Michigan primary results reveal a deeper truth many refuse to face. Abdul El-Sayed's victory is not just a progressive win or a milestone for Muslim representation. It is another data point showing the steady rise of political influence tied to a 1,400-year-old jihadi ideology inside America. Regardless if El-Sayed wins the general election or not against the Republican, this is a dangerous precedent that will repeat itself more and more.For decades, leaders of major American Muslim organizations have openly stated their goals. CAIR co-founder Omar Ahmad said Islam is not in America to be equal but to become dominant. Nihad Awad spoke of building an “army” of professionals to deliver dozens of members of Congress. ISNA figures have talked about establishing Allah's rules in all lands and changing the American Constitution. The 1991 Muslim Brotherhood Explanatory Memorandum, entered into evidence in the Holy Land Foundation trial, called this work a “Civilization-Jihadist Process” aimed at destroying Western civilization from within.These are not fringe statements. They come from the institutional networks that shape American Muslim political life. The same ideology produces chants of “Khaybar Khaybar ya Yahud" celebrating the Muslim massacre of Jews back in 628 EC, celebrations of October 7, and the refusal to clearly condemn jihadi violence.El-Sayed's primary win, like the rise of figures such as Mamdani in New York, is a symptom. The larger reality is a supremacist jihadi political-religious ideology embedding itself in American elections, media, academia, and institutions. America still has no serious legal tools to address citizenship for those who openly advocate replacing the Constitution with Sharia or supporting the subordination of non-believers.Citizenship must not be an irreversible entitlement for those working to overthrow the constitutional order. Deportation of those advancing jihadi ideology is a national security necessity, not bigotry. The Michigan primary is a warning. Americans must wake up before the window closes. In Israel we face the same enemy with clearer eyes. For more than two decades, if you wanted to know what was really happening inside America’s megachurches, one name has consistently risen to the top: Dr. Warren Bird. Along with sociologist Scott Thumma, Bird has conducted the most comprehensive longitudinal research ever undertaken on the nation’s largest Protestant churches. Their latest study for the Hartford Institute for Religion Research is called “Megachurch Resurgence.” It reveals a surprising story: after the disruptions of the pandemic, America’s megachurches aren’t simply surviving—they’ve staged a remarkable resurgence, with new findings on attendance, finances, church planting, diversity, leadership, and the future of large congregations. We connect the dots from Bill Ayers launching Barack Obama's political career from his living room to Chessa Boudin running San Francisco's DA office to LaToya Cantrell traveling to Cuba to study economics before being indicted on 16 counts of malfeasance. The pattern, once you see it, cannot be unseen. And Maine Democrats selected Troy Jackson as their replacement Senate candidate for Graham Plattner — a man accused of mortgage fraud for lying about his primary residence to get a lower interest rate. Mortgage fraud, apparently, is the ceiling Maine Democrats are working with this cycle. We also take on Mayor Mamdani's declaration that he intends to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if he sets foot in New York City — based on an International Criminal Court warrant that the United States does not recognize. We explain why this is constitutionally illiterate, diplomatically catastrophic, and practically impossible. The Constitution gives Washington, not City Hall, the authority to conduct foreign affairs. The UN sits in New York City precisely because heads of state must be able to travel there safely. If one mayor can arrest one head of state, no head of state will ever return — and the UN becomes a ghost town. Mamdani's job is to serve the people of New York City. Destroying the diplomatic credibility of the most important city in the world is not that. Our American Mama Teri Netterville makes the case that small talk is a lost art — and a more important one than most people realize. It's not filler. It's the appetizer to the main course. Terry talks about watching her shy daughter Summer learn to work a room by watching her mother walk across it toward the person standing alone. She credits her father, who could run any room because he made whoever was speaking to him feel like they were the only person there. She points to Princess Catherine and Bill Clinton as two of the best practitioners alive — and makes the case that if parents don't put the phones down and model this for their children, an entire generation will grow up incapable of the human connection that holds communities together. We also note that if Joe Biden had done the same thing, the coverage would have called it proof of his vitality and connection to the world stage. In our Digging Deep segment, a new Echelon Insights poll reveals something stunning about young Democrats — they have a net negative view of capitalism of minus 31%, a net positive view of socialism of plus 35%, and a net positive view of free markets of plus 22%. All three of those positions cannot be simultaneously true. Free markets are capitalism. Socialism is the opposite of free markets. The same poll shows young Democrats under 50 support the Democratic Socialists of America with a net favorability of 54% while Democrats over 50 give the DSA only 28%. The Make America Healthy Again movement is the only political movement in the country with a net