Haarithah ibn Nu'umaan ibn Nafee Al Nasari (ra) The Messenger ﷺ said, I have grown shy from Haarithah (ra) because of the dwellings he gave up for us (Ibn Sa'd Tabaqat). "The 2 men who were the kindest to their mothers are Uthmaan ibn Afaan (ra) and Haaritha ibn Nu'u'maan (ra). As for Uthmaan (ra), he has not been able to look at his mother since the day he embraced Islaam. Whilst as for Haaritha ibn Nu'u'maan (ra), he would delouse his mother's hair and fed her with his hand. Jibreel (as) speaks of Haaritha (ra), He is from the 80 men who persevered on the Day of Hunayn, their provision and that of their children is in paradise (Ahmed, Musnad).

Hadrat Abdullah ibn Amr ibn Al Aas (ra) Session 51 65 AH - Abdullah (ra) Departs the world Abdullah ibn Amr (ra) added, "What The Messenger ﷺ predicted about me happened. When I became old, I (then earnestly) wished I had accepted the recommendations of The Messenger ﷺ (Bukhari). He who has no Faith is not trustworthy (Ahmad). A Brief Bio... Thus passed away Hadrat Abdullah ibn Amr (ra) the son of one of the righteous of the Quraysh and the most honoured of the righteous family (raa), The one devoutly obedient to his parents, The nephew of Hadrat Hishaam (ra) and father of Hadrat Waahib (ra), Recorder of both the Divine Revelations, Owner of As-Saahifatus Saadiqah, Haafiz of the Sunnah, The most prolific narrator of Ahaadeeth, Scholar of the 2 Sacred Books the Torah and the Qur 'aan, The one to whom Jibreel (as) returned the Salaam and the one who heard the zikr of this worldly fire, Veteran of the countless Glorious Campaigns of Ash-Shaam, Egypt and Africa, The one who would initially Fast every day - but then reduced to alternate days, The one who would offer Tahajjud all night - but then reduced to a portion of the night and the one who would recite the entire Quran every night-but then reduced its completion to 3-7 days, The performer of countless Haijis, The exceedingly generous and profuse weeper which ultimately led to him becoming blind.
يا مَن سَرَيْتَ لَيْلًا مُصاحِبَ جِبْرِيلَ | Oh you who journeyed by night, accompanied by Jibreel by Al-Maqasid
Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh!Today is the 27th of Rajab, a date that is significant in the Islamic history. It is the date that Rasulullah went on a miraculous journey called al-Isra' wal Mi'raj. To commemorate that, today's post will be free for all.Welcome to Day 27 of the BeQuranic 2025 Challenge! Today, we reflect on ayah 27 of Surah Al-Mulk. But before we begin, let's take a moment to acknowledge the date: 27th of Rajab. This is the day traditionally believed to mark the miraculous journey of Isra' wal Mi'raj—a powerful reminder of prayer as our direct connection to Allah.BeQuranic is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber. The miraculous journey of Isra' wal Mi'raj came at a critical moment in Rasulullah ﷺ's life, during the Year of Sorrow (Aam al-Huzn). He had recently lost two of his strongest pillars of support:• Sayyidatuna Khadijah (RA): His beloved wife, confidante, and the first believer in his mission. She was the emotional bedrock of his life and da'wah.• Abu Talib: His uncle, protector, and shield against the Quraysh's physical harm and assassination attempts. The Prophet ﷺ faced mounting hostility in Mecca, rejection in Ta'if, and what seemed like a roadblock in his mission. At this juncture, Allah provided spiritual solace through this miraculous journey. The Gift of Salah: A Timeless ConnectionAmong the most significant outcomes of Mi'raj was the direct gift of Salah—five daily prayers—given by Allah without the mediation of Jibreel. Unlike other obligations that came through revelation on earth, Salah was delivered during this divine meeting, emphasizing its centrality in our faith.Salah as a SolutionRasulullah ﷺ faced external challenges—opposition, rejection, and grief—yet Allah provided him with an internal solution. Instead of armies or material aid, Allah gave him a direct means of communication: prayer.• Salah is our daily mi'raj, a spiritual ascent that allows us to connect directly with Allah, no matter where we are or what we face.• It teaches us that when life becomes overwhelming, the first step is to turn inward, strengthen our connection with Allah, and seek His guidance through prayer. The AyahAllah says:فَلَمَّا رَأَوۡهُ زُلۡفَةٗ سِيٓـَٔتۡ وُجُوهُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَقِيلَ هَٰذَا ٱلَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِۦ تَدَّعُونَ“But when they see it approaching, the faces of the disbelievers will turn gloomy, and it will be said, ‘This is what you used to call for!'”Context and MeaningThis ayah concludes the conversation between the Quraysh and Rasulullah ﷺ, where they mockingly questioned the Day of Judgment:“When is this promise (of Qiyamah), if you are truthful?”Allah responds by describing the scene when Qiyamah is finally upon them:1. “When they see it approaching…”• The disbelievers will see the terrifying signs of Qiyamah drawing near.2. “…the faces of the disbelievers will turn gloomy.”• Their mockery and arrogance will be replaced with dread and despair.3. “…and it will be said: ‘This is what you used to call for!'”