Clicks And Leads | For Entrepreneurs | Digital Marketing | Success Thinking | Being A Digital Nomad

If you have created a successful training course, think about whose Members might benefit from your course too. This will create a win/win for both parties and is known as 'white labelling" where you re-create your course inside someone else's Membership area. You will usually get paid on a "per user" basis or you can even negotiate a "buy out" free for a certain period of time. Or consider a mix of the two! Clicks And Leads is a "tongue in cheek" digital marketing Vzine by entrepreneur, author, podcaster, speaker, Nicola Cairncross. On the blog Resistance Visualisation What Does Success Mean To You What To Do With Your Goals Beating Resistance - Tip 1 Beating Resistance - Tip 2 What You Focus On Increases Leveraging Intellectual Property Getting Out of Your Own Way: Louise Fletcher Prefer to read? Well, it's been a fun old week this week. I've been simultaneously really busy and simultaneously lying about a lot on the beach. It's been very hot, so you try to get your computer close by too and get down the beach every afternoon. And Saturday and Sunday, I spent nearly all day down there, marvellous! So what have I been up to this week? Well, I have been setting up a T-shirt company when I've always wanted a product-driven company as well, and I finally had a bit of a brainwave about how I could lightly monetize something I do for passion which is run the Stoupa Life Group on Facebook. Now, there's lots and lots and lots of people joining this all the time and I've been sort of trying to find a way to make a little bit of cash out just to cover the cost, really. But I didn't really want to make it too commercial so we had the idea on the beach on Sunday to set up a T-shirt company with just a Stoupa Life logo. So that's what I've been doing today and it's going live soon on StoupaLifeShop.com. So I'd have to get my daughter Phoebe out to model some of the T-shirts soon, although they do have a fantastic way of using their in-house models to get you started. So if there's anything you're thinking of monetizing, anything you've got passion around, any group you run that's got lots and lots and lots of people and you can't think what those people might like to buy, sometimes, it's just a matter of starting a T-shirt company where the logos are on the T-shirt because people want to be part of a tribe. So we'll see how that goes when I launch it on Saturday because of course, I limit commercial ads in the group to Small Business Saturdays. That includes me too. So yeah, I'll tell you about the rest of the week as we go through the episode today. This week, I'd like to talk about how to white label your products because what I found is that there are specific groups of people who respond very, very well to the whole Be Everywhere Online concept. The first group was Amazon store holders and I found that out by being invited to speak to some Amazon store holders in Australia a couple of years ago and about 25% of the room signed up to my Be Everywhere Online Programme then. And this year, I went again to speak to even more of them, a bigger crowd, and 30% of the room signed up to join my Be Everywhere Online Tuition then. And when I was in Vegas, Las Vegas for the Mastermind. I'd presented three times on the Be Everywhere Online concept. And afterwards, someone came up to me and said they had a whole tribe of therapists, hypnotherapists who were very, very good at what they did but who weren't so good at marketing themselves and this person had heard on the grapevine, because he wasn't at any of my tables, that the Be Everywhere Online concept might be good for his audience, his community. So we're just working our way through talking about the potential for that, how we would do it, how I would be willing to let my intellectual property be used, and how I could set that up within his world garden, as he called it, which means his membership area rather than mine,...

