How good is Adames? On the undercard, Omari Jones won an eight-round unanimous decision over Christian Gomez. Corey Marksman defeated Jaycob Gomez in a battle of unbeatens, and Teremoana Jnr knocked out Dakota's guy, Curtis Harper.Lester Martinez won a 12-round unanimous decision over Immanuwel Aleem. The win makes Martinez the first Guatemalan world champion ever. In the co-feature, Kevin Anton, a junior middleweight, stopped Kudratillo Abdukakhorov, and Featherweight contender Albert Gonzalez recorded a first-round knockout over Brandon Chambers.A great British card. George Liddard won a unanimous decision over Tyler Denny, Jimmy Sains barely got by Derrick Osaze, and Leli Buttiegieg recorded a come-from-behind knockout victory over Jake Goodwin. The most promising contender, lightweight Giorgio Visioli, looked like a next-level talent.Also, Michael Conlan lost an uninspired split decision to Kevin Walsh. It was the end of an era of Irish boxing.This week, Sebastian Fundora will face Keith Thurman for Fundora's WBC junior middleweight title. In this episode of the Minnesota Fight Night podcast, we go down under to preview the big March 26 boxing card at the Minneapolis Armory. Headlining the PBC card on Showtime is Australian superstar and top super welterweight contender Tim Tszyu, who makes his long-awaited U.S. debut at the historic Armory. Tszyu, the son of legendary former world champion Kostya Tszyu, is unbeaten in 20 pro fights. He faces a tough challenge in the person of Terrell Gausha, a 2012 U.S. Olympian with a pro record of 22-2-1. Gausha is a native of Cleveland now fighting out of California. In the co-feature, two unbeaten lightweights clash as Michel Rivera (22-0, 14 KOs) of the Dominican Republic takes on Joseph Adorno (14-0-2) of Allentown, Pennsylvania. Also on the card, Elvis Rodriguez (12-1-1) of the Dominican Republic faces off against Argentina's Juan Jose Velasco (23-2). The Showtime crew was in town Thursday to talk about the fights and the Minnesota Fight Night podcast was there.
