On a cold December evening in Surrey, England, two separate callers reported the same terrifying sight: headlights swerving off the busy A3 road and disappearing into the trees. Convinced they'd just witnessed a crash, police raced to the scene — but the road was empty, the barriers intact, and no fresh tire marks scarred the embankment. Still, the officers pressed on.
