Send us your feedback — we're listeningThe headlines shout, the streets churn, and our attention splinters. So tonight we slow down and pick up a sword that never dulls — the Word of God from Ephesians chapter 6.Together we name the real fight behind the fear, doubt, and despair so many feel. This isn't politics, trends, or busyness — it's spiritual. That's why we walk through the armour of God piece by piece and show how each part protects your life: truth to steady your thoughts, righteousness to guard your heart, readiness to keep you moving, faith to quench lies, salvation to anchor your future, and the Word of God to cut through confusion.Rather than hype, we model a simple method: take a verse like “Be strong in the Lord,” pray it aloud, personalise it, and keep returning to it until it reshapes your inner weather. We also get honest about church culture, performance, and the noise that often replaces presence. Worship isn't a stage; it's Spirit and truth. Sound doctrine isn't trivia; it's medicine for anxious minds. Identity in Christ breaks people-pleasing and frees you from the grip of headlines and social feeds. We share communion, practise Scripture-led prayer, and call listeners to surrender control for true freedom with the Holy Spirit. If you've felt overwhelmed, numb, or stuck, this conversation offers a clear path back to peace: root yourself in the Word, pray it line by line, and dress for the day with God's armour.

Send us your feedback — we're listeningA stirring prayer opens the service—and then the floor drops: it was generated by AI. That reveal sets our course—past the seduction of polished voices and into the substance of real faith. We talk frankly about the rise of AI pastors and why impressive language without the Spirit leaves the soul underfed. Then we reach for what endures: a paperback Bible in your hands, Isaiah 40:31 in your heart, and the courage to hope in God when every door seems shut. From there, we step into Joshua 2 and the scarlet cord in Rahab's window. Two spies, no exit, a city on alert—and God makes a way that isn't a door at all. That cord signals certain hope: salvation, protection, and covenant woven together. The point is practical and personal. God often leads us through unconventional paths and unlikely allies, not to confuse us but to grow our trust. When the culture feels loud, the feed addictive, and your thoughts crowded, this story reframes escape. Windows appear where walls once stood. We also name the terrain many walk now: enemy territory that looks like anxiety, distraction, or spiritual numbness. Samson's drift and the prodigal's return remind us how easy it is to linger too long—and how urgent it is to come home. The Red Sea moment sharpens the lesson: God can be quiet just before He moves. He lets the chariots draw close so the miracle is clear, and the way through becomes a testimony you will never forget. In communion we hold bread and cup as our sign: Christ is the true access, the window no gate can bar. If you're hungry for discernment, hope with backbone, and a faith that resists spectacle, this conversation will steady your steps.Where do you need God to show you the window?Biblical FoundationIsaiah 40:31 (NIV) – “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength…”Joshua 2:18 (NIV) – “Tie this scarlet cord in the window…” Both verses reveal that faith isn't passive—it's a cord of hope tied to God's promise, holding firm when doors close.Episode HighlightsAI voices vs. anointed voices — what truly carries the SpiritIsaiah 40:31 and the Hebrew qavah — hope as strength twisted with GodRahab's scarlet cord (tikvah) — visible hope and divine protectionHow windows of escape appear when faith replaces fearCoSupport the showFor more inspiring content, visit RBChristianRadio.net — your home for daily devotionals, global prayer, and biblical encouragement for every season of life. True humility is not thinking less of ourselves, but seeing ourselves rightly before God. In Luke 18:9–14, Jesus contrasts a proud Pharisee and a humble tax collector to reveal that only the broken and repentant heart receives grace. Pride compares and separates, but humility confesses and connects.Support the show

In this powerful message, Reverend Ben Cooper opens Psalm 34 to confront the tension of modern faith: anxiety, exhaustion, and spiritual hunger in a culture addicted to noise. We explore why being in church cannot replace being in Christ, why praise is a weapon in weary seasons, and how to strengthen yourself in the Lord like David—so you can pursue, overtake, and recover what's been stolen. This episode names the “lesser voices” for what they are—the serpent's whisper dressed in culture, politics, platforms, and performance. Reverend Ben Cooper speaks candidly about spiritual abuse, religious manipulation, and the urgent need for authentic shepherds who lead us back to the cross.Through honest teaching and communion, you'll learn how to audit your circle, guard your mind, and re-centre your life around prayer and