One of the best ways to create passive income is to create something of value that you can leverage again and again. Nicola is uploading the audio version of her book "The Money Gym" to Audible and is excited to get started on the promotion for that. Working with the publisher of the print version, Nicola's planning a marketing campaign where anyone buying the book for 99p and writing / screenshotting a review, will get a free copy of the audiobook. She's planning a series of "Ask Me Anything" Facebook Lives to promote this offer. She's also in talks with someone who wants to "white-label" her "Be Everywhere Online" marketing course for their audience, where Nicola delivers it once then they pay her an amount per future user in a "buyout" agreement. What could you create that you could make money from over and over again? Clicks And Leads is a "tongue in cheek" digital marketing Vzine by entrepreneur, author, podcaster, speaker, Nicola Cairncross. On the blog Resistance Visualisation What Does Success Mean To You What To Do With Your Goals Beating Resistance - Tip 1 Beating Resistance - Tip 2 What You Focus On Increases Moving Forwards Does Your Relationship Help or Hinder your Business? Prefer to read? Hi it's Nicola here, and it's a glorious 30 degrees-something in Greece today. I'm off down the beach any minute, which is why I have my sunglasses on. It's going to be sunny all day, all weekend, something like 37 degrees; looking forward to it. First swim in the sea, perhaps it might be hot enough for that. Yeah, it's been a great week here at Cairncross Towers, I have had a meeting with someone who I met in Las Vegas, we had a zoom meeting with his ops director this week. Basically, what he wants to do is licence the right to use my material inside his membership site. He's got three thousand therapists who haven't got a clue how to market themselves online, and he thinks that my "Be Everywhere Online" programme will be fantastic. Now, that really is a great result for me because he wants me to go in, deliver it, create it all again in his membership area, and then I get paid a royalty for everyone who actually goes through the programme, which is great fun. They get to create a new source of income without having to do the actual work, I get another source of income from something I've already done most of the work on, and that is really very cool indeed. So, I'm very excited about that. Intellectual property is a marvellous thing. I want to talk a bit more about that in the middle section, so lets go straight on over there, shall we? I have spent all of this week getting my Money Gym book onto Audible. This involved me reading it out, which I had done several years ago, actually, but I had to go through and edit it all to make sure that all the "ums" and the "ahhs" and the "oh my gods" when I made a mistake were all edited out, because obviously you want the best quality product you can put onto Audible, because people will be paying a significant sum of money. But, yeah, I'm looking forward to that. I have always given away the audio in the past, but I think getting it onto Audible will open up a whole new market, and it's been a bit of a slog, but the best thing of all is, it's my intellectual property, I wrote the book, and I've got several books more that I can also get onto Audible now. Now I know the process, it's actually very easy indeed, and it's giving my intellectual property another run for it's money, if you like, and the best thing about that is that I'm going to be able to use it for a promotion for the whole My Gym book concept, because when Audible's ready, I can then do something to promote the Amazon book, and I can get my publishers to drop the cost of the Amazon book down to 99p for a limited time. Then I can do, say, a week-long promotion, and if anyone goes along and buys the book on Amazon for 99p,

Own It! For Entrepreneurs. Talking Digital Marketing, Small Business, Being Digital Nomads and Success Thinking

Bearing in mind what Nicola said last week about her success in selling from the stage giving her cause to think about all the marketing she normally does, Judith brings the focus of the week and it is selling.   In The Show Nicola is planning her return to Stoupa on Saturday and reports that she feels recuperated after her long flight back from Oz. She’s also been shopping and re-stocking – new suitcases and a hard drive and more booty besides including a Fitbit and contact lenses. Judith’s still focused on the logistics of this week’s house move, all was going swimmingly until a blown fuse took out the central heating and the shower!   What's Fuelled Their Fire? Nicola has been reviewing her notes from the SuperFast Business Conference and James Schramko has sent all the delegates a recap document with a photo of him and Nicola winning her prize of a website makeover on the cover. She’s starting to think about what she learned from the speakers and is contemplating running some more Be Everywhere Online challenges. Nicola recommends: a book called Content Hacking by Alexi Neocleous which was given to her at the conference, a slim volume she says. Judith has been taking a closer look at her Facebook Page stats and insights, all green arrows demonstrating results moving in an upward direction and that’s even before she’s started to focus properly on this.   