The electronics manufacturing landscape is undergoing a significant transformation as companies seek global capabilities and strategic advantages in a post-pandemic world. Chaim from Lincoln International, the largest global investment bank focused on private capital markets, shares exclusive insights from decades of orchestrating EMS mergers and acquisitions. After a flurry of private equity-driven consolidation between 2015 and early 2020, M&A activity experienced a predictable downturn during COVID and subsequent supply chain challenges. Now, the market is rebounding with renewed vigor, driven by companies pursuing geographic diversification and vertical integration. This resurgence combines both private equity interest and strategic buyers seeking competitive advantages. What stands out clearly is the critical importance of global agility. Manufacturing leaders face difficult decisions about establishing or expanding operations across various regions including the US, Mexico, and Southeast Asia. Those who can provide customers with production flexibility across multiple geographies possess a significant competitive advantage in today's uncertain regulatory and tariff environment. As Chaim explains, "The best players, the ones that can serve their customers in the way that the customers want, are the ones that have the ability to be global."For companies considering their strategic options, preparation trumps perfect timing. While cultural fit remains important for integration success, the factors that truly drive valuation multiples are operational fundamentals: revenue growth, profit margins, target markets, and customer relationships. Despite fluctuating transaction volume, multiples have remained relatively stable, reflecting the enduring strategic value of well-positioned manufacturing partners.Whether you're considering acquiring capabilities, expanding your global footprint, or planning an eventual exit, understanding these market dynamics is essential. In this episode, MAJ Emily Bobenrieth, Associate Professor in the National Security Law Department, talks with Professor Asaf Lubin, Associate Profes-sor at Indianan University Maurer School of Law and visiting Associate Pro-fessor at Columbia Law School. Professor Lubin shares his over ten years of research into the law and ethics that govern espionage. Professor Lubin dis-cusses how current international law regulates (or rather, falls short to ade-quately regulate) how States spy on one another. Professor Lubin discusses his argument for the development of a new body of law called the, “Interna-tional Law of Intelligence,” a self-contained legal regime specifically tailored to honor the importance of espionage to State security, while simultaneously balancing the protection of individual privacy. Professor Lubin's research cul-minates in his forthcoming book, The International Law of Intelligence: The World of Spycraft and the Law of Nations, scheduled to be released this spring by Oxford University Press, set to be released later this spring. I have my sis Meliss (who is better than me) on the podcast this week for "I Have a Bone To Pick", and we're discussing a truly important girlhood issue that doesn't get talked about enough... why are we called "basic bitches" for simply enjoying things that everyone likes? We've had enough and we won't be silenced any longer! Melissa and I discuss our most "basic" interests, the "Millennial-core" aesthetic, the agony of trying to find unique clothes, and our favorite basic beverages, as well as so many other things! This is a little break from the typical diet culture topics, but let's be honest, diet culture is also super basic and deserves an honorable mention. For too long, women's health—especially topics like perimenopause, hormonal changes, and reproductive health—has been pushed to the background in professional spaces. But the reality is, our health impacts how we show up in our careers, our confidence, and our overall success. In this powerful and eye-opening episode of the Career Gems for the Journey podcast, Leah C. Murphy sits down with Dr. Sophia Lubin, a board-certified OBGYN, to break the silence on the health challenges that women face—and why it's time to start having real conversations about them.Key Takeaways from This Episode:

In this episode, I talk to two wonderful women artists and dear friends of mine whom you might remember from the previous episodes on the Podcast: Michelle Lubin (aka MD Ferrera) and Galina Semenova. The reason we got together is to talk about the collaborative exhibition we are having in March 2025 to showcase our womanly experiences from three different perspectives. Our mediums and styles are vastly different, but they complement each other on the visceral, emotional level of expressing and processing emotions we are dealing with. The show will run through the month of March in person at the Artist & Craftsman Supply in San Diego, CA, and the virtual reality gallery space. Most work has never been shown before, and we have a couple of interactive surprises for our visitors. Slam the Gavel welcomes Attorney Gary Dolan from Massachusetts to the podcast to discuss the case of his broken career due to lies, perjury and case-fixing by the lawyers and the judges that may cause him to be disbarred. Attorney Dolan began his career at the age of 50 years. Attorney Dolan was last on the podcast Season 5, Episode 144. It all started with a slip and fall case that involved forgery of a document with a physician's name on it. Other attorneys from