Putting the Yeee in YEEDM | Taylor Kade

Welcome back to another episode of the Underground Society Podcast. Today we have the “founder” of Yeedm, Taylor Kade. And if you are wondering what Yeedm is, it is simply combining the country songs that many people know and love with the EDM that you and I have such a passion for. Taylor has made so many opportunities for himself from playing a whole Yeedm set at EDC to recently creating some originals with country star Chase Wright just by leaning into what he is passionate about and making it his own! His biggest lesson and how he has created such a unique lane for himself is by utilizing the power of social media. He says “The amount of traction that you can get from posting a video for free, is absolutely unbelievable” and he wishes that more artists would lean into the tools that we have right at our fingertips. Welcome back to another episode of the Underground Society Podcast. In this episode we talk with Nosphere who had a tweet “explode” with over 600k engagements where he mentions Ghost Production. While Ghost Production is frowned upon in this industry, it happens a lot more than you would think. But that wasn't the problem…A part of what Nosphere does is ghost production. It's a great way to make money and he has been very successful at it. But today he tells us a story of something that we all should look out for in this industry which is getting taken advantage of or “used” by one of his clients that he was producing for. As soon as Nosphere progressed and began to understandably raise his ghost production prices, his client decided to dip and move onto the next young artist who would do the job for a lot cheaper. His biggest piece of advice? DO NOT DO ANYONE FAVORS in this career field, you will most likely end up feeling used.Thank you so much for tuning in, enjoy the episode!Society Selects (Last Updated 6/25/24)Follow NosphereInstagramXSpotifyYouTubeUnderground SocietyInstagramXSpotifyYouTubeWebsite: www.undergroundsocietypodcast.comSupport the Show.

Welcome back to another episode of the Underground Society Podcast. Our guest today, Carol, is the first young artist that I have seen in a while that has put an immense amount of time, money, and effort into the branding and live performance of his act. You see Carol grew up a massive fan of all things haunted. Building news channel worthy haunted houses with his dad to raise money to donate to charity for children, gave him the foundational business knowledge that he has used in his music project today. However, there is one key factor to his success that he always makes sure to give credit to which is - his dad. Growing up as someone who is gay and the fact that he was into all things haunted, he was very misunderstood by some of his family, colleagues and friends and in the early phases of his career it was hard for him to get booked for shows since his brand was so “out there”.  But there was one person who always supported him no matter what, his dad. And in this episode we talk all about how important it is to have at least one person in your corner who is judgment free and who is going to be there with you to support you no matter how crazy and wild your dreams are. Thank you so much for tuning in, enjoy the episode!Society Selects (Last Updated 6/4/24)Follow CarolInstagramXSpotifyYouTubeUnderground SocietyInstagramTwitterSpotifyYouTubeWebsite: www.undergroundsocietypodcast.comSupport the Show.

(i.e. Level 9 Turtle & Cha Cha Step w Tvboo)One would think it was easy for him to conceptualize his brand and his project in this way but in our conversation, he explains that he not only had to build the confidence to do something unique and different “go right when everyone else goes left”. Setting the Right Intention | Sara Benyo

Welcome back to another episode of the Underground Society Podcast. Our guest today, Sara Benyo, might be known for her vocal work with artists like Jessica Audifred or Freaky but there is so much more to her than what's just on the surface or the vocal work that she has done. For starters, Sara has also been djing and producing and is now touring as a solo act playing festivals like Breakaway and EDC! Furthermore, a GIANT part of her brand is spirituality (which of course intrigued us). We are always told as believers to live by the phrase “WWJD” - What would Jesus Do and as you can tell right off of the bat, she writes music to heal people which is mirrored by the life that Jesus lived while he was here on earth. Today she describes how every single decision in her career is all centered around her faith and how she wouldn't be here if it weren't for her gift of music. For her, she claims that no matter if it is about her writing, her spiritual practices, or even her use of certain substances, it all comes down to her intent behind the things she does. In this episode we hope to share with you why intention setting is so important and how it can help you walk more confidently as a believer in the music industry. Thank you so much for tuning in, enjoy the episode!Society Selects (Last Updated 5/7/24)Follow SaraInstagramTwitterSpotifyYouTubeUnderground SocietyInstagramTwitterSpotifyYouTubeWebsite: www.undergroundsocietypodcast.comSupport the Show.

