My first exposure to house music was actually the Ministry of Sound and Hed Kandi nightclubs in Singapore thanks to all the up and coming European DJs that would always pass through. When I left Singapore I moved to New York for uni and started performing/producing music for a Latin/Caribbean/Middle-eastern dance team before eventually starting to DJ locally and finding my niche in Brooklyn's underground scene. Over the past few years I've played bigger NY nightclubs such as Webster Hall, Output, Schimanski to smaller warehouses in deep Brooklyn - supporting acts ranging from Walker and Royce to The Magician as well as Aluna George. Most recently I supported Tchami on his Ghosts tour at Analog, Steve Darko at HOY and soon will be playing BangOn's Elements Music Festivals over memorial day weekend. I also just wrapped up my first original track called "she doesn't know," release date TBA on a big time label based out of the UK. My mix series Midnight Snack is a project that aims to amplify and showcase outstanding talent with a heavy focus on artists who are female/non-binary. Each feature includes a guestmix and a written interview to share a behind the scenes look into the artist's life. The name was inspired by many artists juggling various responsibilities and working late hours just to pursue a musical (or related) passion (just like me and many of us in this industry!)

I started a remix to the original version of Shout by Tears For Fears a long time ago, but the original vocals weren't working for my mix. I postponed the remix for a long time and then one day I accidentally found Scandroid's cover of Shout on YouTube and I really liked it. I immediately realized that Scandroid's vocals were exactly what I needed to finish my remix. I completed the remix and sent the demo to the FiXT label. DMTx Download The summer has been busy for us at Psychedelics Today. We have been working hard on launching our new online course, "Navigating Psychedelics: Lessons on Self-Care & Integration." Beside lining interviews up for the podcast, we have been recording video interviews/master classes for the course. Since we just launched the course this week, we figured that would check in and just talk about what's been going on. This conversation takes off with Joe and Kyle discussing the recent DMTx event that took place last month in Boulder, Colorado. During this talk, we both speculate the risks and concerns of this research as well as the potential benefit. With the conversation revolving around DMT and extended-state DMT research, the discussion heads down the rabbit hole for a bit and we explore the global crisis, climate change, future uses of DMT, alien worlds and alternative dimensions, and more! We also highlight the recent death of Baylee Ybarra Gatlin, who passed away at the Lightening in a Bottle festival during Memorial Day Weekend. The autopsy report suggests that Gatlin passed due to "Acute LSD Toxicity." Many condolences to the Ms. Gatlin's family and friends. It is very unlikely that Gatlin died from "Acute LSD Toxicity," but rather most likely from ingesting another substance like 25i-NBOMe. Tragic situations, like these, really stress the importance of substance testing. It seems that with the rise of research chemicals, adulterations in substances, and drugs laced with fentanyl one can never be 100% certain of what they are actually ingesting.
