El Ballet Nacional del Sodre estrenará la gala "Tócame, Con amor" el 10 de julio en el Auditorio Nacional Adela Reta, donde permanecerá en cartel hasta el 19 de julio.El espectáculo reúne dos obras inéditas: Tócame, con coreografía de Ricardo Amarante y música de Serguéi Rachmaninoff, y Con amor, creada por David Jonathan sobre música de Robert Schumann. Ambas exploran el poder del contacto, los vínculos humanos y las emociones, con acompañamiento de música en vivo.La propuesta fue desarrollada íntegramente por equipos del Sodre y busca ampliar el repertorio del BNS con creaciones originales. Además, los viernes y sábados habrá un DJ set en el foyer del Auditorio tras la función.Las funciones serán de martes a sábados a las 20:00 y los domingos a las 17:00 horas. Las entradas están disponibles a través de Tickantel.

María Noel Riccetto, directora artística del Ballet Nacional del Sodre, y el coreógrafo David Jonathan presentaron "Tócame, Con amor", la nueva gala del BNS que se estrenará el 10 de julio en el Auditorio Nacional Adela Reta y permanecerá en cartel hasta el 19 de julio.La propuesta reúne dos creaciones inéditas: Tócame, con coreografía de Ricardo Amarante y música de Serguéi Rachmaninoff, y Con amor, de David Jonathan sobre música de Robert Schumann, ambas con el eje puesto en el poder del contacto, los vínculos humanos y las emociones, además de contar con música en vivo.Riccetto destacó que este proyecto surge de la decisión de impulsar la creación coreográfica dentro de la propia compañía, brindando espacio a artistas que integran el Ballet Nacional del Sodre. Señaló además que se trata de una producción íntegramente realizada por equipos del Sodre, desde la coreografía hasta el vestuario, y que representa una apuesta por ampliar el repertorio con obras originales que desafían tanto a los bailarines como al público a acercarse a nuevos lenguajes de la danza.Por su parte, Jonathan explicó que Con amor está inspirada en las distintas formas de vivir el amor y la distancia, tomando como punto de partida las experiencias de quienes pasan largos períodos lejos de sus familias y seres queridos. El coreógrafo también destacó el proceso de creación junto a los bailarines del BNS y valoró la posibilidad de trabajar con música en vivo, un elemento que aporta una dimensión especial a una gala que, además, incorporará los viernes y sábados una propuesta posfunción con un DJ set en el foyer del Auditorio Nacional Adela Reta.Tócame, Con amor se presentará del 10 al 19 de julio en el Auditorio Nacional Adela Reta, con funciones de martes a sábados a las 20:00 horas y domingos a las 17:00. A year ago, I published as my final Pride 2025 episode, Pears Sings Not-Britten, which explored the voice and artistry of British tenor Peter Pears in repertoire other than that written for him by his partner Benjamin Britten. Today's episode, a refurbished bonus episode originally published nearly a year ago has a new, catchy title that carries that theme even further, in that Britten is entirely absent, either as composer or as Pears's usual accompanist. Today, I feature collections of songs by five different composers, Ludwig Van Beethoven, Claude Debussy, Robert Schumann, Alan Bush, and Michael Tippett, all featuring Pears accompanied by pianists other than Britten, including celebrated solo virtuosi Noel Mewton-Wood, Murray Perahia and Sviatoslav Richter; with composer Alan Bush himself accompanying Pears himself in the thornily difficult piano part of his self-described cantata Voices of the Prophets. Of today's setlist, all but the Bush are either live or radio recordings which span three separate decades of Pears's career, and show an artist who, whether in his vocal prime or in the inevitable decline of his later years (and even after Britten's death), was fixated on expressing the finest shades of textual nuance and vocal color. Jetzt aber hat der gebürtige Russe ein neues Album vorgelegt: mit Robert Schumanns allbekannten „Kinderszenen“ und der „Gasteiner Sonate“ von Franz Schubert. Dass es von diesen Werken schon viele Aufnahmen gibt, räumt Volodos im Booklet der CD selbst ein. „Bevor man eine neue Version hinzufügt“, erklärt er da, „sollte man sicher sein, dass man etwas Eigenes zu sagen hat.“ Susanne Stähr hat sich die Live-Mitschnitte aus dem Jahr 2022 angehört. Here's a rare sampling of Countermelody favorite, the refulgent Czech contralto Věra Soukupová, in song repertoire, accompanied by both piano and full orchestra. The featured works are two song cycles of the so-called “late Romantic era,” one by Antonín Dvořák (his 1894 Biblical Songs), and one by Gustav Mahler, his 1901 Kindertotenlieder cycle. The Dvořák recording stems from 1967 and features Czech pianist Ivan Moravec; the Mahler is from 1963 and features the great Czech conductor (and Mahler specialist) Václav Neumann leading the Czech Philharmonic. The setlist includes two additional Mahler orchestral songs with Soukupová and Neumann as well as excerpts from Soukupová's 1976 recording of two song cycles by Robert Schumann, accompanied by Czech pianist Jan Horák.