Focus Of The Week Bearing in mind what Nicola said last week about her success in selling from the stage giving her cause to think about all the marketing she normally does, Judith brings the focus of the week and it is selling. How many ways are there to sell besides from the stage? Webinars, sales pages, email campaigns, product launch formulae, selling by appointment face to face, selling by cold calling or cold emailing, selling via relationship-building so that eventually you get to pitch, identifying ideal clients you do want to work with and building up a prospects list. But eventually you get in front of someone and have to ask for the business. Not many people relish that bit except J&N it seems. How did selling acquire a bad name? Is there any selling without marketing? Own It has discussed marketing a-plenty over the years, but what ways are there to go straight for the sale? Nicola recommends: Spin Selling by Neil Rackham and Predictable Revenue by Aaron Ross.   Words Of The Week Nicola chooses Re-Stocking and Judith picks (Inner) Knowing.   Project Updates Nicola has received her paid-for screenwriting critique and is pleased with it, and Judith wants to discuss paid-for newsletters as a business model as inspired by Justin Brooke, one of the first guests on Own It! The Summit.   Thanks for listening! I decided I wanted to improve on my conversion performance of two years ago, so I kept visualising the result I wanted (and I even got the exact number of application forms printed). And so it came to pass... Clicks And Leads is a "tongue in cheek" digital marketing Vzine by entrepreneur, author, podcaster, speaker, Nicola Cairncross. Well, welcome back to the Vzine. It's Nicola here, and I'm back in my brother's flat in Sydney. And you can see I'm a little bit hot actually. It's quite warm here and I'm back from the Gold Coast and it was even warmer there. I spent four days in a fabulous hotel, largely being thunder and lightening, not so much sunshine. It was a very humid four days. But, "How did the conference go", I hear you ask. Well, it was absolutely brilliant. We had four amazing days with some nearly 200 fantastic Amazon entrepreneurs. There was a cocktail party on the first night, then there was one full day of conference and lots of different speakers including Neil Asher who was putting the conference on, and then I was on first thing on Sunday morning. So I largely spent Saturday tinkering with my presentation. It was a good solid presentation two years ago, but I want to bring it right bang up to date, and also to put in some elements that had come to me when I was talking to people on the Friday night. So, I did that and then I got on stage at 9:15 on Sunday morning. People were already in the room because Neil had done a presentation at 8 o'clock which is incredibly early when you think about it, on a Sunday. And as I moved through the presentation I felt so confident and happy to be up there, because I'd met a lot of the audience already, it was really, really nice and friendly, everybody was laughing at my jokes, particularly the ones at Neil's expense. And at the end of it when I said to people, "If you'd like my help, just put your hand up and we'll make sure you get a form to come and join Clicks and Leads Academy, and work through the 'Be Everywhere Online' programme", everybody put their hands up, it was absolutely astonishing. So my goal was to do better than two years ago, when 25% of the room signed up to Clicks and Leads Academy, and this year 30% of the room, and the room was twice as big. It was just unreal. I'm on a high, I'm on a massive high, I cannot believe it. Lots and lots of lovely new clients, all of whom are serious business people, all of whom I'm convinced I can help to take their Amazon businesses to the next level, so I'm really excited about that. But let's get on with the show shall we, cause I've got quite a lot to tell you. Okay, so, what did I share on stage with the Amazon entrepreneurs? Well, we were driving home to them that you can't just rely on Amazon itself to bring you traffic. You have to find some external method of bringing traffic to your store once it's set up. And even better than that, if you can build a landing page to send that traffic to first, then you've not only got a reason for people to-- and you can actually give people discount vouchers as a reason to give you their name and email before they even get to your store. And the other important thing about having a landing page is that you can actually put pixels on it. You can put Google remarketing pixels, Facebook remarketing pixels, and Twitter remarketing pixels on that page.

When I booked a super early-bird ticket to SuperFastBusiness Live last year, little did I realise that not only would I manifest not just one, but two speaking gigs to cover my costs and more, but also the use of a luxury flat overlooking Sydney Harbour! But by working on myself hard, especially over Christmas and New Year, so it came to pass.... Clicks And Leads is a "tongue in cheek" digital marketing Vzine by entrepreneur, author, podcaster, speaker, Nicola Cairncross. On the blog Building An Amazon Business? Hi, it's Nicola here, and I am in Sydney, Australia, I've just arrived from England, and a very long flight it was too, but made more bearable by the fact I treated myself to some noise cancelling headphones, which cut out not only the sound of the babies screaming on the plane, but the sound of the engine, it made a huge difference, so I recommend those to you. So here I am in my brother's flat in Potts Point, and I've got the most amazing view, let me just show you out of the window, it's incredible. I'm off up