JFK The Enduring Secret

It is midnight in Dallas on Friday, November 22, 1963, and the weekend of tragedy is bleeding into Saturday morning. Inside the limestone walls of the Dallas Police and Courts building, the air is thick with tobacco smoke, sweat, and cheap coffee as hundreds of international journalists clamor for a glimpse of the prime suspect. Fearing that prolonged silence behind closed doors will spark rumors of police brutality, police chiefs and prosecutors make the fateful decision to show Lee Harvey Oswald to the world. But as Captain Fritz attempts a brief showing in the cramped third-floor hallway, the corridor explodes into absolute bedlam, triggering a frantic press stampede down to the basement assembly room.Standing right in the center of this media storm is Jack Ruby, clad in a sharp gray suit and his signature snap-rim fedora, carrying a notepad and pencil. Bypassing every security checkpoint without credentials simply because local officers recognize him as the friendly operator of the Carousel Club, Ruby easily infiltrates the media theater known as the assembly room. But where exactly was he standing during the showing? While the Warren Commission accepted Ruby's clean narrative—supported by Detective Augustus Everhart—that he stood out of the way on a table in the back of the room, veteran police reporter John Rutledge swore under oath to a far more active presence. Rutledge testified that Ruby was down on the floor, weaving through the crowd between the second and third rows of desks, actively circulating and handing out Carousel Club business cards. When the double doors of the assembly room finally swing open, Jack Ruby and Lee Harvey Oswald stand face-to-face for the first time under the blinding, scorching television lights. We examine Ruby's chilling, immediate post-arrest impressions of the suspect to the FBI. Rather than seeing a historical or political figure, Ruby saw something visceral and disgusting, describing Oswald as a "little weasel" and a "creep," while uttering a strangely prophetic sentence: "He didn't look like he would have killed our president. Well, not all alone."But the most terrifying revelation of this midnight press showing lies in Jack's front pocket. As he stood mere feet away from the handcuffed suspect, Jack Ruby was carrying his loaded, nickel-plated .38 caliber Colt Cobra revolver. We dissect the heavy questions that still hang over this historic encounter: Was  Ruby's eventual shooting of Oswald  born of spontaneous, hysterical grief? Was he premeditated and if so, then why did he stand armed in that basement on Friday night and do nothing? We challenge the official, emotionally convenient narrative of a grieving citizen, exploring whether this Friday night infiltration was a calculated rehearsal—a dry run to test the building's security and see just how close a friendly local club owner could get to the most heavily guarded prisoner on Earth.

Matt, Jason, and Don sat down with author, speaker, and longtime voice of principled anarchism Larken Rose. Renowned for his groundbreaking works like The Most Dangerous Superstition and The Jones Plantation, Larken has spent decades dismantling the psychological illusion of political authority through plain logic, accessible analogies, and non-confrontational communication. In this episode, the hosts reflect on their recent experiences speaking at Larken's first-ever Approaching Humanity conference in Sedona, Arizona, exploring how bringing diverse voices together—ranging from former Obama supporters to an active, anti-statist Arizona sheriff—helps humanize the philosophy of voluntaryism and reach everyday people outside academic bubbles. The conversation dives deep into the rapid rise of the surveillance state, focusing on the exponential proliferation of Flock Safety license plate reader cameras and the massive, cross-partisan resistance emerging against them. The hosts and Larken examine how leaked corporate playbooks reveal police departments trying to "own the narrative," even as FBI data demonstrates that increased surveillance fails to improve crime clearance rates. Bypassing typical political divides, the group explores how to leverage real-world events—from foreign proxy wars and police overreach to local privacy battles—as entry points for conversation. Rather than treating statists as enemies to defeat, Larken outlines how Socratic questioning and methods like his Candles in the Dark program allow individuals to recognize their own internal contradictions and break free from political conditioning on their own terms. Concluding with an atypical "White Pill" segment, the discussion shifts toward personal mindset frameworks for navigating an increasingly polarized world. Larken emphasizes that the most powerful shift a freedom-minded individual can make is remembering that bad outcomes are almost always the result of good intentions twisted by systemic propaganda. By approaching friends, family, and neighbors with empathy rather than hostility, listeners are equipped to act as "candles in the dark"—asking honest, targeted questions that uncover shared values, strip away the illusion of state authority, and turn everyday interactions into opportunities to liberate minds. Today is August 8th, the peak of the Lion’s Gate Portal. This is a powerful energetic gateway inviting you to reconnect with your own inner wisdom, release what no longer serves you, and align with the life your soul calls for. It’s a time to open yourself to new possibilities and I recommend opening to the magic that’s all around you. To celebrate this day, I’m sharing my own story of how my soul called to me about magic. The Word Is Magic It began with a single word. Magic. But you know that's not just any word. Magic is a noun, a verb, a way of life. Magic holds the universe together and keeps the planets circling the sun. Even if you can't quite see or hear or touch magic, you know without question that it is there. Magic is real. At least to some people, like me. During Covid, I felt its pull. Magic beckoned me and I heeded the call. I stumbled on a magic coach who started me with simple things. I loved it. My favorite magic was with a sugar bowl, stirring sweetness into your life. I felt a little bit like Mary Poppins with her spoonful of sugar that made the medicine go down in the most delightful way. But I didn't need any medicine. I just needed the magic. Friday is Freya’s Day My coach suggested I pick a Goddess to work with and meditate with her every week. She said that Friday was Freya's day and somehow that