Tim Cameron-Kitchen, founder of Exposure Ninja, discusses the impact of AI on search and the future of Google. He highlights the emergence of Chat GPT and TikTok as potential threats to Google's dominance. Google responded by integrating AI functionality into its search engine, including Search Generative Experience (SGE) and Perspectives. Tim's agency was one of the first to figure out how to optimize for SGE. However, Google's release of AI overviews, which provide generative AI answers to user queries, received negative feedback. Tim believes that while AI can potentially disrupt search, Google is adapting to stay relevant. In this conversation, Tim Cameron-Kitchen and Dominic Monkhouse discuss the future of search engines and the role of AI in marketing and business. They explore the impact of generative AI on search engine results and the challenges faced by new search engines in competing with Google. They also discuss the use of AI in business operations, such as using AI models to analyse documents and transcripts for better decision-making. The conversation touches on the importance of video presence in remote interviews and the significance of attention to detail in online interactions. Tim shares his favourite books and podcasts for learning and offers insights into measuring success in life.TakeawaysThe emergence of Chat GPT and TikTok poses potential threats to Google's dominance in search.Google has responded by integrating AI functionality into its search engine, such as SGE and Perspectives.Exposure Ninja was one of the first agencies to optimise for SGE and share the process with others.Google's release of AI overviews, which provide generative AI answers to user queries, received negative feedback. While AI has the potential to disrupt search, Google is adapting to stay relevant. Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) can be seen as a bit of a dark art, but as Tim Cameron Kitchen, the chief ninja over at Exposure Ninja explains, at its heart, it's something we can all do. Tim started his career as a drummer, and found his way to where he is now in a less than conventional way, having learnt everything from on the ground up on the job! On this episode of the Small & Supercharged Podcast, Tim talks  about SEO, busting myths, simplifying jargon, and sharing some great tips that anyone can use to make it easier for your potential customers or readers to find you when they visit their favourite search engine and put in those all important words. As I mentioned (a few times!) in this episode, in addition to being the chief ninja at Exposure Ninja, Tim has also written a fab book called How To Get To The Top Of Google. If you want to explore all of this a bit more, I'd definitely recommend having a look at that too!

And that’s how his journey into digital marketing started. There’s a couple of pitfalls that new businesses can fall into. One of the most serious is believing that because you’re a startup, you need to chase investment. On this episode, we touch upon several points including the massive mistake he made early in his business and what he learned from it the importance of sales teams making sure your business is profitable and stable before you seek investors, and more Get in touch with Tim: Exposure Ninja: https://exposureninja.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/timcameronkitchen Twitter: https://twitter.com/timninjakitchen Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ExposureNinja

Business Coaching with Join Up Dots

My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a man who quite simple should be loving his life. He is a creative at heart and has found his way to online success with several businesses. Leaving the University Of Southampton in 2007 with a bachelor of arts in Music you can see quite clearly how the dots have joined up. As he says “I decided to make a go of professional drumming. I spent a couple of years developing something called Online Session Drumming, where I'd record for bands and musicians around the world from my home studio. To do this, I had to learn to market myself effectively by building websites, getting to the top of Google, and learning how to advertise. I wrote a book introducing this way of recording which got extensive coverage in the drumming press, filmed 19 DVDs, ran 2 newsletters and membership clubs, and the method went on to become a way of life for hundreds of musicians around the world. It turned out that I quite enjoyed the advertising and websites bit of the job, even when I got bored of the drumming. My next door neighbour at the time was a plasterer in need of extra work so I built him a website. The effect this website had on him spurred me to start JobDoneWebsites, which went on to become the UK's leading tradesman-only marketing company.” You see our guest was willing to put himself into environments where he was required to do serious upskilling on every turn. He didn't have the answers but was willing to that extra mile to make those answers himself. And upon developing those skills, he was actually building the foundations to what he has achieved today. Presently he is the head ninja at Exposure Ninja an online marketing company that has grown to 35 Ninjas in less than 3 years. An expansion which has been exhilarating/tiring/fun/inspiring/hard work. The results he gets for his clients are he says are “Sick, and we're hungry and passionate to help more dominate in competitive markets online.” So is this the business that will be his legacy work, or just the start of other ventures? And what was it about the entrepreneurial life that so appealed against going the normal route and entering the corporate world? Well let's find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Mr Tim Cameron-Kitchen

Digital Marketing King Tim Cameron-Kitchen From Exposure-Ninja shares his amazing story to creating digital marketing success My guest today, on the Steve Jobs inspired Join Up Dots free podcast interview is a man who quite simple should be loving his life.