to the Gold Coast tomorrow, to go and speak for Neil Asher, who's a very old friend of mine from England, and he's got an Australian wife, and he's got an Australian business, he's got lots of properties and businesses all around the world, but one of his main ones is the Aussie Online Entrepreneurs, and he teaches people how to make money on Amazon, so he's really, really good at it. So if you're looking to find out how to do that properly then go to NicolaCairncross.com/Asher and you will find a link to his website. But I'm going to be speaking to a room full of 200 Aussie Online Entrepreneurs, I did really well the last time I came, loads of people joined up for my Be Everywhere Online programme and I'm looking to beat my previous record, it was 25% of the room last time. This time it's double the room size, and I'm looking to do more than 25%, I want to welcome more than a quarter of those people in that room into my Be Everywhere Online programme. So let's see how I get on shall we? I want to tell you a bit about how I got here in the middle section. Okay well, in this section I want to tell you a little bit how I got to Sydney in the first place, it was a really, very spooky story, very funny story. Last year some time my mentor, James Schramko, has an event and he put the event tickets for sale, and they're very, very cheap if you buy immediately, so I did that, not knowing whether I'd want to come or not. Not knowing if I'd be ready to get out of Greece, and whether, you know, I was feeling in the mood to travel or anything yet. But I trusted that I would be by this time, because it's now three years since Steve died and I'm not, I miss him every day, but I'm feeling better on a day to day basis. So I bought my ticket anyway and within two days of buying my ticket my friend Neil contacted me and he said, "Do you want to come and speak for my Aussie Online Entrepreneurs again?" He said, "I'd love to have you, "I'm going to be going over there, and you can "stay in my Airbnb and all that business, "I'll make it as easy for you as I can." And so I looked at the dates and James' event is the 3rd and 4th of April, and Neil's event was the 16th and 17th of March. Well that is just phenomenally close, I couldn't believe how close they were, two or three weeks in between them. So I then thought, well okay, I can only do this if I don't have to stay in a hotel, because that would just be ridiculous, and I thought about an Airbnb, and then my brother popped up into my mind and I thought, well he came and stayed with me for five weeks back in Greece last year, so I'm sure he could put up with me for two or three weeks in betwe...

Hi, it's Nicola here and I have reached that part of the year where I have to record inside because the cicadas and the birds are very noisy outside at the moment. So, you can probably still hear the cicadas but I've turned the fan off. It's going around a little bit up there. Yeah, well, what I want to talk to you about this week, is about valuing yourself and also about how to charge when there's people in other countries that charge much less than you do. But, before that, I just wanted to quickly update you on what's been going on this week. I've been out this week to cook for some friends who had a fall together. They're a little bit elderly, and I went around last night to cook, and we watched a fantastic movie called My Cousin Vinny, which I've never seen before and it was really, really funny. Really well-written and set in the 80's, so the outfits are absolutely hilarious. Highly recommend that. My friends, Kim and Jeremy, they were staying in Stoupa last week, and I ended up having a one-hour session with Jeremy like a flash briefing, if you like, for MDs because he's the MD of a big company, and he always feels like he's on the back foot when it comes to internet marketing, when people sort of say things to him about what they should be doing or parent companies come in, and in fact pitch to him. So we had a one-hour session and I brought him up to speed on all things internet marketing, so hopefully he'll be able to hold his own a bit better. He said that he had no idea of the potential for Facebook ads, particularly for one of their consumer-facing brands, and he was very reassured that everything is trackable, and you can work out exactly how much you're spending, which ads are bringing in the prospects, which ads are bringing in the sales, so he loved all that, the data-driven element of it all. So, yeah, I'm thinking of doing that, so if you're an MD or business owner and you just wanted to hire me for an hour to talk about your business, and what your strategy could be, so that you, then, can go back and talk to your team or talk to people who are pitching digital marketing services, don't hesitate to get in touch because I really liked, enjoy talking to Jeremy about that. So just email nicola@nicolacairncross.com and we can set that up for you. Let's get on with the show shall we? So this week I wanted to talk to you about a conversation I had with Sarah, my sister, who is an extremely talented tech person. She is the person who makes sure that my Be Everywhere Online strategy is implemented across all the different platforms. She's the one I turn to if I want to find out how to do something new, like Alexa skills thing that we just put on Amazon. And we were having this conversation because she was listening to us recording the podcast, and we were talking about how you can still outsource to the Philippines or ...

