Life gets heavy. Faith gets dry. And sometimes, even the most seasoned believers find themselves trying to carry what only Christ was meant to hold. In this week's message, Held Together in Christ, we're reminded that walking in step with the Spirit leads to transformation—and that Jesus alone is the one who holds all things together.Whether you feel stretched thin or just out of sync spiritually, this message will help you pause, realign, and return to the peace found in Christ.Questions for Reflection:• What have you done in the past when things begin to break or fall apart? What could you do differently?• Do you see evidence of the Spirit's work in and through you? Can you give an example?
Before we dive in: this episode includes discussion of miscarriage and pregnancy loss. Please take care while listening. You're listening to Voices of Your Village, and today I got to hang out with Dr. Rebecca N. Thompson. She's a family medicine and public health physician who specializes in women's and children's health, and she's the author of Held Together: A Shared Memoir of Motherhood, Medicine, and Imperfect Love. She's joining us today to talk about the experience of going through pregnancy complications and losses as a doctor herself, and the many ways that family building challenges can shape our identities and how exploring the unexpected in family life led her to a decade-long collaborative storytelling project with her patients, friends and medical colleagues. We had a really vulnerable conversation here, and we talked about a lot of different things and what that journey to motherhood looked like for me, what the messy middle looked like when I was navigating miscarriages and challenges in getting pregnant. And I'm so grateful for Becca for having these conversations so vulnerably with so many humans and hope that this feels as validating as it did for me and really would've in those seasons before I was able to enter into motherhood. When you are snagging her book Held Together, you can go through the website, we're gonna link it below, and if you order through an indie or from the Amazon link on the website, it supports Postpartum Support International. Pastor Henry Tam. Ephesians 4:16
Dr. Daniel Butler shares a heart wrenching journey through personal and family challenges, focusing on his wife's mental health struggles and how these experiences have reshaped his life and ministry. He speaks openly about the real impact of chronic stress and the importance of caring for both your emotional and physical health. For Daniel, faith isn't just a comfort—it's the foundation that helped him lean on community support and find hope during the toughest times. He explains how prioritizing self-care, from getting enough sleep to managing stress, isn't a luxury but a necessity for living out God's eternal purpose. His wisdom reminds us that by taking care of ourselves, we're better equipped to help others, turning life's challenges into opportunities for growth.Purchase The Christian Leader Blueprint book today: https://www.ryanfranklin.org/blueprintbookDownload The Christian Leader Blueprint – Short Guide (Free): https://www.ryanfranklin.org/blueprint Take the Christian Leader™ Self-Assessment (Free):https://www.ryanfranklin.org/clselfassessment Learn more about Christian Leader™ Community Coaching:https://www.ryanfranklin.org/communitycoaching YouTube and Audio Podcast: https://www.ryanfranklin.org/leaderpodcast Connect with Ryan: Email: info@ryanfranklin.org Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/rnfranklin/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/rnfranklin/ Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/rnfranklin/ Audio mastering by Apostolic Audio: https://www.apostolic-audio.com#leadership, #thoughtleadership, #ministry, #pastor, #pastors, #churches, #leadershiptraining, #churchleader, #churchleaders, #influence, #leadershipdevelopment, #coaching, #executivecoach, #leadershipcoaching, #productivitycoach, #productivity, #growthmindset, #theproductiveleader, #ChristianLeader, #ChristianLeadership, #LeadershipPodcast, #FaithAndBusiness, #PodcastInterview, #ChristianEntrepreneurship, #KingdomImpact, #PodcastInspiration, #LeadershipJourney, #PurposeDriven, #ChristianPodcast, #LeadershipEssentials, #LeadershipFundamentalsSend us a text

Amy Pickett-Williams and Anita have something in common that's surprisingly not grief-related. But these small, prickly things are what ultimately led Amy, who is a grief therapist and integrative somatic trauma therapist, on her journey to help the world find tools for healing. The LIGHT Movement (Love in Grief, Held Together) was started by a group of volunteers in the fall of 2023, with the intention to let those grieving know that they are not alone. Jason's message this morning, “Held Together”. Each one of us are vitally important to the work of the church, and we need to embrace the calling to serve. Just like the body, every part has a purpose to make the body whole and grow.

Preaching: Mike RothIt's an annual tradition at Pearl Church for our Oversight Team to share their hearts for our church during the month of August. Each week a different Oversight Team member will take their turn, giving us a chance to hear what they dream of for Pearl. This week, we hear from Oversight Team member Rachel Marble.Pearl Church exists to express a sacred story and to extend a common table that animate life by love. All's well that ends well in a Dharma film. Jugjugg Jeeyo is no different . It's the kind of glitter and shimmer one has come to expect, where chaos is played up for laughs and cantankerous fights are taken to a shrill high only to inevitably get drowned by dhol beats, naach gaana and Patiala pegs. A happy song plays with the end credits and we get two hours watching well-dressed, beautiful people in their big houses and luxe interiors. Ultimately, we walk out smiling. Tune in!
1: It's very hard to be critical of the team's play when they are just hit with injury after injury after injury. We're so injured that Mikey is on the pitch. I mean we are coming to the point of not being able to have a full bench without 2's call ups which truthfully, Mikey would normally be which truthfully is probably a big reason why the 2's aren't doing so well. However, what you cannot do is lose your head at the end of the match and make contact with a ref (who was crap). This was as emotional a game as we've played. So much so that cool headed Pineda got a red. It's not good from Pineda and it's really not good from Almada who has been outstanding and we really can't afford to lose anyone else. 2: Not just any set piece, but the first set piece. Plus an injury. Columbus got their boots to the 2nd as well. Would I still rather us be more shored up on open play defense? Yeah of-course. But damn are set pieces killing us. Teams are really taking their chances against us because I think they know it might very well be their best chance to catch us out. 3: This is heartbreaking for Gonzo. We're not getting a good luck at what he can really do. He's in survival mode. This team is held together by duct tape and defiance. I think Pineda is a good coach. I think his tactics and style fits this team. I think he's got the players (what's left of them) playing for him. I just hope he gets just as much credit for keeping this ship afloat as he would if it was full sail and we were sinking everyone else. I hate this for him. 4: I don't know what it is about Atlanta that seems to bring the best performances out of lesser opponents, in particular their goal keepers, but it happens all the time. If that little combination and flick in the 30th doesn't result in a goal, and the shot from Cisneros in the 68th, yeah….. it was gonna take a bicycle from Dom
