Jason was kind of go-to coverage reporter for Bellator and did a lot of interviews with Bjorn over that time. I always thought he did great work but wasn't necessarily as recognized for what he was doing as some of the more notable media in the industry. In this interview we talk about how he got into covering Combat Sports, his introduction to Bellator, his website MMAREPORT.COM and his podcast of the same name. We then get into discussions of past UFC events and the Fury vs Wilder fights. Why would Conor be applying for a boxing license now? Is it all a publicity stunt? Cyborg continuing to prod and publicly taunt Rousey. Cyborg talks about Rousey getting an unannounced drug test. Is Ronda Rousey going to fight long enough to even have a chance to fight Cyborg? MMAAA is not a union, it’s a …. ???? Bjorn Rebney is in charge of it, or the face of it? We discuss this and much more on the top UFC podcasts at MMA Fancast Are Joe Rogan and Mike Goldberg on their way out due to “cost-cutting” efforts by WME-IMG? We hope on at the top UFC podcasts Demetrius Johnson vs Tim Elliott ….. Elliott says Conor has no heart ….. at press conference, he stood with his hands in his pockets and stared down at the floor Dana White on stripping McGregor of his Featherweight belt … “Look, I let Conor fight [Nate] Diaz and then I let him fight Diaz again. Then there was the whole 155-pound thing I let him do. But at the end of the day, him doing that tied up the division for a year. There’s a logjam there and a lot of guys were [angry]. This was my way to fix the logjam. I wanted Aldo to fight Holloway for the belt, but he needed more time. So I looked at it and I said, well, it makes sense to make Aldo the champion and then have Holloway and Pettis fight for the interim title, and when Jose’s ready, barring any crazy injuries, the winner can fight him. [Conor’s coach is] misinformed. Yeah, he doesn’t know all that has gone on, I guess. Do you think I just did this? This was Conor’s decision.” ……. Dana stands by the story that Conor relinquished the belt. Jon Jones make proclamation that he used to get black-out drunk one week prior to his fights so that he had a built in excuse in case he ever lost. UFC 208, originally scheduled in California, got cancelled and what was supposed to be UFC 209 in Brooklyn now becomes UFC 208.

UFC 174: Johnson vs. Bagautinov is in the books and while it wasn't the most exciting event that the UFC has put on over the last couple of months, we have a lot to discuss coming out of it in regards to the Flyweight, Welterweight and Light Heavyweight divisions. Then we spend a much longer amount of time than usual talking about Bellator due to the removal of Bjorn Rebney as CEO, the addition of former Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker, their updated matchmaking policies, and the (as of now) rumored addition of Kimbo Slice. Listen to us Wednesday nights at 6:30pm on CFMU 93.3 FM, and online at http://www.thehammermma.com, Last Word On Sports; The Itunes Store, find@SteveJeffery on Twitter, orjust email us.

Matt Brown saved us all from what felt like the longest UFC card in history on Saturday night, and the Co-Main Event Podcast is grateful because of it. On episode 103, Ben and Chad talk about Brown's comeback victory over Erick Silva, which was pretty rad by almost any measure. They also discuss Eddie Alvarez's concussion and the crumbling of this weekend's Bellator pay-per-view. Like a couple of Red Priests trying to read the future in the fire, they attempt to figure out just where in the hell Bjorn Rebney and his wacky band of Cirque du Soleil performers can go from here. All that, plys AYFKM and Just Sayin' Stuff.