felt perfect. I chose Freya, or maybe she chose me. From Norse mythology, Freya is the Goddess of love and war, beauty, fertility, and magic. Oh, of course she is. What a surprise that I felt drawn to her. So, I began a ritual where every Friday, I took a bath to cleanse my energy. I smudged my home to clear that as well. And once complete, I would sit in my chair to meditate and connect with the Goddess Freya. It didn't take too many tries before I enjoyed a visit from the Goddess herself. She came to me with outstretched arms and a smile. I wasn't sure what would happen as she moved closer to me, but I stayed open and quite curious. Freya came with healing in mind. She worked on my energy body, clearing and removing old energy, no longer wanted or needed. I could feel the change as a lightness lifted me. While I'm not sure how, something released and I felt free for the first time since…Well, I'm not sure I can even identify such a time. The result were expressed in my art journal piece. I felt free to be my magical self. That me had wings and a very big heart. There were colorful clouds behind me and glittering chunks of rose quartz before me. I smiled brightly at this image once it was finished and still do today as it hangs on my wall. Over time, I came to realize that I had been prevented from connecting with my magic by so many things. I discovered one vow after another, binding me and supposedly keeping me safe from interacting with magic. I must not talk about magic. I must not use any magic. I must not teach or share any magic. I must hide my magic. I don't know why I made these vows. Was this for my highest good? Was I coerced into these vows by another? I cannot say with any true clarity. But every time I found a vow, the need to shake free was undeniable and overwhelming. And I did, releasing every vow I came upon. So, as a result, I became even freer. Bypassing the Obstacles Magic is boundless, so I found my way around the preventive measures that were meant to keep me apart from this universal life force. Magic is for everyone, of this, I am sure. It's a natural force waiting for us to discover and interact with. Magic is here to help us live the life we want and to do good things in the world. It is the secret to living a rich full life that's fun and satisfying. At a craft fair, I bought photographs of letters, captured from architectural elements. Each letter is a different image but put together, they spelled the word MAGIC in the most creative way. I hung the word over my office door. Every time I enter, I now enter the magic. I took a course on blessings. Day one was the blessing of abundance. Day two was good health. Day three was peace. Day four was happiness. Day five was different. I don't remember what the teacher suggested, but my own blessing welled up within me to be brought forth divinely – I live in the magic. While I had signed up for a 30-day program, I could go no further. What was a bigger blessing than to live in the magic? I've lived there ever since. A simple song I had created years back came to me out of the blue. I started to sing it again while I took my daily walk. It's a short song in a minor key but creates an uplifting feeling. Here are the words: “Life is magical, life is magical, the universe is magic and the magic starts with me. As I open my heart, and expand it trustingly, the Universe does respond to me.” Absolute gold. When did this come to me? I could not remember. Magical Experiences My life continued with discoveries and experiences that could be defined in no other way than simply magical. Moments that add so much joy and wisdom. Getting a message from my honeysuckle vine, pointing out that I was missing out on joy and to open my awareness wider. Seeing a three-inch boot print that depressed the grass in my front yard as I planted flowers. An elemental letting me know it was there. After expressing gratitude in the garden to the plant devas and elementals, two tiny orange moths landed on my arm and did a synchronized dance before flying off together. A friend built a fire on a summer evening and suggested we communicate with it. The fire spoke to me in poetry, describing its power and the nature of its energy. A small pile of leaves caught my attention as I walked by my neighbor's yard. They suddenly whirled upwards into the air in a surprising spiral. Claiming Magic Next, I worked with a somatic coach, who helped me release stuck emotions from my body. During this one particular session, it was the magic that came free. I claimed it. Both my hands reached up above my head to the sky and these words reverberated through my body as I spoke them: “I am magic.” Yes, I am. Do I understand my history or what separated me from my magic? Some of it maybe, but certainly not all. Yet, how interesting that it doesn't matter. I am magic and nothing can ever prevent that again. But what I have discovered and now know to be true, is that you too are magic. We are all magic. So, if you haven't yet come to this idea, or connected to your magic, but find yourself reading this curious piece of writing, know this message is meant for you. You are magic and it's time you started living as if you know that this is true. If you feel ready to connect with your inner wisdom and magic, I'd love to help you with that. Reach out to me here. Where the Magic Actually Lives Magic showed up for Ronnie during Covid, starting with something as simple as a sugar bowl — proof that reconnecting with magic doesn’t require anything dramatic. Working with a chosen goddess (Freya, for her) through weekly ritual — bath, smudging, meditation — opened the door to real energetic healing and release. Unconscious vows (“I must not talk about magic,” “I must hide my magic”) can quietly block your connection to magic until you find and release them. Magic announces itself in small synchronicities — a message from a honeysuckle vine, moths dancing on an arm, leaves spiraling upward — if you’re paying attention. The claim “I am magic” isn’t reserved for a chosen few. As Ronnie puts it, “You are magic and it’s time you started living as if you know that this is true.” FAQs What is the Lion’s Gate Portal? The Lion’s Gate Portal is an annual energetic gateway, peaking August 8th, that many spiritually minded people mark as a time for release and alignment. It’s considered a powerful window for reconnecting with inner wisdom, letting go of what no longer serves you, and opening to new possibilities. How do I start connecting with my own magic? Start small and consistent. You might choose a