Kahless the great returns after Worf burns a fat one on the Enterprise and gets dressed down /slash/ given a vacation from Picard. Then we talk about religion and governance without really getting at the moral quandary of cloning and free will. Worf confronts the Klingon pharisees, then convinces Gowron to bends the knee. No, it doesn't make sense any more than religion does, but we are made to assume something profound happened to Worf. For me, it was Tuesday. Get in touch with us on BlueSky @ReEngageTNG.bsky.social! Star Trek: Phase II. After the perceived failure of The Original Series, and the ending of The Animated Series, Paramount decides to do a film, then a television series, then back to a film, which ultimately became Star Trek: The Motion Picture. However, there was a time when a fourth major network was a big deal with a Star Trek series as its cornerstone. No, it is not the formation of the United Paramount Network (UPN) and the creation of Star Trek: Voyager. It is actually a different network and series altogether. In this episode of Twin Cities Trekkies, Wes is joined by Jeffrey of the Renegade Shipyards Instagram social media account, to talk about Star Trek: Phase II, which would have been the cornerstone of the Paramount Television Service and would have debuted in 1978. "Past Tense" and the Bell Riots. The third season Deep Space Nine two-part episode "Past Tense", which were the last Star Trek episodes before the premiere of Star Trek: Voyager, tells a very powerful message about homelessness. This had been discussed about in local newspapers, but still has a powerful message about it that still resonates nearly three decades later. In this episode of Twin Cities Trekkies, which continues the podcast's 30+ Years of DS9 celebration, Wes is joined by fellow Star Trek fan, Minnesotan and podcaster Justin Grays to talk about "Past Tense" and its messages that still are present, nearly 30 years since they first aired. In this episode of Twin Cities Trekkies, which continues the Deep Space Nine 30+ Year Celebration that began in February, Wes is joined by Jen of The Geek Girls Story Salon to talk about Kira, and about the actress who played her, Nana Visitor, and their stories about Star Trek in general. Matthew (he/him) and Jo (she/they) do a little bit of cave robbing on our search for “The Sword of Kahless.” In this Worf heavy episode, we analyze how his “bi-racial” identity is explored in this episode, we discuss our own relationship to our biracial identities and we spend a surprising amount of time talking about James Bond. Matthew asks if The Sword of Kahless could survive in space and Jo argues that Kor has dramatic, chaotic bisexual energyAs always, be prepared that spoilers may be lurking around every corner just like Garak on Empok Nor.Subscribe for weekly recaps of Star Trek Deep Space Nine, follow us online at @TerokNoir on Twitter for silly memes and polls and contact us by e-mail at teroknoirpod@gmail.com

Juni 1994.
Episode 2 and things in the binary start system are really starting to kick off, and also end I guess. Listen to how Maks lost his faith in the human project from a little country music. Also what if we got an episode about the tallest Ferengi in the galaxy. And, question of the week, ever seen a toilet in this damn series? We haven't. 1. Juni 1994.