Google’s CEO says over 20% of search enquiries are by voice now and we want to be found! Having podcasts will help but Amazon is a massive search engine where the inhabitants have buying intent. Own It! 184 | Am I A Copycat? Own It! 183 | Building A Community: Why, How And Where Prefer to read? Hi everyone it's Nicola here, and I just want to welcome you to the latest episode of the Vzine. There's been a lot happening this week. I've joined a poetry course, and I've written and read more poetry in one week than I have in my whole lifetime to date, it's great fun. And I'm finding that, what's the point of poetry? It's the point of capturing a small thought, or a moment in time, that perhaps doesn't need it's own story, but that you'd like to communicate about in some way. So I'm really enjoying that. Learning about the different forms of poetry. This week, I've stepped up my own 'Be Everywhere Online', social media efforts another notch. We've released the, 'Clicks And Leads 365', on Alexa Skills. It's a short daily informational tip, business tip. It will cover mindset, marketing, and money. And it's basically a one minute thought of the day. If you've got an Echo Dot, or any of those smart speakers, you can subscribe by going to clicksandleads365.com, and it should by then be pointing to the Alexa Skills platform. It's also on YouTube, so if you search Clicks And Leads 365, and then also on any podcast platform, because we are pushing it out across all our different platforms. And, I'm really enjoying making them, they're quite tough, just to condense your thoughts into one minute. But it's going quite well so far. And the reason we're doing this is because I listen to Gary Vaynerchuk on a regular basis. And he's talking about the future of Voice Search. Now Voice Search is when you just hold up your gadget and you say for example to Siri: "Find me a podcast about digital marketing." And the reason I'm doing the whole Alexa Skills thing, is because, a lot of the Voice Search, is done on the Amazon platform, through the Alexa medium. As opposed to Siri. And I want to be found there, I want to have a presence on there. I want to be found if someone searches through their smart speaker in their home. And I want them to be then led on to my website and to then choose whether to subscribe to the other podcasts, or the YouTube channel, or download the app. So, it's all about getting found in Voice Search. Now there's only about a thousands skills apparently, across the whole world, at the moment. Social Media Examiner's got some really great statistics on this. And apparently, one in every four or five Americans, have listened to a skill in the last three months, which is pretty astonishing when you think about it. And the whole thing about Voice Search, I mean people don't like to type. The amount of time it takes me to get my phone out. Finger code, whatever it is, my identity or whatever it is. Then go to Chrome, the browser, because it's not immediately on my desktop. And then type in my search, it takes a little while, doesn't it? Whereas if you could just click: "Siri, find me a podcast on digital marketing." Then it's going to be a lot quicker and it's a lot more convenient. Even people like me who are visual and who don't like auditory environments very much, I'm actually seriously thinking about getting one of these smart speakers for the house,

Nicola Cairncross is working on some brand new content to complement her ‘Be Everywhere Online’ training so keep an eye on your inbox! Before you can build a powerful brand you need to know who you are talking to, and what your personal superpower is, then afterwards you need to know how to look after all the new profits you will make. It's Nicola here, and it's not a very nice day in Greece. It's really warm but it's not very sunny. It has been sunny and it will be again. That's the one thing you can guarantee on here, the sun will eventually come out again. This week, I'm going to take a few moments of your time in the middle section to tell you about a brand new Masterclass I'm planning. It's going to have three sections in it. It's going to cover your business mind, your business marketing, and your business money coz those are the three things I'm most interested in. I've been teaching for the last six months how to be everywhere online and what I've realized is that people need a little bit before that. They need to have been able to make good business decisions about who they're aiming to serve and who their market is and then how best to reach them. So I realized that there was a bit missing. I've now uncovered the missing piece so I'm gonna be sharing that in my brand new Masterclass along with how to manage your money, honey, which has been an ever popular part of my trainings from the word dot. So check out the middle section. I'm gonna be covering it all in there and if you are an author, a coach, a speaker, a trainer, a consultant of some kind, or if you're just a small business owner who wants to learn how to be more successful, particularly marketing your business online, don't miss this. Check out the middle section and we'll see you at the Masterclass. So back in 2003, I bought a hotel and when after I set it up Emyth style, I went and moved on because someone else was running it for me. We came to live for a month in Greece and actually, we were just two doors down from where I'm living now. Now, that is a really spooky bit of manifesting, isn't it? The reason I was able to go away for a month at a time with my children and husband and I was able to live in different countries - we went to Greece then we lived three months in Spain - and the reason I'm able to live and work abroad now is because I follow the principles that I'm going to be teaching, a brand new Masterclass that I'll be sharing very soon. I'm gonna be covering three main topics in that Masterclass. I'm going to be covering how to set up a winning business strategy, not just one that gets you by but one that wins, how to play to your strengths, how to know which market to go into, and how to make really good business decisions and a great business plan. In the second part of the Masterclass, I'll be covering my 'Be Everywhere Online' strategy, how you absolutely must make a powerful brand online, how to dominate your social media above your competitors while only working about 20 to 40 minutes a week, how to outsource, how to build a team how to create compelling content that your listeners and viewers want to view and watch, how to be found in Google when people are searching for you, and that's all changing again soon so you need to know this one, and then how to manage your money.

