On the surface, 2016 was a successful year for the Noles. 10 wins and a victory over Michigan in the Orange Bowl. Redshirt Freshman QB Deondre Francois threw for over 3300 yards and had 20 touchdowns. Dalvin Cook had one of the greatest offensive seasons ever when he picked up 1,765 yards on the ground (a school record) and had 19 rushing touchdowns. The team was heading into 2017 with one of the best recruiting classes in the nation, a game against Alabama to start the season, and all eyes were set on the College Football Playoff. Given what we know now, there were some giant warning signs about Florida State Football throughout the 2016 season.
