Macron spoke of “convergence” between Europe, Ukraine, and the U.S., code for: we're not waiting for Trump. Starmer promised “a just and lasting settlement.” Merz framed Ukraine's future as “the destiny of Europe.” This isn't just about Ukraine anymore, it's about Europe's ability to act without Washington.aa the subtext is clear: Europe knows Trump may walk away, and they're preparing for it. Ukraine is only part of the equation, the real test is whether Europe can act without Washington. A group of former FBI agents has filed a lawsuit against Director Kash Patel and the federal government after being fired for supporting the Black Lives Matter movement. The dozen agents complained that almost immediately upon becoming director of the bureau, Patel began working to terminate all agents who had kneeled in support of the movement. The lawsuit also claims the agents would not have been fired had they had the same perceived political affiliations as those involved in the January 6th protests. The blowback is now financial as well as legal. https://twitter.com/MarioNawfal/status/1998354564790284308?s=20 notice. 18 of them are still actively covered. September 2025. Monthly payout: over $10,000. GAO’s just…monitoring them. Because apparently nobody at HHS has. No SSN? Fine. No proof of citizenship? Whatever. No income documentation? Come on in. GAO literally wrote in their report: “[We] did not provide documentation yet received coverage.” They’re not even hiding it – they got benefits with nothing. The system just said yes. Now check the real-world damage. In 2023, 29,000 Social Security numbers somehow got used for multiple full-year coverage plans. By 2024? That jumped to 68,000. Someone’s running the same number through the machine twice, three times, however many times it takes, and the alarms aren’t going off. Then there’s the $94 million that went to dead people in 2023. Not “accounts tied to people who died recently and the paperwork hasn’t caught up” – straight up deceased recipients. Death certificates filed, funerals held, checks still clearing. But here’s the really wild part: GAO tried to track $21 billion in subsidies from 2023 back to actual Social Security numbers. Couldn’t do it. 21 billion dollars just floating out there with no clear connection to who’s supposed to be getting it. The system allows multiple enrollments per SSN “to help ensure actual SSN-holder can enroll in cases of identity theft or data entry errors.” In other words: we built in workarounds so generous that fraud looks identical to legitimate use. Now Congress is fighting over whether to extend these enhanced COVID subsidies past December 31. Cost to keep them? $30 billion annually. 24 million people enrolled, over 90% getting subsidies. Without extension, premiums spike overnight and 22 million people might lose coverage. Republicans looking at GAO’s findings saying: this is exactly why we shouldn’t pour another $30B into a system that can’t tell fake accounts from real ones. Democrats saying: you’re going to kick 22 million people off insurance because less than 1% is fraud? Both sides kinda have a point. Yeah, the fraud’s under 1% of total enrollees. But when you’re burning $30B yearly and literally cannot verify where $21B went, “less than 1%” stops sounding so minor. Senate vote coming this week. Expected to fail. Which means scramble for short-term extension, fight continues into 2026 budget battles, and absolutely nothing changes about fraud controls. Because here’s what nobody wants to say out loud: the system isn’t designed to catch fraud. It’s designed to maximize enrollment. When your mandate is “get people covered,” asking too many questions becomes the enemy. Verification slows things down. Documentation creates barriers. Better to let a few fake accounts slip through than risk denying real people who need coverage. So GAO’s 18 fictional enrollees will keep collecting their $10K monthly until someone at HHS manually shuts them down. Which requires someone at HHS to actually read GAO reports. Which requires someone at HHS to care more about fraud than enrollment numbers. Don’t hold your breath. By next year, GAO will run the same test. Find the same results. Write the same warnings. And Congress will have the same fight about whether feeding money into a system that can’t track where it goes is compassionate policy or expensive theater. Meanwhile, somewhere in America, a completely imaginary person just got their subsidized premium renewed for 2026. https://twitter.com/chad_mizelle/status/1998194850324222006?s=20 clown show. Welcome to Episode #192 of the Way of the Bible podcast. This is our eighth episode in our Twenty-Fourth mini-series entitled The Return of Jesus Christ [3]. On today's post Thanksgiving Week 2025 episode, we will be taking A Walk on the Beach with DrZ and summarize the content of this mini-series and areas we can focus on for future investigation into this topic the great snatching away, the Harpazo, the Rapture of the church. Let's just jump right into the middle of the mix at a beach house along 30A. So glad to have such a big group with us this morning. I realize this is an