For this album, James Newton Howard created eight suites that are piano-centric and include new and original material. Pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet performs throughout the recording. Violinist Hilary Hahn recreates her contributions to the soundtrack recording of the score for The Village, and cellist Maya Beiser reprises her performance of “An Event” from The Happening soundtrack. Gavin Greenaway conducts the orchestra and chorus in Howard's new arrangements.TRACKLIST:1. Signs: The Cornfield2. Signs: After You Were Born3. Signs: Hand of Fate4. The Village: Morning5.

What does that feel like to fully feel our freedom within the captivity of our body? With Movement Medicine Dance Nashville, it is my desire to hold the space, co-creating with you a place where we can do exactly this! Where we can use the container to go soooo deep, soooo wide, sooo expansive - where the creative, orgasmic joy energy is free to open up and explore this realm. John shares how he fell into the film music path, how he met Hans Zimmer and reflects on his collaborations with Gavin Greenaway, Hans Zimmer and Harry Gregson-Williams. From his thematic process, the source of his signature percussion sound, his views on film music today and how to draw emotion from real-life experiences we cover it all. We also dive into How To Train Your Dragon 2 to explore the process of scoring such a beloved sequel to a film and score that became very special to millions of people. John also talks about his reasons for spending time away from scoring, including a concert piece he's working on as well as possible plans to revisit his old scores for a new album. The film that everyone was ready to hate is now out and has come under the Back To The Podcast microscope. Today we are looking at Robocop. This film has certainly surprised a lot of people. We were ready to kill whoever decided to remake such a loved sci-fi classic from the 80s, but this one has appeared to have come good. I wouldn't classify this a remake, it focuses on different morals and ethics that the first one didn't. This film isn't really an action film, instead a conflict between the two characters of Alex Murphy and Robocop, (both played by Joel Kinnaman). We also wowed by the fantastic selection of supporting actors who include Gary Oldman, Michael Keaton, Samuel L. Jackson, Abbie Cornish, Jay Baruchel and Zach Grenier. Quite a juicy selection I hope you'll agree. This film was certainly surprising. Enjoy!!!