• They will be reminded of their own mockery, but at that moment, belief or regret will have no value.Lessons from the Ayah1. Faith Before It's Too Late• Allah gave us intellect, hearing, and sight to reflect on His signs and embrace faith before we see Jahannam with our eyes.• Waiting until death or the Day of Judgment to believe is too late.2. Life Is a Test of Trust• The test isn't in seeing and believing but in trusting Allah's guidance and preparing for the unseen reality.3. Mockery Reveals Arrogance• The Quraysh mocked the Prophet ﷺ, but their arrogance blinded them from the truth.• In life, dismissing reminders or belittling the deen often stems from the same arrogance.Connecting to Isra' wal Mi'rajThe 27th of Rajab reminds us of the gift of Salah—a direct line to Allah. What's fascinating is that at a time when Rasulullah ﷺ faced immense external challenges (the Year of Sorrow), Allah gave him a spiritual tool rather than an immediate worldly solution.• Prayer is Our Mi'raj: Salah elevates us spiritually, just as the Mi'raj elevated Rasulullah ﷺ.• Internal Solutions for External Problems: Fixing our internal connection with Allah strengthens us to face life's challenges.Practical Takeaways1. Evaluate Your Salah• Are you praying all five daily prayers? If not, make this your priority.• If you're praying, focus on praying on time and improving your khushu' (concentration).2. Turn to Allah Immediately• Don't delay repentance or self-improvement. If you struggle with a sin or weakness, start addressing it today.3. Strengthen Relationships• Life is short. If there's friction with family or loved ones, mend those relationships before it's too late.Final ThoughtThis ayah is a stark reminder: Don't wait until Qiyamah to believe or change. The time to act is now.As we reflect on the lessons from Isra' wal Mi'raj, let's remember the incredible gift of Salah and ensure it's central in our lives. Pray, reflect, and improve.Jazakum Allahu Khairan for joining me today. See you tomorrow, inshaAllah! Wassalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. This is a public episode. Hadrat Abdullah ibn Amr ibn Al Aas (ra) Session 11 By The Pen That Records! This is our Register speaking about you in truth. Indeed we have been replicating whatever you do, Surah Jathiyah 45:29. Thus reflect, can replication be done then except for a matter that has already been settled? (Tirmidhi). Speaking ignorantly about Qadr is postponed now and will be done by the worst people of my Ummah in later generations (Bazzar). I fear for my Ummah after me the denial of Qadr and belief in the stars (Abu Ya'laa). Whilst sitting with The Messenger ﷺ, Abdullah ibn Amr (ra) felt a Bliss which he never felt before (Abu Nu'aym). Jibreel (as), Abdullah ibn Amr (ra) & The Messenger ﷺ sit together (Tabarani). Abdullah (ra) knew Syriac (Ibn Sa'd- Tabaqaat).

It's revealed in 7 recitals to make matters easy' (Tirmidhi). The Quran is sent as a guardian over the previous scriptures, hence its The Criterion. Jibreel (as) informs The Messenger ﷺ to recite The Verse of Honour Surah 17 v111 in times of difficulty. Elaborate designs in creation in due proportion, [birds of prey, microbes]. Surah Al-Qadr (القدر) is the 97 chapter of the Qur'an. The surah titled in English means “The Power” and it consists of 5 verses.Surah Qadr is also referred to as “power of fate” and it celebrates the night which the first verses of the Qur'an were revealed by Jibreel. This surah also describes significance of Laylat al-Qadr which is the “night of decree” or “night of power” which happens during the last 10 nights of Ramadan, typically an odd-numbered night. The night of Qadr is the night in which the Quran was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (SAW). The word ‘Qadr' means “power.” On this night, Allah exhibits his power over everything and is the sole provider. As a result, Laylatul Qadr is an important night in Muslims' calendars. This surah focuses on the “Night of Ordainment,” also known as Laylat al-Qadr, one of three auspicious nights that occur throughout Ramadan. In reality, Allah Almighty revealed the whole of the Quran to Prophet Muhammad (SAW) throughout the night. On this night, Allah Almighty also gives his final approval to all that has transpired over the year. According to Allah Almighty's explanation in this surah, angels will descend to earth on this night to offer believers with peace that will remain till the break of morning. As a result, one night is more significant than a thousand months combined.إِنَّآ أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ فِى لَيْلَةِ ٱلْقَدْرِ1. Inna anzalnahu fee laylati alqadri1. Indeed, ˹it is˺ We ˹Who˺ sent this ˹Quran˺ down on the Night of Glory.وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ2. Wama adraka ma laylatu alqadri2. And what will make you realize what the Night of Glory is?لَيْلَةُ ٱلْقَدْرِ خَيْرٌ مِّنْ أَلْفِ شَهْرٍ3. Laylatu alqadri khayrun min alfi shahrin3. The Night of Glory is better than a thousand months.تَنَزَّلُ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ فِيهَا بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهِم مِّن كُلِّ أَمْرٍ4. On this week's episode, I highlight and honor the Greensboro Four: Jibreel Khazan, Joseph McNeil, Franklin McCain and David Richmond. Sixty-four years ago these four African American college freshman sat down at a place where African Americans were not allowed to sit. Their act of non-violent protest and the publicity they received ignited a national sit-in movement, that initiated desegregation actions and laws. I wanted to learn the names of the Greensboro Four and learn how their lives had unfolded since their 1960 college days. Thank you Jibreel, Joseph, Franklin and David. I am glad to know you by name. I am sorry for the hatred and discrimination you experienced, leading up to your protest and in the years that followed. I honor you, respect you and express my sincere gratitude for your courageous, inspiring legacy. Enjoy the podcast! Links: IG: Bakari Sellers