Scripture. Send us your feedback — we're listeningRecorded in London, England, Reverend Ben Cooper brings two timeless passages—Psalm 34 and Matthew 6:9–13—into one life-changing reflection. This message begins in worship and ends in prayer, reminding every listener that praise opens the door and prayer keeps it open.Ben leads us through the heart of David's cry: “I sought the Lord, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears.” Then he connects it with the words of Jesus: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name.” Together, these passages form a spiritual rhythm—gratitude, surrender, and dependence.Through this devotional, you will rediscover that prayer is not a performance, but a lifeline; not a ritual, but a relationship. God hears every whisper and walks with those who seek Him in honesty and faith.Biblical Foundation:Psalm 34:1–4, 8 (NIV) “I will extol the Lord at all times; His praise will always be on my lips. I sought the Lord, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears. Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in Him.”Matthew 6:9–13 (NIV) “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.”Episode Highlights:Psalm 34 shows worship as the weapon that defeats fear.Matthew 6 teaches prayer as the language of faith, trust, and surrender. The link between praise and prayer — two sides of the same relationship. Why “Our Father” reshapes identity and removes isolation. How daily bread points to more than food — it's the provision of peace.Communion at the close: resetting the heart around God's goodness.Life Application: When David said “I will bless the Lord at all times,” he chose praise in pain. When Jesus said “Our Father,” He taught us intimacy, not distance. Together, these truths teach us to live with open hands—praising in storms and praying in surrender. This week, take five quiet minutes a day to pray Psalm 34 out loud, then recite the Lord's Prayer slowly, pausing at each line. Send us your feedback — we're listeningIf prayer has started to feel noisy, rushed, or complicated, this conversation offers a quieter, richer path forward. We walk through Matthew 6 line by line and rediscover the Lord's Prayer as a simple, daily way of life—one that shapes attention, deepens trust, and reframes worship from performance into presence. Along the way we dismantle the pressure to “pray like others” and replace it with Jesus' practical instruction: go into your room, close the door, and speak to your Father who sees in secret. We explore how praying scripture anchors a scattered mind. “Hallowed be your name” lifts our gaze; “Your kingdom come” realigns our plans; “Give us today our daily bread” trains a non‑anxious dependence; “Forgive us… as we forgive” softens hard places; “Lead us not into temptation” builds vigilance; “Deliver us from evil” keeps us awake to reality. With Psalm 23 and Psalm 91, we sketch a doable rhythm for morning and evening that resists distraction and builds inner strength over time. No hype, no hurry—just honest words shaped by the Word.Unity matters too. Acts 1–2 shows men and women praying together with one heart, awaiting God's timing and the Spirit's enabling. Gifts are received, not forced; prayer is shared, not staged. We finish at the table—bread and cup taken from the heart in ordinary places—remembering that prayer is how loved people breathe. If your soul is tired or your focus is thin, start small: pray the Lord's Prayer slowly, twice a day, for a week. Tell us what changes. Send us your feedback — we're listeningOne Story That Resets Courage: David, Goliath, and the Church TodaySometimes all it takes is a single story to reset our courage. When we open 1 Samuel 17, the account of David and Goliath is more than children's church material—it is a prophetic mirror for our moment. It asks us a harder, unavoidable question: What giants are we trying to defeat, and what weapons are we really holding in our hands? In today's world, we are quick to fight with optics, slogans, and noise. We wave flags, argue online, and measure strength by platforms, likes, and headlines. But Scripture reminds us that the battle is not won by appearances. The only weapon that truly brings victory is the weapon David carried—faith expressed through prayer, trust, and the living Word of God.When the Church Chooses Convenience Over ConvictionThis passage forces us to look honestly at ourselves, not just the culture. The deeper crisis is not only government pressure or cultural hostility, but a church often tempted to trade conviction for convenience. Identity in Christ gets swapped for identity in political parties, movements, or labels. And when the valley comes calling, those labels cannot save us.Saul vs. David: Leadership That Looks Strong vs. Leadership That Is AnointedThe contrast between Saul and David cuts to the heart of leadership today. Saul looked impressive, but lacked anointing. He had the title, the position, and the outward strength. David, on the other hand, came from the fields, scarred