"A movement driven by prosperity preachers, extremist politicians, and right-wing power brokers laid the groundwork for Trump's presidency and is now advancing its agenda under his second administration. This multipronged effort against our national institutions is being led by millennial “kingmaker” Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA and the new face of Christian Nationalism."That's the book pitch for "Seven Mountains Mandate: Exposing the Dangerous Plan to Christianize America and Destroy Democracy," by Dr. Matthew Boedy, professor of English and rhetoric at the University of North Georgia. This isn't new ground for this show, but it brings into focus the role of Turning Points USA (TPUSA) and its assassinated leader, Charlie Kirk in this 'anything-but-Christian,' white nationalist movement that's been slowly, steadily working its way towards usurping democracy to maintain control by a white evangelical minority even if it means using an unholy man in Donald Trump to achieve their goals. He and I discuss his book along with his own occupational and personal safety in a right wing "cancel culture" fervor. Then, a local progressive minister, Cody Deese, touched on 'Christian nationalism' and its flock either being ignorant or "in line," mentally, with the likes of TPUSA's fallen leader and his intentionally hurtful statements. Deese, saying, Now you start to see the exterior being a mirror to the interior."

Supreme Court looking into birthright citizenship. This might not be ruled on until June, which is gonna be here before you know it exactly. But all of these Democrats, they're if you wanna find out what a constitutional amendment really means, the best way to do that is go and look at the at what the people that wrote it said about it. In this case, it's senator Jacob Howard. He was one of the people that authored the fourteenth amendment back in 1866. And this is one of those topics that everybody on the left that they love, oh, we go we're gonna change hundreds of years of law and blah blah blah blah blah. But we're not. What has actually happened was the Democrats have used the fourteenth amendment incorrectly for this amount of time. When you go back and you ex look exactly what Jacob Howard said about the fourteenth amendment, I don't think he stuttered on this thing. Not at all. Let's go right now to Deese, Kalen. He is with the, Washington Examiner. Deese Kalen Deese, Kalen, how are you? Hi. Thanks for having me on. Great to be with you. Alright. So all of this really goes back to senator Jacob Howard, one of the authors of the fourteenth amendment. What do you think the Supreme Court really wants to hear about during these arguments? So the Supreme Court today was very much interested in hearing more about the arguments of bringing, more of a, regulation to nationwide injunctions rather than the fourteenth amendment itself. Mhmm. And I think that that was sort of the issue today is that it was a very double barreled, court case. There was that temptation to talk about the origins of the fourteenth amendment and whether it confers the right to birthright citizenship. But at the same time, that wasn't really the task at hand. And I think that that was something that made, for more confusion as to what the justices are ultimately gonna decide with this case whenever they issue a ruling perhaps in the next couple of weeks. And I think that from what we gathered today, there was definitely more, I would say, Democratic appointed justices that were interested in talking about the actual birthright, executive order that president Trump has put in place. And and and if and if you're listening to their words intently enough, then you might come away from it thinking, well, this executive order seems to maybe have a pretty steep chance of passing their muster. But I would also put the caveat where the Republican appointed justices were not really entertaining any parts of the merits of that executive order. So it kind of created a, an unfair, you know, balance where it seemed like there was more negative attention going toward the executive order whenever that wasn't even the issue that they had to deal with before them. Now I know Ketanji Brown Jackson. She said was she was in favor of these lower courts issuing their orders because that way, the administration would have to go to the Supreme Court quicker. Yeah. It seemed like that that was sort of the idea that the Supreme Court could handle this, in the way that that from from her perspective that the Supreme Court could continue to handle these cases in the way that things are going. But, obviously, we saw that with this case, it became a special oral argument session, in the May, which you know, are they going to do that for every single controversial, you know, alleged controversial executive order that is going to, you know, get stalled by a lower court judge? I mean, the fact of the matter is is that one of the things that was brought up and, rightfully noted is that, you know, nationwide injunctions really weren't popularized until the nineteen sixties, the 1963 case at the DC, circuit court. So I think that, you know, we've seen a steady pattern even in administrations before Trump where lower court judges have progressively begun to, you know, take, you know, stiff aim at the powers of, of of executive authority. The United States is grappling with two of the biggest challenges it has ever faced: the rise of China and the threat of catastrophic climate change. At home, the Biden administration has forged a green industrial policy that could transform the U.S. economy. But as China threatens to dominate the global market for clean energy, it is not enough to invest domestically, Brian Deese argues in a new Foreign Affairs essay. Deese has been at the center of climate and economic policymaking for over a decade. He served as the director of the National Economic Council in the Biden administration, where he was one of the key architects behind the Inflation Reduction Act. During the Obama years, he helped lead the auto bailout and negotiate the Paris agreement on climate change. Now, he has a plan for the United States to lead the global energy transition on its own terms.

