In this episode of the Uploft Interior Design Podcast, I share how much fun I've been having creating TikTok content for Uploft and invite listeners to submit their design questions, then dive into my current pop culture obsessions—the Olympics (especially figure skating) and Netflix's new documentary Reality Check: Inside America's Next Top Model. I answer a listener's question from Palm Beach Gardens about choosing a new sofa and layout for her open-concept living space, encouraging her to move away from a cream sofa, embrace a deeper neutral, add a dining room rug, and break up all the wood tones for a more sophisticated look. I also unpack my complicated feelings about the ANTM documentary, reflecting on my own experience working in the modeling industry, calling out the show's problematic treatment of contestants, lack of accountability, and undelivered prizes, while acknowledging the industry's long-standing harsh realities. When America's Next Top Model arrived on our screens in 2003, it was an instant hit with viewers around the world. The reality TV competition, hosted by supermodel Tyra Banks, saw young aspiring models compete for the chance to win a lucrative modelling contract. Although the show ended almost a decade ago, it's back on our screens in Netflix's new documentary series, Inside America's Next Top Model. The three-part show revisits the modelling competitions' most shocking moments and includes interviews with former contestants and judges that paint a picture of a toxic and harmful filming environment. In today's episode, Irish Times contributor Rachel O'Dwyer and model and actress Amber Jean Rowan join Róisín Ingle to share their thoughts on the show and how the young women who took part were treated. Rowan also discusses her experience on The Model Agent, an Irish reality show which she took part in at just 15 years old. But first Irish Times opinion editor Jennifer O'Connell is here to discuss some of the biggest stories of the week including the newly released EP by U2, the arrest of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and the ongoing search in Co Wicklow for missing Irish women JoJo Dullard and Deirdre Jacob. Upwards of 80% of critical minerals are processed in China - even when they're mined elsewhere. If a global conflict broke out tomorrow, America likely couldn't supply its own defense industrial base.In this episode, Ashley Zumwalt-Forbes joins Logan and Alex to share what she learned deploying $16 billion in grants and tax credits as Deputy Director for Batteries and Critical Materials at the Department of Energy - and why she's now back in the private sector running two critical minerals SPACs worth over $500 million. The conversation covers how China built a state-backed monopoly that Western companies can't outcompete, why the Biden and Trump administrations use different tools to try and accomplish the same goal, and what Project Vault and the recent Critical Minerals Ministerial signal about where policy is heading. Ashley also delivers a warning: the flood of capital into critical minerals will lead to capital destruction, and the industry's reputation may suffer for years. Everything downstream - batteries, defense systems, grid infrastructure, AI - starts with what comes out of the ground.Hosted by Logan Jones and Alex MercerMission Critical is proudly supported by:Valent → getvalent.comAbel Construction → abelconstruction.com

This story sounds like fiction—but it's real, documented, and terrifying. ⚠️ A Chinese Communist Party member, illegally in the U.S., allegedly operated multiple clandestine biolabs—one in rural California and another less than three miles from a major U.S. Air Force base in Las Vegas. Thousands of vials labeled Ebola, COVID, and other pathogens.
In this episode of the Distillery Nation Podcast, Ian Stirsman, the master distiller of Ross and Squibb (formerly MGP), shared his journey into the whiskey industry and discussed the evolution of the distillery from MGP to its current rebranded identity. Ian's path into whiskey was unexpected. He started as a process engineer at a paper mill before being recruited by MGP Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. Working alongside experienced distillers like Greg Metz and Gordon Working, he learned the craft hands-on and eventually became master distiller—a dream job he didn't even know he was looking for. The rebrand from MGP to Ross and Squibb wasn't about attracting tourists. It was about honoring the distilling history in Lawrenceburg that goes back to 1847 with the Rossville Distillery and 1869 with the Squib Distillery. The MGP name, which came along in 2011, didn't reflect that long heritage. Ian explained the challenges of scaling up whiskey production, particularly maintaining quality and consistency as operations grow. From managing grain supplies to controlling fermentation and barrel aging at a large scale, every step requires attention to detail. He talked about the different maturation environments they use—various rickhouse styles and storage locations—to create different flavor profiles. Ross and Squibb holds a unique position in American whiskey. They supply whiskey to many craft distilleries while also making their own brands like Remus and Rossville Union. Ian emphasized they put the same care into every barrel, whether it's for their own brands or for customers. The conversation touched on today's whiskey market, where consumers are looking for quality products at fair prices. Ian stressed the importance of experimentation with different grains and processes, and the role sensory training plays in keeping quality high. His main advice? Make whiskey you love and hope others will enjoy it too. Don't just chase trends—stay true to your vision.