from quiet, unseen battles with lions and bears. That difference matters when giants rise.Saul trusted in armour; David trusted in God.Saul's leadership was built on appearance; David's was built on anointing.Saul shrank back; David ran forward. For anyone who has ever felt overlooked, rejected, or underestimated, this message is especially for you. God often forms His boldest warriors in hidden fields, not in conference halls. The world may not recognise you, but Heaven does. How Faith Still Slays Giants TodayThis conversation presses into practical truth:Why anointing outruns a CV or résumé every timeHow prayer steadies the soul when the streets are loudWhat it looks like to run toward problems, not away, armed with Scripture and the name of the LordWhy courage grows in private devotion before it shows uSupport the showFor more inspiring content, visit RBChristianRadio.net — your home for daily devotionals, global prayer, and biblical encouragement for every season of life. Send us a textPsalm 23: Anchored Faith in a Shaken World – Unshakeable: A Daily Christian Devotional PodcastGrief may whisper in the quiet, but tonight we discover how a prayer of sorrow opens the door to fierce hope. This message takes you straight into Psalm 23 for those who feel like the ground is shifting—fear, anxiety, political chaos, and leaders who preach faith without living under the authority of Scripture. Here, the Shepherd steps into the valley. He doesn't flinch. He walks with you. And His rod and staff are still enough to comfort and guide. We confront the drift in modern churches, the noise of politics, and the temptation to put our trust in flags, parties, and platforms. Instead, we return to the basics of real discipleship:Holiness that costs.Prayer that contends.Fasting that clears the fog.Scripture that still speaks with living fire.Hebrews 12 lifts our eyes above headlines to the Author and Finisher of our faith. Psalm 23 and Psalm 91 stop being just verses and become breath in hard places: “Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil” … “He will command His angels concerning you.”Along the way, we uncover why real revival often blooms under pressure, what the persecuted church teaches us about courage, and how simple acts like communion at home reclaim the raw power of grace. No theatrics. No gatekeepers. Just bread, cup, and the King who prepares a table before our enemies. If you're weary of spiritual performance and hungry for the real presence of God, this episode will anchor you in His promises. Expect challenge. Expect comfort. Above all, expect the Shepherd Himself to lead you.

Send us a textThe spiritual landscape of our world is in crisis. With unflinching clarity, Reverend Ben Cooper confronts the troubling reality of modern Christianity, where celebrity pastors with security details have replaced the humble carpenter from Nazareth who walked unprotected among his enemies.Drawing from 2 Thessalonians, Cooper exposes what Scripture calls "counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders" proliferating through celebrity church culture. These displays of religious showmanship - pastors causing mass fainting with a wave of their jackets or being treated like royalty - stand in stark contrast to Jesus who worked with his hands to support his family. "Jesus didn't have a TikTok account, security guards, or a private jet," Cooper reminds us. "He's the king, the real man."This message cuts through denominational divides to focus on what truly matters - authentic relationship with Christ. Cooper warns against sowing financial seeds into millionaire ministries while struggling families lack basic necessities. "The greatest gift you'll ever give is a Bible to someone," he emphasizes, encouraging listeners to help neighbors with groceries or fuel rather than funding lavish religious empires. At its heart, this podcast calls believers back to prayer and Scripture. For those unsure how to pray, Cooper suggests starting with Psalm 23 and the Lord's Prayer - simple yet profound entry points to deeper communion with God. His passionate plea reminds us that no political solution can fix our spiritual crisis; only returning to Jesus himself will bring the transformation we desperately need.Whether you're disillusioned with modern church culture or seeking authentic faith in confusing times, this message offers both challenge and hope. Send us a textFrom London, England, Reverend Ben Cooper delivers a powerful and unshakable word answering one of the greatest questions of all time: What sets Christianity apart from every other belief system on earth? This message takes us into 2 Chronicles 15, showing how Israel's spiritual decline mirrors our modern world—nations adrift, abandoning God's truth, and embracing confusion. Yet the sermon goes further, taking us to the cross of Christ where Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathea physically carried the body of Jesus and were covered in His blood. This vivid picture reveals the very essence of