important topic, especially given the signs of the times. But I also recognize a special draw to just walk on the beach this gorgeous Thanksgiving week morning here along 30A. It's one of those mornings, after the water was totally flat yesterday, to have a light surf of clear emerald waves with white foam caps that take your breath away. The calming sounds of rushing waters will beckon us to enter into the conversation.I'll meet you all behind the beach house in ten minutes. That should give me enough time to go around and greet everyone personally. We'll have plenty of time for follow-up conversations and perhaps a surprise or two after our walk this morning.Looks like everyone is here. As we make our way out to the beach on the boardwalk, we'll pause at the large landing across the top of the dune and take in the view before descending to God's stadium floor. The floor where two worlds collide and intersect, but where no creatures are shared. With that, let's get walking.Alright, everyone, stop and take a look up and down the beach. What a glorious sight God has provided for us today. You can plainly see in the morning light the shimmering waters of deep blue, blue, and emerald-green with splotches of light tan where the sandbars lie just below the surface. Along the water line and inland, wide and deep snow white sugar sand as far as the eyes can see in both directions. Alright, let's head down to the stadium floor… Check out these crystal clear waters up close. The white foaming surf and cool, but not cold, feel of the clear water that quickly turns emerald ten feet off shore. We'll head toward the mid-morning sunrise and turn back to the West in a little over a mile. What is interesting but rarely considered is that there is another entire ecosystem with creatures that match and or surpass even the greatest or most unusual land creatures on earth. Water covers approximately 71% of our planet, with 91.5% of that water in the oceans. Yet we know little about the vast ocean spaces and the creatures that live there, and their habitats. We share the same oxygen but in totally different environments. There is a tiny crustacean called the hadal amphipod that lives in the deepest parts of the Mariana Trench up to 34,500 feet or 6.5 miles deep. The pressure at that depth is 15,350 pounds per square inch, which is 1000 times greater than the pressure at sea level. And yet there they...

The Seahawks get the shutout! The Seahawks defense absolutely dominated the Vikings and thank goodness they did, because offensively this team struggled. Darnold was sacked 4 times and the offense only managed one touchdown, relying on field goals and the defense to get the job done against Minnesota, so while there were a lot of positives to takeaway from the W, there are some concerns as well. :30- Grab your Thanksgiving leftovers and let's enjoy a cold turkey sandwich together while we check out the NFL board of scores! There are 6 teams in the NFL with 9-wins and 3 of them are in the NFC West. :45- Coach Bucky is here and he only wants to talk about the Washington-Oregon game… yuck. - Coach Bucky and his son got to watch the game from the stands, how did that go? - What was the difference in the game? 3rd and long defense? Not using Adam Mohammed more? Not having any open receivers? See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The Pilgrims were reform-minded Protestants Puritans who sought to purify the Church of England of Roman Catholic practices. English Puritans were Protestants who wished to reform England’s state religion of Catholic influences. Their efforts met with stiff resistance. Send us a text“The Detonator and the Survival Kit: Recovering the Map Beyond the Wreckage” featuring Jonathan Kuttab"Welcome back to Understanding Israel Palestine, a Beyond the Walls edition. I'm Jeremy Rothe-Kushel.Today, we re-open a black box recording from a time of useful consciousness: my March 2021 conversation with long-serving Palestinian human rights attorney Jonathan Kuttab. Back then, the UN, US, EU, Russia Quartet kept the 'Two-State Zombie craft' aloft—rough but steady. Peace could be claimed to still be just around the alley. But this recording identified sabotage in real time. We saw the Abraham Accords not as peace, but as lubricant for a slow detonator—weapons deals designed to erase the Palestinian question entirely. We listen now during ongoing human catastrophe and cease-less firing in Gaza from Thanksgiving Week 2025. The detonator triggered. Moscow —as Hamas confirmed on TV soon after October 7th —welcomed the explosion as chaff to distract the West from war in Ukraine. Netanyahu then hung his genocidal Gaza 'response' to his own alleged 'failures' of security as an albatross around his coalition of the willing American neck. He seized the smoke to flee forward from corruption trials, political resistance and credible suspicion of his regime's treason, and pulled the trigger on a 'Second, possibly final, Nakba' by fire.Don Trump's envoy Steve Witkoff has now picked at the ash, with no real ceasefire or reconstruction plan, but a realestate prospectus—$70 billion for a beachfront windfall