My guest today on the Online for Authors podcast is Leslie R Schover, author of the book Fission. Leslie is a clinical psychologist and brings her knowledge of people and relationships to her fiction writing. She spent most of her career at the Cleveland Clinic and the M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. She published three self-help books and created a digital health company to educate people with cancer about sex and fertility. Will2Love.com won a 2019 Innovation Prize in the Astellas C 3 Changing Cancer Care contest. Her first published novel, Fission: A Novel of Atomic Heartbreak draws on her parents' stories of Oak Ridge during the Manhattan Project and on revelations of Soviet spies there. She lives in Houston, Texas with her faithful dog, Luc. In my book review, I stated that Fission is a wonderful historical fiction. Although set during WWII, this book takes place completely within the United States as we follow Doris and her husband Rob to Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Doris' husband is tapped to work on the Manhattan Project, a top-secret program to create the first atomic bomb. As a reluctant young mother and bride, Doris first has to decide if she will move to Oak Ridge or continue her education. When she finally moves to Oak Ridge, she has to figure out her place in a world very different from Chicago. Will being Jewish be something to overcome? Will her husband's lack of education stop him from advancing? Will Doris figure out her role as wife and mother? What will she do when romance comes knocking - and not from her husband? I was excited to learn this story is based loosely on Leslie's parents, which gives an emotional edge to the characters - and you know how I love a good character! This is a must-read book that will give you an insider's look at The Manhattan Project and how it affected not just the scientists, but all who lived and worked in Oak Ridge. In Minneapolis, federal immigration agents shot and killed Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old U.S. citizen and ICU nurse, while he was filming their operation on a public street. Video evidence shows he was holding a phone — not a gun — yet the Trump administration immediately labeled him a would-be mass killer. This video breaks down what really happened, why the official story collapsed under scrutiny, and how ICE and CBP have been transformed into a heavily armed domestic paramilitary force. It examines the rapid expansion of immigration enforcement, the recruitment of ideologically extreme personnel, and the growing use of war rhetoric to justify violence against civilians — including American citizens. Rick Rule and I discussed several more in this video: https://bit.ly/4riWDVN These critical minerals stocks are exploding higher as the Trump administration takes direct stakes in them and expedites permitting. We are taking the video down November 26th before the Thanksgiving holiday, so make sure you watch it now: https://bit.ly/4riWDVN—NickThe free version of the 343rd episode of Investing in Bizarro World is now published.Every now and then I have a conversation that reminds me just how quickly the world is changing, and how few people actually understand what's coming. My recent discussion with Curtis Moore, Senior VP of Marketing and Corporate Development at Energy Fuels (NYSE: UUUU)(TSX: EFR), was one of those moments.I've known Curtis for over a decade — since back when he was manning booths at the New Orleans Investment Conference and uranium was a four-letter word. We've both been around long enough to see cycles come and go. But the world we're moving into now is different. Faster. More strategic. And for Energy Fuels, more promising than at any point in its history.Curtis didn't even get out elk hunting this year. Not because the season was bad, but because things are moving that quickly in Washington, D.C., and he's been traveling there so frequently in light of the Trump administration's nuclear and critical minerals push. (See the stocks on Washington's buy list here, which includes Energy Fuels)The first thing Curtis and I dug into was Pinion Plain, their flagship uranium project in northern Arizona. The mine is outperforming every early model they ever had: higher grades, lower costs, and thicker zones. Energy Fuels is producing uranium from Pinion Plain for roughly $23 to $30 per pound, a low-cost profile when spot prices are hovering in the mid-$70s. And it's not a small trickle of production either. They're pulling two to two-and-a-half million pounds per year out of that shaft, feeding their White Mesa mill for months at a time. In a uranium market where most projects are theoretical, this one is not only real, but expanding. The company hasn't published new resource numbers, but you can read between the lines that Pinion Plain is far bigger than the conservative three-million-pound figure that's been sitting on the books.Once the ore leaves Arizona, it heads to White Mesa in Utah — the only operating conventional uranium mill in the United States. That alone would make Energy Fuels a strategic asset. But White Mesa is much more than a mill. It's becoming one of the only integrated rare earth separation facilities outside of China. And unlike MP Materials (NYSE: MP), which can only handle the light side of the rare earth spectrum, Energy Fuels' monazite and xenotime feedstock contains the heavies — dysprosium, terbium, yttrium — the ones most critical to defense, robotics, EV motors, and permanent magnets.Curtis disclosed that they've already produced 40 to 50 kilograms of high-purity dysprosium oxide and are on the cusp of producing terbium. He also said something that should have woken up anyone still half-listening: Energy Fuels is the only U.S. company producing heavy rare earth oxides today. That alone puts them in a geopolitical category that few investors understand. Washington does.Which brings us back to Curtis' calendar. Energy Fuels hasn't just been meeting with federal agencies; they've been showing up with real materials in hand — actual kilograms of finished product. In a sea of thousands of theoretical critical mineral proposals, most of which will never be mines, that puts Energy Fuels in rare company. It's no coincidence that the Trump administration approached them, unprompted, to place its Roca Honda project on the Fast-41 permitting dashboard. Curtis believes the project could be fully permitted within a year. Bullfrog and two more breccia pipes are next in line.Continue reading: https://dailyprofitcycle.com/market-commentary/inside-americas-critical-minerals-revival-bizarro-world-343/0:00 Introduction3:48 Uranium Production from Pinyon Plain11:04 White Mesa Mill: The only operating conventional uranium and rare earth mill in the United States19:37 Rare Earth Pipeline: Donals, Toliara, Bahia23:27 Critical Mineral Support from Trump Administration 31:24 Radioactive Medical Isotopes: The Alpha ParticlePLEASE NOTE: There are now two versions: 1. In this episode, The Fact Hunter pulls back the curtain on the machinery that shapes modern life—sports, news, pop culture, medicine, money, and even elections. What looks like a free society is revealed to be a carefully engineered ecosystem where outcomes are managed, narratives are manufactured, and consent is cultivated rather than earned. From the psychological manipulation of 2020 to the quiet influence of corporate media, intelligence agencies, and billionaire power brokers, this episode exposes how every major institution works together to control emotion, thought, identity, and belief. But it doesn't stop at revealing the deception; it shows you how to break free from it, reclaim your discernment, anchor yourself in truth, and see the world through eyes that cannot be fooled. In this episode of The Wright Report, Bryan covers the Pentagon's new Inspector General findings on Secretary of War Pete Hegseth's use of the Signal app, Eric Swalwell's push for voting by phone, new revelations about how the Afghan terrorist in Washington was radicalized, a Senate bill that would end dual citizenship, and promising research on depression and mental health. Pentagon IG Clears Hegseth of Wrongdoing: The Inspector General found that senior Trump officials violated protocol by discussing Yemen strike operations on the Signal app, but that Hegseth had legal authority to declassify what he shared. The report warns that using personal devices creates risk, although no adversary appears to have intercepted the information. Bryan describes the episode as sloppy tradecraft that prompted the administration to tighten internal communications procedures. Swalwell Pushes Voting by Phone: California Democrat Eric Swalwell is proposing phone-based voting, insisting it can be secure. Bryan counters with his CIA experience, explaining that any phone-based voting system would be a prime target for foreign intelligence services. He argues that electronic voting in any form creates undetectable vulnerabilities that nations like China and Russia would exploit. How the Afghan Terrorist Was Radicalized: New reporting shows that Rahmanullah Lakanwal told his wife he was meeting with members of the Tablighi Jamaat, a Deobandi revivalist movement with a long history of extremism. The group has terror cells in parts of the United States, and Lakanwal previously assisted the CIA in killing their members overseas. Bryan explains why investigators are now trying to determine whether cells in Phoenix, San Diego, Chicago, Indianapolis, or on the East Coast are connected to the attack. Senator Proposes Ending Dual Citizenship: Ohio Senator Bernie Moreno introduced a bill requiring Americans to hold only United States citizenship. He argues that dual allegiance creates legal and security conflicts and says becoming an American should be an all-or-nothing commitment. Bryan encourages listeners who support the idea to contact their senators and weigh in. Mental Health Research Offers Hope: Studies show that taking a weeklong break from social media reduces depression and insomnia. British researchers also found that nitrous oxide treatments can rapidly improve severe depression when other therapies fail, and exercise and time in nature remain highly effective for anxiety and mood disorders. "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." - John 8:32 Keywords: Pentagon IG report, Signal app, Pete Hegseth declassification authority, Eric Swalwell voting by phone, NSA hacking risks electronic voting, Rahmanullah Lakanwal Tablighi Jamaat radicalization, dual citizenship, Exclusive Citizenship Act, depression research nitrous oxide, social media break mental health

