Paul shares his journey from Dogecoin to Bitcoin, recognizing Bitcoin's privacy issues early on, which led to his support for Monero. He discusses the rise of "privacy season," attributing increased interest in privacy coins to dissatisfaction with Bitcoin's lack of privacy. Paul also explains Edge Wallet's integration of Monero in 2018 and contrasts Monero's mandatory privacy with Zcash's optional model. The conversation covers usability challenges with Monero, such as transaction finality, and touches on the need for better point-of-sale solutions to drive crypto adoption. I had the opportunity to discuss Edge with Paul Puey who is the CEO and co-founder. The Edge team's mission is to provide the world's most innovative tools and systems for secure and private data. It's a place where you can buy, store, and trade dozens of cryptocurrencies in one app.
I caught up with Paul Puey CEO of Edge.App for the latest on Edge wich has morphed into an exchange as much as a wallet. Paul also shares his thoughts on crypto toxicity and tribalism as wall as a little bit of nostalgia of crypto days past.
Location: Los Angeles Date: Thursday, 26th September Project: Edge Role: CEO & Co-Founder Time is arguably our most valuable resource and we are constantly making choices about how we use it. But do we give enough consideration to our time? One of the theories behind our decision making is time preference. Time preference refers to the value of something now compared to its value at a later date. Those who favour high time preference prefer to value their current self and spend money faster, while people with a low time preference will make sacrifices to ensure a better outcome for their future self. It doesn't just relate to personal choices though; time preference is an excellent tool for considering money, specifically when comparing Bitcoin and fiat. Inflationary fiat currencies favour a high time preference. With no supply cap and governments printing more money at will, there is little economic incentive to save. Bitcoin, however, favours a low time preference. Being sound money with a fixed supply, Bitcoin lends itself to saving. While time preference finds its roots in economics, it can be applied to almost anything and is how you prioritise now vs future; from health to journalism, productivity to savings. In this interview, I speak to Paul Puey, the CEO & Co-Founder at Edge who are building a self custody exchange and wallet. We discuss time preference, Bitcoin, health & diet, journalism and Libertarianism.
This is the 2nd hr of our live radio broadcast in Miami from The North American Bitcoin Conference. We have a whole herd of guest's cycle through the show starting with Greg Magershak and Jason Page of Intercoin talking about their project. Then Josh Sigurdson of World Alternative Media and WendyO of I guess WendyO take the mics to discuss independent media. Third segment Jeffrey Veir and Charlie Urdman from Ideas By Nature share the latest with their project. Finally we close with our favorite wallet Czar Paul Puey sharing the big news about the EOS integration to Edge that Chuck from The Crypto Show actually helped develop. All in all it was a great event and we had blast with this broadcast.
While in Las Vegas at World Crypto Con we were lucky enough to catch up with Paul Puey CEO and creator of Edge Wallet one of our favorites and the official wallet of The Crypto Show so please use the wallet. Joel Valenzuela also sits in with his witty impersonations of Chuck Williams the co-host of our show. Paul shares with us some of the hurdles of adding new coins to the Edge multi-coin wallet especially in regards to Monero's new Bullet Proofs protocol. Paul is long time friend of the show and this episode was a lot of fun for us.
On tonight's episode of "The Crypto Show," we talk to returning guest Paul Puey, the founder and CEO of the company behind the popular Airbitz wallet. We talk to Paul about the new rebranding of Airbitz as Edge and dscuss all the new features that the wallet now has with its new launch, including compatibility now with Bitcoin Cash, Dash, Ethereum, Litecoin, and all the ERC20 tokens, new security and privacy features, and a whole lot more. We all discuss some of the upcoming events that Paul will be attending to showcase Edge. Always an interesting, informative, and fun time talking to Paul Puey
Blockchain has created a new world for us all that has only just begun, but it has also fundamentally changed security requirements for our devices. For the first time, data is equal to money, and data security is paramount when all that is between your money and hackers is the ownership of your keys. Edge not only believes that centralized security services are no longer secure enough to hold keys, and users must hold their own private keys, but that the user experience should be as simple as logging into a website or application. Their goal is to make an invisible security layer that uses an encryption key, similar to a password manager, that can hold all the user names and passwords for wallets and blockchain applications, that only the intended user can access. Edge dynamically tunes the strength of the password to the strength of the device through a password hashing algorithm and has a split-key system to recover lost passwords. Paul also discusses the upcoming shift in blockchain security, and the future of both security foundations and features. Edge will be at the Blockchain, Ethereum, and Bitcoin Superconference in Dallas, Texas February 16-18. For more information, visit https://edgesecure.co
Day 1 of the Texas Bitcoin Conference we speak with multiple guests and speakers about their talks, speech or projects including Paul Puey, Marco Peerboom, Jason Sibert, Jose Rodriguez and more.