salvation: when we embrace the Word of God, we too are covered by the redeeming blood of Christ.Unlike every other religion, Christianity alone proclaims an empty tomb. While the world can point to the graves of founders long dead, Christians serve the living God who defeated death and reigns forever. The resurrection is not a side note—it is the cornerstone that changes everything.Biblical Foundation:“For a long time Israel was without the true God, without a priest to teach and without the law.” – 2 Chronicles 15:3“But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.” – 2 Chronicles 15:7“Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen!” – Luke 24:5–6“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.” – John 11:25Episode Highlights:Why Christianity stands alone among world religions. The prophetic parallel between 2 Chronicles 15 and our present age.The symbolism of Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathea covered in Christ's blood. The archaeological and historical witness of the empty tomb. How the resurrection secures our eternal hope.Life Application: In a world filled with spiritual counterfeits and moral confusion, this message reminds us that our faith rests not in a philosophy, but in a risen Savior. Be encouraged that your work, your faith, and your perseverance are not in vain. Send us a textHave you ever wondered why following Christ feels more difficult than you imagined? Many believers begin their faith journey expecting blessing, protection, and victory at every turn—yet quickly discover that trials, disappointments, and hardships are often part of the Christian walk. This tension leaves many asking: “Am I doing something wrong?”The truth is, you are not failing in your faith because you are struggling. In fact, you may be walking the very path Scripture describes as authentic discipleship.Paul's Testimony: Strength in SufferingFew lives illustrate this more vividly than that of the Apostle Paul. Once Saul of Tarsus—a man of privilege, status, and influence—Paul surrendered everything when he encountered Christ on the Damascus Road. From that moment, his life was radically redefined, not by worldly success but by relentless suffering and unwavering faith. In 2 Corinthians 11, Paul catalogues his hardships: imprisonments, countless beatings, shipwrecks, hunger, sleepless nights, and constant danger. Far from being exceptions, these became his normal reality. Yet rather than weakening his faith, these trials revealed the power and sufficiency of God in ways comfort never could.Just one chapter later, Paul shares his intimate struggle with a persistent affliction—the famous “thorn in the flesh.” Despite pleading for relief, God's answer was not deliverance but revelation:“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9).Paul's response has sustained believers for centuries: “When I am weak, then I am strong.”The Biblical PatternThis paradox is not unique to Paul. It runs through the entire biblical story:Moses felt inadequate to confront Pharaoh, yet God used his weakness to display His power.David, the shepherd boy, defeated Goliath not with human strength but by relying on God.Jesus Himself declared, “Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 5:10).Even Christ's own journey—the cross before the resurrection—demonstrates that God's greatest victories often come through apparent defeat. What This Means for Us TodayThe message is clear: following Jesus is not a guarantee of prosperity or ease. Instead, it is a call to daily surrender, trust, and dependence. Hardship is not evidence of God's absence but the very place where His presence becomes most real. For believers navigating storms today—whether financial pressures, broken relationships, health struggles, or spiritual battles—Paul's words are a beacon of hope. Your trials are not wasted. Your weakness is not failure. It is the stage upon which God displays His strength.Living the ParadoxThis “strip-back” process—where God removes our self-sufficiency and worldly securities—deepens our reliance on Him. In the wilderness, we discover manna. In weakness, we discover grace. In suffering, we discover the felloSupport the showThank you for listening! Send us a textFrom London, England, Reverend Ben Cooper brings a powerful devotional that links two life-changing passages of Scripture: John 14:1–6 and Psalm 46.Jesus speaks directly to our troubled hearts in John 14: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me… I am the way, the truth, and the life.” These words are not just comforting, they are life-giving — a promise of peace, eternal security, and direction when everything around us feels uncertain. Then Psalm 46 takes us even deeper: “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble… Be still, and know that I am God.” This psalm reminds us that in the very centre of life's storms, when the earth shakes and nations are in uproar, God remains unshaken. He is not distant, He is present — a safe place, a strong tower, and an anchor for our souls.