In episode 240 of America Adapts, host Doug Parsons talks with reporter Terry Jones about the tangled story behind America's first federally funded climate relocation on Louisiana's Isle de Jean Charles. Once hailed as a model for how the nation could move entire communities out of harm's way, the project became mired in politics, confusion, and broken promises. Terry shares what he uncovered on the ground — from residents who never wanted to leave, to state officials unprepared for the task, to the bigger question of whether the U.S. is truly ready for managed retreat. This episode clears up the confusion, revealing what really happened, why it matters, and what the rest of the country can learn before the next community faces these climate impacts. Host Nate Kaufman brings Rich Helppie back for a discussion about healthcare access. A 30-day wait for a first oncology visit after hearing the word leukemia is not an edge case—it's the new normal in a system where demand outpaces supply and incentives reward the wrong behaviors. Nate opens with a personal story that reveals how access feels when the stakes are life and death, then pulls back the lens to explain why it happens: a 12-year training pipeline for specialists, uneven reimbursement that pushes clinicians toward concierge and direct primary care, and payer tactics that encourage consolidation rather than capacity.Kaufman and Helppie then get specific about the economics. Medicaid rates that barely cover overhead lead practices to cap panels, while insurers play separate groups against each other until they merge, gaining leverage but not necessarily improving availability. Primary care, which should function like a straightforward retail experience, is instead forced through insurance mechanics that add friction to simple, high-value services. The result is predictable: over 40 percent of ER visits come from Medicaid patients who couldn't access timely outpatient care, and the most vulnerable pay the highest price in avoidable emergencies.Their conversation wrestles with the big numbers and the real trade offs. Ten percent of patients drive more than 80 percent of spending across Medicare and commercial plans. Pharma's incentives to expand lifelong demand clash with insurers' incentives to deny care. The federal government, the largest health benefits organization in the world, changes leadership every few years, making long-term workforce planning and access expansion difficult. They outline pragmatic moves that can help now: secure continuity with direct primary care or concierge if possible, build a relationship with a PCP who can open specialist doors, and for complex care, shop outcomes rather than prices. If you've felt the squeeze—months-long waits, denials, or a scramble for appointments—this conversation gives language, data, and practical options. Listen to understand why access is collapsing, what levers could ease the pressure, and how to protect your path to timely, high-quality care today. If the ideas resonate, follow and share, and leave a review with your own access story—what worked, what didn't, and what needs to change next.Support the showEngage the conversation on Substack at The Common Bridge!

In Part 2 of this gripping discussion, Tom Bilyeu and Peter Schiff turn their attention to the impending consequences of America's unsustainable economic trajectory. Schiff predicts the collapse of the dollar's reserve status, explains how a global shift toward gold is already underway, and lays out the likely social, political, and financial fallout—both for the U.S. and the world. The conversation ventures into practical advice on how individuals can protect their wealth in the face of inflation and waning trust in traditional financial assets. Tom challenges Peter on bitcoin's role as “digital gold,” spurring a spirited debate on the future of money, generational attitudes about value, and the risks of speculative assets. Schiff also addresses the dangers of expanding government, the illusion of democracy, the social risks embedded in economic collapse, and the myths and realities of corporate greed. Rounding out the episode are controversial takes on minimum wage laws, socialism's rise, China's ascent, and what Americans can do to weather the coming economic storm. What's up, everybody?
