Formed in early 2019, The Florentinas comprises Paddy Boyd (vocals), Jacob Kane (bass), Luke Swann (guitar) and Jakob Swann (drums), who met at secondary school in Bangor, Northern Ireland. Their hook-heavy indie rock has garnered attention at home and beyond, signing a publishing deal with BMG in 2020. The band have supported Nothing But Thieves, The Amazons, Stereophonics and Snow Patrol, as well as performing at Stendhal Festival, Electric Picnic and Other Voices in 2022.

Ce 1er juillet, Alexis plonge les auditeurs de Pop-Rock Station dans une sélection éclectique. On débute avec Suede et leur titre "Disintegrate", annonçant un dixième album pour septembre. Côté nouveautés, Dinosaur Pile-Up présente "Big Dogs", tandis que Francis Zégut choisit "Broken Rib" de Jehnny Beth, extrait de son futur album prévu pour fin août. L'album de la semaine est "Tracks II: The Lost Albums" de Bruce Springsteen, dont on écoute "Repo Man". Shirley Manson et Garbage sont de retour avec "Stupid Girl", et Placebo signe un détour par 2006 avec "Post Blue". Le live de la soirée est assuré par Woodkid depuis Montreux. Paul Banks d'Interpol livre une reprise saisissante de "Sister Midnight" d'Iggy Pop.