Lubin and Meyers' became involved in the malpractice part of the case but left Attorney Dolan with handling the slip and fall case (16 judges involved in the slip and fall case) and that's where it all started. Both cases are still litigating at present time. However, the case was fixed, so the slip and fall injured woman'a case could NEVER win. A forgery was planted with a physician's name in a document six months prior....There was also an incident where there was a no trespass order that was verbally given (not written) by the judge (so he couldn't enter any courthouse) and Gary went to the court house to retrieve documents and he was not allowed to retrieve the documents and was arrested. Attorney Gary Dolan faced a trial with Judge Curran on August 7th, 2024 and was found not guilty because there is no trespassing order. A jury cannot convict on hearsay on a verbal order that was never written. Now he is awaiting the decision on disbarment by the Board of Bar Overseers in Massachusetts. With its lawsuit, Consensys aims to settle the question of whether staking turned ether into a security, and to hopefully put an end to what it calls the SEC's “regulatory overreach.” Listen to the episode on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Pods, Fountain, Overcast, Podcast Addict, Pocket Casts, Castbox, Google Podcasts, Amazon Music, or on your favorite podcast platform. On Thursday, Consensys sued the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in a Texas federal court, seeking to prevent an impending SEC action against its MetaMask wallet and to clarify that ether is not a security. The complaint calls out the agency for what Consensys describes as “regulatory overreach,” challenges its notion that ETH is a security, and says the SEC has violated the Constitutional requirement of fair notice under the due process clause. It notes that for years, the SEC and its sister agency, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, took the position that ETH is not a security. The lawsuit also challenges the SEC's recent focus on Ethereum's switch to proof of stake in 2022 as a basis for increased scrutiny, a stance Lubin deemed "preposterous."Laura Brookover, Senior Counsel & Head of Litigation and Investigations at Consensys, joined Unchained to unpack the lawsuit and what it means for the future of Ethereum and overall crypto in the US.Show highlights:Why Consensys sued the SEC and why Brookover feels like the SEC has gone too farHow they are looking for a Judge to declare that the ETH is not a securityWhether the switch to proof of stake turned ETH into a securityWhy the SEC issued Consensys a Wells Notice, with one potential allegation being that it is operating an unregistered securities broker through its MetaMask walletHow the major questions doctrine applies to what the SEC is doing in the industry, according to BrookoverWhy Hinman's speech is still relevant today, even after 6 yearsWhether the moves by the SEC are related to a motivation to deny ether spot ETFsHow the several cases against the SEC show that the industry “has had enough”Whether Texas is a jurisdiction favorable to crypto, given that many lawsuits are being filed thereThe implications of a Consensys victory for the industry and what the next steps in the case areThank you to our sponsors! iTrustCapital | PolkadotGuest | Laura Brookover, Senior Counsel & Head of Litigation and Investigations at ConsensysLinks | The lawsuit: Fortune: SEC sued over Ethereum, crypto firm asks court to state token is not a securityConsensys's complaintBill Hughes' thread on why Consensys sued the SECConsensys is suing the SEC to defend the Ethereum ecosystemHinman speechCryptoLaw: The Hinman Speech DocumentsMajor questions doctrineUnchained: Why the SEC vs. Ripple Order Is Now About 2 Things: Coinbase and CongressReuters: SEC argues Coinbase crypto case not barred by ‘major questions' doctrine Other SEC cases:CoinbaseUnchained: Why the SEC's Case Against Coinbase Is So Significant for CryptoCourt Rejects Coinbase's Bid to Dismiss SEC Charges Against ItUniswapUnchained: Gary Gensler's Case Against Uniswap: Does the SEC Even Stand a Chance?SEC Puts DeFi in Its Sights With Potential Uniswap SuitUniswap Blog Post on the Wells noticeMarvin Ammori Thread on Wells noticeEthereum FoundationUnchained:SEC Investigating Ethereum Foundation Regarding Proof-of-Stake Transition: ReportThe Real Reason Why the SEC Might Be Going After EthereumDebt BoxUnchained: SEC Sanctioned for ‘Abuse of Power' in Debt Box LawsuitBebaDeFi Education Fund and Beba sue SEC over airdrop policiesLejilexLawsuit document-Unchained Podcast is Produced by Laura Shin Media, LLC. The increasingly pervasive use and abuse of spyware by governments around the world has led to calls for regulation and even outright bans. How should these technologies be controlled? Asaf Lubin, an Associate Professor of Law at Indiana University's Maurer School of Law, thinks that the best path forward is an international agreement that would regulate, but not outlaw, these important national security and crime-fighting tools. He's just published a paper for Laware's ongoing Digital Social Contract research paper series making his case for what he calls the Commercial Spyware Accreditation System. Alan Rozenshtein, Associate Professor of Law at the University of Minnesota and Senior Editor at Lawfare spoke with Asaf about why current efforts to control spyware are insufficient and why only a global regime can do the job.Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/lawfare.