5 ADVICE FROM JIBREEL WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE
Why Angel Jibreel is Special to Allah? - Dr. Omar Suleiman
There are two type of worship: 1. worship other than Allah 2. Worship for Allah Worship other than Allah is incorrect and if the person does so then they will be committing shirk. This worship is not established upon logic nur upon the text ( Quran and Sunnah). If a person accepts that it's Allah who created him, provided and give him everything , so therefore this necessitates that they should dedicate all his worship for Allah alone. Additionally, It is not found in the text (i.e the Quran and sunnah) that any form of worship should be dedicated to other than Allah. Rather we find the opposite that we should dedicate ALL our worship to Allah and NOT dedicate it to other than him. If person dedicate their worship other than Allah then this person is arrogant and he is under the threat of Allahs punishment. The intellect is not the only means for coming to the truth The texts are upon completion /perfection The intellect is a tool used in reaching the truth Asking of Allah is from Imaan. The creation becomes fatigued when they are asked, wheres Allāh command us to Ask Him continuously The Shayatin come to a person and try to cause them to despair, as this makes a person easier for them to misguide. Supplicate to Alläh & do not rely solely on the means "So do not fear them, but fear Me if you are truly believers” 5:23 The people of Imaan have been warned of having fear (of a worship) towards the creation Fervent Desire - Raghbah Fear - Khawf All of the previously mentioned forms of worship are for Allah alone, so anyone that directs them to other than Him has committed Shirk/ Disbelief 2nd Principle / Foundation knowledge of the religion of Islam with it's proofs Those who seek to reject the da'wah try to throw doubt upon the one that is calling This is because they cannot refute the truth. The Hadith of Jibreel covers the foundations of the Deen (Islam, Imaan, Ihsaan) General: What the prophets and messengers called to Specific: The Deen which was brought by way of the Prophet (salallāhu ‘alaihi wasallam) Surrender to Allah by way of tawhid, submission to him by way of obedience, and freeing oneself from shirk and the people of shirk. Entering into Istam requires affirmation and negation Affirmation - Tawhid & Submission Negation - Shirk & it's people To Allāh belongs all praise for all the blessings that we cannot enumerate It is upon every single muslim to freeing oneself from the sin & the sinner, must hate the sin and the sinner. Those who are upon shink are enemies to Allah, His Prophets, and His Deen. Therefore, it is upon us to hate them due to this enmity that they have. You cannot hold the rights of the creation in high regard while disregarding those of the Creator.

This week's Urban Valor episode features Army Sergeant First Class, Umar Arrastia. As of this interview, he's served 23 years in the National Guard with the last 13 years being on active duty. Umar talks about his experience in the Army and being overseas in combat, however, he wanted to speak mostly about his late son, Jibreel Arrastia, who passed away in 2020 while enlisted in the Navy. Umar was out celebrating the completion of a course he attended for the Army when he received a phone call from his wife telling him Jibreel had taken his life. This tragic incident left Umar seeking answers to what drove his son into such a dark place with no clear signs of him being in distress.Veteran suicide is of course a very important and serious topic and one that is of course, very difficult to discuss. If you are someone you know is suffering from veteran PTSD, mental health, depression, or self-harming thoughts, please seek help. It is narrated on the authority of Amirul Mu'minin, Abu Hafs 'Umar bin al-Khattab (radiAllahu Anhu) who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: "Actions are (judged) by motives (niyyah), so each man will have what he intended. Thus, he whose migration (hijrah) was to Allah and His Messenger, his migration is to Allah and His Messenger; but he whose migration was for some worldly thing he might gain, or for a wife he might marry, his migration is to that for which he migrated." [Bukhari & Muslim]
Hassan ibn Thabit (ra) was the most talented of poets, aided by Jibreel (as) as he defended the Prophet ﷺ against his enemies. While that same tongue fell into tragic error, we honor him for his years of service to Islam.
