On this episode, co-hosts Adanna Dill and Schnelle Acevedo chat with Eva Greene Wilson a wife, mother of 3, author of two children's books, illustrator, speaker, a graduate of Howard University School of Law, the owner and editor of the award-winning website SocaMom.com®, homeschooling advocate, and the founder of the SocaMom® Summit. While she was a full-time law student, she homeschooled her three children and continued to speak internationally, and write. Whether it was reading her law assignments before events while covering the Congressional Black Caucus Foundations Annual Legislative Conference, speaking at the National Council of Negro Women's Conference between classes, or studying for exams while on a work trip in the Caribbean, Eva has always found a way to make it work. As a blogger, Eva is known for creating videos for brands, having an engaged community, and being a trusted source for information on the Caribbean, blogging, parenting, and education. Since 2011, she has written about Caribbean American parenting, working on campaigns for companies such as Wal-Mart, AT&T, and Beaches Resorts. She won Best Parenting Blog and Best New Blog in the Black Weblog Awards, and she is a SheKnows/BlogHer Voices of the Year Honoree and presenter in the Long Form Video category. She later served as a judge for the awards. As the founder of the SocaMom® Summit, Eva brought together more than 70 speakers representing over 20 countries, at the height of the coronavirus pandemic to discuss issues that are important to the Caribbean diaspora. The event, held virtually in April and June of 2020, collectively provided the community with over 50 sessions totaling more than 30 hours of discussions, teaching, and entertainment for both children and adults. In this episode of the podcast, I speak with my dear friend and former colleague Marsha-Ann Brown. Many of you may know Marsha-Ann in her role as Director of Weddings and Romance at Sandals and Beaches Resorts. Marsha-Ann is also a Transformation Coach who empowers women to shift their mindset and activate their greatness. She has appeared on Good Morning America and Fox Business Live. I sat down with Marsha-Ann to talk about how Travel Professionals can empower themselves to show up in their businesses. I mean we all know that people do business with people who they like. So how do we catch someone's eyes? How do we find that empowerment internally and externally to show up publicly as ourselves and our businesses? Friends, you're going to want to do a couple of things: first and foremost, you're going to want to grab a pen and a notebook, and you are certainly going to want to save this episode to come back and listen to it again later. And in the process, you may want to share with a friend. You can find Marsha-Ann on Instagram at @marshaannb See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Sandals Resorts: How To Choose The Right One! Enter Valerie's Sandal's Resorts, Red Lane Spa Product, Give Away! Click Here. https://files.fireside.fm/file/fireside-uploads/images/0/037e01ef-c3bb-4048-9bb2-f57e8e9144e2/zWpEO-Ie.jpg (https://mailchi.mp/5f1f7dbbed09/red-lane-spa-giveaway) As you will be able to tell from this interview, Valerie Gossett, and I are BIG FANS of the Sandals family of properties. We also know that looking at the Sandals All-inclusive website can be overwhelming. What the casual viewer may not be able to tell is that Sandals Resorts were each built with a vacation style in mind. BUT, how can a person tell the difference between these Sandals Resorts? https://files.fireside.fm/file/fireside-uploads/images/0/037e01ef-c3bb-4048-9bb2-f57e8e9144e2/pO9TB5F-.jpg The simple answer is to ask someone who has been there herself! Valerie has been to every single Sandals Resort and more than once. That's 16 all-inclusive resorts in the Sandals family. She has also visited all of the Beaches Resorts. Beaches are the family oriented resorts in the Sandals family of properties. Is Valerie a Sandals/Beaches Resort junkie? Should we stage an intervention? Yes she is! There will be no intervention! Let’s join her! https://files.fireside.fm/file/fireside-uploads/images/0/037e01ef-c3bb-4048-9bb2-f57e8e9144e2/mVHtMNXS.jpg When Valerie suggested the topic of, "How to choose between the Sandals Resorts." or "Find the the right Sandals All-Inclusive Resort for you." I immediately agreed. I love talking about these resorts. They are perfectly built for two people in love. All activities, dining tables, nooks, crannies and hammocks are designed to perfectly fit couples. I recommend them for honeymooners and anniversary resort vacation seekers regularly. The reason is because that each Sandals resort property is though out so well. You simply get on the airplane, picked up by Sandals staff and you are on vacation! Everything else is covered (with rare exception). Many of my own friends, family and clients go to a Sandals or Beaches resort every year or every other year. https://files.fireside.fm/file/fireside-uploads/images/0/037e01ef-c3bb-4048-9bb2-f57e8e9144e2/68QdLz3-.jpg On today's episode we are hoping to get through two questions: How do couples choose a Sandals all-inclusive resort? There are too many options! Are all Sandals All-Inclusive Resorts the same? I think that we do a pretty good job talking through several brackets of Sandals Resorts properties. Valerie and I think that