ICYMI: The Mo'Kelly Show Presents – A conversation with Styles P. and Adjua Styles regarding the new season of VH1's “Couples Retreat,” the series where “celebrity cast members take a week-long vacation for an honest, uncensored conversation about the challenges and triumphs of their relationships, the complexities of love, heartache and communication”…
Celebrity couple Styles P. & Adjua Styles Chat re: "VH-1 Couples Retreat" show, which premieres May 16, 2022 9pm (Eastern/Pacific) on VH-1. On VH1 Couples Retreat, celebrity cast members take a week-long vacation for an honest, uncensored conversation about the challenges and triumphs of their relationships, the complexities of love, heartache and communication – as well as mental health, overcoming infidelity, navigating grief and loss, spirituality and more. Among the celebrity couples is Styles P. and Adjua Styles who maintain a strong bond after 25+ years of marriage after facing hardships such as infidelity and the loss of their daughter to suicide. Styles P is a member of the legendary hip hop group The LOX (alongside Jadakiss and Sheek Louch). The LOX reunited in 2014 and Styles P. continues to tour, both with The LOX and as a solo artist. Adjua Styles is an entrepreneur, author, mother and wife. She's been featured in Oprah's “Black Love” documentary, Madame Noire, Revolt, Vibe, Rolling Out and BET among others. After the passing of their daughter, Tai, Adjua has allowed spirituality to guide her on her path to healing. As the author of The Ethereal Hike: How to Discern the Privilege of Loss Through the Power of Love, she hopes to help others move through their own trauma and go from surviving to thriving.
It's no secret that I love Reap Wellness. I have ordered their local food delivery service for an easy, super healthy solution to meal planning and cooking during my busier weeks (the amount of energy I save to put toward other things is AMAZING). I love popping into their mini mart whenever I am in Fishtown to grab my favorites: Watermelon Candy, Rose Petal Nori Brittle, and the Hydra Crunch Glow Bowl. In this interview I chat with Adjua, the co-founder of Reap. We talk skin, beginning and owning a business, letting GO of perfectionism and why what you eat is the focus of how you feel (and look). This episode is like chatting with a good friend or putting on your favorite big sweater. It leaves you informed and feeling good! https://www.reapwellness.com/Code: ABWellness for 10% off through December @reapwellness on Instagram
In this episode, the ladies converse with Styles P's wife Adjua to chop up topics, discuss healthy eating, and of course The Verzuz Battle between The Lox & Dipset.
When it comes to the love story of Styles P and his wife Adjua, it's holds true that opposites attract. Adjua met Styles P while he was recording in the studio and from that moment they started a relationship that lasted 10 years before marriage. Over time, the two discovered that a difference in perspective does not have to cause a rift within the marriage. Their marriage hit a rough patch when infinitely took place, however, learning to communicate effectively and becoming better listeners is what helped the two to grow in their marriage.
