This week we are avoiding our feelings for our coworkers while we discuss “Small Potatoes”! We're talking the triumphant return of our boy Darin Morgan(!!!), whether Amanda will be claiming this episode's Amanda, Vince Gilligan's interest in plumber butt, Mulder being assigned cool at birth but transitioning to loser, how disappointing it is for Eddie to choose the lamest tall, handsome man possible to impersonate, and why Scully has to leave the country after this. We hit a Schrodinger's 2 on the FBI Do scale as we get pretty damn close to a kiss, we discuss Mulder and Scully being a perfect match because they're both hot, hot losers, and why they end all their field reports with “Don't worry about it!” Also: Episode 4.20 airs on 4/20? Nice. Nice. Nice.NOTE: Please submit questions/comments/segment suggestions for our Season 4 recap episode by November 20th!Send us an email at scullynationpod@gmail.com or follow us on Twitter and Instagram!
He did not mean to blow Daive's mind but that shit happen to Jack Black all the time. Produced by Kristen Riley and Daive Reed Follow on Twitter @CastFiles Email us at TheeCastFiles@gmail.com https://www.teepublic.com/user/the-cast-files Music by Hal Six Logo by @OokaArt ---- Nobody cooks like Aunt B. At a video arcade in Connerville, Oklahoma, two young men, Jack Hammond and Darin Peter Oswald, argue over a game of Virtua Fighter 2. Oswald is sweaty. I have a new way to survive, don't argue with sweaty people. Production Note: Darin Oswald was named after X-Files writer Darin Morgan. Hammond pushes Oswald to the ground, after which the power in the arcade mysteriously shuts down—except for the jukebox, which plays "Ring the Bells" by James. When Jake Black tells Hammond he “shouldn't have done that,” Hammond says, “why not? What's he going to do?” Then Jake Black explains how toxic masculinity hurts us all. Just kidding. This causes Hammond to leave, but when he goes outside to start his car, he finds the same song playing on the radio. He is then fatally electrocuted through the ignition. Oswald, who witnesses Hammond's death, returns to the game. Zero is unbothered by it all.
This week we are taking One Breath and talking about Season 3 as a whole! We're talking about the writers straight-up forgetting Melissa's death, Kim Manners screaming at cockroaches, Baby Vince sightings, and whether or not Toby Lindala is a Dude™. We answer emails, propose an X-Files drinking game, do episode rankings, go over some rejected episode titles, and play Succession vs. The X-Files (you know, two extremely similar shows). We wonder whether Samantha has been in Ibiza this entire time, miss Normal Hosteen for a while, and find out that Ella's ranking of an episode directly correlates to how much Krycek is in it. Chris Carter doesn't approve of polyamorous Skinner and has stopped answering our calls about it, but we definitely approve.Send us an email at scullynationpod@gmail.com or follow us on Twitter and Instagram!
This week we're snorkeling for lake monsters while we discuss “Quagmire”! We're talking name reveal for Queequeg (who will live forever), how sleepover talk devolves into discussions of cannibalism after forty minutes stranded on a rock, the development of stoner lore, and surprise Darin Morgan. Scully is canonically a literary lady, so we put our literature analysis skills to use and talk about Moby-Dick for a while, deny punching and kicking fish, and get a little serious while we talk about the how we can all find profound hope in the idea that the world is a strange and wondrous place. LEVI STRONG.Note: This is your last chance! This week we are investigating some bleeping dead alien bodies while we discuss “Jose Chung's From Outer Space”! We're talking the slipperiness of truth, how Mulder invented leading the witness, how Scully loves bonding with old men written by Darin Morgan, past-pro wrestler, future-Minnesota governor, present-Man in Black Jesse Ventura, Mulder's girly scream, and Cursin' Kim Manners. We get sad about Darin Morgan leaving us, keep a look out for the planet Venus, and get excited because the Yap is back! WHAT IS wearing out the joke?Note: Submit questions/comments/segment suggestions/etc. for our Season 3 Extravaganza by May 30th!Send us an email at scullynationpod@gmail.com or follow us on Twitter and Instagram!