Rebinging Star Trek DS9: Our Man Bashir Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to season 4, episode 9: Our Man Bashir! It's time for a very famous episode where Julian and Garak are trapped in a holosuite program where Julian is a suave, capable spy. Tune in for our discussion of what makes this episode interesting - spoiler alert, it's not the Bond connection! It's actually a story of jealousy and love! Also listen in for Kim's new crush...it's not Bashir. Is Bashir Our Man? Julian has a new toy: a holo program of him essentially playing James Bond. It even has the music! He's been snubbing Garak in favor of this new program, so Garak noses his way in to see what all the fuss is about. An he's a little horrified at the false portrayal of spy work and maybe a little upset that Julian's type doesn't look more like him. Meanwhile Snodgrass, Odo and Rom are racing to save the rest of the crew from being lost in a transporter accident. What's this rebinge thing? It's a re-watch of a thing you've already seen but love to watch and talk about. We go deep with every episode, walking you through every scene and analyzing all of the characters and story lines. Please listen to some of our favorite episodes like Duet, The Visitor or Heart of Stone and check out the previous episode, The Sword of Kahless. Next time... Join us next week for S4E10: Homefront! Rebinging Star Trek DS9: The Sword of Kahless Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to season 4, episode 8: The Sword of Kahless. We've got an extra Klingon on the station and that means trouble! Kor, from Blood Oath arrives and he's on a quest to find the mythical Sword of Kahless. Worf and Dax tag along for the adventure! The Sword of Kahless Kor gets wind of the location of the mythical Klingon treasure and Worf believes it's something that could unite his people. Trouble is, Kor is a bit of a drinker and a bit of a talker and he may have let the plan spill a few times. So while Dax, Worf and Kor search for the sword, some others are following in their footsteps with less than honorable intentions. What's this rebinge thing? It's a re-watch of a thing you've already seen but love to watch and talk about. We go deep with every episode, walking you through every scene and analyzing all of the characters and story lines. Rebinging Star Trek DS9: Little Green Men Hello Star Trek fans! Welcome to season 4, episode 7: Little Green Men. In this episode we learn Quark, Rom and Nog are the aliens that visited Roswell in 1947. I mean this actually makes a lot of sense and results in some very amusing gags. Little Green Men Quark's cousin gives him a ship as payment for an old debt, but the joke is on Quark as the ship is rigged to fail. When Rom tries a desperate act of Star Trek science to save them, they end up going back in time and landing in Roswell, NM in 1947. Some of this episode is cute (like this time travel stuff) and some of this episode is not (like tricking the female nurse into performing physical acts of pleasure on the Ferengi ears). So...yeah, was that really necessary? Another attempt at Ferengi humor...which seems to be funny to a very narrow audience. *SIGH* What's this rebinge thing? It's a re-watch of a thing you've already seen but love to watch and talk about. We go deep with every episode, walking you through every scene and analyzing all of the characters and story lines. The Savage Curtain was the twenty second episode of Star Trek's third season to air, with a lava creature seeking to learn about good and evil by pitting Kirk alongside Abraham Lincoln in a battle with Genghis Khan and other villains. In this episode Gerry and Iain discuss whether this whole thing wasn't done better in Arena. After some unusual readings are obtained from a seemingly lava-covered planet, the Enterprise crew are surprised to meet President Abraham Lincoln (Lee Bergere) who is keen to come aboard. He invites Kirk and Spock to join him on the surface, where they meet legendary Vulcan leader Surak (Barry Atwater). Pitted in battle against a group of villains comprising Genghis Khan (Nathan Jung), Col. Green (Phillip Pine), Kahless the Unforgettable (Robert Herron) and Zora of Tiburon (Carol Daniels) by the lava creature Yarnek, they must survive to secure the safety of the Enterprise crew. The Savage Curtain was directed by Herschel Daugherty, the last of his two episodes. The story was by Gene Roddenberry, the show's creator. In this episode Gerry and Iain considered whether Abraham Lincoln will still be considered an important historical figure in the 23rd century. The discussion continues in the comments below and please keep in touch with us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram where we're @trekpodcast. You can listen to the show here on the website, on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, Pocket Casts, TuneIn, Stitcher, Google or wherever you find your podcasts. The Savage Curtain was released in 1969. It is 50 minutes long and originally aired on the NBC network. It can be viewed on Paramount+ in the United states, Netflix in the UK and is available on DVD and Blu Ray in other countries, including a comprehensive remastered set of all three seasons released by Paramount Home Entertainment.
Welcome to this special bonus "lost" episode of The Gospel According to Star Trek Podcast! At the end of Season 1, the whole crew (Kevin, Tim, Mike, and David) recorded a fourth and final episode in our Eastertide series on Star Trek Christ figures, this time on Kahless the Unforgettable, the Christ/Moses figure of Klingon culture. Unfortunately, our connection went crazy and a huge chunk of Kevin's audio was lost. But we were able to recover the audio--albeit in a much lower quality--from the Zoom files. With some clever editing, Kevin actually managed to make an episode out of it, though it is not up to our usual audio standards, starting at about the 56-minute mark. Still, we had a great discussion and we're very happy to share it with you. We'll be back soon with the start of Season 2! We hope you enjoy the "Lost" Episode 36: The Unforgettable! This special episode is being released just prior to the premiere of Season 2, but our faithful supporters got to hear it early!
