A big episode this week....so the notes will be just thatThe story of the week isn't a fight. It is Jake Paul and Gervonta Davis who will no longer fight. That also means the undercard is off, and the fight week prelims featuring Jahmal Harvey are off. We give our thoughts on this. That is followed by the weekend recap including the following, Mikaela Mayer becoming a three-division world champion, defeating Mary Spencer. Mayer is clearly a Hall of Famer, and added to her legacy, Joshua Buatsi looked average against Zach Parker, honestly neither looked good, we talk about it, and Lenier Pero defeated Jordan Thompson in a fight that lacked sizzle. On that Florida-based DAZN card, Omari Jones continues to look good, and Yoelvis Gomez and Antraveous Ingram fought to a draw. The big fight of the weekend is on Saturday with Vergil Ortiz returning against Erickson Lubin. Ortiz is becoming one of the most important up-and-coming fighters, and Lubin is a lot better than people think. Both are also punchers. The undercard has some notable bouts, including Darius Fulghum taking on David Stevens. It is a battle of former sparring partners who are both signed by Golden Boy Promotions. Middleweight Amari Jones make his Golden Boy Promotions debut, cruiserweight Robin Safar is featured on the card and heavyweight U.S. Olympian Joshua Edwards will be on the card, too. Also, on Friday, ProBox TV returns with a good one Nicklaus Flaz and Tiger Johnson face each other in a welterweight contender bout. To me, this creates a top-five contender in the thin division. Junior lightweight Dominic Valle returns in a 10-round bout. He is a top prospect/fringe contender, and Katsuma Akitsugi will face Vincent Astrolabio in a good contender bout. Also on DAZN, Friday night, Justin Figueroa and Otto Wallin will be featured. They will be in separate bouts. Mario Lopez and Steve Kim are joined by Golden Boy President Eric Gomez to Talk Ortiz vs Lubin, Thoughts on Canelo vs Crawford & Much More!
Send us a textTwo things can be true at once: Jaron “Boots” Ennis looked sharp at 154 — and it's still way too early to crown him the heir to Terence Crawford. We open with a reality check on tune-ups, why they exist, and what actually proves greatness when you jump weight. Then we map the route Boots needs—Madrimov, Tszyu, maybe Thurman—so talent meets resistance that talks back. The hype's fine. Skipping steps isn't.Next, we dive into the fight that can light up the fall: Vergil Ortiz Jr. vs Erickson Lubin. We break down Ortiz's pressure and body work against Lubin's patience and clean shots, asking the only question that matters: Can Lubin keep Vergil honest without the kind of thud that stops a freight train? With Ortiz's hand health, Crawford's move toward 160, and a potential Boots showdown looming, this one carries real weight. Then it's heavyweight chaos: Joseph Parker vs Fabio Wardley—a live-betting puzzle pitting Parker's composure against Wardley's raw power. We talk odds, variance, and why discipline is the only cheat code up top. From there, it's the sanctioning-body traffic jam featuring Usyk, Pulev, and Itauma, each caught in mandatory madness.Promotion gets its moment too: Jake Paul's MVP keeps finding crossover gold while Danny Garcia's Brooklyn KO reminds us what real matchmaking means. It's that rare week where business meets boxing—and one clean hook can still steal the show.THE SPAR-INN ON YOUTUBE

The electronics manufacturing landscape is undergoing a significant transformation as companies seek global capabilities and strategic advantages in a post-pandemic world. Chaim from Lincoln International, the largest global investment bank focused on private capital markets, shares exclusive insights from decades of orchestrating EMS mergers and acquisitions. After a flurry of private equity-driven consolidation between 2015 and early 2020, M&A activity experienced a predictable downturn during COVID and subsequent supply chain challenges. Now, the market is rebounding with renewed vigor, driven by companies pursuing geographic diversification and vertical integration. This resurgence combines both private equity interest and strategic buyers seeking competitive advantages. What stands out clearly is the critical importance of global agility. Manufacturing leaders face difficult decisions about establishing or expanding operations across various regions including the US, Mexico, and Southeast Asia. Those who can provide customers with production flexibility across multiple geographies possess a significant competitive advantage in today's uncertain regulatory and tariff environment. As Chaim explains, "The best players, the ones that can serve their customers in the way that the customers want, are the ones that have the ability to be global."For companies considering their strategic options, preparation trumps perfect timing. While cultural fit remains important for integration success, the factors that truly drive valuation multiples are operational fundamentals: revenue growth, profit margins, target markets, and customer relationships. Despite fluctuating transaction volume, multiples have remained relatively stable, reflecting the enduring strategic value of well-positioned manufacturing partners.Whether you're considering acquiring capabilities, expanding your global footprint, or planning an eventual exit, understanding these market dynamics is essential. In this episode, MAJ Emily Bobenrieth, Associate Professor in the National Security Law Department, talks with Professor Asaf Lubin, Associate Profes-sor at Indianan University Maurer School of Law and visiting Associate Pro-fessor at Columbia Law School. Professor Lubin shares his over ten years of research into the law and ethics that govern espionage. Professor Lubin dis-cusses how current international law regulates (or rather, falls short to ade-quately regulate) how States spy on one another. Professor Lubin discusses his argument for the development of a new body of law called the, “Interna-tional Law of Intelligence,” a self-contained legal regime specifically tailored to honor the importance of espionage to State security, while simultaneously balancing the protection of individual privacy. Professor Lubin's research cul-minates in his forthcoming book, The International Law of Intelligence: The World of Spycraft and the Law of Nations, scheduled to be released this spring by Oxford University Press, set to be released later this spring. I have my sis Meliss (who is better than me) on the podcast this week for "I Have a Bone To Pick", and we're discussing a truly important girlhood issue that doesn't get talked about enough... why are we called "basic bitches" for simply enjoying things that everyone likes? We've had enough and we won't be silenced any longer! Melissa and I discuss our most "basic" interests, the "Millennial-core" aesthetic, the agony of trying to find unique clothes, and our favorite basic beverages, as well as so many other things! This is a little break from the typical diet culture topics, but let's be honest, diet culture is also super basic and deserves an honorable mention. If you love my sis, let me know and I will bring her back!