goddess or guide to meditate with weekly,. Build a simple ritual around it (cleansing, quiet reflection, intention, journaling), and staying open to what shows up is often enough to begin. The connection tends to deepen with repetition, not intensity. What is a soul vow, and how do I release one? A soul vow is an unconscious promise, often made for protection, that can block you from fully living. This could be a vow to hide or never share your gifts. Recognizing the vow when it surfaces and consciously releasing it is often enough to feel its grip lift. Can everyone access magic, or is it reserved for certain people? Everyone can access magic. It’s described as a natural force available to all, not a special ability limited to a few. The main barrier tends to be awareness rather than aptitude. Start to notice small synchronicities is one first step toward recognizing it. What are some signs that magic is present in daily life? Signs of magic tend to be small and easy to miss, like an unexpected message from nature or an unusual pattern in the physical world. Animals may behave in a way that feels meaningful or even noticing a sudden shift in your own emotions or energy. Paying attention is what makes them visible. { "@context": "https://schema.org", "@type": "FAQPage", "mainEntity": [ { "@type": "Question", "name": "What is the Lion's Gate Portal?", "acceptedAnswer": { "@type": "Answer", "text": "The Lion's Gate Portal is an annual energetic gateway, peaking August 8th, that many spiritually minded people mark as a time for release and alignment. Patsy Brooks-Tallant is a member of the Baby Scoop Era, the mid-20th-century period when societal pressures often forced unmarried or young mothers to surrender their infants for adoption. Born to a 21-year-old mother already raising four children, Patsy's pregnancy stemmed from an affair while the mother's military husband was overseas. To this day—over 63 years later—he believes Patsy is merely a family friend, unaware she is his wife's biological daughter and his stepchild. The couple remains married. Unable to keep her child, Patsy's birth mother arranged a private adoption through a family connection. Her own mother knew an older couple, aged 44 and 46, desperate for a child after the adoptive mother had lost her only biological infant. Bypassing formal agencies, the adoption was facilitated by a county judge, social worker, and private attorney who falsified documents. The adoptive parents were present at the birth and took Patsy home shortly after. Raised in a loving, stable home, Patsy always knew she was adopted. Three years later, the same family adopted her biological cousin, further linking the families. From her teens, Patsy pursued genealogy relentlessly. In high school, she located her birth mother but delayed contact. Their reunion revealed five half-siblings—four older, one younger—none aware of Patsy's existence, per her mother's request for secrecy. Years later, DNA testing uncovered her biological father's identity and seven additional paternal half-siblings. Tragically, he had passed away. Patsy has since met all her paternal siblings and maintains a close relationship with one younger maternal half-brother and his children. Ties with most maternal siblings remain distant to protect their mother's secret. Professionally, Patsy enjoyed a 49-year career as a Master Pet Stylist, owning mobile grooming units and teaching nationally and internationally. Now, her greatest passion is adoptee rights and DNA research. She advocates for unrestricted access to original birth records, refusing to uphold past secrecy. Married 42 years to her high school sweetheart, Patsy has three children and seven grandchildren. Despite a fulfilling life, she feels the primal loss of adoption daily. Forming sibling bonds in one's fifties and sixties - without shared childhoods - is difficult. Having lost her adoptive parents at ages 15 and 22, Patsy navigated these complexities largely alone. For her, adoptee identity remains a lifelong reality. Send us Fan MailWhat if the biggest source of stress isn't the weather, your partner, or the latest text that hit your nervous system like a freight train, but the meaning your mind assigns to it? From the shores of Hawaii, I walk through a grounded A Course in Miracles approach to forgiveness that does not ask you to deny your perception. It asks you to stop making perception into the cause of your suffering, so you can keep the practical wisdom and drop the inner war.We get into spiritual bypassing and the sneaky ways it shows up as “I should love this” while you override your body, your clarity, and your boundaries. I talk about manipulation in relationships, how blame hides the real pattern, and why “love requires sacrifice” is one of the most costly beliefs we carry. You'll hear why explaining yourself can be a form of buying into accusation, how honest boundaries can be the most loving move, and how a pattern collapses when you stop participating in the game.Along the way, I share lived stories about crying and the ego, parenting without control through unschooling, and what compassion looks like when you can say no firmly without making anyone guilty. We end with a listener question about an adult child who stops talking and the surprising peace that can arise when you stop chasing a story. If this resonates, subscribe, share it with someone stuck in a painful loop, and leave a review so more people can find the path from projection to peace.Support the show

Australia has been in the vanguard of legislation to try and reduce the influence of social media on children and young people - their ban for under 16s was introduced on the 10th of December 2025, to great fanfare, and a lot of interest around the world. But how effective are these bans at keeping children away from social media? New research just published on BMJ.com has looked at that question of efficacy - finding that children are using the most simple tactics to evade the ban. To dicuss what that means, we're joined by two of the authors of that research Courtney Barnes and Luke Wolfenden from the University of Newcastle, Australia. We're also joined by Amrit Purba, from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and Louise Holly, from the Digital Transformations for Health Lab, in Geneva, who have written commentaries to go with that research.   Reading list Assessing early effects of Australia's Social Media Minimum Age Act on adolescents' social media use  Learning from Australia's social media age restriction policy   Early data from Australia indicate that social media companies can't be relied on to protect children