Welcome back to another episode of the Underground Society Podcast. You probably know today's guest by one of his hit songs “Come Check This” which has received over 18M plays on Spotify alone! It originally went viral on TikTok with its own dance and quickly made its way to the top of the EDM charts. What we thought was interesting about Fetish is his concept of his project as a whole. You see the name Fetish and you think of this polarizing idea of something that some may be very into and others maybe be very turned off from. But what Fetish attributes all of his success to is writing music that has a specific feeling which makes you want to get up and dance as well as truly leaning into being as authentic and true to himself as possible without questioning the opinions of others. And today, he tells us all about what that authenticity means to him and how he continues to create music from that place no matter what genre that each individual song falls into in order to add to his grander idea of adding as many songs to the “Human Art Project” that he can.Thank you so much for tuning in, enjoy the episode!Society Selects (Last Updated 5/1/24)Follow FetishInstagramTwitterSpotifyUnderground SocietyInstagramTwitterSpotifyYouTubeWebsite: www.undergroundsocietypodcast.comSupport the Show.

While it is difficult to do when dealing with things like marriage, career, finances, etc. it is even more challenging sometimes to surrender to God's timing and lean on our faith in Jesus when it comes to our path in music. In this episode, they talk about what made them fully surrender in their own lives and how much of a difference it has made for both of them. Thank you so much for tuning in, enjoy the episode!Ps. Because they enjoy making so many different types of music, it has been extremely hard for them to land on a “signature sound design” that most of the larger artists are known to have.  So instead of using a specific sound design or style to their music, they explain how they have taken more of an approach to make all of their art in a “cinematic” way. Coming off the release of their brand new album “Genesis” they said that fans can expect more music coming from them that encapsulates a mixture between hard hitting dance music and Hans Zimmer (famous movie score / composer) and we couldn't be more excited for them.Thank you so much for tuning in, enjoy the episode!GO STREAM GENESISSociety Selects (Last Updated 3/19/24)Follow NimbvsInstagramXSpotifySoundCloudUnderground SocietyInstagramTwitterSpotifyYouTubeWebsite: www.undergroundsocietypodcast.comSupport the show

Building a career in music takes a lot of hard work and long hours for years before you ever start to see any kind of success and it is so easy to ignore things like friends, family, hobbies outside of work, and even things like remembering to eat (yes, I am guilty of this one). But today we have Sully who recently just put out his debut album “Digital Underground” that speaks directly about this topic. Sully says “throughout my adult life, I've struggled, I've struggled with balance. I've lost so many hours where I could have been reconnecting with a friend, but instead I was trapped in front of a computer screen trying to create music that I love. But that's a good thing. I get to express myself, play amazing shows, meet fans, create memories. However, a part of me feels unfulfilled because I forget to pause and appreciate the most fundamental things in my life. The Digital Underground represents the void in my life and the balance that I want to get better at controlling. It's expressed in every note, lyric, and sound that I put into the album.” Today we talk all about this new album and his very first headline tour that is accompanying it.Thank you so much, enjoy the episode!Society Selects (Last Updated 10/10/23)Follow SullyInstagramTwitter (AKA X) SoundCloudSpotifyUnderground SocietyInstagramTwitterSpotifyYouTubeSoundCloudWebsite: www.undergroundsocietypodcast.comSupport the show

It's the name of the game and we all must learn, at some point and time, to get past these rejections and find the strength and the courage to keep moving forward.  Today I got the pleasure of speaking with High Society about his rise from the metal world and his transition into Electronic music where he has had to face repeated rejections. When I asked him how he found the strength to keep pushing forward, I was gladly surprised when he explained that the relationships that he has built outside of music are responsible for keeping him motivated and on track.Book Mentioned in EpisodeSociety Selects (Last Updated: 3/21/23)Follow High SocietyInstagramTwitterSoundcloudSpotifyUnderground SocietyInstagramTikTokTwitterSpotifyYouTubeSoundCloudWebsite: www.undergroundsocietypodcast.comSupport the show