This week we are avoiding getting eaten by cockroaches while we discuss “War of the Coprophages”! We're talking CMB (Classic Mulder Behavior), how delightful it is to watch Mulder and Scully just hanging out, Mulder's girly scream, revise our Scully snack policy, but most importantly, welcome back Scully's dog! We gush over Darin Morgan's writing as per usual, wonder whether Scully and Kim Wexler would hang out, find out that Mulder definitely has a type, and mourn the poor cockroach that died of old age. Also, follow the link for the classic David Duchovny “Frogs?!” video, in case you haven't seen it.David Duchovny Doesn't Know What Frogs AreSend us an email at scullynationpod@gmail.com or follow us on Twitter and Instagram!
This week we are astrally projecting and murdering people who have wronged us while we discuss “The Walk”! We're talking Scully's love of investigating people for whatever, the general's extremely dark office, how Mulder is a cryptid hipster, if Ghost Ben Franklin is a Twitch streamer, and boggle at how one of the characters straight-up gets away with murder. We talk about the mail robot in The Americans for awhile, figure out whether or not Darin Morgan played the worm in Dune, track Mulder's hatred of cigarettes, and the jingle jangle of bifocals. And remember: if you want to get away with murder, just say “I'm done here” and then you're completely absolved in the eyes of the law. Trust us.Send us an email at scullynationpod@gmail.com or follow us on Twitter and Instagram!
This week we're getting visions of our own deaths while we discuss “Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose”! We're talking The Stupendous Yappi's stupendous eyebrows, how the villain is Remy Linguine, a man with a rat on his head, how Darin Morgan likes to (lovingly) bully Mulder, and fate vs. free will. You know, just light sleepover chats. We get both a Mulder Death Lore Drop (which we don't snicker about AT ALL, because we're adults) and a Scully Immortal Lore Drop?! Plot revelations abound. Also: All Quiet on the Nutter Front. Is this anything?Send us an email at scullynationpod@gmail.com or follow us on Twitter and Instagram!

This week we are unpacking our luggage and our biases while we discuss “Humbug”! We're talking how Mulder is somehow both a weirdo and a normie, Dr. Blockhead's Gob Bluth energy, Mulder and Scully's combined sleep schedules, Scully's magician skills, and how you shouldn't talk to the FBI unless you have a good zinger. We heap love on Darin Morgan's love letter to abnormality, advocate for bullying hot people, create and then immediately disband Wart Corner, and take a run through Chekov's Tabernacle. The conversation is also quickly derailed due to Mulder's posing, because Google Earth is always takin' pics.Submit questions/comments/recipe links/segment suggestions for our Season 2 Spectacular by December 5th!Send us an email at scullynationpod@gmail.com or follow us on Twitter and Instagram!
Mike and Angela Bloom finish off the run of X-Files writer Darin Morgan with two incredibly different Monster of the Week episodes. The post The Bloom Files | The X-Files Season 3 Episodes 12 & 20: “War of the Coprophages” & “Jose Chung's From Outer Space” appeared first on PostShowRecaps.com.
One of our better shows, Darin takes questions and discusses Induction System Design in great detail!
Join Courtney and Alison as they recap S11E04 of the X-Files – “The Lost Art of Forehead Sweat” – and learn about amazing unsolved mysteries such what our friend Reginald Fils-Aimé is up to, how Darin Morgan deals with his post-election pain and why we, frankly, don't care.
We didn't think Darin Morgan could top last season's brilliant “Mulder and Scully Meet the Were-Monster” and yet he did it this week in the amazing “The Lost Art of Forehead Sweat”! Who knew they had another partner all along? This is all in Season 11 Episode 4 which was both written and directed by Mr. Morgan! It aired January 24, 2018. Read More...