"At the end of the day, that's what we do. I mean, that's our job... we're professional helpers." This simple principle serves as the heartbeat for a life dedicated to authentic human depth. In a world optimized for digital efficiency and "frictionless" convenience, the true currency of a meaningful life remains the unscalable power of independent thought, presence, and intentional effort. In this episode of Gratitude Through Hard Times, Chris Caldwell explores the growing cultural movement of human connection, healing, and the unexpected ways community anchors our lives. Chris shares insights from his personal journey, including navigating his rise from a part-time teller to the CEO of a historic community bank, the critical behind-the-scenes support of his wife Bettie, and his deep-seated commitment to paying forward success through active volunteerism. Together, the conversation dives into how we show up for others during challenging times, the power of people who challenge us, and how a chance commitment to local service can bring an entire community to life. 10 Memorable Quotes: "If there's an opportunity to be part of a conversation about gratitude... sign me up. I'm all for it." "When you understand that your job is to do more than just take a deposit to make a loan—it is to be an integral part of our community—that's when we excel our best." "At the end of the day, that's what we do. I mean, that's our job... we're professional helpers." "I can't force others, I can't change others, but I can have the courage to change how I show up, and the wisdom to know the difference." "If you don't take care of your customers, someone else will." "There are people out there that are willing to give up their time, the most expensive thing we have, and volunteer." "She is my biggest cheerleader. I wouldn't be where I am today without her support." "We want to make sure that we're there for them through the good times and the bad times." "Community is in our name, so we better do it right." "Go thank someone in your life, but do it the inconvenient way. Sit down and write a letter rather than just clicking a button to sending a gift card." 10 Key Takeaways: The Character Test of Leadership: Why surrounding yourself with people who challenge you and say the hard things is infinitely better than building an inner circle of enablers. The Evolution of a Community Banker: Understanding the stark reality of early career growth, where starting as a part-time teller teaches you the foundational value of frontline human interactions. The Power of Behind-the-Scenes Support: Recognizing the profound impact of spouses and loved ones whose quiet, proactive baseline contributions keep leaders grounded and supported. Active Volunteerism vs. Writing a Check: Dealing with the heart-centered shift from merely donating money to physically getting out into the field, proving that true community connection requires active presence. The Value of Leading by Example: Processing the realization that you cannot force a charitable mindset onto others; instead, you must consistently model the behavior to inspire your team. Balancing the Old and the New: Reclaiming the narrative around technological advancement by ensuring digital innovation (like AI) never replaces the human desire to "see and be seen" by someone you trust. Sympathy vs. Presence: Learning that showing up for a community in crisis requires skipping transactional interactions and simply sitting with people to understand their immediate needs. Bypassing the Corporate Script: A look at how unexpected, vulnerable bonds form when leaders choose to skip fiscal policy talk and instead lean directly into conversations about human gratitude. The Inconvenient Path of Gratitude: How breaking past personal convenience to write a handwritten letter rather than sending a digital gift card can fundamentally alter the energy of a relationship. The Micro-Intervention of Trust: How breaking past systemic corporate barriers to prioritize local relationships allows a business to become a true sanctuary for the people it serves. About our Guest: Growing up with a deep appreciation for local connection shaped the foundation of Chris Caldwell's work ethic and sense of purpose. As a dedicated leader in the banking industry with over 30 years of experience, he learned early the value of hard work, resilience, and the tradition of contributing to what you build together. Those early experiences—alongside holding advanced degrees in history from Manchester and Ohio Universities and an MBA from Anderson University—instilled in him a deep appreciation for perseverance, lifelong learning, and creating a meaningful life rooted in community. After entering the financial workforce, Chris discovered a lasting passion for connecting with people within the community banking space across Indiana and Vermont. What began as an early career in commercial banking and business consulting evolved into a fulfilling leadership path, culminating in his role as President and CEO of Community Bancorp and Community National Bank. Dedicated to being both a steward and advocate for the regions he serves, Chris actively believes relationships are at the heart of meaningful work. Outside of his career, he stays involved in his community by serving on the boards of the Green Mountain United Way and Manchester University, championing a culture of gratitude as a core leadership practice, and enjoying life in Newport, Vermont, with his wife Bettie.

While natural language interfaces let operators build custom tracking views quickly, unmanaged tool creation can introduce data compliance errors. Operations leads should track platform usage metrics and pull successful prototypes back into a centralized database environment, giving teams local operational flexibility while preserving overall brand safety and uniform client reporting. Why does data governance act as the primary rate-limiter for enterprise AI tool onboarding?Data governance limits onboarding speed because connecting multi-channel data systems with external AI models introduces data leaks and compliance risks for proprietary brand metrics.Enterprise organizations process massive amounts of first-party consumer files that cannot be uploaded to public models without violating privacy rules. Overcoming this roadblock requires tech directors to construct isolated database connections and clear governance guardrails, ensuring that internal automation speeds do not compromise data privacy.

