The Trojans fell 30-27 in overtime, blowing a 10-point fourth quarter lead and an opportunity to finish the 2025 college football season with double-digit wins. Coach gives his thoughts on the performance, all of the players that decided to opt-out of the game and what that means for the program going forward plus defensive coordinator D'Anton Lynn not calling plays at the very last minute. The guys also talk about Lincoln Riley's search to replace Lynn and potentially other defensive coaches on the staff. With the NCAA Transfer Portal window open, it would be behoove Riley to have the leader of his defense in place to try and keep players on the roster and add guys from other teams. USC blew a 10-point fourth-quarter lead to fall, 30-27, to TCU Tuesday night in the Alamo Bowl, and the USCFootball.com team was there to cover all of the action. In the latest edition of Instant Analysis, Connor Morrissette and Shotgun Spratling give their thoughts on the USC loss and what it means for the future of the program. USC gave up a 35-yard touchdown on a third-and-20 play in overtime to lose. The Trojans were severely undermanned, but still had multiple chances to win before collapsing.  Jayden Maiava completed 18-of-30 passes for 280 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. King Miller rushed for 99 yards and a touchdown, and Tanook Hines caught six passes for 163 yards. Both USC's offense and defense had chances to land knockout blows and couldn't.  Ryon Sayeri made a 22-yard field goal on USC's first offensive possession of overtime, which put the Trojans ahead 30-27. But then USC's defense couldn't get a stop after pinning back TCU to a third-and-20 play. Horned Frog quarterback Kenny Seals threw a screen pass to Jeremy Payne, and Payne broke multiple tackles along the left sideline en route to scoring the game-winning touchdown. Shotgun Spratling and Chris Trevino return to the microphones for a news-heavy episode to discuss all the latest updates from USC football from transfers, NFL declarations to players returning.  Chris opens up the 'Two-Minute Drill' that's actually a statement for the feedback he received from his Two-Minute Drill from last week. Shotgun uses his tine to discuss junior wide receiver Makai Lemon taking home the Biletnikoff Award over the weekend. Lemon caught 79 passes for 1,156 yards and 11 touchdowns in 12 games. Lemon also rushed for two touchdowns, and he threw a touchdown pass. Lemon's 90.4 overall offensive grade from Pro Football Focus led all FBS wide receivers this season, and his 1,156 receiving yards were the most among Power Four wideouts. On this latest edition of Tunnel Vision USCFootball.com's Ryan Abraham, Connor Morrissette (aka "Triple-Double") are back in studio recapping USC's 29-10 victory over UCLA, capping a 9-3 season for the Men of Troy and a likely trip to San Antonio for the Alamo Bowl and an opportunity to win 10 games. With star wide receivers Makai Lemon and Ja'Kobi Lane suspended for the first quarter for violating team rules, the offense struggled in the first half and only managed to put one touchdown on the board. Things picked up in the second half for USC, with the offense putting up points and the defense pitching another shutout, dashing UCLA's hopes of an upset bid in the Battle for Los Angeles. The guys breaks down the game, talking about how missing the top-2 receivers set the offense back in the first half and some of the defensive struggles that led to the Bruins taking the lead in a game for the first time in 40 days. After halftime quarterback Jayden Maiava settled in and found his two stars, Lemon for a 32-yard touchdown and Lane on a couple of crucial drive-extending catches. King Miller also ran well, finishing with 124 yards rushing, 42 receiving and two total touchdowns, earning him USC's player of the game. Finishing the regular season 9-3 is better than most expected, but in some ways it still feels like a disappointment with the opportunity to make the College Football Playoffs just a missed field goal at Illinois away. The guys take a look at the season as a whole and discuss why Lincoln Riley said this campaign was an important springboard towards the future success of this Trojan football team.
