Calvin Lin is the coach for the University of Texas at Austin men's ultimate team TUFF. He has been the coach for TUFF since 1996 leading the program to College Nationals 13 times, finishing 3rd in 2009 and 5th a total of seven times. TUFF has won their region 9 times and Calvin has been named South-Central Region Coach of the Year twice and South Region Coach of the Year once. Along with coaching, Calvin played for the first Seattle Sockeye team as well as the Houston Houndz and Austin Doublewide. He has won 2 USA Ultimate Master's Championships, 1 Great Grandmasters Championship, and one World Ultimate Club Championship. In this interview, Calvin shares about his early playing days playing with the team in Seattle that would eventually become Sockeye and his experience on the first Austin Doublewide team.