Prefer to read? Hi everyone it's Nicola here and I want to welcome you to the VZine. And this week we've got some great results to report. The people who've been going through my "Be Everywhere Online" 30 Day Challenge are starting to get some great results. Yeah so they're on to videos two or three and one of the participants, Veronica, has, I think she's only done two videos and released them and leveraged them across everywhere that she wants to. But she has attracted a new client. A new £99 a month client. So that's pretty good. On an advertising spend of 11 pounds. So she used her money to boost her video content in the way that I've taught everyone, and attracted new clients so that's pretty cool. Another one, Bev Mead, who is talking to ladies of a certain age about how to be more impactful in their work relationships, and she has had her podcast picked up and featured by Radio Public as an "Indie Podcast to Watch". She really only has got just three episodes on that podcast so far, and it's just part of the process I teach people on how to take their content and get it everywhere. So, she's really thrilled about that, and it's really funny to see her reaction, because she didn't even know that had happened. So, I spotted it and took a screen grab for her. Loads of other people are attracting new leads, loads of other people are attracting new followers on their various platforms. So everybody that has actually taken action is getting great results. And that makes me really happy. The next 30 Day Challenge will be in a couple of weeks time, so if you want to make sure you don't miss that then come along to NicolaCairncross.com and opt in for one of our free gifts, or the "Be Everywhere Online" Presentation. And you'll get on to the mailing list, and you'll see the announcement when it goes out. I'm really looking forward to working with you. Let's get on with the show, shall we? Okay so in this little section I want to talk to you briefly about how to overcome adversities and how to keep focused and not get too confused about what you should be doing. It's been a real up and down week for me this week, last week Facebook ads decided to close my account because they suddenly decided I was promoting work at home opportunities like an MLM or a Get Rich Quick scheme. They didn't actually tell me that, and it took me a lot of e-mails and live chat conversations to find out exactly what it was that was the problem. I thought at first it was several things I was doing: my website, so for example saying "Be Everywhere Online in under 20 Minutes a Week", they don't like time bound claims apparently. There was lots of other things, I was giving away free e-books - apparently don't like free anymore they prefer you to sell a book, even if you're only just getting people to pay postage and packing, they like everything to be totally transparent. Well I'm totally transparently giving away free e-books, so I don't understand what the problem is. But anyway, I went through a whole long list of things and I finally turned to one of my paid communities and asked the advice of someone who is a mento...

Without an ad account to play with, Nicola Cairncross is inspired by Minesh Bhindi and James Schramko, both of whom produced inspiring Facebook Lives for their business this week, in different ways. Hi everyone it's Nicola here. Just wanted to say hello and welcome you to the vzine this week. I've got a particularly juicy topic for you in the middle section this week so I'm not going to bang on too much about what's been going on. Suffice to say we've had a Dave's Dining Club on Friday and the weather's been fantastic and we're off to an official Christmas lunch today in the middle of April which is gonna be very funny. Somebody, I think, somebody discovered they had a turkey in their freezer and it had to get eaten so we're all going around. I'm in charge of roast potatoes. So I'm looking forward to that 'cause I am starving. Let's get on with the show, shall we? I just wanted to go live today to test out the new straight to live from desktop functionality that Facebook seems to have acquired and I was alerted to this by watching my friend Minesh Bhindi doing some very, very good Facebook Live's from Colombia over the last week. He's got a launch coming up and he's been doing some Facebook Live straight to camera and I thought I'd run through what makes them so good because last night's was an absolute humdinger. It really was and I'm going to link to it in the first comment below so you can go and watch it. Now Minesh is a young chap. I met him when he was about 14. And he's done a bit of stage speaking but over the last year or so he's been quietly getting on with building his business Gold And Silver For Life into a training company that teaches people how not only to buy gold and silver wholesale but how to cash flow it as well so it's not just sitting there in some vault in Switzerland not earning you any money. He's got clients in 46 countries and he's got a lot of my clients as his clients because I sent them over to him. This is something I'm not temperamentally suited to do although if I was going to pay anyone to do it for me, it'd certainly be Minesh. And I know he does a great job and he looks after his clients and they get a great result. So let me run through some of the reasons why Minesh's Live yesterday was particularly good. And I don't know if he even knew he was doing it consciously. I don't think he planned it out. I think he just turned it on and started talking much like I have today. So let's try to deliver some value for you in the same way that he did yesterday. Now he did something along the lines of thirty reasons why the way most real estate investing is taught is now great. I can't remember the exact words he used but then he went on to list these 30 reasons but it was an interesting setup because he was on a balcony in a very beautiful apartment in Colombia. He's in South America at the moment, which is quite funny 'cause I thought he was in Canada, and as he was about to go live, it starting raining so he had this fantastic view in the background and then he had to move inside which was an interesting thing in itself because it really made you realize that he really is where he sa...

