This was so much fun we forget we were recording! After fuelling up a starving Sother with one of Will Wyatt's preposterously good Electric Burritos, Sother kicks off by spilling the tea on Trap Cocktails, Maxwell Britten, and his firm's soon-to-open African diaspora restaurant, Ubuntu. We discuss the joys of vegan food both at the DIG fast-casual chain and at Eleven Madison Park, Sother invents the word "proteinaceous", Phil Barlow and Coconut Cartel rum's copper ice plate gets a look in, we learn about bidding for vintage rye whiskey at Sotheby's , why modern corks are way better, and if you can even get regular Michelob any more. Just to show off, Sother becomes the first guest on the show ever to use the word "nomenclature", we explore why flair is hard but mixology is easy, rap about the joy of yummy drinks a la Leo Robitschek, why there are only a few really outstanding people in any field, how millionaires can get tax rebates in Sweden, taste some genepi, then some gin, and announce the world exclusive of Sother's forthcoming pineapple habanero mezcal hot sauce. (By the way, that quote I mentioned was in Sebastian Faulks' James Bond book "Devil May Care", not one of Anthony Horowitz's Bond books, and here it is: "The waiters in their short white coats were all Romans of a certain age who had spent a lifetime in their chosen profession. They were swift and precise in their movements, polite without being deferential." ) Love that. Will Wyatt and the Winner Faces make history twice in one postseason by advancing into the Finals as the three seed? Or will Hunter and the Knights decapitate the wild Bulls? Beyond Westworld – An Aftershow companion to the HBO series Westworld
Crisis Theory Analysis Welcome to Beyond Westworld, and boy do we have some deletions for you… Viva la Revolution! Humanity is free to make their own choices free of Rehoboam even though those choices will eventually lead to humanity's extinction. So what in the hell did season 3 even accomplish? For starters it confirmed that Bernard carries Arnold's guilt about his wife and son with him and he was finally able to make peace with that. The Man In Black was always a psychopath from birth and because of that the asshole version of himself will always prevail. Maeve is the only one that can say my word is my bond and mean it. Stubs may not be a can opener but he is a bottle opener. Caleb is one of the nice the guys, not the kind that wants to be nice to get something something from you if you catch my drift, but just a classic nice guy. Then there is Dolores, oh Dolores. Finding the beauty in all that splendor, hopefully we will meet again, someday. But as for the finale, Dolores and Caleb attempt to gain control of Rehoboam at Incite but are stopped short by Maeve. With the human revolution and rioting in full effect we wonder how will humanity survive what comes next. When Caleb's Solomon plan is taken by Maeve at the last second, all seems lost for Dolores Prime and her plan but not before a touching good-bye sequence from Maeve before her last memory is loaded up into Rehoboam, the backdoor access from Solomon. This gives all power to Caleb to execute the Delete All command from Rehoboam including Dolores. Be sure to answer our park satisfaction questionnaire this week down in the comments. What do you want to happen next in the story for season four? Is Stubs still in the tub? Will Wyatt turn Lawrence back into El Lazo? Is Dolores truly gone? What is the next move for Charred-lores and her Delos resources? But most importantly just what the hell happened too Bernard for all those years? Join us again next season as we discover these questions together Beyond Westworld Keep Connected Each week Beyond Westworld will take a deep look at both the minor and major plot lines and character elements within the riveting HBO series, Westworld. Be sure to subscribe and review us in your podcast app of choice. A special thanks to RJohn.Draws for creating our podcast cover art. If you love it, be sure to check out the rest of his artwork. Beyond Westworld on Facebook Beyond Westworld on Twitter Beyond Westworld on Instagram Troy's Twitter Aaron's Twitter Subscribe About HBO's Westworld In 1973, celebrated author and filmmaker Michael Crichton released Westworld, his visionary idea of what a theme park could be as human-looking androids fulfilled our every desire. Four decades later, creators Jonathan and Lisa Joy Nolan are taking the concept to the next evolutionary step as Westworld can now be ‘fleshed’ out as a deeper concept that explores the vast array of potential and consequence from such advanced technology. The one-hour drama series is a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the evolution of sin. Set at the intersection of the near future and the reimagined past, it explores a world in which every human appetite can live without limits, no matter how noble or depraved, can be indulged. The cast of the series includes Evan Rachel Wood, Ed Harris, Anthony Hopkins, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, James Marsden, Tessa Thompson, and more.

