Mackenzie Derns is one of the biggest favorites on this weekend’s cards, but is her opponent Hannah Cifers actually the better bet? Roosevelt Roberts is another fighter who is highly favored as he takes on a tough Brok Weaver. However, Calvin and Brandon are both a little skeptical of this line.Spike Carlyle is the name to keep an eye on this weekend. Can he take down Billy Quarantillo with another quick knockout as he did in his last fight? The co-main event is our only Heavyweight bout on this card. Brandon leans one way while Calvin leans the other in a bout between Blagoy Ivanov and Augusto Sakai. It’s been a long two months but we finally have some live sports action this weekend in the United States as the UFC is set to return on May 9th.This week’s episode starts off with some talk about the current Coronavirus issue. Brandon has been doing some extensive research over the past couple of months and gives his input on how he feels the Coronavirus situation will pan out. Calvin, on the other hand, just hopes that sports will get back to normal sooner rather than later.Taking a look at the first live sporting event in the United States in nearly two months, Calvin and Brandon go through every match set on the UFC 249 card. Even the early prelim fights have some solid matches, one of which really intrigues Brandon.Heading into the second wave of prelims, the card starts to get stacked. Brandon’s favorite pick of the card was set for the prelim fights. However, Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza tested positive for Coronavirus shortly after the podcast was recorded. Therefore, his match with Uriah Hall has been canceled.Once we get to the main card, we are treated with two title fights. However, Calvin’s favorite fight of the entire card isn’t one of those title fights. Instead, Calvin is excited to see an all-out brawl between two of the biggest hitters in MMA history when Francis Ngannou takes on Jairzinho Rozenstruik.After giving out their favorite picks of the entire UFC 249 event, Calvin and Brandon take a quick look ahead to UFC Fight Night: Smith vs Teixeira which will take place on Wednesday, May 13th. It’s not just all basketball, as they talk some XFL action, Brandon informs you on some UFC action this weekend and Calvin talks a little Premier League Darts action.Wichita State and Memphis lead off the college basketball card. It’s a big AAC matchup for both teams but Memphis needs this game more. They are small favorites at home. Can they get the crucial revenge win or will their season be in jeopardy? New Mexico and Utah State battle in the Mountain West tournament. The Lobos defeated the Aggies just last week. Can Utah State rebound and cover the big double-digit spread?In the Pac-12, Washington State takes on a struggling Arizona. The Wildcats have lost their last three-game and the Cougars have struggled all year. Is there a good spread bet in this one or should you focus on the total instead? In another Pac-12 game, Cal takes on Oregon. The Ducks are still looking to at least get a share of the Pac-12 regular-season title. It’s another double-digit spread game but the total appears to be a better bet in this one.XFL Week 5 is this weekend and Calvin continues to bet a couple of small games per weekend. Brandon is still doing some reconnaissance on the XFL before he begins betting. If you’re into betting the XFL listen in to a couple of Calvin’s suggestions and see if you want to fade or follow.UFC 248 is the weekend and we will be in for some title fight action. This is a solid card with some big names and Brandon is looking forward to betting and watching this one. San Francisco is looking healthy again, so are they the team to beat now? The second Saturday game is between Tennessee and Baltimore. Like Minnesota, Tennessee pulled a bit of a surprising upset when they took down New England last week. Can Tennessee keep it going or is Baltimore just too good? Should we expect a high-scoring or low-scoring set of games on Saturday?The first game on Sunday is between Houston and Kansas City. The Chiefs are a big favorite after Houston managed a comeback win against Buffalo after trailing by 16. The total is climbing, should we tail or fade the rise? The final game of the weekend is between Seattle and Green Bay. Seattle is the only road-favorite this weekend, is that the right move or not? The spread keeps climbing in the Seahawks favor, but why is that? Can Green Bay defend their home turf and advance to the NFC Championship game? Will we be seeing more points on Sunday or are we in for another low-scoring week like last week when all four playoff games went under?Calvin gives out three NCAAB picks for Friday night.
