“I'm seeing crime, chaos, and death on the streets of America. ... The homeless are being used. And Antifa, the far left activists, they want to keep the tent encampments on America's streets to show that capitalism isn't working,” said Jonathan Choe, a reporter for Turning Point USA's Frontlines and a senior journalism fellow at the Discovery Institute.At Turning Point USA's AmFest conference, I sat down with Choe to discuss his investigations into Antifa and the homelessness epidemic in America.While some nonprofits are really helping people, Choe said, he believes a sizable portion of the sector has become a multi-billion-dollar “cash cow” of grift and counterproductive aid.“For years now, the so-called experts of the medical community—instead of getting people into treatment and recovery—have been giving away free meth pipes, fentanyl foil,” he said.In 2025, he and several of his colleagues worked on a joint study by the Capital Research Center and the Discovery Institute that revealed a notable intersection between Antifa and the homelessness nonprofit space, he said.Antifa members have embedded in the homelessness nonprofit sector and many of them have day jobs in the space, he said.“A lot of [Antifa's] ideas to bring communism, Marxism, to destabilize America, to usher in a brand new communist revolution that's part of the homeless industrial complex now,” he said.In October 2025, Choe and other journalists, including Andy Ngo, participated in a White House roundtable to share their knowledge about Antifa with President Donald Trump.A month earlier, Trump had signed an executive order designating Antifa as a domestic terrorist organization. Just days before Christmas, Vivek Ramaswamy once again chose the holiday season to denigrate America, its culture, and its people, repeating his execrable performance of December 26, 2024.  This time, however, Vivek denigrated America, its culture, and its people not in a lengthy X post, but in a lengthy speech at AmericaFest, a purportedly conservative political event put on by Turning Point USA, the organization established by the recently assassinated Charlie Kirk. The message Vivek sent to America and Americans? There's nothing exceptional about being an American, literally anybody can do it, including billions of third-worlders, and America should simply accept that any recent third-world arrival onto America's shores who mouths a few American ideals is as entitled to the legacy and resources of America as is any other American citizen—at the cost, of course, of those scarce resources now no longer being available to those other American citizens. The argument conflates the notions of technical or paperwork American citizen, on the one hand, and cultural American citizen, on the other, conflates the abilities and interests of third-world versus first-world cultures, and cheapens the deeply-loved notion of American as something exceptional and precious that was founded and built and sustained by the blood and sacrifice of generations of American forbears, rather than by billions of foreign nationals. I, for one, object to Vivek's cheapening of America, its culture, and its people, I object to culturally Indian Vivek Ramaswamy seeking to govern over culturally American citizens, and I object to the infestation of America by tens of millions of third-worlders, including far too many millions of purportedly “legal” Indians.

Democrats in the U.S. House may be joined by some Republicans to impeach Pam Bondi over the Epstein files debacle, even as Bondi continues to fail in efforts to indict New York AG Leticia James. In Michigan, state House Republicans are mulling over an attempt to impeach Attorney General Dana Nessel, something that would be totally symbolic but make MAGA Republicans feel good. The MAGA movement may need to get some couples therapy after an unhinged verbal brawl at the Turning Point USA weekend conference. The next key political battle in Michigan: a special election for the state Senate. The primary for replacing now-Congresswoman Kristen McDonald Rivet is set for February 3 … a swing district that will determine control of the state Senate for 2026.
