KDFC has put them all together in one continuous stream. It takes days to get through them all. All the familiar classics and lots of wonderful works that were new to me.

Today we are saying "YES!" to life with our special guest Joan Stutes. Aeriol Ascher your host spends some time with one of her favorite women in leadership. Always full of fun and a wide variety of perspective you will enjoy this lively conversation. What is your title or business name?: Joan Stutes Certified Financial Educator Tell us a little bit about the work you do: I help people grow their money, guard their money, and expand their vision to include adventure How or why did you begin doing the work that you do?: My husband and I lost a lot of money in real estate and the stock market in 2008.  I became very fearful about our future. I came into Transamerica/World Financial Group as a client. Over time I realized the benefits of the financial education program they offer and became eager to share this knowledge What kind of things do you assist your clients with?: I coach my clients through the six steps to financial independence including a look at their cash flow, debt situation, establishing a reserve account, proper protection (insurance needs), wealth building, and legacy (need for wills and trusts). What SUPER TIP or piece of advice would you like to share with the world?: Success in my real estate career came from the energy of fear and desperation. After all, I was a single mom with two grade school daughters, and I was desperate. When I tried to move into super success in my current business, I always backed away. Finally I realized I had linked fear & desperation to success. I was unwilling to go there again. As a financially independent senior citizen with no dependents, I was not desperate.  After some thought provoking meditation, I was able to link success with generosity and love of life. With my new success I will be able to generously support organizations I trust, ones that will carry my values forward. I currently support my church, Girl Scouts, KDFC (classical music), and The Grateful Garment Project with small monthly donations. I will be able to enlarge and expand my support. Plus I'd like to give each of my grandchildren enough for a down payment on a home. What is the best way for our Podcast Listeners to reach you?: joan.stutes@wealthwave.com Guest Bio: Saying "Yes" to life has been Joan's motto throughout her 85 years. She entered college as a newly wed 18 year old, and was advised that she was taking the place of a man who would need the job. She stayed and graduated four years later. Teaching 7th grade math and typing for several years convinced Joan that classroom teaching was not her thing. She became a top producing Realtor in the highly competitive Silicon Valley real estate market place retiring from that business after 30 years. Retirement, she discovered, also was not her thing. At age 75 she joined World Financial Group to establish her financial coaching business. Because she has been married, single mom, remarried, and now widowed, she brings a special joyous longer look at life as it really happens, especially if you chose to say "Yes" to life.   We hope that you have enjoyed this conversation. If you would like more  information about being a guest on Healing Body Mind and Soul Network please reach out to www.aeriolascher.com at the www.healingbodymindandsoul.com Network and TV Show.   until next time, Happy Healing!

Description: Dorian Wood is a magical typhoon disguised as a humble singer-songwriter. LA Weekly calls them "a fearless artist and performer whose voice inhabits a room like a choir of ghosts," while Mondosonoro compares their concerts to "a meteor shower and the four elements." If we had to boil down the essence of Dorian Wood’s music, we’d call it a mixture of theatrical-experimental, folk, gospel-soul, and classical music, with a large dash of performance art. Speaking with Dorian was a rare treat. On this episode, we listen to musical excerpts and talk about sensuality, queerness, classical roots, bittersweet family, Dorian’s "curvy delicious body," and so much more.