This podcast is one with a twist. Instead of the good stories of God speaking, we're sharing the bad! We all love a good God conversation story. God is still speaking as powerfully and creatively as he did in Bible days. But the nature of our flawed humanity is that we can get it wrong. We can make mistakes. We can use the claim to hearing God's voice to manipulate others. The result is real damage to people's lives. It's important that we don't overlook the bad stories or pretend they don't exist. Instead they become a learning opportunity when we see where things went wrong. That's why on the show in this episode, we talk with long time pastor Paul Hudson from the Elim group of churches in the UK. As a pastor of pastors, he's seen the worst (and the best!) of the prophetic world and has plenty of wisdom to share about how to avoid the pitfalls. You'll hear about: Paul's story growing up in a Christian environment and how two simple words from the Holy Spirit completely changed his heart towards international mission. From there, God used him to establish a global network beyond his own nation. A tragic story of a young man and woman who believed God spoke to them about marriage. They married quickly without consultation from others and their marriage broke up within 6 months due to abuse. Here we learn how consultation in community - especially those who are willing to disagree - is crucial. Paul's own story of God speaking to warn him and how he twisted it around because he didn't like what he heard. Thankfully God gave him a further message that enabled him to redeem the situation. Reflections on the Apostle's Paul experience when the disciples mis-interpreted the prophetic word they heard about Paul's journey to Jerusalem (Acts 21). Throughout the stories, you'll hear some recurring themes! We share the bad stories so we don't have to repeat them. Let's be smart enough as well as humble enough to learn from the experiences of others! Subscribe to God Conversations with Tania Harris and never miss an episode! About Paul Hudson After planting a church in the Lake District of the UK for 4 years, Paul pastored a church in West Yorkshire for 17 years. During that time, Paul also became the International Missions Director for the Elim denomination and established the Elim Global Network which is now in over 60 nations of the world and made up of thousands of churches. Five years later, he holds a regional role, leading 105 churches in the UK and acting as the pastors' pastor. He continues to serve as the General Secretary of the Elim Global Network.

When the Israelites reached Marah their thirst revealed a deeper spiritual failing — they grumbled instead of trusting God — but Moses' faithful prayer and obedience showed that God meets our needs and calls us to trust and obey. God does not leave us in bitterness; he leads us to Elim's abundant springs as a picture of Christ's living water that satisfies the soul and wells up to eternal life. The post Living Water appeared first on Mt. Rose OPC.

“Trust and Rest” Exodus 16:1-16 August 3, 2025 Pastor Tony Felich ----more---- Exodus 16:1 They set out from Elim, and all the congregation of the people of Israel came to the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after they had departed from the land of Egypt. [2] And the whole congregation of the people of Israel grumbled against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness, [3] and the people of Israel said to them, “Would that we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the meat pots and ate bread to the full, for you have brought us out into this wilderness to kill this whole assembly with hunger.” [4] Then the Lord said to Moses, “Behold, I am about to rain bread from heaven for you, and the people shall go out and gather a day's portion every day, that I may test them, whether they will walk in my law or not. [5] On the sixth day, when they prepare what they bring in, it will be twice as much as they gather daily.” [6] So Moses and Aaron said to all the people of Israel, “At evening you shall know that it was the Lord who brought you out of the land of Egypt, [7] and in the morning you shall see the glory of the Lord, because he has heard your grumbling against the Lord. For what are we, that you grumble against us?” [8] And Moses said, “When the Lord gives you in the evening meat to eat and in the morning bread to the full, because the Lord has heard your grumbling that you grumble against him—what are we? Your grumbling is not against us but against the Lord.” [9] Then Moses said to Aaron, “Say to the whole congregation of the people of Israel, ‘Come near before the Lord, for he has heard your grumbling.'” [10] And as soon as Aaron spoke to the whole congregation of the people of Israel, they looked toward the wilderness, and behold, the glory of the Lord appeared in the cloud. [11] And the Lord said to Moses, [12] “I have heard the grumbling of the people of Israel. Say to them, ‘At twilight you shall eat meat, and in the morning you shall be filled with bread. Then you shall know that I am the Lord your God.'” [13] In the evening quail came up and covered the camp, and in the morning dew lay around the camp. [14] And when the dew had gone up, there was on the face of the wilderness a fine, flake-like thing, fine as frost on the ground. [15] When the people of Israel saw it, they said to one another, “What is it?” For they did not know what it was. And Moses said to them, “It is the bread that the Lord has given you to eat. [16] This is what the Lord has commanded: ‘Gather of it, each one of you, as much as he can eat. You shall each take an omer, according to the number of the persons that each of you has in his tent.'” God uses tangible provisions and testing circumstances to transform His people from a slave mentality into a community that trusts His daily faithfulness and rests in His sovereign care, teaching them that rebellion against His appointed leadership ultimately rebels against His gracious love. I. Our Immediate Circumstances Make Us Forget God's Long-Term Faithfulness II. God's Grace Appears Most Clearly in Response to Rebellion III. God's Tests Cultivate Both Trust and Obedience IV. God Provides Tangible Blessings to Assure His Faithful Presence V. Rebellion Against God's Appointed Leaders Is Rebellion Against God