Architectural Abundance: Tuning Out Market Volatility and Structuring Purposeful Wealth with Chad CoeIn a recent episode of The Thoughtful Entrepreneur Podcast, host Josh Elledge sat down with Chad Coe, the Founder and Owner of COE Financial Group, to dissect the systemic emotional traps that frequently compromise long-term corporate and personal liquidity. Chad, an independent financial architect, seasoned corporate speaker, and professional auctioneer, brings a heart-centered yet highly disciplined philosophy to wealth management and capital preservation. This conversation serves as an essential strategic playbook for high-performing founders, mid-market executives, and entrepreneurial leaders who want to insulate their investment portfolios from sensationalized media noise, align their personal values with their financial infrastructure, and engineer a self-sustaining lifestyle that balances extreme professional velocity with intentional, restorative downtime. The Strategy of Abundance: Fiduciary Governance, Market Arbitrage, and Purposeful Asset AllocationThe primary vulnerability threatening the wealth retention of successful entrepreneurs is rarely a sudden macroeconomic shift, but rather a structural failure to isolate long-term capital preservation from near-term market noise. Chad Coe explains that when business owners react impulsively to sensationalized media headlines, political cycles, or policy fluctuations, they introduce severe transaction friction and emotional volatility into their asset management strategies. True financial optimization demands an unyielding focus on underlying business fundamentals—recognizing that corporate earnings, rather than daily news cycles, are the empirical drivers of equity appreciation over time. By partnering with an independent fiduciary advisor who is legally bound to put the client's interests first, founders can bypass institutional product pushing, minimize fee drag, and design a diversified asset architecture capable of aggressively compounding wealth while neutralizing the erosive toll of inflation on idle cash reserves. To insulate an enterprise or a personal portfolio against shifting industry trends, executive leadership must treat time management and personal networking as strict operational disciplines. Many high-achievers fall into the trap of reactive calendar scheduling, allowing administrative debt to crowd out the strategic peer masterminds and physical hobbies—such as high-level networking dinners or competitive pickleball tournaments—that actively recharge their cognitive capacity. Real-world wealth optimization is unlocked when an executive intentionally blocks out time for these high-leverage relationships, treating personal well-being as critical corporate infrastructure that sharpens real-time decision-making. Applying athletic metaphors to market execution, such as staying prepared and anticipating recurring patterns before they manifest on a balance sheet, enables leaders to maintain an authoritative edge in high-stakes negotiations and capital allocation alike.Furthermore, building an impactful legacy in an increasingly automated marketplace requires thought leaders to systematically deploy media platforms, such as strategic podcasting and intentional corporate philanthropy, to scale their inbound authority networks. Bypassing unverified matching services and focusing ruthlessly on high-quality, authentic storytelling allows founders to cultivate deep trust with prospective clients and cross-functional partners over years. This long-tail visibility strategy converts a leader's personal resilience and unique background into a powerful business development asset that continuously feeds the enterprise pipeline. Ultimately, permanent wealth mastery belongs to the organizations and individuals that treat life design as an engineered blueprint, executing regular gap analyses to align their daily calendars with empirical financial milestones to predictably scale long-term enterprise value.About Chad CoeChad Coe is the Founder and Owner of COE Financial Group, a premier keynote speaker, professional charity auctioneer, and independent wealth strategist. Drawing from a resilient background overcoming early educational challenges to build highly successful financial advisory frameworks, Chad infuses a heart-centered, transparent philosophy into asset allocation. He is a dedicated strategic connector and podcaster focused on helping corporate executives eliminate operational investment anxiety, clarify their core life values, and achieve true financial confidence.About COE Financial GroupCOE Financial Group is an elite independent financial planning and wealth management consultancy designed to help business owners, high-net-worth individuals, and families construct robust investment portfolios. By standardizing internal financial governance, removing emotional friction from asset allocation, and ruthlessly protecting human-centric strategic capacity, business leaders can transform volatile capital into a highly structured, self-sustaining corporate asset.More from The Thoughtful Entrepreneur

Have you ever wondered if the supplements you are taking are actually doing anything for you, or if you are just throwing money away because of social media trends? I dive into the archives to bring you a compilation of real science to stop the confusion around nutrition and fat burners. I interview an industry formulator who shares why a company's underlying philosophy matters more than flashy ingredient lists, and how an innovative delivery mechanism like focus gum can bypass digestion for immediate results. Next, we look at the power of molecular hydrogen water for inflammation, along with major warning signs to watch out for with poorly built machines. Finally, I detail my favorite daily health hacks, including strategic combinations like pairing collagen with vitamin C and managing tough mornings with sleep deprivation strategies. Key takeaways Look for the foundational philosophy and credibility of a supplement company rather than simply shopping for trendy ingredients. Ensure the products you buy undergo verified testing so you know the label claims are accurate. Practice patience and consistency by giving new supplements at least ninety days to build up foundational networks and show true results. Avoid spending money on carb blockers and fat burners, as they rarely deliver the metabolic value they promise. Support mental focus by looking for methods that deliver immediate absorption while keeping the nervous system calm. Boost skin elasticity and joint function by always pairing daily collagen with regular vitamin C. Blunt cognitive decline on sleep-deprived days by utilizing a strategic, larger morning dose of creatine to restore brain energy. Originally airing at the start of the year, this conversation with Alyece Smith—founder of Socially Awesome, neurodivergent entrepreneur coach, and host of the ADHD CEO podcast—is the perfect reality check we all need as we try to navigate summer schedules without completely burning out . In this episode, Alyece and William dive deep into the exhausting ADHD trap of feeling like you constantly have to earn the right to sit down and rest . They unpack the difference between being truly productive and engaging in "fake productivity"—inventing random, low-priority tasks just to keep our brains in overdrive and avoid basic needs . What You'll Learn in This Episode: The "Earned Rest" Trap: Why the ADHD brain struggles to recognize non-business achievements (like household chores) as real work, leading to chronic overworking and severe burnout . Protecting Your "Spark Times": How to map out your day based on your natural biological energy peaks rather than traditional clock-based schedules, saving your best brainpower for things that actually matter . The Power of Voice Dumps: How Alyece uses voice-to-text apps (like VoicePin) to execute a "60-second brain dump" right out of the shower, preventing mid-day context switching and freezing . GRAMMY® Balloted Club Nouveau, Timex Social ClubGrammy Award Balloted singer and music label executive, Jay King, was elected CEO/President of the California Black Chamber of Commerce (CBCC) in June of 2019.GRAMMY® Award Balloted Jay King/Club Nouveau's music & samples have been featured in many TV & Film Soundtracks including the #1 Hit Movie "US" by Director Jordan Peele! "Jealousy" also made an appearance on the soundtrack for the film Modern Girls. "Why You Treat Me So Bad" was interpolated by the hip-hop duo Luniz, on its hit single "I Got 5 on It", and subsequently by rapper/record producer Puff Daddy on his #1 R&B single "Satisfy You".This week, I look at how a brand can stay relevant decade after decade. As a veteran mogul Jay King brings as much humility to the field as he does what has been called his genius. With three decades of continuous achievements in