with Palestinians to be gone for a generation. Serious diplomacy walks dead. But this recording holds pieces of a survival kit. Kuttab offers a Hybrid Confederation: A Jewish Defense Minister for existential safety; a Palestinian Police Chief for internal dignity. Mutual sharing of language and culture. To get Beyond the Walls, we must go Beyond the Two-State Solution. Separation was sabotage from the get-go. Shared security and mutual survival may be the only path to return home." Finding Peace in Overwhelm: A Christian Guide to Anxiety, Burnout, and Trusting God Through Hard Seasons (Faith-Based Encouragement, Holistic Healing, Christian Mental Health) Introduction: What You'll Learn in This Episode If you've been feeling anxious, numb, exhausted, or spiritually drained, this episode is for you. We dive deep into Christian mental health, holistic healing, and what it really looks like to trust God when life feels heavy. You'll learn: Why seasons of overwhelm are normal — and biblical The identity trap many Christian women fall into What Scripture teaches about endurance, grief, and human weakness How Jesus handled anxiety, agony, and the weight of His calling This episode is especially for Christian women who feel overextended, weary, or like they're “not enough” — moms, high achievers, and women navigating transitions, burnout, or identity struggles. Episode Overview In this vulnerable conversation, we explore Scripture, real-life hardship, emotional healing, and how God strengthens us through every season — even when we feel like we're drowning. From James 1 to Ecclesiastes 3 to Jesus sweating drops of blood in Luke 22, this episode gives a deeply honest look at pain, perseverance, and faith. ⏱️ Time-Stamped Highlights 00:00 — A Prayer for Thanksgiving Week & A Needed Reset A heartfelt encouragement for the holiday season plus an invitation to reset your energy through a faith-rooted workshop. 00:53 — Why James 1:2–4 Feels So Hard (But Necessary) The tension between hating trials yet wanting the maturity they produce. 01:23 — Generational Strength & Why We Can't Shield Ourselves From Hardship Reflecting on family, resilience, and how God grows us through challenges. 02:22 — Soul Care Class: When God Brings Hidden Things to the Surface A behind-the-scenes look at how spiritual growth often exposes old wounds. 03:20 — Job Loss, Homeschooling, and God's Provision The rollercoaster journey of jobs, layoffs, and trusting God for timing and flexibility. 04:19 — A “Perfect” Job That Turned Into Overwhelm When work-from-home turns into work-all-the-time. 04:43 — Humiliation, Pressure, and Feeling “Not Enough” A moment that exposed deep identity struggles. 05:40 — The False Identity of Performance How tying your worth to productivity quietly destroys your peace. 07:38 — When Scripture and Self-Care Don't Lift You Out of the Funk Honest reflections on depression, anxiety, numbness, and spiritual dryness. 08:36 — The Mask People Wear at Church & Why You're Not Alone The pressure to appear okay when you're not. 09:36 — “Just Keep Showing Up”: Encouragement for Moms and the Weary The small but powerful act of continuing to show up every day. 10:06 — Sleepless in Seattle, Tom Hanks, and the Power of Just Breathing A surprising emotional parallel to grief and perseverance. 11:03 — Ecclesiastes 3: There Is a Season for Everything Why your pain is temporary and purposeful. 12:32 — Jesus in Gethsemane: The Ultimate Example of Agony and Surrender The humanity and anguish of Christ — and why it matters for your suffering. 14:55 — Your Pain is Seen, Your Season Will Not Last Forever Final encouragement: Jesus understands your pain, and this will pass. Key Takeaways 1. Hard seasons are part of spiritual growth. God uses trials to strengthen us, deepen endurance, and strip away false identities. 2. Your worth is not tied to productivity or performance. Christian women often carry silent pressure to “hold everything together,” but Scripture gives you permission to rest and be human. 3. Emotional burnout is not a sign of failure. Feeling numb, anxious, or overwhelmed isn't a spiritual weakness — it's a sign you're carrying too much alone. 4. Even Jesus felt agony so intense He sweat “like drops of blood.” Your emotional and physical symptoms of stress are not a shock to Him. He understands the full weight of human suffering. 5. Seasons of pain don't last forever. Ecclesiastes reminds us that life moves in God-ordained rhythms. Your current season is temporary. 6. Just keep showing up. One breath at a time. One day at a time. Faithfulness is less about perfection and more about returning to Jesus again and again. Scriptures Mentioned James 1:2–4 — steadfastness through trials Ecclesiastes 3 — seasons of life Luke 22:39–44 — Jesus in Gethsemane, sweating like drops of blood Call to Action: Reset Your Energy With God at the Center If you're feeling depleted, overwhelmed, or spiritually dry, now is the time to reset with Jesus — not January 1st. ✨ Grab the “Reset Your Energy” Workshop A gentle, faith-rooted, 50-minute experience to help you breathe again, calm your nervous system, refresh your spirit, and restore peace.

