Sleep all day, party all night, never die, never grow old and the next line we all know it. Is it true? Well that all depends on who you ask. The tag line tells us that "it's fun to be a vampire." For David and the Lost Boys that certainly appeared to be the case even for Lestat. But what of the icon of vampire lore Count Dracula? His history seems one marred by tragedy. While you are endowed with near immortality your weaknesses are all but common knowledge. Sunlight, stakes through the heart, garlic. But has anybody read a real book about vampires? Like a Time-Life book? We will have to ask Seth Gecko and Sex Machine. An incredible story of perseverance on this episode of the DOMKcast. Michael Orlando was on tour with the band Vampires Everywhere when their bus was hit by a drunk driver. Crippling injuries were sustained as a result of the crash and sent Michael to rehab where he began a long grueling recovery. Reemerging with a new perspective on life, Michael decided to get back in the music business and start another band called Dead Girls Academy. He talked about the effects of going through a traumatic event like the bus crash has had on his life. Michael still deals with flashbacks from time to time and avoids driving in the dark all together. Perhaps a little problem with OCD, Michael talked about his quirks that he does while out on the road and touched on the bedbugs epidemic. This is a real thing and had Lunchbox curious as to how you check for them. Michael loves to watch food shows in his spare time. He gives some of his favorites and we dive into some old shows from years past. New album “Alchemy” is out now. Hear “No Way Out” at the end of episode 70 of the DOMKcast. #DOMKRocks

This week is all about Vampires, the good, the bad and... the terrible. Whilst we had really hoped to uncover some of the best and worst, perhaps, maybe... we ended up stuck with some of the worst... Michael got lumped with Vampire Academy and the Vampire Diaries, whilst Davina suffered through Queen of the Damned and limped to the finish line with My Babysitter's a Vampire. They're all a super hot mess... take a listen as we... digest....

Got a chance to sit with founder and writer of Cult Empire comics , George Lennox. George spoke about how his initial involvement in the industry as a trader of back issues led to creating his own publishing company who have relased titles such as Vampires Everywhere and most recently Vietnam Zombie Holocaust. Passionate about telling stories and creating comics. It was a pleasure chatting to George. I hope you enjoy.