music, management, film/TV/radio, consulting and publishing; King has made an indelible impression. He claims Northern California in general as his hometown due to a nomadic youth spent between many of the Bay Area's cities; as well as Alaska for birthing his career. There was a deep musical undercurrent added to his early years by a clan which boasted a number of ministers, extending from his great-grandfather through a number of cousins, who all played instruments as well. His great uncle, Saunders King, a respected jazz/blues guitarist, offered the West Coast the first family hit in the 1940's—‘The S.K. Blues'—adding to the musical backdrop of King's childhood. In 1986, King starting the independent record label JAY Records to release the Timex Social Club hit ‘Rumors' and ushered in the biggest selling single of 1986 (3.5 million copies) and becoming the #1 R&B single on the Billboard Charts. With a Top 10 single on the Billboard Pop charts for over 56 weeks, King watched his life change as his music became an unprecedented hit. What he'd produced was history-making, as nobody had before taken an R&B song from an indie label to such heights. Although having independently produced, pressed and marketed his own music King was without the money to compete at radio plays and had to be creative with promoting. “There were challenges. You couldn't reach out to stores, and social media didn't exist then so you couldn't let people know with a click of a button that you had something out. You had to get out and hustle. People were making fun of me and laughing because I was out hustling records.” Bypassing traditional methods, King utilized Macola Records because of its position as an indie manufacturer with no association to a major label.Club Nouveau's music is in heavy demand commercially in movies and is sampled in many of today's artists hit makers like Ashanti, Chris Brown and many more. The group is STILL on the scene, performing hundreds of LIVE concert a year & recording NEW music!© 2026 All Rights Reserved© 2026  Building Abundant Success!!Join Me on ~ iHeart Media @ https://tinyurl.com/iHeartBASSpot Me on Spotify: https://tinyurl.com/yxuy23baAmazon Music ~ https://tinyurl.com/AmzBASAudacy:  https://tinyurl.com/BASAud

"It costs you nothing to be respectful, but it will cost you relationships if you assume the worst in other people every time." Former Salesforce Senior Director David Fung joins host Josh Seldin to tackle the ultimate challenge of matrixed organizations: how to get things done when you aren't the boss. David pulls back the curtain on the psychology of human behavior, showing leaders how to move away from command-and-control tactics and step into a culture of high-yielding influence. Josh and David explore the "What's in it for me?" (WIIFM) factor, why flatter organizations require a complete abandonment of corporate egos, and how to successfully hold peers accountable when deadlines slip. From building cross-functional "piggy banks" of trust to dealing with holiday weekend emergencies, this episode provides a sharp, real-world playbook on how to lead effectively using credibility, authentic connection, and strategic relevance. Key Takeaways: ✅ The Authority Fallacy: Why relying on a title or organizational hierarchy to drive priorities results in checked-out teams who only do the bare minimum. ✅ The Influencer Triad: Mastering the three requirements of non-authoritative leadership—establishing deep structural credibility, forging human connection, and maintaining radical relevance. ✅ Bypassing the Transactional Trap: How to stop treating corporate relationships like a fast-food order and start building genuine, proactive rapport across departments. ✅ Uncovering Hidden Leverage: Strategies for finding shared commonalities and collective alignment across seemingly disconnected departmental silos. ✅ Peer-to-Peer Accountability: A live roleplay framework for politely but firmly holding cross-functional colleagues accountable to their commitments through the lens of integrity. ✅ The True Cost of Respect: Understanding how a baseline of humility, transparency, and empathy acts as your most powerful currency for sustainable, long-term career success. Time to do something just for you. When is the last time you made a decision, chose a direction, or said "yes" to something that was entirely, completely just for you? Not for your family, not for your career advancement, and not because it fulfilled a decades-old obligation—but purely for yourself? In this powerful episode, host Laurie Reynoldson challenges high-achieving women to step off the hamster wheel of external validation and confront a heavy midlife reality. If your life looks completely perfect on paper, yet you are still quietly asking, "Is this it?", Laurie reframes this unsettling question not as a crisis, but as a sign that you are finally paying attention. This episode marks the official opening of applications for the Best Life Mastermind, a carefully crafted nine-month experience designed to help you stop performing, start living as one unified woman, and figure out what's next for you.In this episode, you'll learn:The High-Achiever's Blindspot: How we unconsciously tie our self-worth to childhood patterns of performance and external approval. The "One Identity" Philosophy: Why trying to shape-shift into different people for your career, family, and community leads to bone-deep burnout. The Nine-Month Metaphor: Why real personal transformation cannot happen in a 30-day sprint or a 90-day quarter, and why it takes nine months to "birth" a completely new version of yourself. The Power of Group Hot Seats: Why listening to other accomplished women untangle their roadblocks serves as your ultimate personal board of directors. Bypassing the No. 1 Deathbed Regret: Confronting the reality that there are fewer years ahead than behind, and how to find the courage to live a life true to yourself right now. The Big Takeaway: Stop waiting for a "perfect time" or postponing your life until retirement or an empty nest. Hey Team! As many of you know, I have a passion for writing, and so I'm excited that today we are diving deep into that world and why it often feels like an uphill battle when you have an ADHD brain. I'm talking with Susanne Schotanus, an expert ADHD coach who holds the unique distinction of being the world's first dedicated ADHD writing coach, as well as the founder of the annual Basecamp to Brilliance writing summit. Susanne brings a wealth of clinical and practical insight from her years spent coaching everyone from burnt-out university professors to memoirists struggling to organize decades of research. In our conversation today, we discuss why standard linear approaches to writing clash so intensely with our multi-dimensional thinking styles. Susanne explains the mechanics of the "messy middle" in long-term projects, how our constant craving for novelty can derail a draft after just two weeks, and why we might want to reconsider our view of consistency. We also explore practical ways to gamify your workflow and create structural frameworks that adapt to your brain rather than forcing your brain to adapt to them. And while this episode's core focus is on writing, I think there is a lot to get out of this when considering any kind of long-term pursuit. Susanne's Website - https://passionatewritercoaching.com/ Free Guide - https://passionatewritercoaching.com/hackingyouradhd/  If you'd life to follow along on the show notes page you can find that at HackingYourADHD.com/299 YouTube: https://tinyurl.com/y835cnrk Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/HackingYourADHD This Episode's Top Tips Waiting until you magically feel motivated to start a task is a losing game because our brains require action to generate momentum. To trick your brain into gear, lower the barrier to entry by making the first step absurdly small. Writing a single sentence or fixing a minor typo requires almost zero initial effort, but that tiny completion can give your brain the dopamine boost it needs to transition into work mode. Your note-taking and organizational systems are here to serve you, not the other way around. Using a brand new productivity tool for two glorious weeks and then completely losing interest isn't a personal failure; it's just the natural lifespan of a novelty-driven dopamine source. With this in mind, keep your architectures simple, make sure your data is easily exportable, and make it easy if you need to switch tools in the future. ADHD brains run on an system driven by interest, novelty, challenge, urgency, and passion. Most of us default to novelty (which leaves us with a mountain of half-finished projects) or panic-induced urgency (which runs us straight into burnout). To break the cycle and handle long-form projects, start intentionally leaning into the underutilized levers of challenge, gamification, and genuine playfulness.

