Norwegian superstar Astrid S has blown the world of pop music away with a staggering 5 billion streams of hit songs such as "Hurts so Good", "Think Before I Talk" and "It's OK If You Forget Me". Her second album, the newly-released 'Joyride', reflects her growth as an artist, inspired by car journeys with her Dad. They listened to bands like The Killers, Fleetwood Mac, Coldplay, and HAIM - early musical impulses that are reflected throughout the new album. Astrid S is a global pop artist with sold-out world tours and several awards in the luggage, including Spellemann (Norwegian Grammy) and MTV award. She has previously collaborated with talents such as JP Cooper, Shawn Mendes, NOTD, and previous Léim Thart guest Dagny. 2020's debut album 'Leave It Beautiful', became a bible of Scandipop, crafted mostly with Swedish production duo Jack & Coke. Astrid compares the process of making the new album to speed dating. She has stepped out of her comfort zone and jumped into sessions with many different producers, including JT Daly (K. Flay, Benson Boone, PVRIS), Oliver Lundström (Carly Rae Jepsen, Dagny) and Matias Téllez (girl in red, Sondre Lerche, Maisie Peters). We had the pleasure of interviewing Jagwar Twin over Zoom video!Deemed by many as the unofficial anthem of the " Wonka" soundtrack, Jagwar Twin has officially entered the new year with a lyric video for the massive hit, "Bad Feeling (Oompa Loompa) ". Weaving together candycoated harmonies and whimsical instrumentals, the track epitomizes Jagwar Twin's distinctive musical prowess that effortlessly balances nostalgia and fresh innovation. With over 40 million views across TikTok and 8 million streams in less than a month, Jagwar Twin's latest electrifying single has taken the digital music scene by storm, achieving remarkable success on TikTok and playlists alike. The track's infectious beats and catchy lyrics have sparked various viral trends on TikTok, where users from around the globe have embraced the song with over 150K user-created videos using the track, securing Jagwar Twin a spot on TikTok's Viral 50 Chart. Simultaneously, " Bad Feeling (Oompa Loompa)" has found its place on influential playlists across streaming platforms, including the coveted covers of not only Spotify's The New Alt and Limelight, but Amazon Music's DV8. This dual triumph highlights Jagwar Twin's innate ability to connect with diverse audiences and solidifies the track as a dynamic force in the contemporary music landscape.Coinciding with the release of Paul King's "Wonka", “Bad Feeling (Oompa Loompa) ” features an interpolation of “ Oompa Loompa", marking a rare approval from the original film's composers. Delving into the world of Willy Wonka, Jagwar Twin brings a new life and twist to the classic "Oompa Loompa" chorus, while also modernizing it. Co-written by Sean Van Vlee t (All Time Low, PVRIS) and Ryan Daly (Dove Cameron, John Legend), "Bad Feeling (Oompa Loompa) ", exemplifies the magic of modern visionaries reimagining the timeless charm of musical classics."Bad Feeling (Oompa Loompa)" is similar in style to his previous release, “ Good Time (1:08)”, which peaked Top 20 at Mexico radio, and stand out track “Happy Face.” With an impressive 425+ million catalog streams and 2.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify, Jagwar Twin stands out as a dynamic force challenging the status quo of the alternative music scene . His genre-defying artistry has captivated audiences through the seamless blend of rhythmic accordion hooks, melodic children's choirs, and gritty breakbeats, accompanied by profoundly introspective, almost cryptic lyrics.Jagwar Twin's previous album, 33, channeled the magnetic showmanship of Ziggy Stardust -era David Bowie and Bad -era Michael Jackson, all while unapologetically embracing authenticity and vulnerability. Fueled by chart-toppers like "It's Your Time," "I Like To Party," "Down To You," and "Happy Face," Jagwar Twin serves as a powerful catalyst. His innovative style urges listeners to embrace their true selves, recognize their self-worth, and place trust in their individuality. We want to hear from you! ABOUT SENSES:Los Angeles rock trio senses cultivate a unique pop-rock edge by utilizing dark synths, driving guitars, pounding drums and unique storytelling. The band, which originated when singer Madison Taylor met guitarist Josh Bissell and drummer Nick Sampson on Craigslist, prides themselves on their anthemic, relatable songwriting. They have a handful of tracks under their belt already, produced by acclaimed engineer Blake Harnage (Tate McRae, PVRIS), which have garnered over 600,000 streams. Earlier this year, the trio finished their debut EP with producer Keith Varon (Machine Gun Kelly, Travis Barker, The