Being able to come to the place where you enjoy the ride. You have to be proactive and interact with the driver. You can’t take the wheel either or it leads to a destructive relationship. But you can still make suggestions and dictate the drive a little bit. You’re still apart of decisions. Empowerment came through routine, movement and tribe. There’s a transition period when you a enter a new stage of life. Excavation Questions: What makes you feel comfortable? What keeps you from going into new territory? What makes you feel like home? Is it setting your physical space? Discovering your the area around you? Do you recognize when you are in a rut? When you do, how do you speak to yourself? How have you reacted to change in the past? How do you like to move your body? What kind of community do you see yourself in? What do your friendships look like now? What do you want in a friendship?   Books we LOVE:The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up - Marie Kondo The Four Agreements - Don Miguel Ruiz

Watch I Am The Greatest speech here!   Holding Space: Basically you put down the wall, take down the guard, and listen. That’s it. Listening is one of the hardest things to learn. We’re constantly waiting to get in the next word; to have the last word; we’re thinking about what we’re going to say WHILE the other person is talking. So holding space and non-violent communication is allowing the person you’re talking with to have the room, to speak freely and know that they’re being listened to. As the person holding space your perspective might be challenged. So how can you respond, instead of react? How can you stay grounded in my truth, in what you believe in, and come from a place of understanding?   Shift Your Perspective: How can you be open in the way you look at life, a situation or conversation? When we shift the way we think, it doesn't mean we give up what we believe in. Instead we allow some new light to be shed on our pre-existing ideas.  Stand In Your Truth: Communicating from a place of honesty and upholding your core values. How can you share your experience while staying both grounded and receptive? You’re not trying to prove your truth, you’re just communicating from that place. Maybe this new perspective enhances your truth and makes it stronger, or it makes more room for other truths. The Driver: I love the idea about being the driver and the passenger. I think it’s something we can all relate to because at one time or another, most of us have been a driver and most of us have been a passenger. As the driver there is a lot of responsibility and attention. Being the driver of a conversation, situation or stance in life doesn't mean being aggressive, controlling or dominating. It means there is an opportunity to come from a place of inspiration, empowerment and motivation.  The Passenger: You can't control what you can't control. Being the passenger of a conversation, situation or place in life, doesn't mean being passive or submissive. Instead you come from a place of understanding, trust, attention and compassion while staying grounded in what you believe in.  We're All On Our Way Home: What does 'On Our Way Home' mean? It means we're all trying to reach that place in our lives that feels whole, balanced, centered, honest and true. It's the place where we feel most aligned, full of joy, and like ourselves.

It's not the contrast of light, it's the unknowing, the things your mind creates, you're afraid of what you don't know, and you don't know what you don't know. Fear creates stress which in small doses is beneficial because it keeps you grounded and focused but if you let it consume you it could destroy you. True North Definition: The actual definition of True North is "North according to the earth's axis, not magnetic north." Magnetic north pulls the needle of the compass to the direction that isn't accurate. If you look at a compass and it points north, it isn't necessarily true, because the earth's magnetic poles are not fixed. This applies to us as well. Our true north is not necessarily what we have at face value. We're given an idea of what we're supposed to be attracted to, i.e. gossip, materialism, things we don’t need, image, status, income, and these things pull us further away from our true north, the things that make us feel whole, actualized, energized. Our true north is the real measure of success and these things, the magnetic north, pulls us away from the direction we should be going according to our heart and inspiration. It's not to say magnetic north isn't important. You can use this to find your true north, but you have to remember that there is a balance, they work together. How they connect: True North & Fear ride together in the same vehicle while on the same journey. It is so important to see this distinction and that it’s never one or the other. By turning on the light to your True North you’re unveiling the Fear that rides along with it. Instead of turning away when fear shows up, we can use it as a tool to manifest our dreams. We can use it as a way to dive deeper into the way we operate when push comes to shove. Fear can have a voice that says “Are you sure you want to do this?” and maybe it will have some good points. It can also say “you’re not qualified for this” so maybe that pushes you to grab more information. Fear can have a voice, but the only thing it can’t do, is drive.