Financial anxiety is not just a mindset problem. Sometimes it's a reasonable response to real conditions — a volatile economy, rising costs, job insecurity, a savings account that isn't where you wish it were. Telling yourself to "think positive" about money when the fear is grounded in something real doesn't make the fear go away. It just adds a layer of self-gaslighting to an already hard situation. This episode is for anyone whose relationship with money has gotten harder lately — not because of a personal failure, but because the economic climate genuinely warrants some concern. Let's explore what financial anxiety is actually made of, how to separate the signal from the spiral, and how to take grounded action even when the financial picture isn't as clear or stable as you'd like. This isn't about toxic positivity around money. It's about learning to face your financial reality with courage rather than avoidance — and finding what's actually within your control when a lot feels like it isn't.Money fear doesn't have to run the show. I sat down with filmmaker and producer Sophie Power following her trip to the Cannes Film Festival. We discussed her 11-minute experimental documentary short, Whatever A Son Will Always Sing. Bypassing the heavy-handed exposition of traditional documentaries, the film uses professional actors and a dreamscape visual approach to blend fiction with real-life interviews. Sophie spoke with 50 different women about the exact, pivotal moment they were forced to grow up, ultimately weaving together four universal narratives that explore everything from the discomfort of being under a microscope to the sudden awareness of danger that shatters childhood bliss. Her goal was to dismantle the shame that often shrouds these collective female experiences, offering a platform where they can be spoken loudly and frankly. Sophie's background spans from a lifelong obsession with human stories and visual art to working on high-profile archival projects. Before directing her own work, she lent her production and research talents to major documentary teams—including assisting Motto Pictures on a Sundance film about the iconic singer Selena Quintanilla-Perez, and serving as a production coordinator for the Stephen Hawking documentary Hawking: Can You Hear Me? Can you truly protect your assets if a third party controls your data? The Global Circular Bitcoin Economy Summit in El Zonte just wrapped up, and the focus on the ground was centered entirely on the raw, unyielding mechanics of financial survival and digital sovereignty rather than price action or trading charts. This week, we are cutting straight through the fiat marketing noise to talk to the world-class builders who are physically constructing parallel, decentralized, un-surveillable systems right now.First, we sit down with Renata Rodrigues (@renatarodr) from Fedi to unpack why digital privacy is a complete necessity in an era of tightening global surveillance. Renata breaks down how the Fedi wallet and the open-source Fedimint protocol are giving localized communities the tools to completely break free from centralized platforms like Telegram or WhatsApp. We look directly into how combining encrypted chat with shared financial custody allows any group to establish its own autonomous federation. This gives sovereign individuals total control over what data they choose to reveal to the outside world, and we track exactly how these systems are scaling globally, from the closed-loop nodes defying bans in Indonesia to the intense intellectual proof of work required by communities in South Korea. Then, Daniel (@wph_merida) from Bitcoin Merida joins us to map out why true local adoption has to integrate with local geography, native culture, and the ultimate goal of absolute, off-grid self-sufficiency. Daniel pulls back the curtain on the massive legal and structural undertaking behind the INAH Citadel, which is a 230-acre intentional community built deep in the Mexican jungle of Yucatan, alongside their local urban hub, the White Paper House. We break down exactly how their team established a secure Fideicomiso trust structure to handle real estate transactions, how they are leveraging local tourism to empower nearby Mayan agricultural schools, and the wild story behind a massive private cenote that secures total water independence for the citadel. We cover a massive amount of ground in these conversations, including the deployment of private community wallets, zero-custody financial tools, the twelve-book entry requirement for Bitcoin South Korea, the legal architecture for buying property in Mexico, and integrating solar grids for alternative energy independence. If you are ready to stop waiting for permission, achieve true self-sufficiency, and learn how to build a resilient Bitcoin circular economy that can withstand state overreach, make sure to subscribe, leave a comment, and share this episode because your support helps us bring more of these underground stories to light. We can't keep turning a blind eye to e-commerce skimming. It's a real threat that demands real attention—regardless of how compliance checklists evolve. Eighteen months ago, our panel met to break down the rollout of PCI DSS requirements 6.4.3 and 11.6.1. Now, one year after PCI v4.0, we're looking at the data-backed reality of how these requirements are actually playing out in the field. With the recent industry transitions to PCI DSS v4.0.1, clarifications surrounding the boundaries between parent web pages and third-party iframes have created a dangerous side effect: "Checkbox Blindness." Many organizations are misinterpreting these adjustments to mean that script monitoring is effectively optional if a payment iframe is in place. But treating client-side security as a text-only compliance loophole ignores a harsh forensic reality—attackers don't care about scoping boundaries. In this follow-up episode, host Jen Stone sits down with a full house of SecurityMetrics experts—Gary Glover (VP of Assessment), Chad Horton (VP of Technology), and Aaron Willis (VP of Forensic Investigation)—to cut through the regulatory noise. [This episode originally aired on July 18, 2023]  Someone recently asked me, “Am I spiritually bypassing?” •  I took that term to mean using one's practice or spiritual path as an escape, or relief, from the responsibilities of regular life in this world  •  it is a relief in a way, to take a break from the relentless struggles of daily life  •  is it possible to practice meditation in a way that's not bypassing all of that, while at the same time recognizing the need to have some relief from the relentlessness of life?  •  I think there is actually a parallel, or opposite, form of bypassing, something I would label “material bypassing”—avoiding our own spirituality our spiritual yearnings and insights by keeping busy and constantly occupying ourselves with an endless stream of worldly concerns  •  the challenge is to find some way of being skillfully and wholeheartedly engaged in both your life and your meditation practice—appreciating that we need to take a break from worldly concerns, but then we need to re-energize and engage fully in the world again.