the Sandals Resorts can be broken into the categories of: Active traveler resorts with golf and scuba, Entertainment Intense, Relaxed/Spa, and the romantic resorts. We specifically name resorts in each category and go over why we think so. You will be able to tell we love Sandals Resorts! Lastly, Valerie is hosting a virtual Sandals Resorts tour event on July 2nd 7:30PM EST. Couples can interact and tour Sandals Resorts real time with Sandals resort staff on location. Couples wanting to participate should preregister by emailing Valerie directly. By preregistering you become eligible for the session bonus offered by Sandals Resorts as a thank you for attending. In the past this bonus has been $250 spa credits, excursion credits and more! Sandals All-Inclusive Resorts Topics Covered: ~ Island hopping between Sandals Resorts, Barbados to Grenada ~ Resort hopping specifically at Sandals Barbados and Royal Barbados ~ Destination Weddings: Getting married at a Beaches Resort Property then moving to a Sandals Resorts ~ Sandals romance resorts starting in St. Lucia at Regency LaToc. All-Inclusive Resorts in Jamaica - Which one to choose We spent 7 full days in Jamaica so we could stay, play, and dines at all of the Sandals and Beaches Resorts. If you are planning a wedding, honeymoon, on all-inclusive vacation we just toured them in Jamaica and are happy to help. In fact we have a full Sandals, Beaches, Rui, and Couples and Azul resort reviews. Sandals Resorts I want to first start with Sandals Resorts (couples). These resorts are for parties of two, no kids. If you have not been to an all-inclusive resort here is what comes with it. I like Sandals Resorts because the service and resorts are fantastic. I know what I am going to get and the resorts are consistent across all properties and islands. Some all-inclusive resorts are just spring break hang out with watered down free drinks, not Sandals. Sandals Resorts set the bar in my opinion for all-inclusive resorts. I'll speak to Sandals resorts mostly in this post as it has the most inclusions. All water sports except motorized water sports are included. If you want to sail, paddle board, go on the glass bottom boat, go snorkeling, take a tub ride, it's included. Drinks are included and they have top shelf liqror. wine, beer, specialty drinks, you are set. Tips - included. If you have a butler I would tip them, but all other tips are included. There is even scuba diving. Want to have free golf lessons for your kids? It's included at some Sandals properties. I literally bring some money to tip the drives and then my wallet goes in the safe and I don't touch it until I head home. All-Inclusive at Sandals and Beaches Resorts IS All-Inclusive. I like this because it helps me budget my vacations and I can eat, drink and do what I want. There are loads of Sandals Resorts in the Caribbean and we have been to most of them. There are three Beaches resorts and we have been to two of the three as of this post and will be at the third one later this year. For Sandals Jamaica I am putting together a quick bullet-ed list for you. This is what I recommend each Sandals Resort for. Please listen to the Sandals Podcast. On the podcast we cover each resort in detail. So load up the podcast on your mobile device and on the way to work or while exercising listen to our full Sandals and Beaches Resort show. Sandals Montego Bay - Fantastic for a quick get away as it's 5 minutes from the airport. Escape Winter and jump off your flight and be on the beach moments later. Sandals Royal Pacific - Looking for the romance of a private island or a bungalow over the water? Royal Caribbean has this and so much more. Sandals Inn - Want that all-inclusive vacation but on a lower price point. Sandals Inn has what you are looking for and you get a free shuttle to two other Sandals Resorts so you can play at all 3. Sandals Negril - Amazing honeymoon sunsets on the famous 7 mile beach. Sandals South Coast - Away from it all with the most private beach and surrounded by mountains. Beaches Resorts If you are looking for a family all-inclusive resort then I would recommend Beaches Resorts. The two Beaches resorts in Jamaica are very nice. If you are looking for a Beaches Resort at a value price point and also close to all the attractions like Dun River Falls, the Dolphin Encounter, etc. then Beaches Ochi Rios in Jamaica is a perfect fit. If you want the famous 7 mile beach then Beaches Negril is what I would recommend. Also Beaches Negril is 5 minutes away from Sandals Negril so this is nice for a wedding. The families can stay at Beaches Negril and the bride and groom can stay at Sandals Negril. Beaches Negril Resort. Photo by: Pixie Honeymoons Beaches All-Inclusive Resorts Review Beaches Resorts in Jamaica and Turks & Caicos Reviewed Beaches is an all-inclusive resort for families, groups, and couples. If you have been on a cruise, Beaches Resorts are like a cruise ship on land, with endless activities, food is included. Unlike a cruise vacation even drinks are included. If you want to teach your kids to golf, golf lessons are included too at Beaches Ocho Rios. WOW, that’s impressive! We were to Beaches Ocho Rios and Beaches Negril. Both Beaches Resorts are in Jamaica. We also cover Beaches in Turks & Caicos briefly on this show and will be traveling to Beaches Turks & Caicos in 2017 to give you a full review. Beaches Ocho