In 1847, a US military ship, the USS Jamestown, was loaded up with food and other relief to sail to Ireland and help with the famine in that country.Jody, Niki, and Kellie discuss how disparate communities in the US rallied around the cause, and how the Jamestown represented one of the first moments of international camaraderie for a new country.Sign up for our newsletter! The Baller Lifestyle Podcast — Episode 602 “Breast Side Up” — Thanksgiving Special Host: Brian BecknerCo-Host: Ed DalySpecial Guest: Jason Stewart (J-Stew, forehead warrior, beard connoisseur) Episode Summary It's a special Thanksgiving Week episode — the week nobody listens, but you'll come back and listen later anyway, so the guys go deep on everything from Movember beards to the physics of NFL field goals to the only Beverly Hills, 90210 Thanksgiving episode that truly matters: “Breast Side Up.” Brian, Ed, and Jason break down one of the wildest mid-'90s holiday episodes ever recorded — complete with Steve Young, inexplicable timeline issues, bad acting, turkey-cooking disputes, homelessness arcs, and why Joe Bradley's hair alone should've led him to reevaluate his life choices. Topics Covered Opening Banter Brian's Movember beard observations Ed retiring the beard for the year Jason and Ed having a “forehead-off” Jason taking “incoming bullets” on Twitter (mostly from G-Fish) Revisiting the legendary Blind Date episode Bread ends discourse — sourdough exceptions only Thanksgiving side rankings (lots of stuffing enthusiasm, lots of anti-white-meat energy) NFL Talk Jason's crusade against Kyle Shanahan and his injury-report “lies” Fantasy football as a “tens of billions” industry (per ChatGPT stats, so must be true) Why the NFL has suddenly become the Sixty-Yard Field Goal Era Air Force vs. Montana fat-kicker appreciation The trio's proposal to end kicker specialization forever Why dark meat turkey is undefeated Ed's elite, trash-sounding-but-actually-amazing cornbread casserole 90210: “Breast Side Up” (Deep Dive) (Season 6 Thanksgiving episode featuring Steve Young) An extremely detailed, scene-by-scene, historically anchored breakdown including: Why everyone is shopping together at Ralphs The over-meddling homeless mom with turkey-based control issues Valerie's sociopathic need to “host Thanksgiving” Brandon's world-famous bourbon sweet potatoes Academic-advisor nerd energy Phi Beta Kappa stolen valor Lee Steinberg's absolutely unhinged acting How the writers destroyed the career of the guy who sang “How Do You Talk to an Angel?” The Steve Young guest-appearance timeline that makes zero sense The infamous lawn football game (quarters??? Steve throwing to Sanders???) Joe Bradley's virginity revelation Brandon and Kelly's dangerously inevitable hookup A stunning amount of talk about Donna Martin's head shape What ultimately happens to Joe Bradley on the series And, of course… the breast side up vs. breast side down turkey controversy(Ed tried it. It sucks.) This is an all-timer television teardown. Favorite Quotes “You look like Wolverine right now.” “Nobody cares about Lee Steinberg's scripts.” “Donna Martin could see the pick route because she could see from the sides of her head.” “Stolen valor Phi Beta Kappa.” “Steve Young pulls up in a Crown Vic dressed like Jay Leno.” “Turkey leftovers at 11 p.m. is a Walsh family tradition.” Plugs & Housekeeping Mailbag: mailbag@theballerlifestyle.com Voicemail: 949-464-8257 Website: theballerlifestyle.com Occasional Bachelor coverage upcoming — including the new Mormon Bachelorette Outro As always, the TBLS theme reminds you:“We're not trying to talk politics a lot…We'd much rather talk about dicks.” Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. If you cook the bird, we'll bring the sides for you on this Thanksgiving Week episode of Breakfast All Day. Here are the big movies coming out that we reviewed: WAKE UP DEAD MAN. The third movie in Rian Johnson's "Knives Out" series has more on its mind than its predecessors. But the latest murder mystery is just as fun in its twists and turns, and it features yet another delightful performance from Daniel Craig as Detective Benoit Blanc. This is a non-spoiler review, because as always, the less you know the better. In select theaters Nov. 26 before streaming on Netflix Dec. 12. HAMNET. A major awards contender with a ton of hype, but our review isn't quite so fawning. Director and co-writer Chloé Zhao's film is inspired by the true story of William Shakespeare and his wife as they deal with the devastation of losing their son, Hamnet, at age 11. Paul Mescal and Jessie Buckley co-star. In select theaters Nov. 26 before expanding Dec. 5. REBUILDING. It's Josh O'Connor Week (he's also in "Wake Up Dead Man"), which is just fine with us. Here he stars as a cowboy struggling to put his life back together after a wildfire ravages his Colorado ranch. This is a quietly moving indie gem that we both loved. Lily LaTorre is excellent as his young daughter. Find out here if it's playing hear you: https://bleeckerstreetmedia.com/rebuilding Thanks for spending some of your time with us during this busy holiday week. We're so grateful for you! Chip Scoggins, Ryan Burns and Justin Gaard are back on this Thanksgiving Week to discuss the Gophers dreadful defensive performance in a disappointing loss to Northwestern at Wrigley Field. How did they get here and how does it get better? What does it mean for defensive coordinator Danny Collins? The guys do touch on the great performance by Drake Lindsay and the Gopher offense before they preview the Wisconsin game and talk about the Lane Kiffin dominoe that is expected to start the coaching carousel this weekend.