Aces, Nightly, jxdn), which is expected to be released in September 2023. The first three singles off the debut EP – ‘sleepwalking', ‘novocain', and ‘gonna make sure' – are streaming now on all platforms and the fourth single ‘one last time' will be released on July 26, 2023. Their contagious single "sleepwalking," supported by MTV, NickMusic, Wonderland Magazine, Rolling Stone IN, AXS TV and more, landed the band's first radio support with adds on KROQ, idobi Radio, DC 101 and more. The track also received support on several editorial playlists, including Spotify's The Scene, All New Punk and The Locker. In early 2023, they were also selected to support Carlie Hanson on her North American tour which spanned 25 major cities. The band is already back in the studio working on their second EP which will drop in early 2024.CONNECT WITH SENSES:Website - Facebook - Twitter - Instagram - TikTokSUPPORT THIS SHOWSUBSCRIBE TO YOUR LIFE THE MIXTAPE MAGAZINE

You Me at Six's Josh Franceschi, Lynn Gunn of PVRIS, Cody Frost and A Day to Remember's Jeremy McKinnon discuss getting protective over their own original ideas, writing with people from different styles and genres, releasing music at 4am in the morning, and the importance of liking your own music. Josh Franceschi founded You Me at Six in 2006 with a group of school friends, and since then they've released seven studio albums of pop-punk and rock. Their most recent album SUCKAPUNCH reached number 1 in the UK album charts back in 2021 and sees them introducing dance, R&B and hip-hop elements into their sound. Lynn Gunn is the vocalist and multi-instrumentalist from the band Pvris. After releasing their hugely successful debut album White Noise in 2014, her band have continued to prove they're one of the most innovative groups in rock right now, blending explosive, rhythm-driven rock music with atmospheric electro-pop. Jeremy McKinnon is the singer, producer and frontman of A Day to Remember. He's been releasing his incredible fusion of metalcore and pop-punk music since 2004 and has also lent his production skills to some of the best bands in the scene, including The Devil Wears Prada and Neck Deep. Cody Frost is a young singer-songwriter and tattoo artist who makes maximalist electro-pop-punk music. She started out uploading covers to YouTube after teaching herself piano and guitar, and her debut mixtape TEETH was released in 2022. She's also recently been collaborating with You Me at Six.

We had the pleasure of interviewing Future Palace over Zoom video.Future Palace just released their brand new album “Run” via Arising Empire and have shared the video for "Dead Inside”.The song appears on the band's sophomore album Run. Get the album, which has been receiving increased attention from radio and press, such as SiriusXM, Idobi, American Songwriter, Bringin' It Backwards, A&P Reacts, Good Noise, and more, here. The release comes in CD, limited colored vinyl, and bundle formats."Dead Inside" is about the aftershocks from a toxic relationship that not only left its mark in the past, but also raises the question of how to deal with it after the fact."At the beginning of 'Dead Inside,' there was the personal experience that there are people who justify their behavior by saying that they are irrevocably and emotionally cold," says guitarist Manuel. "The track deals with a sometimes tragic situation both — lyrically and instrumentally. It reflects inner turmoil, helplessness, and anger at the same time.""Dead Inside" is the kind of song that begs to be played live, as well. "The new songs not only sound different," he continues. "They also came from different feelings. We are therefore particularly looking forward to the live shows — because capturing these feelings in music is one thing. Being able to share and express them directly is another." This is music that wants to be heard and felt — always and everywhere. For the music video, Future Palace worked with Peter Leukhardt (Annisokay, Beyond the Black, and Rising Insane.)Run was produced by Julian Breucker and Annisokay guitarist Christoph Wieczorek, who also mixed and mastered the record. The album explores the aftermath of a toxic relationship in a stunning and vulnerable way. The struggle with one's own salvation is only the beginning — even after escaping from a tough situation. The band sets these painful processes to music in dramatic post-hardcore fashion, which atmospherically reproduces the ups and downs of emotions. Kindred sonic spirits are Holding Absence, Spiritbox, While She Sleeps, Bring Me The Horizon, and Pvris.Future Palace released their debut Escape via Arising Empire and have since accumulated several million streams across streaming platforms. We want to hear from you!