Rios Resort Review Beaches Ocho Rios is in the heart of Jamaica. There are loads of other excursions and sites in Ocho Rios so if you are looking to explore outside the all-inclusive resort, you have lots of options. There are only 223 rooms at Beaches Ocho Rios and they are on 22 acres. We liked Beaches Ocho Rios but we had the advantage to visit all the Sandals and Beaches Resorts so of course we have our personal favorites. We liked Beaches Negril more because it’s on Jamaica’s famous seven mile beach and we liked the layout of Beaches Negril more. But this is just our personal preference and Beaches Ocho Rios has it’s own advantages. Again the location for Beaches Ocho Rios is great for excursions like the Dolphin Encounter and Dunn River Falls. Both are very close to the resort. Beaches Ocho Rios is 2 hours and 15 minutes from MBJ airport and there is a free Beaches Shuttle. Beaches Ocho Rios has a waterpark with 11 slides. A big advantage to Beaches Ocho Rios resort is the golf course. Greens fees, transfers and golf clinics for kids are included! That’s amazing! So if you love to golf and want to get your kids into golfing, what better way that a vacation to Jamaica with free golf lessons. Beaches Ocho Rios has 7 gourmet restaurants, VIK Kids Camp, an assortment of concierge suites and the new La Parisienne French restaurant is now open. Beaches Negril Review Beaches Negril is on the famous 7-mile beach in Jamaica and it is just 75 minutes from Jamaica’s MBJ airport on Beaches included transfers. The resort is a nice size with 186 rooms and the Beaches resort layout is very nice. The resort sits on the widest stretch of Jamaica’s 7 mile beach and has 9 gourmet restaurants. We loved the feel of Beaches Negril. Walking around the property puts you in a tropical paradise dotted with restaurants and outdoor seating, pools, cabanas and an amazing waterpark. The waterpark at Beaches Negril has 8 slides and a lazy river. We experienced the new Mariachi restraunt and also there is a new discovery dome with Sesame Street that immerses you in a 360 movie. The kids pool area even has mini lounge chairs! This resort is our top Beaches resort pic for Jamaica. Please listen to our podcast for the full review of Beaches Resorts. To book Beaches Resorts To book an all-inclusive vacation, honeymoon, or wedding, we recommend Pixie Honeymoons. You can read all-inclusive resort reviews, look at resort photo galleries, and work with a Pixie at Pixie Honeymoons to help you pick the perfect all-inclus...

Club MoBay Review When flying into Jamaica you can arrive the traditional way or get VIP treatment with Club MoBay. I was leery about paying for this service as I travel internationally all the time and have been in airport lounges in Australia, Paris, NY, etc. I was presently surprised by Club MoBay. Here is my Club Mobay review. Jamaica TIP: Club MoBay is your Fastpass into and out of Jamaica. It’s worth the price! When you arrive in Jamaica, we came into Montego Bay, the immigration process is lengthy and very time consuming. Also the customs process can have long lines. But our experience was excellent because we had signed up for Club MoBay. When you come off of your flight our Club MoBay representative was there with a sign waiting for us. She greeted us and welcomed us to Jamaica and we were off to Imaginations. What’s really nice about Club MoBay is that they have a VIP express line for immagrations. This is a separate line that had just two couples in line ahead of us. The standard immigration line into Jamaica was over an hour long and can go up to several hours long. We were past immigration in a matter of minutes using Club MoBay on the day we came in. Also our Club MoBay lady helped us get our bags and then pushed them to customs where again we had our own VIP Club MoBay line to by-pass the normal customs line in Jamaica. We then were taken to the private Club MoBay lounge which is a nice way to relax, check your emails on the free WIFI, have a drink and some sliders. Everything is free and included in your Club MoBay arrival service. We all enjoyed an early lunch and some drinks and caught up on emails and Facebook while waiting for our Sandals shuttle to arrive. The return home service using Club Mobay is just as nice and I also think work paying for. The lounge at the terminal at Montego Bay was the nicest lounge I have been in and I have been in some really nice airport lounges. Drinks, coffee, food, waiters, entertainment, etc is all included. It’s basically all-inclusive and I loved that. How to book Club Mobay: You can book Club Mobay for your arrival or arrival and departure. We liked both arrival and departure but if you want to save some money I would defiantly do it for arrival into Jamaica. There is also a Club MoBay in Kingston which also gets rave reviews. To book Club Mobay for your trip to Jamaica please contact Pixie Honeymoons. They have used the service personally and can book Club Mobay with your all-inclusive vacation package or any vacation you are planning to Jamaica. Sandals All-Inclusive Resorts Review After arriving in Jamaica we toured all the Sandals Resorts and Beaches Resorts. For this podcast we cover the Sandals All Inclusive resorts in Montego Bay in Jamaica. We have been to all the Sandals resorts in Jamaica and will do more Caribbean all inclusive Sandals podcasts with our tips and advice.