Hello, welcome to episode 47 of The Bitcoin Game, I'm Rob Mitchell. We recently had the State Of Digital Money, the first big Bitcoin conference in Los Angeles since 2015. Actually, I'm unsure if I should call it a Bitcoin conference, since the majority of the presentations were not directly related to Bitcoin. Luckily for me, I got to moderate a panel on scaling Bitcoin with notable Bitcoiners: Core developer Eric Lombrozo, longtime Bitcoin developer Ryan X. Charles, vocal trader and personality Tone Vays, and Airbitz Wallet's Paul Puey. You'll hear the discussion in its entirety on this episode. Hello, welcome to episode 46 of The Bitcoin Game, I'm Rob Mitchell. In these times of uncertainty and division, Bitcoin could use some fence menders. Especially if they have technical chops and experience in the space. Jameson Lopp is just that kind of person. This episode contains his entire talk from The Future Of Bitcoin, the recent Bitcoin conference held in Arnhem, The Netherlands. The conference audio includes an extended intro from me as the MC of this event, and you'll hear just a bit of my perspective. Keep scrolling down for an embedded YouTube video of Jameson's talk, photos from the event, and more. Note I received that shirt at a meetup, I am not associated with BitPay beyond being a user. Paul Puey while speaking at a Blockchain event for SXSW 2017 decided to stop by The Crypto DD studio. After a quick tour of the Defense Distributed factory we sat down with Paul for a great discussion on the current state of Bitcoin.
This is 2 separate interviews at Anarchapulco 2017. First up is Trace Mayer and Paul Puey with general discussion on bitcoin. Then Stephanie, Tatiana and Ashe sit in for a quick and fun discussion.
Airbitz started out as a mobile wallet for bitcoin and has evolved into a single-sign on security platform for blockchain apps. Paul Puey explains how Airbitz is an easy to use and secure bitcoin wallet. You can logon to decentralized blockchain apps by scanning a barcode and your private keys are instantly created, encrypted, and backed up and all this happens automatically. Airbitz uses exceptionally rich functionality & features. Automatic client-side encryption guarantees that bitcoin keys are always protected from malware making it very secure. Listen to this interesting interview to find out more about Airbitz and don't forget to subscribe to the podcast and post a review.
Given the current focus on blockchain development, it makes sense to support the development of decentralized applications. Wefunder's BitPay integration allows ANYONE from cryptocurrency enthusiasts to mainstream investors to support companies using bitcoin, in full SEC compliance supported by Title III of the JOBS Act. The JOBS Act, passed earlier this year, has updated national securities laws to recognize modern modes of online capital raising and Airbitz is the first blockchain-focused company to take advantage of this. Airbitz, Bitcoin wallet provider and creator of the Edge Security SDK for decentralized apps, is announcing the launch of its equity crowdfunding campaign and CEO Paul Puey comes back to the show (for the first time in 90 episodes, mind you) to talk shop.
The first hour is spent talking with Paul Puey of Airbitz on the new API plug in to integrate Airbitz into other apps. We also touch on Edge Security and the Arcade City, Airbitz partnership. The second hour is spent talking with Travis County Republican Chair Robert Morrow who is also a Presidential hopeful as an Independent write in. Robert lays it all out against Hillary and Trump with some pretty wild accusations. We don't necessarily endorse anything he says but it's pretty entertaining at times. Original air date 8/17/16 on LogosRadioNetwork
On our last night in New York City we get to team up with Tone Vays, Paul Puey and Dimitry Rassah at Tones' apt for our Sunday night live broadcast on 89.1 fm in Austin. We cover a range of topics including privacy wallet function and edge security as well as bitcoin trading and financial markets.

Bitcoin's true value might not be in the currency itself but in the engine that makes it possible. Data security is becoming the sparkle in bitcoin. We discuss this, as well as invite the CEO of Airbitz, Paul Puey, to talk about how he is making it easy to send and secure this currency and other digital assets while maintaining the highest level of privacy.
The Crypto Show is joined by Justin Arman, Paul Puey and George Donnelly
Live at The Texas Bitcoin Conference with Erik Voorhees, Robert Murphy, Paul Puey, Yoshi of Bitmain, Daniel Krawisz, Ernest Hancok and Toni Lane Casserly.
Welcome to episode 11 of The Bitcoin Game, I'm Rob Mitchell. It's great to live in a big city such as Los Angeles because of the opportunity to network with people doing amazing things in the Bitcoin space. While Paul Puey founded Airbitz from San Diego, he still has managed to attend enough Los Angeles Bitcoin meetups that he seems like a local. In January of this year, Airbitz was selected by Plug and Play to take part in their Startup Camp Accelerator in Silicon Valley. Paul still had no problem trekking back to another Los Angeles Bitcoin Meetup, this time to present a compelling view of Bitcoin's place in the future of mobile payments. Paul also talks about the Airbitz mobile wallet, an app for Android and iOS that is aimed squarely at making Bitcoin as easy to use for mobile payments as possible. MAGIC WORD Listen for the magic word, and submit it to your LetsTalkBitcoin.com account to claim a share of this week's distribution of LTBcoin. If you haven't set up an account yet, what are you waiting for? The magic word must be submitted by 8am (8:00 Pacific Time / GMT-8:00) on March 8.