Hi everyone, it's Nicola here and it's a bit of a gray old day in Stoupa. Yes, shock horror, we do get gray days here too. Not so often nowadays. Yeah, just wanted to update you with what's going on, the 30-day challenge for "Be Everywhere Online" has started. We got about 70-odd people in there. And everybody's getting very animated and excited. They're on day two now, so basically I chunked the whole thing down into tiny steps every day. And hopefully, that's making people able to move through it. It's interesting how that works isn't it? I think my brain just naturally chunks things down so it's interesting how some people need a bit of help with that. But I'm happy to give it, and it's great fun to watch everybody moving through it. You may have noticed, I am wearing not black today. I've had a delivery of not black clothes, how exciting is that? And I think there's a few more to come yet. I've even got some colors. This is denim obviously. I've got jeans on as well. Don't die of shock. And it's really nice, it makes me feel a bit more normal. While it was good to not care about what I wore for a while, and while it was good just to throw anything on as long as it was black, I'm starting to get a little bit more interested in clothes again now. So that's making me feel good. What's not making me feel good this week is the Sahara sand, from Africa. Apparently every five years, they get a wind that comes straight off the Sahara, and it brings a lot of sand over. And it's very very fine, and I woke up a couple o' nights ago and I thought I had my friend Stella's lurgy. She came back from England with a coughing lurgy so I trotted off down the chemist yesterday afternoon and bought a bottle of cough mixture cause there's nothing I hate worse than being woken up at night by coughing you can't stop. And it turns out I'm not sick at all. I was expecting to get sicker and I didn't. I've just figured out that perhaps its the sand that's bugging me. So I'm a little bit chesty today. I used to get asthma but I haven't had it for years and years and years. A little bit chesty today but I feel fine in myself so fingers crossed. You know, I haven't been sick for so long, I was really not looking forward to it. So I'm very happy to have a reprieve. What else is news? We did our Write Club recording last week, we got seven episodes done. We did six, but one didn't record, can you imagine the pain of that? A one-hour podcast episode and you have to go back and do it all again. Luckily, we were able to do it although some of the jokes got left out, and some of the others didn't sound quite as good second time round. But we pressed through and we're very pleased that we've achieved it. So we're set now for the next six or seven podcast episodes. Let's get on with the show shall we? So this week I want to talk about the magic of you.

I can see the odd cat going past, and there's a few roosters having a go down the hill, but apart from that, it's no chainsaws, no dogs at the moment. So I'll try and get this v-zine out to you while the circumstances are favorable. So what's been happening this week? Well, I'm off to Write Club in a minute, and it's our Write Club Classic meeting, which means we actually talk about writing, and I have to confess, I haven't actually done any in the last month or so. The Write Club podcast is taking up all my writing time. Actually, business and the Write Club podcast has taken up all my writing time, so I've really got to get my finger out on this one, because I keep feeling that I've committed to writing a novel, but I'm not actually doing any writing. So I need to get that sorted out. I've been out to dinner last Friday, and then we went out, where'd we go on Saturday? I can't remember where we went Saturday. Oh, yes, to watch rugby at someone's house. I'm not into rugby, really, but I go because a FOMO. I don't like to be left out of these little gatherings. So catching up is the order of the day, and trying to get some novel writing done. I've just remembered, I've got a new client coming on board on Friday. This gentleman is a very well-established corporate performance leadership coach, and he wants to turn what he knows into digital products, and then he wants to attract a following and attract clients from making videos. Done a lot of stage speaking as well, so he should be really good in front of the camera. We also surprised all our existing clients on the Clicks & Leads Be Everywhere Online Done for You service by creating little ident videos at the end. I've got to credit Sarah for this. It was her that found the software, and they absolutely love them. It just rounds off a video nicely. We don't put them at the beginning, because you wanna get straight into your videos on YouTube and Facebook and LinkedIn, but at the end, it gives a nice little touch, and it shows the person's website, where people go to get more information. So, yeah, it's all rolling along nicely, and if you're someone who is a coach, consultant, or specialist of any kind, just go and check us out at clicksandleads.com to see if we could help you be everywhere online in under 20 minutes a week. Today, I'd like to talk to you a little bit about marketing versus sales, and I've been prompted to think about this this week because we are doing a lot of marketing, branding kind of marketing, for several clients under our Be Everywhere Online program. And it's an interesting one, because things are changing. You know, you can't just send cold traffic to an opt-in page and expect to get opt-ins at any reasonable price anymore, and you can't just then jump those opt-ins to a sales page and expect people to buy anymore. It's much, much, much easier and nicer and even less expensive to warm people up first,