If you live in the Red Hills of Southwest Georgia, you probably know Russell Deese. If you don't know him, you've probably seen his restored military vehicles around town. Ironically, Russell restores old vehicles that most people would leave in the junkyard. His wife brings new life to stray dogs that are often dumped at trash heaps. Russell and his wife see the value in lives that are left for dead by others. Although Russell's business keeps him busy, his focus is on God's kingdom. We need more men who are willing to humble themselves and follow wherever God leads like Russell does.https://www.generationjeep.net/https://www.revealedpodcast.orgCustom sound & website design by our Helluva engineer, William HamilSound & film editing by Grayson DurhamLogo design by Cassie DurhamSocial Media Consultation by Maddie Rome
How do you speak the truth within family and close relationships? SHOULD you speak the truth? Explore this topic with Author Nicole Deese and your host, Jaime Jo Wright as they chat about Nicole's recent release "The Roads We Follow".
Nicole Deese is one of those people I would love to hang out with. Our two extroverted selves would have too much fun catching up on all things life and writing. Until we can actually do that, recording Book Talk episodes is a fun way to connect and welcome you into the fun. Today's chapter of Book Talk is a delightful way to let you experience all the joy and delight that is Nicole Deese. Nicole's latest novel, The Roads We Follow, is a contemporary romance with a cross-country flair. We talked about everything from when to share the truth to how hilarious it is that someone so bad at directions was plotting a road trip book. We also talked about how it's a gift to our writing selves to give our author selves an outline to the midpoint so that we can write fast. She shares so much wonderful wisdom as she pulls back the curtain on writing, that I had a hard time stopping the episode. This episode will fly by and you'll walk away encouraged to focus on the things and people who fill your cup so you can show up refreshed and ready to do the work in front of you. I can't wait to hear what you think of today's episode of Book Talk. Connect with Nicole Deese Facebook | Instagram | Pinterest | Twitter

Join Flood and returning guest Aaron Deese to talk about his journey as an author and his new book, Hunting Grounds: Dogmen of the Lakes from Small Town Monsters Publishing! From the Press Release: Hunting Grounds: Dogmen of The Lakes examines strange canines in Tennessee and Kentucky. Chilling new book explores the truth behind the Massacre of the Land Between the Lakes. Massillon, OH - A new book takes a deep dive into the strange and unsolved phenomena of the Land Between the Lakes. In Aaron Deese's follow up to The Texas Dogman Triangle, new light is shed on a decades-old tale. The Land Between the Lakes is the largest inland peninsula in the United States. Situated on the Tennessee/Kentucky border, the national recreational area is home to over 170,000 acres, and is a prime location for campers, hikers and outdoor enthusiasts. It has been since the 1960s, when the federal government displaced thousands of American citizens from what was then known as the Land Between the Rivers. It is also the home of endless campfire stories, whispered rumors and urban legends. Rumblings of hauntings, mysterious deaths and even Bigfoot sightings abound in the Land Between the Lakes. Another creature - one far darker and more dangerous than the rest - is also said to haunt the shadowed forests and intertwining gulleys. Since the 1980s a frightening saga has circulated by word of mouth, of a horrific massacre at the claws and teeth of what is often described as a werewolf. Or, as some call them, Dogman. Aaron Deese is joined by Shannon LeGro on a literal trip into the wolf's den to