On today’s episode you get to hear two friends, who have done a whole lot of life together, sit down over coffee and talk about a whole lot of things, but particularly about what peace is and what it is not. My friend Alice Sally is a working Momma to three kiddos, and one of them has Down Syndrome. Alice shares with us about what her and husband, Eddie’s, journey into being a Special Needs family has looked like, as well as her journey of working through debilitating anxiety, healing from trauma, and how she can walk, sometimes limp, through all of that but still experience peace. If you hang with us to the end, we even dip into the murky waters of merging Santa and Christmas and Christianity. Peace is not something we can muster up on our own, it is a gift of the Spirit, but it does not mean we never feel. You can walk through incredibly long and hard seasons, and still experience peace. However, if Jesus is the Prince of Peace and this wild story of being born in a barn is how He is born, then the peace He brings is not going to be the peace we expect. Episode 83 continues our discussion with Dr. David Clark. David has spent a career trying to teach dentists to look at composite restorations differently. His minimally invasive concepts have been published all over the place and his Bioclear matrix system is helping dentists remove less healthy tooth structure and giving options besides full preparation for crowns. In this episode Dr. Clark discusses: What advantages does heating composite give us? Does heating composite damage it? Why injection mold instead of layering? What happens if you don't remove biofilm before bonding? Also helping us with our interview is Dental Hacks regular Dr. Arthur Volker who is also an instructor with Bioclear. In our Brain Trust segment we continue our discussion about crown and onlay preparation. Dr. Arthur Volker, Dr. Lance Timmerman and Brain Trust virgin Dr. Will Wyatt dig in to their individual processes and armamentarium to deliver some really good stuff. Some of the products discussed: Dr. Mike DiTolla's "reverse crown prep" Meisinger's occlusal reduction bur Brasseler's K5 bur Alan's "skinny" bur 3M retraction capsule Aquasil Ultra Cordless If you have any questions or comments for us please drop us an email at info@dentalhacks.com or find us (and like us!) at www.facebook.com/dentalhacks. Dr. David Clark is a pioneer of sorts. He started using a dental operating microscope long before they were "a thing" for restorative dentists. Once he started routinely using a microscope, he realized that how we handled composite resin needed improvement. So he set about to change the way dentistry understands and uses composite resin. In the first half of our fascinating talk with Dr. Clark we talk about: dental operating microscopes, why and how selective caries removal and the "Modified Hall Technique" why mylar is isn't just wrong, but "fractally" wrong the development of Biolclear matrices and the Bioclear Method Also helping us with our interview is Dental Hacks regular Dr. Arthur Volker who is also an instructor with Bioclear. In our Brain Trust segment we take an entertaining look at the onlay vs. crown debate. The CW gives us a mid-season teaser (we can't bring ourselves to call it a premiere) of iZombie, just enough to whet our appetites and raise our expectations. But do they deliver? After a crazy holiday, we get this one episode to hold us through the cold month of January, but they certainly didn't skimp on the details! Not only do we get (almost) all our heroes, but both villains are back to begin plotting their nefarious plans. Throw in a school full of zombies, a lab full of Romaros, and a craft service table full of food (yum!), and you have a recipe for the next pork rind addicting hit!Dorin and Heather return to the microphone to discuss the episode "Method Head." Are Liv and Major really broken up or just on a break? Will Ravi be able to find a true cure? Will Blaine get cozy with the FBI as well as the ADA? Can Clive get fresh muffins for the precinct? Does VDC trust his daughter or his bromance more? Will Minor be a major problem? Will Wyatt be the next Blue Ranger?Tune in for the latest installment of SciFi4Chicks and hear Heather and Dorin's opinions about the plot thickening, stories intertwining, relationships breaking apart and coming together. So many questions, so little time!
