Supercross Rider Benny Bloss made his debut into the 2022 Supercross series Saturday night. He'd been out recovering from a pre-season crash that damaged his collarbone. Bloss said there seems to be more accidents this year as the speeds pick up on the track. He said the slower more technical tracks produce fewer crashes and injured riders. Listen...
Supercross Rider Josh HIll was in retirement testing an all-new electric motorcycle when he got a call from a friend the day before Christmas. There was good news and bad on the call. First a fellow rider was hurt in a bad testing crash just a couple days before. The good? Team Tedder/Monster Energy/Lucas Oil/KTM Racing wanted Hill, a native of Yoncalla, Oregon, to be a fill-in rider for Benny Bloss. HIll says it'll take a couple events to get up to speed again. There was the news that he would not be offered a contract extension by Rocky Mountain ATV-MC/WPS/KTM for 2020, a last hurrah with the team at the 2019 Monster Energy Cup in October, lots of phone calls to put secure a ride for 2020, an offseason race in Spain, and now confirmation that he will take on the full Monster Energy Supercross Series and Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship in the 450 class with support from Rock River Yamaha. Bloss had had some stand-out rides this season with mostly top-ten finishes. At last weekend’s event in Red Bud he went scored a 3rd the first moto but ended up 23rd the second moto for 11th overall. He sits 7th in points. The series resumes July 21 at the Spring Creek National in Millville, MN.
