Acknowledge the four directions within yourself and embrace their essence—recognize how they manifest in your life. Tune into any emotional or mental imbalances that may persist within, and become acquainted with the powerful centers that surround you: your crown chakra (Sahasrara), your root chakra (Muladhara), your yin (feminine/moon energy), and your yang (masculine/sun energy). Together, they guide you toward a sense of profound inner harmony.Complement this meditation with journaling to reflect on your visionary meditative journey by writing the areas you feel divided and offering them with an accepting heart and the openness to move through it to harmony.Felecia's inspirational poetry book: https://www.whenwordsflow.com/Felecia's eco-therapy wellness service 'UNEARTH ME': Coming Soon!Socials:• Personal/Writing: https://www.instagram.com/_feleciakearse/?hl=en • Unearth Podcast: https://www.instagram.com/unearththepodcast/?hl=en • Unearth Me Wellness: https://www.instagram.com/unearthmewellness/?hl=en

(01:02) Dive into the delicious world of '77 Club, Pittsburgh's rising wood-fired sensation transforming the city's food scene with Italian street food and community spirit. Founders Brittani and Dustin Boutilier share the journey that brought them from California to Pittsburgh by way of Brazil, driven by their passion for authentic cuisine and bringing people together through food. The star of their mobile kitchen? The panuozzo – a pizza sandwich originating from Campagna, Italy that delivers all the flavor of pizza in a portable, quick-service format perfect for brewery pop-ups. Each sandwich pays homage to songs they love, from the "I Am Blue" with its surprisingly addictive mustard cream to the "Blockhead" featuring crispy potatoes and caramelized onions.(09:40) What makes '77 Club particularly special is the vibe they've created. Named after 1977 – the iconic year that birthed punk rock – their business embodies that DIY ethos while inviting everyone to feel part of something special. Their regular residencies at local breweries like Four Points, Leaning Cask, and Eleventh Hour have built a devoted following, with catering services expanding their reach.Their partnership with Bunker Projects highlights their commitment to supporting Pittsburgh's arts community, including an upcoming block party in June 2025. Whether you're a foodie seeking authentic Italian street food or simply looking for your next favorite local business to support, '77 Club delivers quality, creativity, and community on every plate. Find them on Instagram at @77club_pgh to discover where they'll pop up next!(26:49) Later in the show, we take a trip 'dahntawn' with Autumn Pawelec to experience the chic looks and equally stunning bites of Ritual House. Episode 296 of The Wolves 77 Club dives into Wolves' latest performances, with Sam, Harry, and Jack breaking down a hard-fought draw against Everton and a crucial away win at Southampton. With Matheus Cunha missing, Wolves had to find new attacking solutions, and the team discusses whether they did enough against Everton and how Bellegarde's growing influence continues to make a difference. The conversation shifts to Southampton, where Strand Larsen stepped up in style, scoring twice to secure an important victory. His performances have divided opinions throughout the season, but was this the moment he proved his doubters wrong? Jack, the self-appointed chairman of the Strand Larsen fan club, certainly thinks so. With Ipswich and Leicester dropping points, talk turns to whether Wolves have effectively secured their Premier League survival. Jack makes a bold statement about the club's future, but will it come back to haunt him? Meanwhile, transfer speculation is in full swing as the guys discuss potential summer moves, including whether a return for Diogo Jota or Conor Coady is realistic. The England squad announcement also sparks debate, with frustration over Thomas Tuchel's selections. Harry is particularly unimpressed, questioning some of the call-ups and sharing his thoughts on what the squad should really look like. As always, the episode is filled with nostalgia, laughter, and even a bizarre footballing mix-up from Bulgaria that you won't believe. Learn more about your ad choices. Narrator Liam Garrigan has a natural storytelling style, and his British accent and professional delivery work well for the material. The central idea is how the cardinal directions gave life meaning throughout history but are now being displaced in the digital age, when the ideas of east against west and south versus north have geopolitical, rather than geographical, meanings.   Learn more about your ad choices. North, South, East and West — the cardinal directions have a surprising history of cultural and social significance. Jerry Brotton, professor of English and history at the University of London, joins host Krys Boyd to discuss how something as simple as a compass has come to define our world — from how “the West” defines political power, what we mean by “the Global South,” and why cardinal directions might have been some of the very first words used in human language. Welcome dear listener to the latest episode. Look out for the bonus episode coming soon previewing our upcoming games. I'm Paul and I am joined by Sean and Daz. The Reds drew 2-2 with Fulham last weekend, beat Southampton 2-1 last Wednesday in the Carabao Cup and played a tough one against Spurs today - well OK, a game we dominated. We are at the top of the Premier League with a game in hand - 12 points clear of City, 6 from Arsenal and 4 from Chelsea. We'll review those games and then talk about the upcoming Premier League games against Leicester, West Ham and Man United. Part One - Reds drew at home Fulham - xG 2.13 versus 1.22 Losing Andy Robertson after 17 minutes was tough The team looked like an 11 for the most part The challenge on Gomez was huge. 2-1 up with 20 to go would have been great. Szobo and Ryan were magnificent. And Oh his name is Diogo!! Part Two - a word on Southampton (xG 0.7 to 1.7) and then the Spurs game: Southampton: Actually a good performance by a much pared down squad - Nyoni, Morton, Endo, Elliott. Some decent performances in there. Good goals by Darwin and Harvey. Lots of CSI shit about the challenge by Quansah on Fernandes (cf with national