Visit Just Thrive and use CODE ANGELA20 at www.justthrivehealth.com Angela is joined by fitness expert Adam Richardson to discuss his unique approach to health and well-being, which contrasts with the common pursuit of optimisation. Adam shares his personal journey from a background in sports to becoming a personal trainer, emphasising the importance of movement and the idea of "mobility snacks"—small, manageable bursts of activity throughout the day, as well as how to lay the foundations for building a body that will carry you through life. KEY TAKEAWAYS Foundations of Mobility: Focus on hip and spine mobility for overall body health, as these areas are central to movement and stability. Realistic Health Goals: Adam emphasises aiming for “good enough” health rather than striving for perfection, which can feel overwhelming or impractical. Building Habits with Small Steps: Use habit-stacking techniques to add simple exercises, like neck circles or squats, into your daily routine. Embrace Movement Variety: Moving regularly throughout the day, rather than staying still for long periods, can prevent stiffness and promote joint health. The Role of Flexibility in Pain Relief: Adam shares insights on how improving flexibility gradually can alleviate tension and avoid injury. "A healthy person has a hundred wishes, but a sick person has only one" Another wise one man once said, 'One day you will look like a soggy tea-bag, if you are lucky!'. That man was near-death survivor turned mobility and movement guru Adam Richardson, this week's ANWOB guest. In this episode, Adam Richardson reveals his transformative journey from Intensive Care to an enlightened view on what is important, leading him to become a social media sensation and movement and mobility guru. Adam shares his personal battle with meningitis, the life-altering lessons it taught him about mortality, and how it fuelled his commitment to movement. In this episode, you'll learn simple practical exercises that can prevent injury and keep you moving freely for life. Adam's journey from near-death to mobility mastery is packed with insights you won't want to miss. So many people have body hang ups, but it's the only body we'll ever have, so it is bonkers not to treasure it for as long as possible, and not get fixated on how it may or may not look to other people. This conversation blends philosophy, fitness, and Adam's signature cheeky charm. I hope you enjoy listening! On this week's show, I'm joined by Adam Richardson. Adam is the founder of Strive Sales, a dedicated go-to-market recruitment agency headquartered in Manchester with an office in Tampa in the US with over 20 employees. At 33, he has loads of experience in running businesses. He got into recruitment when he was in his early twenties and, within a couple of years, he became an entrepreneur launching his first business outside of the recruitment market. Upon selling this credit finance business, he launched his first recruitment agency and later a second brand which he now focuses on fully today. Through that period, he's seen so many ups and downs, specifically in the go-to-market niche, which is predominantly recruiting salespeople into VC-backed software companies.Over 70% of all the candidates in the sales market in VC-backed companies are underperforming, which means the knock-on effect of recruitment has been astronomical. He saw over 50% of the vacancies he was working on vanish at the beginning of 2022.So as a company, they've had to evolve, they've had to adapt, they've had to become BD focused. In this episode we talk about his experience in all his different businesses, but really how using all this experience enabled him to get through such a very difficult 2022.Now, they're seeing the upside and it's starting to shift along with economic conditions.Adam is a young, super ambitious, super motivated, and knowledgeable guy!I hope you enjoy the episode as much as I did recording it.__________________________________________Hoxo MessageAre you spending hours on LinkedIn and cold outreach and want more business coming to you over your competition? Well, if you're the founder or leader of a recruitment agency, here's what we can do for you at Hoxo.We will give you the training, support and resources to take you from what I call an offline recruiter, reliant on posting jobs and sending in emails to open up new customers, ultimately looking like every other recruiter on LinkedIn - to an online recruiter, being seen by over 25,000 relevant people driving a 200% minimum increase in engagement on your profile and seeing daily lead lists from LinkedIn that you can follow up with in six weeks time. And if you don't perform, you don't pay. How can we make such a bold, results-driven promise like this? Two reasons1) Whilst I've been building the RAG podcast, we've actually done what we say we'll do for our clients in less than two years. We built a business generating from zero to over 1 million views per month on LinkedIn leading to multimillion pound revenues with a sales team of me plus two people without making a single outbound call.2) Our track record - not only have we done it ourselves, but we've helped over 350 agencies and over 4,000 consultants do it as well, all in the last three years. Now, if that sounds of interest to you, make sure you fill in our contact form and we'll tell you how we can help: https://bit.ly/3jpuEWa__________________________________________RecruitHub MessageOver 70 founders have launched their businesses on RecruitHub in the UK, US, and UAEOne of them is Kyle Winterbottom, founder of Orbition Group, a niche, talent consultancy that operates exclusively in the Data, Analytics and Artificial...

Today we have a very special episode for all of you. British Police Sergeant Ralph Kern Interviews American Law Enforcement Officers Adam Richardson And Patrick O'Donnell! As mentioned, on today's show, we have two of the most esteemed guests this show has ever had. We're going to chat with Patrick O'Donnell and B Adam Richardson, the founder of the Cops and Writers Facebook group, along with the books of the same name, and B Adam Richardson, creator of the Writer's detective School and The Writers Detective Bureau Podcast and Facebook group. These are the go-to resources that anyone who wants to write a cop thriller should use. Even those of us who are cops trying our hand at writing should view them as an invaluable resource for articulating our real-world experiences to the page. For those who are a little confused about the role reversal here, when chatting during and after my own show, I realized how fascinating a career and life Patrick and Adam have had and how many questions I had for them. And I can't be the only one in the group who feels like that. It would, pun slightly intended, be a crime not to get that out there for you Cops and Writers. First, can I just express the writing community's thanks for the sheer amount of time and effort you gentlemen put in? The work you do is simply amazing. On today's show we discuss:Who are Patrick and Adam?Tell us about your upbringing. When did that first spark an interest in the Police? Why?What was the application and assessment process? What was the training school like? What was day one on the job like? What was the on-the-job training you received?First ‘sporty' incident? How do your forces work in terms of structure/departments? Response, Detectives, Support, Forensics, etc?Your own career path? Most enjoyable period of your career? An experience that illustrates the real-life harshness of being a cop?Bringing it back telling us an amusing story from your career? What equipment are you equipped with?Ranks and responsibilities? How did you get into writing? What do you get out of it?About your books?About your characters?Realistic books / TV shows / Films which people can use as resources?Tropes that are unrepresentative or you simply dislike. You support writers both aspiring and veterans. What made you go down that line?Discussion on mental health within the Police. Thank you so much for everything you two do.Check out Ralph Kern's website!Visit Adam Richardson over at the Writers Detective Bureau website!