approval rating above 50% — and it's below 50% among Democrats. Apparently, Democrats don't want anything associated with Trump — including healthy food. We also push back on Republican strategists panicking about Iran hurting the party in the midterms. The American people are not bloodthirsty and they don't want endless wars. But there is a world of difference between opposing endless wars and surrendering to a regime that has chanted death to America every day for fifty years and was on the verge of obtaining a nuclear weapon. President Trump has made a reasonable case for a defined military objective. He could make it better. But rolling over is not an electoral strategy either. For our Bright Spot, the Israel Antiquities Authority and Tel Aviv University announced the discovery of massive wooden beams from Lebanon — burned and preserved since 586 BCE — that appear to be structural elements from the First Temple of Jerusalem, exactly as described in the Bible. The beams show an unusually high number of growth rings, confirming they came from the large, old trees of Lebanon that scripture specifically identifies as the building material. The Bible said it. The Chicago prosecutor appears to have violated a court order and publicly discussed a sealed case and has to come in and explain himself to the court.   DOOFUS OF THE DAY: Rep. Anna Paulina Luna demands that the GOP investigate the masked dorks from Patriot Front who marched around DC this weekend. She's pretty sure they're really antifa!   MAIN SHOW:   Trump and his allies have engaged in forum shopping for years. They're currently parking all kinds of administrative and criminal cases in Texas, no matter where the "violation" occurred, because they know they can get in front of a handful of friendly judges. Now they're ginning up conflicts between those "friendly" judges and other courts.   Case in point: the Federal Trade Commission is trying to manufacture a case against WPATH, the World Professional Association for Transgender Health, for "consumer fraud" — by which they mean an article summarizing best practices for gender-affirming care. After Chief Judge James Boasberg in DC quashed their subpoenas on the organization, the FTC tried to get Judge Reed O'Connor in Texas to issue identical ones. This provoked rounds of dueling non-suiting motions, until Judge O'Connor backed down and agreed not to start an internecine judicial war.   Meanwhile in Florida, the state sued the Biden administration in 2024 for failing to allow it to bulk-verify voters for citizenship. When Trump came back to the White House, he entered into a settlement — or "settlement" — with Florida and the other plaintiff states promising to check their voter rolls. But then Judge Sparkle Sooknanan in DC enjoined that verification process as a violation of the Privacy Act and the Social Security Act. So now Florida is asking Judge T. Corrections gets judged by headlines it didn't write, so I'm taking you behind the scenes of a month that reminded me why this profession deserves real respect. From Correctional Officers Week events to national recognition, I share the moments that felt like the “best of corrections” and the lessons we can bring back to our own agencies.We start at the One Voice United conference (link below), where I join Pete Bludworth (Corrections Unfiltered) and Sarah Robuck (Lexipol and Corrections1) to talk about our jobs and our voices. If we don't tell the truth about what correctional officers do, nature abhors a vacuum, and the public story gets filled with TV myths, one-sided news, and silence about the good work happening inside facilities. We also dig into wellness in corrections, efforts to get lawmakers to walk through prisons before setting policy on staffing and funding, and a powerful account from New York's union leadership caught between political pressure and officers pushed past the breaking point.Then we pivot to the stories many people never hear: the role correctional staff played during 9/11 recovery, and how corrections shows up in emergencies with resources and readiness. Chris Bayless is a former Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) Special Agent who spent more than three decades working some of the most dangerous undercover investigations in the United States. An original member of ATF's Enhanced Undercover Program beginning in 2000, Bayless spent years infiltrating violent outlaw motorcycle gangs including the Outlaws, Grim Reapers, and organizations connected to the Hell's Angels, helping build major federal RICO prosecutions against organized criminal enterprises. Raised in a suburb of Chicago by two school teachers, Bayless was influenced early by mentors in law enforcement who shaped his path toward public service. After attending Manchester University in Indiana, where he studied Environmental Studies and Criminal Justice, he joined the ATF in 1987 in the Chicago Field Division. Throughout his career, Bayless worked major federal operations targeting violent crime in cities such as St. Louis, Oakland, Phoenix, Cleveland, and Albuquerque. His undercover work placed him deep inside biker gangs and other criminal networks, requiring years of operating under assumed identities in high-risk environments. Beyond investigations, Bayless served in the ATF Peer Support Program, helping fellow agents process trauma following critical incidents, including the aftermath of Waco. After decades of operating in violent environments and living in constant hypervigilance, he was eventually diagnosed with PTSD near the end of his career. Today, Bayless teaches at the ATF Academy, helping train the next generation of agents while reflecting on lessons from his career about trauma, resilience, faith, and redemption.
