Convocati Beppe Severgnini e Maurizio De Giovanni.

Yo dawg, we hear you like video game music and vinyl records and video game music on vinyl records and memes from 2008. So we put some video game music on vinyl records so you can vid-- Okay anyway, we're back! Hello! This week, Anthony and Jeremy tackle the topic as a twosome, bringing you some great tunes and talk as we spin a special spread from our vinyl collections. First, Anthony takes us back to a cult PS1 favorite with the Xenogears -SHINKAKU- compilation, with arranged versions of the original soundtrack, including its "Creid" and "Myth" interpretations. We discuss the trajectory of composer Yasunori Mitsuda and the shearing point between old- and new-school music. Jeremy chimes in with an exploration of the "drum & bass" music scene with the Forza Horizon 4: Hospital Records soundtrack. The diegetic radio station provides some very "racy" music for the game, and we learn about the entire genre, from drumfunk to jumpstep, and hear what Hospital Records brings to the world of vinyl on their glow-in-the-dark release. For our final segment we discuss our updated wishlists for 2019, and we have a special play-with-the-hosts invitation for our listeners! Remember to hit us up on Twitter and comment below if you'd like to explore the luxurious gluttony of Dragon's Crown with Anthony and Jeremy! Dale and Jeremy are holding down the news this week, and there's a load of it! We're still going to hit that 30-minute GameBytes Show sweet spot though, so hang on! We discuss the final outcome of Vivendi x Ubisoft, Sony makes a big reversal which may affect the broader medium of video games, events are canceled, IPs renewed, trademarks registered, and everybody is thirsty. Plus, we lay out the beginning of "the season" with new releases, and we clutch our pearls at scandals we have known in video games. In the 9th episode of The Scotland Show, I talk about what it's like to be Scottish when the World Cup is on, who I'll be supporting during the world cup and Scotland's drinking problem. I wouldn't be surprised if the World Cup and drinking problem was related, ha!
A British trio of hosts chat about their experiences with the PSVita, their return to PC Gaming via Tony and how Mass Effect 3 multiplayer demo gave a little too much away prior to the full games release.Running time: 01:58:36
Last week was very much a return to the older days of SHFTS, with the founding hosts reprising their roles behind the mic. This week we are ringing in the changes by having a full roster of hosts that have been brought in as new additions to the show. Tara Nelson AKA Terabyt3, Tony Atkins AKA Ghostworld and Mike Barton AKA Radarhead have taken on the reins of SHFTS with aplomb as they share their thoughts on the gaming week past. Their topics meander from the addictive qualities of MMOs to how IONs iCade cabinet does not really measure up as far as Tara is concerned. In terms of the news, Double Fine is celebrating its success with the Kickstarter campaign, David Jaffe leaving Eat Sleep Play, and Blizzard suing Valve over the use of the name DOTA. Running time: 01:42:15
Hendrix chats about the ending of the second SHFTS Forza 4 racing series and gripes over how poor the game is due to badly implemented racing management and how people should buy Freespace 2 over Sol Exodus. BloodShot Robot shares his thoughts on the PS Vita he imported and sings its praises in the process. Tara talks about her time with Saints Row the Third DLC and Chris expands on his experiences with Soul Calibur V and Twisted Metal. SWTOR also features in the conversion, with interesting stories about opposing faction players invading instances. In the news we marvel at BioWare patching a book on Mass Effect, Atari arcade developers making iOS games, THQ burdened with unsold uDraw devices, Dark Souls developer apologising over poor frame rates and Zynga not caring one jot that it copies games made by small independent studios. Running time: 01:51:09
We start the show with the announcement that Mike Barton from GameOverCast has joined the SHFTS roster of show hosts. He chats about his time with the demo of Kingdom of Amalur and he found it to be somewhat wanting, much like Tony and Chris who also had issues with it. Tara is too busy stabbing people in the back during PvP matches on Star Wars the Old Republic to care though. In the news we cover Alienware releasing a small form factor PC that is the size of an Xbox 360 only 6 times more expensive. We also discuss THQ denying that it is in trouble, Amy developer defending its game, Ubisoft having ridiculous DRM for Anno 2070 and the Xperia Play not selling so well in the face of stiff competition from Samsung and HTC. Running time: 02:06:17