Are you an introvert? You may be surprised to know I am, which is why I like videos and email marketing generally because, once done and uploaded online, they don't require me to be there 24/7/365. I also HATE talking on the telephone or even Skype, being a visual person. I don't do chit chat but I can do pre-scheduled meetings. The one thing I find makes a real difference to online sales is being available to answer quick questions via Live Chat on my website. You can install one of the many free versions on your site and also have an app on your mobile, so that, no matter where you are, you can answer potential clients and customers questions, right there on the spot when they are making the buying decision. This also fosters confidence that, once bought, your product or service will have some follow up support. This will be outsourced eventually but for now, just try it and you'll be amazed at how it boosts sales conversions. Nicola's searching for interesting backdrops while thinking about one of her favourite productivity hacks - how you can make yourself more effective in just 15 minutes a week. Clicks And Leads is a "tongue in cheek" digital marketing Vzine by entrepreneur, author, podcaster, speaker, Nicola Cairncross. You can also subscribe to the video podcast on iTunes. Some of the insights shared in this weeks Vzine What I want to talk to you about today is something I've noticed with all the new people coming into my Inner Circle membership site having bought the "Be Everywhere Online" course. The one thing that people need to know is how to get started so what I've had to do is create a set of "watch this first" / "read this next" videos - all in a little section for new members. I was thinking about how best to help people, how best to know what people are thinking, how best to know how they're making progress with the course and I've been doing quite a lot of research on how to make training courses very very good for the participants. Because if it's good for the participants, they will recommend the course. One of the things that I've noticed is that a lot of people need to be guided through content but not just guided they need to be encouraged to become accountable. Now whether that's become accountable to the person running the course or whether it's become accountable to themselves, doesn't seem to matter but it's not internal yet. That got me thinking about how I keep myself accountable to my goals and my long-term objectives, because it's instinctive for me now. One of the ways I do it (and it's a really simple success tool) is to just write myself a little note in my journal at the end of each week. I ask myself these questions: What have I achieved this week? What's been a challenge? What have I learnt? What needs to change? If you notice, that's all quite positive language so you see I'm not beating myself up about everything. I'm encouraging my Inner Circle members in my membership site now to write me a little note on a Friday afternoon or on Monday whichever it is, as long as it's the same day every week. I think that's a really good way of them letting me know what they've done, letting themselves know if they've not done anything, giving themselves space to think about what they want to achieve in the following week. I can keep track of how they're feeling, what they're thinking and what are the actions they're going to take? This is the way that I can stop them if they are going down the wrong path and stop them wasting money and stop them from wasting time because I've been there, I've been there for the last 20 odd years plus - 22 years actually that's Phoebe's 22nd birthday tomorrow and I've been online as long as she's been around! That's the way I'm going to encourage them to let me know what their next steps are and if they're going along on on the right rails so if you're watching this at home and you're thinking … "How can I keep myself accountable? How can I keep myself moving forward? How can I make sure I'm on the right track? How can I make sure I'm not falling behind or missing my goals? That is a really good way to do it. I had a really brilliant employer once called Benny Grey and he used to say to me "You can do anything you like during the week as long as you are around within about 30 minutes notice if I want to come down for a meeting. But one thing you mustn't do is go home on a Friday without writing me a little roundup of what you've done this week to achieve our goals and what you found challenging. Actually, he said, if you've got anything challenging pipe up straight away but that report writing was a good discipline for me just recapping what I'd achieved during the week why was to get done next week what was a challenge and how I was planning to overcome those challenges.
