If you've ever felt unnoticed, invisible or insignificant, then the news of the Samaritan woman that Jesus empowered, will give you all you need. People like her were thought outcasts and even inferior, but so were many who were attracted to Jesus anyway. Do you even feel the gratification of honor? Many don't. This episode is a glance at the true possibility that this Samaritan woman, disregarded as nothing, could have very well been the first evangelist - telling others of "the man who told me everything I've ever done." There is no "one size fits all" in the Kingdom. Praise God for the indivduality He gives us. www.sueduffield.com

Maybe you're like me and there are lots of people that love you.I'm following up last week's episode with the flipside of there being someone who doesn't like you and acknowledging that there are lots of people that LOVE you. If you're like me, sometimes you can focus on the negative, on the relationships that need to be fixed, or changed – focusing on what's wrong and ignoring the things that are so right. We all have the ability to show and receive love, acceptance and kindness. But feeling and trying to avoid rejection will have you causing more harm because you're on the defensive. Rejection hinders you from seeing the power you have. You're not always the victim- not always the excluded. Sometimes you're the excluder. Knowing you are loved helps you to show up differently. Knowing that no one person's rejection or critique of you can turn the opinions of every other person in your life against you empowers you to interact with others from a space of abundant love. ______________*Connect on Instagram*Grab a copy of my latest book: Secret Donuts: A Journey to Getting Over Your Weight, Aligned with God and into Your Purpose"In Secret Donuts, Alicia Watson takes us through her story of her obsession with losing weight, something she believed was a necessary step to carrying out her purpose, when in fact her compulsive need to do so was the hindrance."*Maybe you're like me and you need something tangible to navigate life's tough seasons. Maybe you're like me and there's someone who doesn't like you.And that's okay! You will have haters. You will face opposition. You will get attacked. Especially as a servant of the Lord. But, as a servant of the Lord, you can trust that God will protect you from the weapons of your earthly enemies and the enemy of your soul. And not only will he protect you, he will prosper you right in their faces. Isaiah 54:17 in the NLT reads:"But in that coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord; their vindication will come from me. I, the Lord, have spoken!"In this week's episode, I want to encourage you if you're feeling the sting of rejection. Don't be afraid of disappointing and upsetting other people. Let your intentions be to be kind to them from a space of empowerment from God and not as a form of self-protection. The former earns a reward from God while allowing him to protect you. Proverbs 25: 21-22 says, " If your enemies are hungry, give them food to eat. If they are thirsty, give them water to drink. You will heap burning coals of shame on their heads, and the Lord will reward you."______________*Connect on Instagram*Grab a copy of my latest book: Secret Donuts: A Journey to Getting Over Your Weight, Aligned with God and into Your Purpose"In Secret Donuts, Alicia Watson takes us through her story of her obsession with losing weight, something she believed was a necessary step to carrying out her purpose, when in fact her compulsive need to do so was the hindrance."*Maybe you're like me and you need something tangible to navigate life's tough seasons. Being Like Jesus means believing the same things Jesus believes about the Bible. So, what does Jesus believe about the Bible and how can I follow His powerful example with a habitual use of Scripture in my life?
Part 2 of Being Like Jesus series
Pastor Jason started a new series this morning. Being Like Jesus
James: Practical Faith for Tough TimesHearing Jesus, Seeing Jesus, and Being like JesusMy dear brothers and sisters, understand this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger, for human anger does not accomplish God's righteousness. Therefore, ridding yourselves of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent, humbly receive the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.—James 1:19-21Hearing JesusWhen this pandemic hit how quick were you to lisen to what the Lord was saying?PrayRead His WordSeek WisdomBut be doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. Because if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like someone looking at his own face[f] in a mirror. For he looks at himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of person he was. But the one who looks intently into the perfect law of freedom and perseveres in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer who works—this person will be blessed in what he does.—James 1:22-25Seeing JesusWhat good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but does not have works? Can such faith save him?If a brother or sister is without clothes and lacks daily food and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, stay warm, and be well fed,” but you don't give them what the body needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way faith, if it does not have works, is dead by itself.—James 2:14-17Being Like Jesus“If a brother is hungry, he doesn't need a sermon. He needs a ham sandwich.”—Dr. Tony EvansGo therefore and make disciples of all the nations [help the people to learn of Me, believe in Me, and obey My words], baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.—Matthew 28:19
Presented at Curwensville Alliance on 5/19/2019 by Pastor Bernie Knefley Bernie’s first sermon in his series, Being Like Jesus. Thanks, Pastor Bernie, for filling in for Pastor Steve while he was on vacation.

We cannot be like Jesus unless we eat like Jesus.
Being Like Jesus is much tougher than you would first think. Roger explores 3 areas that stop us from being like Jesus. They are being critical, cynical and offended. Just as Jesus was "All in!" And he being our example so should we be "All in", Speaking life into every situation, having faith and being quick to forgive. - A message by Roger Tedder Connect with us Website : www.hillside.org.za Instagram : www.instagram.com/wearehillside Facebook : www.facebook.com/wearehillside Email : info@hillside.org.za
Christ being formed in us, us being like Jesus, is the goal of the Life of Faith.
We all have a next step to take — whether you've followed Jesus for years or just met Him. If someone has just decided to follow Jesus, his/her next step is to tell the world by sharing their story and getting baptized...we call it "wearing the Jesus jersey!" Maybe you'd like to use your skills and join a Serve Team. Maybe you want to grow in a smaller setting and connect with others like you in a Community Group. Whatever your next step is, many of us are asking the question, "What's next?" We explore what it means to take a next step and discover what that step is over the course of this series.Support the show (http://www.momentumchurch.org/give)

When it comes to your life, do you really just want to have a nice time? No adventure, no risks, no rescues, nothing to write home about? And what about you personally or your children? Do you really want them to be nice all the time? In this message, Max Vanderpool tackles the myth of Christian niceness and offers a compelling alternative - Jesus, who clearly was NOT a nice guy.