Star Wars the Old Republic sinks its teeth into Alphabox as he even plays the blasted game while we are recording the show. He also chatted about his time with a Star Wars Arcade Trilogy Cabinet while he was on vacation. Forza 4 drives in with an update on the second racing series and also chats about how he overheard some poor fellow trying to play Civ V when he had never played a Civ game before. The board game Mage Knight comes in for some scathing criticism while Netflix arriving in the UK is declared to be TV and Film mana from heaven. New host Leon talks us through Uncharted 3 and Astro Boy Omega Factor on the GBA of all things. He makes a sale for the makers of Wheres My Water as Alphabox buys the iOS game while Leon chats about it. Dark Souls chat also gets a look in with Leon enthusing over the game and Alphabox giving tips on how to play with your friends in it cooperatively. In the news we cover the lack of online multiplayer for Modnation Racers on PS Vita, Bethesda gaining the rights to make a Fallout MMO, builders of Xbox 360 consoles wanting to commit suicide, Diablo 3 heading to consoles, and EA being hit with the lawyer hammer over the use of Bell helicopters in Battlefield 3.Running time: 01:37:02
With the beginning of 2012 bringing with it a brand new season of SHFTS, we chat about the same blasted games we have been harping on about for the past few weeks. Sorry about that folks. For yes we do talk about Skyrim and Star Wars the Old Republic. We do get distracted with Pullblox on 3DS and Rayman Origins though, so it is not us banging on and on about Skyrim again. But hey, it is a fine game and we are huge fans of it here in SHFTS Towers. The same goes for SWTOR and its ability to entertain, despite the trappings of it being an MMO. We also cover details of the second SHFTS Forza 4 series and how Tara had to rebuild her PC to play SWTOR.In the news we chat about a device that allow you to download image of ROMS for SNES and Megadrive to your computer of choice and play games via an emulator. Yes this is legal apparently. Running time: 01:48:22
This is the last episode of Season 4 of the SuperHappyFunTimeShow and with it, we bring 2011 to a close, and what a year it has been! Many citing it as one of the best years in video games in a very long time. Tara and Chris go through what they thought was the good, bad and ugly in terms of video game releases over the past 12 months and also look to the future. Why not share your thoughts on how 2011 turned out and indeed what 2012 is to have in store for us. Will it match the glories of 2011? Only time will tell as well as some misguided analysts. Running time: 01:19:10
We start off with the report on the last race of the first SHFTS Forza 4 racing series. Derrick H of Dead Pixel Live won the race and the series, so well done him. Another series will be starting up in the new year and we have spaces left for it, so if you want to sign up, please go to the SPOnG forums. Next we have Hendrix sharing his joy at the experiences he has had with the new Battlefield 3 map pack, Return to Karkand that was released this week. Alphabox clearly needs and intervention as all he plays right now is Skyrim and even then he is only hunting down books within the game world, terribly sad really. Kropotkin swoops in to the rescue with his experiences in the newly released Star Wars The Old Republic MMO and the joys of playing SNES games on his Wii via the Virtual Console on his SNES controller that cost a whopping 7000 stars. Tara tells of how she is becoming an Axe-person via Rocksmith while Tony chats about Vanquish and the retro video game Christmas party he held last week.In news we cover Metal Gear Solid Rising being replaced with a game that has a non-word in it, Iran making an anti-Semite video game, Microsoft taking 25 days to recover hacked XBL accounts and Google shutting down an FPS that uses Googlemaps streetview. Running time: 01:46:10
Chris starts off with his obsession over all things pinball related, especially when it comes to Pinball FX. It is getting so bad this man should think about buying shares in the developer. He has Pinball FX games on his PS3, Xbox 360, iPad and now 3DS. He chats about how the 3D actually helps with gameplay and the fact that he is better at the 3DS version than any other due to the fact that it is slower. Forza 4 also gets a look in with the SHFTS racing series still going strong. Mario Kart 7 is also discussed and is deemed a worthy addition to the series, but not the best.Tara chats about her time in Skyrim as a leader of the thieves guild and also makes positive noises about Black Adders series 2 to 4. She is less charitable about the film Troll 2 however. In the news we cover OnLive launching on Android based devices, people blocking ads in XBL, Shigeru Miyamoto not retiring and all XBox 360 dashboard apps needing to support Kinect. Running time: 01:05:30
