O mercado de trabalho formal no Sul de Santa Catarina encerrou o ano de 2025 com saldo positivo de 7.704 vagas, conforme dados do Cadastro Geral de Empregados e Desempregados (Novo Caged), divulgados pelo Ministério do Trabalho e Emprego. Apesar do resultado positivo, o desempenho foi o mais fraco para o período desde 2020, ano impactado diretamente pela pandemia da Covid-19. Ao longo do ano, a principal característica da geração de empregos na mesorregião foi a oscilação. Os meses de janeiro e fevereiro apresentaram os melhores resultados, com saldo positivo também em março e abril. O primeiro recuo foi registrado em maio. Entre junho e setembro, o saldo voltou a ser positivo, porém em níveis inferiores aos observados no mesmo intervalo de 2024. Nos últimos meses do ano, o movimento de desligamentos se intensificou. Novembro e dezembro fecharam com saldo negativo, sendo que somente em dezembro foram encerrados 5.196 postos de trabalho com carteira assinada no Sul do Estado. Na Região Carbonífera, o saldo acumulado de janeiro a dezembro de 2025 ficou positivo em 2.093 empregos formais, igualmente o menor resultado desde 2020. No mês de dezembro, a região registrou saldo negativo de 2.446 vagas. Todos os 12 municípios que integram a Associação dos Municípios da Região Carbonífera (Amrec) apresentaram redução no estoque de empregos no último mês do ano. Treviso teve a menor variação negativa, com queda de 0,07%, enquanto Balneário Rincão registrou a maior retração, de 2,98%. Os números e o cenário do mercado de trabalho regional foram comentados pelo economista Leonardo Alonso Rodrigues, consultor da Associação Empresarial de Criciúma (ACIC), em entrevista concedida ao programa Cruz de Malta Notícias, nesta quinta-feira (5).

O presidente da Associação Empresarial de Criciúma (Acic), Franke Hobold, participou de entrevista no programa Cruz de Malta Notícias, nesta segunda-feira (5), onde apresentou um balanço das atividades desenvolvidas pela entidade ao longo de 2025 e destacou os principais projetos que devem nortear a atuação da associação em 2026. Durante a entrevista, Hobold avaliou o desempenho da Acic em um ano marcado por desafios econômicos, reforçando o papel da entidade na defesa dos interesses do setor produtivo, no estímulo ao empreendedorismo e na promoção do diálogo entre empresários, poder público e a sociedade. Segundo ele, a atuação institucional foi fundamental para representar as demandas do empresariado em um cenário de incertezas e mudanças no ambiente econômico. *Texto com informações de Deize Felisberto A audiência pública promovida pela Comissão de Indústria, Comércio e Serviços da Câmara dos Deputados, nesta terça-feira, 21, em Brasília, encaminhou a necessidade de aguardar o retorno do Ministério dos Transportes sobre os estudos que definirão a solução mais viável para resolver o gargalo logístico representado pelo trecho do Morro dos Cavalos, na BR-101, em Palhoça. O ministério avalia três possibilidades: que a obra seja executada pela concessionária Arteris Litoral Sul — atualmente responsável pelo trecho em processo de renovação de contrato —, que o segmento passe à gestão da CCR Via Costeira, administradora da BR-101 Sul, ou que o próprio Departamento Nacional de Infraestrutura de Transportes (DNIT) assuma a execução, mediante inclusão no orçamento federal. As empresas Arteris e Via Costeira manifestaram disposição em negociar a melhor alternativa, enquanto o Ibama confirmou que o projeto de construção de dois túneis para transposição do Morro dos Cavalos apresentado pelo DNIT possui licenciamento ambiental vigente, que pode ser renovado e readequado conforme a definição sobre a responsabilidade da obra. O encontro foi solicitado pelo deputado federal Luiz Fernando Vampiro e contou com a presença do presidente da Acic, Franke Hobold, além de integrantes do Fórum Parlamentar Catarinense, representantes do Ministério dos Transportes, Agência Nacional de Transportes Terrestres (ANTT), DNIT, Tribunal de Contas da União (TCU), Ibama, concessionárias e lideranças empresariais. A transferência do trecho da BR-101 que compreende o Morro dos Cavalos para a concessão da CCR (Motiva) foi a proposta unânime entre os presentes na reunião do Fórum Parlamentar Catarinense, realizada na última sexta-feira (26), na sede da Associação Empresarial de Criciúma (ACIC). A medida é apontada como a alternativa mais rápida e viável para viabilizar a construção dos túneis na região, considerada um dos maiores gargalos logísticos de Santa Catarina. A sugestão prevê a extensão da concessão da CCR até o km 176 da BR-101, no início do contorno viário de Florianópolis, permitindo que a concessionária assuma as obras no Morro dos Cavalos. Atualmente, a empresa administra o trecho sul da rodovia federal e detém a menor tarifa de pedágio do Brasil, o que, segundo os parlamentares, garante condições para a incorporação do novo segmento. A reunião em Criciúma foi prestigiada por prefeitos, vereadores, deputados estaduais, empresários e dirigentes de entidades. Dos cinco deputados federais da região, três marcaram presença: Vampiro, Ricardo Guidi e Daniel Freitas. As deputadas Julia Zanatta e Geovânia de Sá não participaram do encontro. O deputado federal Luiz Fernando Cardoso, o Vampiro, participou de entrevista nesta segunda-feira (29) no Cruz de Malta Notícias e comentou sobre os desdobramentos da reunião e a importância do encaminhamento dado ao impasse da BR-101 no Morro dos Cavalos. Ainda durante a entrevista, Vampiro confirmou que está migrando para o PSD.

A obra é considerada essencial não apenas para a segurança de quem trafega pela rodovia federal, mas também para a saúde e o bem-estar da população. O trecho, com tráfego intenso, está sujeito a bloqueios em condições climáticas adversas ou acidentes graves, dificultando o acesso a serviços de emergência, transporte de pacientes e atendimento médico, além de se transformar em um gargalo logístico que compromete a economia da região. A campanha engloba inicialmente as associações empresariais de Araranguá (Aciva), Içara (ACII), Tubarão (ACIT), Orleans (ACIO) e Braço do Norte (Acivale).
