WE WANT TO BELIEVE. Or Mulder does, Scully is still unsure. Our first guest episode of 2023 goes to our very good friend Nish, who demanded we shit sort the X-Files (don't worry, Rachel and Lauren are going to watch the whole thing now). It's impossible not to know anything about the X-Files in popular culture, and especially impossible when you come from the cultural cesspool that is Supernatural, so we know. We just didn't KNOW. We came in expecting one certain house pairing. And then Rachel tried to force it to be another house pairing. But ultimately, Mulder and Scully are actually a very cool, unique house pairing. Say pairing again. Pairing. Anyway. Listen to the episode to hear we how we excited we are about this duo, and especially the dynamic of this duo even despite their houses. We're very excited, this isn't a lie. All hail the aliens and this ultimate het-bait of a show.

This week in our Revival Series, Annie and Jenn chat about (arguably?) the best episode of season 10: "Mulder and Scully Meet the Weremonster."
Apologies for the slight echo!!! In this episode we're talking about one of the hottest episodes of The X-Files; Ice. We'll be discussing Henley shirts, alien parasites and oversized parkas so grab a hot chocolate (hot cocoa) and get cosy. Thank you to everyone who got involved in this week's episode. We are slowly creeping towards Halloween, so in this final episode of the series, I take a look at the supernatural, the strange, the weird and the spooky, where I tackle the big question; “Does the supernatural exist in the Sopranos?” Join me as I become both Mulder AND Scully whilst I investigate the paranormal events that occur throughout the seasons, that is, of course, after a very long and wordy introduction involving the history behind the Uncle_June account, the world famous Uncle Junior Wojak meme and then slam a couple of bad sopranos accounts. All in a day's work.

Retired F.B.I Special Agent Jerri Williams joins us for today's show! Jerri Williams served 26 years as a Special Agent with the FBI. Jerri takes us on her journey from being a juvenile probation agent to becoming a special agent in the FBI. Jerri also reveals the selection and testing process she went through to become a special agent in the FBI.Jerri gives us a behind-the-scenes peek into the F.B.I. and how they solve crimes. Jerri also debunks common tropes associated with the F.B.I.During most of her Bureau career, she worked major economic fraud investigations and was amazed at the schemes and deceptions con-artist and corrupt corporate and public officials would devise to steal other people’s money. During her FBI career, Jerri investigated all types of crimes including bank robberies, and later she specialized in cases targeting major economic crime and corruption. Her investigation of a $350 million Ponzi scheme perpetrated against unsuspecting nonprofit organizations, high profiled philanthropists, and beneficiary donors resulted in a 12-year prison sentence and multiple forfeitures.Toward the end of her federal law enforcement career, Jerri was appointed as the spokesperson for the Philadelphia Division of the FBI, taking on the responsibility of educating and informing the media and public about the Bureau.Jerri also discusses her post-retirement move to becoming a successful indie author, podcaster, and Hollywood T.V. and film consultant.Check out her website, blog, podcast, and books here!!Enjoy the Cops and Writers book series. Please visit the Cops and Writers website. If you have a question for the sarge, hit him up at his email.Come join the fun at the Cops and Writers Facebook groupSupport the show (https://patreon.com/copsandwriters)

A.Ron and Jim discuss the latest episode of the X-Files, “Mulder and Scully Meet the Were-Monster”. While we agree the episode was very funny, and the best of the re-vamped series so far, we are both left a bit wanting for different reasons. A.Ron wanted more Mulder and Scully, and Jim wants more myth-arc. Along the way we try to unpack all the fun easter eggs and references, and figure out where we’re going next. If you want to dig in further to the many meta-references from the episode, this Vulture article is a great place to start.