interview witnesses and researchers - including a man who claims to have witnessed the massacre. Deese and LeGro put boots on the ground in the LBL and visit the location of the massacre first hand, all while attempting to uncover the truth behind this strange and disturbing tale. Featuring interviews not previously available elsewhere and commentary by a battery of researchers, Hunting Grounds: Dogmen of The Lakes examines the “Massacre of the Land Between the Lakes” like never before, while tracing the history and legacy of the werewolf from its ancient roots to modern day sightings around the world. Hunting Grounds is a companion to the forthcoming documentary Dogman Territory: Werewolves in the Land Between the Lakes, slated for release in 2024. Author: Aaron is a San Antonio, Texas based author and content producer with Small Town Monsters. When he's not chasing werewolves he enjoys books, cartoons, video games, podcasting and nunchucks. Aaron lives with his wife Sara (with whom he hosts the podcast Hey Strangeness) and son Ezra along with way too many cats near the Alamo. # # # Hunting Grounds: Dogmen of The Lakes by Aaron Deese; Small Town Monsters Publishing; Nonfiction; Adventure /History/Folklore/ Cryptozoology/Paranormal; paperback and digital formats; Availability: Amazon.com and smalltownmonsters.com Preorder April 9th, 2024 on amazon and smalltownmonsters.com , release date April 23rd, 2024 on amazon and smalltownmonsters.com AARON DEESE https://www.heystrangeness.com/ SMALL TOWN MONSTERS https://www.smalltownmonsters.com/ https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/minervamonster/small-town-monsters-bigfoot-ufos-dogman-and-goatman EX V PLANIS https://www.exvplanis.com https://linktr.ee/Exvplanis https://foldsandfloods.bandcamp.com GNOOOOOOMES!!!! https://drive.google.com/file/d/195HxoExR94QYOsizgPmJNnWqgE1AuuRi/view?usp=sharing

Darkness Radio presents The Texas Dogman Triangle, Texas Terror Dogs & Other Monsters with Paranormal Researcher/Author, Aaron Deese! Texas is a vast land of history and legend. For centuries the state has been saturated in folklore and mythology, and contains its fair share of ghosts, UFOs, conspiracies and buried treasure. It is also the home of monsters. For over 100 years Texas has played host to encounters with upright walking canines - werewolves, or as they are now often called, Dogmen. In 2021 a pattern seemed to emerge, giving rise to what some now call the Texas Dogman Triangle. Are these creatures real, or imaginative hysteria? Urban legend, or unidentified animal? Biological anomalies or spectral horrors beyond our comprehension? That depends on who you ask. Welcome to the Lone Star State. Welcome to the Texas Dogman Triangle. On today's show, Aaron Deese joins us to talk about the incredible creatures that exists in this amazing area of the southern U.S., and splits some fine hairs on some of the actual phenomena taking place in the area! Chupacabra is back in the news with the recent Netflix movie, CHUPA. There are various depictions of this misunderstood cryptid within folklore and pop culture. The initial sightings described it as a demonoid blood feeder or sucker with red eyes and leather wings. It would fly and attack chickens and feed on the blood of goats. Some regard it as a swamp creature that looks like a wild dog. The Latino version of the Chupacabra appears to be more like a Skinwalker or Dogman. Perhaps this mythological creature is the "demon of the abyss" that has been spoken of for centuries. Tonight on Ground Zero, Clyde Lewis talks with cryptid researcher, Aaron Deese about CHUPA DUPA. #GroundZero #ClydeLewis #Chupacabra #Cryptid https://groundzeromedia.org/4-27-23-chupa-dupa-w-aaron.../ Ground Zero with Clyde Lewis is live M-F from 7-10pm, pacific time, and streamed for free at groundzero.radio and talkstreamlive.com.