We open up with talk on Fusion Genesis, not Fusion Galaxy as we call it during the show and marvel at its depth and complexity, especially considering the fact that it is a two-stick shooter. Tony shares his experience with Skyrim by explaining how he effectively broke the game while Alphabox plays a Cabela title, all thanks to advertising during Monday Night Football. We sign off with news that includes another PS Vita story. By way of reaction, a challenge is made to play Mr Beans Wacky World Wii game. The hosts however could not think of a challenge to take up on this, so they asked the listenership to provide one. Email your suggestions in at mailbag at shfts dot com. Running time: 01:21:13
This week Kropotkin, Alphabox, Hendrix and Tara share their adventures in the land of Skyrim. This includes giant baiting and should not be missed. Krop and Hendrix chat about their experiences with Star Wars the Old Republic and declare it to be very entertaining, despite the MMO shackles it is burdened with. Alpha finishes Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 and finds it to be an entertaining romp. He does not rate the multiplayer when compared to Battlefield though, much like everybody else. Tara tells of her struggle between playing Saints Row the The Third and Skyrim and she feels very torn. We sign off with news on a console port of Diablo 3 and I Am Alive not coming to the PC.Running time: 01:24:33
Neil, Tara and Chris are the hosts of this weeks SHFTS, and we start off with a chat about how crazy Skyrim can be when you get chased down by a giant. We also have a discussion on the Halo remake, Zelda Skyward Sword and the SHFTS Forza 4 racing series that started this week. Assassins Creed also gets a look in along with the question over whether or no video games are art. Yes, we went there. We end with gaming news which included stories on Skyrim game saves ruining the game on the PS3, Minecraft finally coming out and Torchlight 2 being delayed. Running time: 01:53:59
Chris and Tony chat about their experience at Replay Expo in Blackpool while Neil tells us how he has finished off Rage The Witcher and is now considering moving on to the Witcher 2. Tara has a dabble with the indie games section on XBLA and gets more than a little burned by Dark Delve. We also cover details on how you can take part in the SHFTS Forza 4 racing series. We finish off with gaming news that includes stories on subscription falls for World of Warcraft and Sony charging people to transfer their UMD PSP games onto the Vita. Running time: 02:11:57
Hendrix likes Battlefield 3 a lot. Certainly a lot more than his digestive system does for White Castle burgers. Alphabox shares his experiences with Dark Souls briefly before he goes off to pick up a second hand Xbox 360 steering wheel. Tara meanwhile is squealing over the news that there is to be a new Rainbow 6 game. Running time: 01:06:25

With BloodShot Robot gone the crew do their best to cheer themselves up, only to make themselves feel even worse by regaling each other about the experiences they had with Ace Combat Assault Horizon. For that game does little to progress the long running franchise as Hendrix is so very quick to point out. It is not all bad however, as Forza 4 proves to be a tad more worthwhile to spend ones time on, at least that is according to resident petrol head, Mr Hendrix. Running time: 01:55:59
Hedlund, Berglöf och Bengtsson gästas idag av Peter Kjellin och Ina Bäckström. Det luktar episkt.

Running time: 02:38:21
PAX 2011 has come and gone and it was a blast. Listen to Hendrix, BloodShot Robot and Kropotkin shoot the breeze about what they saw there as well as their exploits outside of the show floor. We also have a very special announcement to make concerning the show, so do please listen. Running time: 02:08:12
Kropotkin returns from his travels in LALA Land while gawping at things at E3 and we have a special guest in the form of Tara from The Most Popular Girls on the Internet, where can this show go wrong? Well it fails to, so there. Anyway we discuss the delights of Child of Eden on Kinect and how Hendrix is still suffering from brain farts following his continued fasting of all things caffeine related. We also chat about what Kropotkin saw and played with at E3 including the PSVita and WiiU. So do listen, you may even find it vaguely entertaining. Running time: 01:28:13
Lots of juicy Forza Motorsport 4 details were revealed at E3, so PsEG, Pax, and Slowbird gather up to drool over the new revelations! We talk a little bit about E3 and Forza 3, but otherwise, Forza 4's the star of this show.
