You know how people run while wearing extra weight when they are training? So that when the time comes for a race they will be fast enough to win. Watching this movie was kind of the emotional equivalent of that.Hosts:Tyler HarrisGwen HammerTyler McKinlayJustin HammerTruman BlanchardProduced and Edited by: Justin HammerTheme Song by: Justin Hammer
Truman warned us that these lase few episodes of Made in Abyss went some places, but I don't think any of us were totally prepared for what that meant. Some of us are Made in an Abyss. Others are born into it, but some of us have the Abyss thrust upon us. No matter who you are, boy do we have an episode for you. Orphans, Robots, Penises, Child labor, child abuse, beautiful vistas, monsters that sound like people who are in trouble. If you are interested in one or more of these things...you need to watch Made in Abyss. As the air begins to bite and foliage loses its ever more tenuous grasp on life, it seems only fitting that our media choices pair well with Nature's beautiful slide into Winter. In between reading House of Leaves and playing Night in the Woods again I like to revisit the magical woods of Over the Garden Wall. And this time I brought some new friends! Please do yourself a favor, make some cider, wrap yourself in a blanket and watch Over the Garden Wall with someone you care about. You will not regret it.Hosts:Tyler "Bones Inside Me" HarrisTyler "Ghosts Inside Me" Har-McKinlayGwen "Werewolf Inside Me" HammerJustinnnnnnnn "Inside Me" HammerProduced and Edited by: Justin HammerTheme Song by: Justin Hammer

Psycho! Time to discuss one of Hitchcock's masterpieces, and finally add it to the Rewatchers on the Pod Cinematic Universe.Hosts:Mitchell MarshallTyler McKinlayGwen HammerTyler HarrisJustin HammerProduced and Edited by: Justin HammerTheme Song by: Justin Hammer
Die Hard, a movie so important it nearly buckles under the weight of its own influence. And certainly enough weight that our podcast buckled under the stress of covering this thing. Man, what an episode, more foot talk than we will ever allow to happen again, an update on Mitchell's Tinder adventures, and just a dash of reminiscing about Mike V...what an episode.Hosts:Mitchell MarshallTyler McKinlayGwen HammerTyler HarrisJustin HammerTheme Song by: Justin HammerProduced and Edited by: Justin Hammer
This is definitely in the running for least amount of time spent talking about a movie on our podcast, and if we were to break down the time that we were talking about the actual movie I definitely feel like it would be the champion, but hey...we watched those Dalmatians. In 2020. What more do you want from us? Yeah, I know you didn't ask for this. Hell, I bet you listened to an episode of our podcast and were so blown away by our insights that you couldn't wait ti hear our nuanced takes on this Disney gem...and I can't help but feel absolutely responsible for your disappointment. But, I also love you enough to share a piece of advice with you.; if anyone ever freely offers up their "deep" and "nuanced" takes on 101 Dalmatians, do not trust them. They are probably representatives of the shadow government there to make you disappear for that "great" webcomic you have been working on.Hosts:Mitchell MarshallTyler McKinlayGwen HammerJustin HammerTyler HarrisProduced and Edited by: Justin HammerTheme Song By: Justin Hammer

Full disclosure, 90s "Ninja" movies have fried our brains. The ratio of Surf Ninjas Discussion to us talking about literally anything else is heavily skewed. Also, Harris made a very regrettable joke in the closing minutes of this podcast that he expects to be paying for in the afterlife, if such a thing exists. Ninjas. Turtles, News, Science. One movie has it all, and it's the one we watched this week. YOu should watch it, then let's compare notes or something.Hosts:Tyler MckinlayJustin HammerTyler HarrisEdited and Produced by: Justin HammerTheme Song Written by: Justin Hammer
Swans. Ballet. Mommy Issues. Please enjoy this podcast. Oh, and somehow we discuss Perfect Blue again, but Tyler Harris forgets to talk about The Red Shoes parallels and has to live with that for the rest of his life. Also, the Charlotte Hornets are discussed.Hosts:Mitchell MarshallJustin HammerTyler McKinlayTyler HarrisTheme Song by: Justin HammerEdited and Produced by: Justin Hammer
Ignorance is an unexpected virtue when Birdman attempts to make the transition from billion-dollar blockbuster to million-dollar stage play. The wacky hijinx just continue from there as he is forced to face the greatest trio of villains he has ever known, self-doubt, self-destructive tendencies, and The Phantom Drummer.Hosts:Mitchell MarshallGwen HammerJustin HammerTyler McKinlayTyler HarrisProduced and Edited by: Justin HammerTheme Song by: Justin Hammer
We played The Last of Us Part 2 and had some serious thoughts, so this is our recorded group therapy session. The first bit we talk strictly gameplay and design, leaving the back half for unpacking our thoughts on the narrative (that discussion starts at 57:30).***This episode is only recommended for those who have finished The Last of Us and The Last of Us Part 2.***Hosts:Tyler McKinlayTyler HarrisJustin HammerProduced and Edited by: Justin HammerTheme Song by: Justin Hammer

When you're a dancer, you dance. End of story. That leaves shocking ly little room for complex emotional payoffs, conversations or grounded details about complex living arrangements.
Sometimes an artist has a vision that serves as a perfect metaphor for the unforeseen circumstances of technological advancement, and the inevitable bureaucratic and societal failings that will inevitably follow. Then years later, someone see that vision and say, let's make the Dinosaur thing look meaner, and make it more like the expensive and immensely successful dinosaur movie that Steven Spielberg made a couple of years ago, and make millions of dollars. And then, they don't make millions of dollars...So...yeah, we watched Godzilla.
If you're gonna watch one movie about convicts hijacking a plane and landing it on the Las Vegas strip, it should be this one. 'Nuff said.
What exactly is under this world? Is it worth making a stylishly and expensively shot documentary about? Could I have done with being eased into the fact that Vampires and Werewolves exist? Yes. Am I disappointed that my lot in life is as a mere mortal whose eyes and senses will never fully behold the truth of the world around him? Yes? Am I going to....what? It isn't? So, it's not a documentary?...Oh, thank god.
We watched the official sequel to Hamlet this week.
Pi's life is neverending journey, but luckily Ang Lee shortened it down to manageable runtime of 3.14159265359 half hours. What a magician.