The Winds of Winter is still a distant dream for incarcerated fantasy fans, but our episode on Soderbergh's 2017 NASCAR caper LOGAN LUCKY is coming to you on schedule. We brought back our friend, and rebel among San Diego film critics, Glenn Heath Jr. to discuss how Ocean's 7-Eleven combines Soderbergh's impatience with conventional film production, his visions of an incongruous South, and his preternatural flair for heist movies. It might be a live-action cartoon or it might be serious American Regionalism. We lay it all out for you in what Sebastian Stan has called "the dirtiest air of all." Do you want to clearly express who you are, process your feelings and emotions, and be able to engage with the world in a way that is grounded but also clear, meaningful, and purposeful? This week, we move from the fluid, emotional depths of the sacral into the Heart Chakra—the sacred bridge between our physical reality and our highest consciousness. Right now, we are collectively being asked to move from the "Human Doing" back into the "Human Being." In this episode of Soul Sessions, Amanda explores how the heart is far more than just a center for kindness; it is an electromagnetic powerhouse and the gateway to 5th Dimensional energy. When we clear the heart, we stop living from our conditioning and start living from our essence, allowing manifestation to click into place with multi-dimensional speed. This episode explores: The Bridge Between Worlds: Understanding the heart as the meeting place between your lower physical chakras and your upper spiritual centers. The Paradox of Expansion: Why touching your deepest pain and suppressed sadness is the exact key to experiencing infinite love and oneness. Human Being vs. Human Doing: Shifting from the "administration" of your life to the legacy of your soul. Why are you really here? The DNA of the Heart: The physical connection between the heart’s anatomy, your DNA, and how breathing into your chest clears the pineal gland to activate intuition. Breaking Time and Space: How to recognize those "glitch in the matrix" moments of pure bliss where the 5D frequency takes over. Clearing the Log Jam: How to identify ancestral, karmic, and genetic conditioning that manifests as tension in the ribs, lungs, and thoracic spine. The Witness Effect: The science of "Paying it Forward" and why witnessing kindness provides a bigger energetic spike than even receiving it. WORK WITH THIS EPISODE For the next 7 days, focus on the bridge of your Heart Chakra: The 4-Second Inhalation: Inhale deeply through your nose for 4 seconds. Feel your chest expand and visualize your spinal fluid traveling from your sacrum up into your brain, washing your pineal gland and clearing the "log jam." Body Awareness: Notice any tightness in your intercostal muscles (between the ribs), shoulder blades, or chest. When you feel tension, acknowledge the emotion behind it—whether it’s sadness or joy—without bypassing it. Acts of High Frequency: Perform one random act of kindness with "no strings attached." Notice how the energetic exchange shifts your frequency and the frequency of those who witness it. Visualize Emerald Green: During your morning routine, envision a vibrant green light (Jade or Emerald) emanating from your chest, acting as a signal to the field that you are open to receive and ready to lead from love. Reclaim your agency and authority by standing in your truth—whether that is the weight of sadness or the radiance of joy. By refusing to bypass your emotions, you bridge the gap to the mystical and the otherworldly. Embrace your frequency, live it honestly, and watch how it transforms everything you touch! The Great Reset is in play. The narratives are forcing two general outcomes... polarization and apathy. Increasingly the public square is consumed by the polarized extremes, creating an echo chamber that sounds like a voice of the majority. This is all by design with the result of pulling the nation farther from God and the moral through-line of peace. #BardsFM_Morning #DivisionAndPolarization #TheHeartOfPeace Bards Nation Health Store: www.bardsnationhealth.com MYPillow promo code: BARDS >> Go to https://www.mypillow.com/bards and use the promo code BARDS or... Why does knowing we overthink not help us stop? Dr. Rick and Forrest discuss why rumination becomes a self-reinforcing habit,  and why insight alone rarely helps. They distinguish between rumination and reflection, and talk about how balancing acceptance and agency can help us go from one to the other. Forrest talks about the relationship between overthinking and feelings of disappointment and failure, and Rick shares practical ways to interrupt the cycle, shift into more concrete forms of problem-solving, and finally stop ruminating.
