Bryan Matthews, Caleb Jones, Brian Stultz and Jay G. Tate reconvene at VooDoo to discuss important happenings in and around the Auburn program, which at this stage includes a spring football crescendo. There are only a few days left before A-Day! What have we learned? And which players have made the biggest impact so far? Lettuce discuss. The Guys then move on to football recruiting, which is going well with dozens of four- and five-star recruits having visited lately or planning to visit for A-Day. Basketball? KD Johnson is out. Bruce Pearl held an interesting press conference to defend himself and his players from criticsm after the Yale loss. Is that warranted? Who is actually mad at Bruce? Bryan then talks baseball, which is 1-8 in league play yet is not a bad team at all. Softball? Hmm. They're 3-9 in league play, but they may actually be bad. Mickey Dean is on his way out, though, so that's interesting. The show ends with a tightly curated array of commendations and shoutouts for the most outstanding members (this week) from The Bunker community. Great folks and a great community! The show is presented by VooDoo Wing Company with locations in Auburn, Mobile, Tuscaloosa, Florence, Charlotte and Las Vegas. Check them out IN PERSON for delicious chicken or on the web at www.voodoowingco.com.

Auburn traveled to Knoxville and took first place Tennessee to the wire, but couldn't hang on to a second half lead in a very well-played game on both sides. Dalton Knecht had 39 points, including 25 in the final 12 minutes, to steal the game for the Vols. Johni Broome led the Tigers in points, rebounds and assists. Jaylin Williams, KD Johnson, Denver Jones, and Chad Baker-Mazara all scored in double figures as well. Auburn returns home on Saturday to face Mississippi State.
We welcome back an old (and best) friend to the program as Mike Burgomaster from the Auburn Tigers was kind enough to come through. Truly one of the best dudes that is currently on a college basketball sideline. We discuss his tremendous promotion from Director of Ops to Assistant Coach and all of the new responsibilities that come with it. We also talk about Auburn's win streak and the key personnel that is contributing to that. The leadership of KD Johnson, the youthful talent of Aden Holloway and the dynamic approach of Chad Baker-Mazara have been incredible to witness. We also talk about the SEC as a whole and see if there's any similarities or differences between this Auburn team and the Final 4 team. Thanks again to Burgo for jumping on! Auburn continued the nation's longest winning streak of non-conference home games with a 20 point victory over the Penn Quakers. Johni Broome was our MVP, with 22 points and 12 rebounds, while shooting 8-9 and 3-4 from 3 point land. Chad Baker-Mazara added 16 points, while KD Johnson and Denver Jones combined for 25 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 0 turnovers. Auburn is now 11-2 and ranked in the Top 25 for the 7th straight season as they enter SEC play on the road against Arkansas on Saturday.

Auburn turned an early 12 point deficit into an 18 point halftime lead, as hot shooting from multiple scorers and suffocating defense completely turned this game around. Jaylin Williams and Aden Holloway had 24 points each, but KD Johnson was our MVP due to his tenacious defense, efficient offense, and infectious confidence. It was a big neutral site victory for the Tigers, who now will travel to Huntsville to play UNC-Asheville.

Auburn relied on their half court defense and some timely 3 point shooting in the second half to control their first round matchup against Iowa in Birmingham. Johni Broome was our MVP with 19 points and 12 rebounds, while Wendell Green Jr took care of the ball and was perfect at the free throw line to finish the game. Tre Donaldson and KD Johnson were terrific off the bench, and Allen Flanigan had 10 points and 10 rebounds. Auburn will play on Saturday in Birmingham against either Houston or Northern Kentucky.

Another game, another brutal close loss against a quality opponent. Auburn led for the first 35 minutes of the game against #2 Alabama, but let a 17 point second half lead slip away. The Tigers were able to force overtime, but eventually Johni Broome, Jaylin Williams, and Allen Flanigan all fouled out. KD Johnson led the team with 21 points off the bench. Auburn continues to fight hard, but wins in close games have been hard to come by. They return home for the season finale to host Tennessee, in another game that could clinch an NCAA tournament berth.

The Auburn Family showed up and showed out in Nashville, but the 20 free throw attempts for Vanderbilt center Liam Robbins was a little too much to overcome. The Tigers had their chances to stretch out a small second half lead, but ended up in another close battle that will end up in the loss column. After a huge KD Johnson 3 pointer to tie the game with 10 seconds left, Vanderbilt hit a shot going to the rim with less than a second left to win the game. Johni Broome led Auburn in scoring with 20 points and Jaylin Williams had 17, but it was a brutal night for Wendell Green Jr and many other perimeter players for the Tigers. Auburn now needs to beat Ole Miss at home this week and likely will need another win in the regular season or SEC tournament as they try to secure an NCAA tournament berth.

