It's not a given that the Knights are dialed in after losing to the Cardinals this past Friday. 2) The health status of WR Ryan O'Keefe. UCF uses O'keefe in many ways. He needs to be a major part of the offense, but what if he has to sit out? That means O'Keefe and Amari Johnson are out. Plus, not sure about Kobe Hudson until it is clarified if he's going to play against FAU. 3) Defending the run has been up and down for the Knights. Even taking out the runs that Malik Cunningham created, there's been some run fits missed by UCF defenders against traditional inside zone and outside zone. FAU has a talented running back that is discussed in this podcast, and the Knights had better be ready for him. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Dalton identifies the key players to watch for both the Louisville Cardinals and the UCF Knights ahead of Friday's contest. Louisville quarterback Malik Cunningham did not have a good performance in week one against Syracuse and the Cardinals will need him to bounce back in a hostile environment on the road. Wide receiver Ahmari Huggins-Bruce only recorded two catches last week; Scott Satterfield and company will need to devise more ways to get him the football in this matchup. Veteran pass rusher Yasir Abdullah only had two tackles against Syracuse, but the Louisville defense will need him to have a big performance on Friday. Linebacker Ben Perry led the Cardinals in tackles last week, and looks to continue that consistency in this game. Dalton then identifies and discusses wide receiver Javon Baker and linebacker Jeremiah Jean-Baptiste as the players to watch for UCF. In the final segment, Dalton explains why he believes UCF will win against Louisville, while also covering the spread. Title Sponsor- BetOnline Today's Episode is brought to you by BetOnline. In episode 287 of Sports Bliss with Rob and Kris, Rob and Kristie start the episode discussing the expansion of the College Football Playoffs. They discuss how the CFP will expand form 4 teams to 12 teams and how they think this will effect college football. Kristie also brings up that Dabo Swinney isn't too happy with all the changes in college football. Then they review the best and weirdest games of week 1. Some of the teams they discuss are the Florida Gators, UCF Knights, FSU Seminoles, NC State Wolf Pack, UNC Tar Heels, Houston Cougars, Arkansas Razorbacks, Iowa Hawkeyes, usf cows/bulls and the Nebraska Cornhuskers. They also discuss the weirdest punt play possibly in college football history. As always Rob and Kristie end the episode with trivia and a would you rather. If you enjoyed this episode please subscribe, rate, and tell your friends or anyone you think would enjoy our podcast. Text or leave voice messages for us at (407)494-6420 and we may read or play them on the next episode. Mentioned in this episode: Why get life insurance? We pay hundreds of dollars per year to protect our homes, our cars, and even our phones, but too many of us aren't taking steps to protect our families' finances. Mortgage payments, private student loans, and other types of debt don't just disappear if something happens to you. A life insurance policy can provide your loved ones with a financial cushion they can use to cover those costs - and it can provide you with peace of mind that even in a worst-case scenario, they'll be protected. Already have coverage through work? Having life insurance through your job may not be enough: Most people need up to 10x more coverage to properly provide for their families. And coverage through work isn't portable. If you leave your job, the policy doesn't go with you, meaning a gap in coverage when you need it most. Why get covered now? Life insurance typically gets more expensive as you age, so it's smart to get a policy sooner rather than later. Worried about price? By making it easy to compare your options from top companies, Policygenius can help you make sure you're not paying a cent more than you have to for the coverage you need. How it works 1. Policygenius is an insurance marketplace that makes it easy to compare quotes from top companies like AIG and Prudential in one place to find your lowest price on life insurance. a. Four-star RB Samuel Singleton has committed to Florida State. Mike Norvell's Florida State Seminoles 2023 recruiting class has added another nice bluechip recruit on the rec trail with his commitment. Running back is a big position of need for FSU and the ‘Noles got one of the best the state has to offer. Singleton hails from Fleming Island, Florida, and attends Fleming Island High School. He stands 5'11 180 pounds and has a 90 rating (4-star) from the 247 Sports Composite List. The sites consider him the 287th best player in the country (15th best RB and 58th best player in Florida). The talented back chose Florida State over offers from the LSU Tigers, Miami Hurricanes, Michigan Wolverines, Michigan State Spartans, Penn State Nittany Lions, Tennessee Volunteers, and UCF Knights, among many others. Before his recent official visit, Tomahawk Nation recruiting analyst NoleThruandThru had this to say about Singleton: Singleton is a tough runner and doesn't shy away from contact. He's a track and field star with nice speed, as evidenced by his 10.86 100-meter dash last spring. He's a threat to break off a huge play every time he touches the ball, and averaged 6.4 yards/carry last season. Singleton would be a welcome addition to the running back room. Tomahawk Nation: for Florida State Seminoles fans

Hello everyone, happy Wednesday -- this is Noles News Now, the latest in Florida State Seminoles sports, presented by Tomahawk Nation. I'm Perry Kostidakis -- let's jump in. More news on the recruiting trail for FSU -- this time in the form of a 2023 linebacker commit, DeMarco Ward out of Duluth, Georgia. A three-star prospect, the Seminoles earned his pledge over conference opponents Louisville, Wake Forest, and Duke as well as the UCF Knights and Memphis Tigers. Ward stands at 6-foot-2, 205-pounds and accumulated nearly 80 tackles (65 of which were solo), three sacks, and an interception last season. In addition to linebacker, he gets reps at wide receiver, as well as playing basketball and running track to complement his gridiron exploits. Ward's ranking doesn't immediately jaw drop -- he's a newly-christened three-star -- but his highlights show an affinity for contact, an ability to diagnose plays, and some impressive flashes of athleticism. He's a nice addition to a 2023 class that's looking to hear to some good news as we get into July -- a month where FSU has the chance to snag several commits, mostly blue-chip. Some major football news in the ACC, with the conference dropping divisions starting in 2023 and instead having teams play three permanent opponents while rotating other programs on the schedule so that each team has the chance to play a home and away game at each member school. That's a benefit not lost on FSU athletic director Michael Alford, who said in a press release that “The new format means our season ticket holders will see every ACC team play in Doak Campbell Stadium over a four-year period.” As part of the new arrangement, Florida State will be facing off against the Clemson Tigers, Miami (FL) Hurricanes, and Syracuse Orange yearly. Why Syracuse? Our sources have said that rather than saddle FSU with a trap game in Georgia Tech each year, FSU lobbied for a matchup that would help expand its geographical footprint as well as present a little bit less of a challenge, given that its two permanent matchups are against two of the bigger names in the conference. For those curious, outside of FSU, Miami's other two permanent opponents are Boston College and Louisville, while Clemson is paired up with Georgia Tech and NC State. FSU track star Trey Cunningham became the second Nole in school history to be named a finalist for The Bowerman — one of three male finalists for college track and field's most prominent individual award. Via FSU, he was the first athlete in NCAA history to run 13.22 or faster nine times in the 110m hurdles and the only athlete to run 7.42 or faster four times in the 60m hurdles.  Of the three finalists, Cunningham is the only athlete to be undefeated against collegians in both the indoor and outdoor seasons. Cunningham went 20-for-20 against collegiate competition. That's the major news of today -- you can read up on all of these stories and more on TomahawkNation.com, where you can always stay updated on all the latest things Florida State.