reporting of the foul on Gomez in the Fulham game). Spurs (xG 4.60 vs 1.25) Lots of bad memories at this stadium. Even when we won, Bobby got poked in the eye Apart from the vertigo suffering Madison's goal, that first half was just about perfect Diaz, Gakpo, Salah combination That midfield - probably helped by the break that we had and they didn't Salah - 2 behind Henry, 5 behind Lampard in EPL goals. Just passed Billy Liddell, now 4th on the all time Liverpool list. Joint 10th on the EPL list of assists, about to pass David Beckham. Concern about conceding 2 late goals? We will be back in 2 weeks with a review of those four or five games, and maybe some previews. Thanks to Daz and Sean for joining me, Paul. And most of all, thank you dear listener for joining us. North, south, east and west: almost all societies use the four cardinal directions to orientate themselves, to understand who they are by projecting where they are. For millennia, these four directions have been foundational to our travel, navigation and exploration and are central to the imaginative, moral and political geography of virtually every culture in the world. Yet they are far more subjective and various – sometimes contradictory – than we might realise. Four Points of the Compass: The Unexpected History of Direction (Atlantic Monthly Press, 2024) by Dr. Jerry Brotton takes the reader on a journey of directional discovery. Dr. Brotton reveals why Hebrew culture privileges east; why Renaissance Europeans began drawing north at the top of their maps; why the early Islam revered the south; why the Aztecs used five colour-coded cardinal directions; and why no societies, primitive or modern, have ever orientated themselves westwards. He ends by reflecting on our digital age in which we, the little blue dot on the screen, have become the most important compass point. Throughout, Dr. Brotton shows that the directions reflect a human desire to create order and that they only have meaning, literally and metaphorically, depending on where you stand. This interview was conducted by Dr. Miranda Melcher whose new book focuses on post-conflict military integration, understanding treaty negotiation and implementation in civil war contexts, with qualitative analysis of the Angolan and Mozambican civil wars. Have you ever wondered why your aging parent suddenly needs to arrive an hour early for everything? Or why, after knowing them your entire life, they suddenly appear to be trying to exert control and order at a level that you've never experienced? In today's episode of The Virtual Couch podcast, Tony Overbay, LMFT, takes us on a fascinating journey through the human brain, starting with the incredible story of Phineas Gage - the man who survived an iron rod through his head and lived to tell the tale (though he wasn't quite the same person afterward). From there, he dives into something most all of us are impacted by, either directly or through someone that we care about - anxiety. But not just any anxiety - we're talking about why our caveman's brains are still trying to protect us from tigers in the parking lot and how this shows up differently as we age. Tony breaks down the fundamental differences between normal aging, dementia, and Alzheimer's in a way that finally makes sense. Tony then breaks down a listener's email about their father's increasingly anxious behaviors. Tony unpacks powerful tools for handling these delicate family situations. Tony introduces the acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) principle of psychological flexibility (think yoga for your emotions) and shares David Schnarch's “4 Points of Balance” to becoming more differentiated, which helps you maintain your sanity while staying connected to those you love. Tony explains Schnarch's 'crucible' as the transformative space where relationships grow or crack under pressure. Whether you're dealing with an aging parent, a challenging relationship, or just trying to understand why people do what they do, this episode offers the “why” behind our anxious and controlling behaviors and practical ways to navigate life's complicated relationships without losing yourself. 00:00 The Incredible Story of Phineas Gage 04:04 Introduction to the Virtual Couch 05:38 Listener's Email: Concerns About Aging Parent 07:40 Understanding Anxiety and Its Evolution 14:57 Distinguishing Dementia and Alzheimer's 17:33 Coping with Aging and Anxiety 24:50 Practical Advice for Managing Anxiety 24:59 Reframing Perspectives 25:09 Empathy and Understanding 25:25 Intentional Conversations 25:55 Meeting Halfway 26:12 Choosing Your Battles 26:54 Boundaries vs Ultimatums 27:12 Psychological Reactance 30:22 Differentiation and Emotional Autonomy 32:57 Four Points of Balance 38:30 Constructing Your Crucible 44:43 Final Thoughts and Takeaways To learn more about Tony's upcoming re-release of the Magnetic Marriage course, his Pathback Recovery course, and more, sign up for his newsletter through the link at https://linktr.ee/virtualcouch Available NOW: Tony's "Magnetic Marriage Mini-Course" is only $25. https://magneticmarriage.mykajabi.com/magnetic-marriage-mini-course Please follow Tony's newest Instagram account for the Waking Up to Narcissism podcast https://www.instagram.com/wutnpod/ as well as Tony's account https://www.instagram.com/tonyoverbay_lmft/ Subscribe to Tony's latest podcast, "Waking Up to Narcissism Q&A - Premium Podcast," on the Apple Podcast App. https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/waking-up-to-narcissism-q-a/id1667287384 Go to http://tonyoverbay.com/workshop to sign up for Tony's "Magnetize Your Marriage" virtual workshop. In this episode of Waking Up to Narcissism, we introduce the concept of the “attack surface”—that uncomfortable dynamic where emotionally immature or narcissistic partners turn your honesty into their weapon of control. We'll also explore how this need for control originates from emotional immaturity, dive into the origin story of our deep-seated fear of abandonment, and discuss practical ways to develop your emotional maturity. From separating observations from judgments to the 4 Points of Balance in differentiation, this episode offers tools to help you confront unresolved personal issues in relationships with integrity and create healthier, more connected interactions.