After losing 5 out of 6 games, Auburn desperately needed a win against a quality Missouri team and they delivered their best performance of the season. They started on a 19-2 run and never looked back. The Tigers played terrific defense against one of the nation's top offenses, and shared the ball well on offense leading to a ton of made shots. Johni Broome put up another double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds, but KD Johnson's first half offensive explosion made him our MVP. He scored 14 points in the first half and hit 4 three pointers. Auburn (18-8, 8-5 SEC) now travels to Nashville to face Vanderbilt on Saturday.

Two of the nation's top defenses squared off in Knoxville and the game between Auburn and Tennessee really reflected that. Both teams shot poorly from the field and from the three point line, and every rebound and possession were hotly contested. Auburn took an early lead before trailing by 4 at halftime. They went down by 8 a couple times, but clawed back to have multiple possessions at the end of the game to tie or take the lead. Johni Broome led the way for Auburn with 11 points and 9 rebounds, and KD Johnson also scored in double figures for a third straight game with 10. Auburn (17-6, 7-3 SEC) continues their road trip with a game in College Station, TX on Tuesday night.

Auburn dug itself another large 16 point halftime deficit, but erased it as the final four minutes arrived. The fight shown by the Tigers was impressive, but they still lost against West Virginia 80-77 in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge. Jaylin Williams led the way with 18 points while Johni Broome, Allen Flanigan, and KD Johnson all scored in double figures. But Erik Stevenson's 31 points proved to be too much to overcome. Auburn will attempt to end their two game losing streak when they return home to host Georgia on Wednesday night.
Auburn Men's Basketball has hit its stride lately with 4 straight wins and the last two looking outright dominant. The boost is coming from the most experienced players, with Wendell Green and Johnni Broome leading the way. KD Johnson and Flanigan are improving their play, and there's even been signs of hope from Yohan Traore. Is this it? Is this the meshing of talent that this Auburn team needs to make a run for the SEC title? ===========================================================================For more Auburn content check us out on YouTube at The War Rapport! Our SponsorsAthletic ArchitectsVisit www.buildthehouse.com and let Athletic Architects help you get you LLC started today. The Rogue ShopVisit www.rogueshop.com for all you CBD and Delta 8 needs. Auburn took control of this game early and often by hitting outside shots! It was what we've been wanting to see. Allen Flanigan scored 7 of Auburn's first 11 points, then KD Johnson hit his first four three point attempts. KD led the team with 16 points and had 0 turnovers, earning him tonight's MVP honors. The Tigers are now 8-0 and take the week off for Finals Week, before traveling to Atlanta to play Memphis on December 10.

Auburn prevailed over a very talented, experienced Saint Louis team 65-60, but it was not easy. Auburn's shooting difficulties continued but the defense and winning culture won the day, as the Tigers finished the game on a 12-2 run - turning a 5 point deficit into a 5 point victory. Wendell Green Jr led the way with 22 points and was our MVP for this game. Johni Broome missed a lot of makeable shots, but had 11 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 blocks. KD Johnson led the Tigers back late in the game, with two tough driving layups and an unreal full court pass to Allen Flanigan to give Auburn the lead for good. The Tigers are now 7-0 and will host Colgate on December 2.

Johni Broome was out, Wendell Green Jr struggled, but some of Auburn's more experienced players picked up the offensive slack in a 72-56 win over Texas Southern. KD Johnson scored 16, while Jaylin Williams and Chris Moore added 14 each. They all hit multiple three pointers. Auburn's defense continues to look lethal, and it led to a 28-7 fast break points advantage tonight. Chris Moore was narrowly named MVP of this game. Next, Auburn travels to Mexico to participate in the Cancun Challenge on Tuesday and Wednesday of Thanksgiving Week.

Miami outexecuted and outplayed Auburn for most of their second round matchup. Turnovers were a huge issue for Auburn, and the Tigers missed a ton of open shots, especially around the rim. For the first time all season, Jabari Smith and Walker Kessler both struggled in the same game and were neutralized by an opponent. KD Johnson and Jaylin Williams played well, but it wasn't nearly enough as Auburn ended up losing by 18 points. We react to the game in this episode, but will also have another episode after the NCAA tournament ends to look back at the season as a whole.

This team just keeps finding ways to win. Despite shooting 30% from the field and 21% from 3, the Tigers overcame another double digit first half deficit on the road with terrific defense and an unbelievable rebounding effort. KD Johnson saved the day late, as he made two key buckets when Auburn trailed 51-50 in the final minute and a half. He was our clear MVP on a night when the offense was such a struggle. #1 Auburn is now 19-1, 8-0 in the SEC, as they prepare to face Oklahoma in the Big 12/SEC Challenge on Saturday.
