Rob Cox had a dream of being a professional baseball player early in his life and when that didn't pan out, he found himself in the business of Golf. Not the usual way in which a person becomes a winemaker, which eventually he did. Now almost twenty years later he guides the winemaking at both Paradise Springs Virginia winery and their wine making operation in Santa Barbara, California. Additionally, somehow, he also has a consulting practice in Virginia. A very busy man for sure juggling all of these aspects of his wine career.Paradise Springs is in the upper echelon of wine producers here in the Old Dominion, thanks to Rob's ability to handle many different winemaking challenges at the same time.Rob produces a Norton that is meant for long-term bottle aging. I was fortunate several years ago upon meeting Rob for the first time at Paradise Springs to taste several vintages of their Norton going back to 2008 and I can attest to their age worthyness as the 2008 wine was showing beautifully. It was very impressive. Thanks for being a listener to the Fine Wine Confidential Podcast. For more information go to www.finewineconfidential.com

A sermon on John15:1-27 from Rob Cox.
What happens when a passion for history and storytelling collides with the hospitality & leisure industry? Rob Cox, CEO, talks to us about the development of the heritage sites in their collection, including the trials and rewards of transforming an 18th century derelict prison into a luxury hotel and visitor attraction. The ethos of this business is to give guests an experience which can be educational, emotional and will stay with them for life, underpinned by both luxury and sustainability. But is this all achievable? Listen in to find out.
It's The Grecians v The Gas! An obvious game for Footy on the Med. Why? Because The Grecians (that's Exeter City to non-locals) play in Exeter, which is on the River Exe, which flows down into The English Channel – and from there it's a hop, skip and a watery jump to the Med. The Gas (aka, Bristol Rovers, aka, The Pirates) can claim a similar maritime proximity to the Med. So Alex took himself to the other St James Park to see Exeter City 0 Bristol Rovers 1 on Saturday 3 February 2024. With him was a special guest: Rob Cox, boxer and father of Sonny (named after Liston), playing up front for The Grecians. Enjoy. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/footy-on-the-med/message

Rob Cox will be taking us through the final week with Jesus as He sets His face toward the cross. Jesus is preparing His disciples for the new role He knew they were about to enter into. Ahh arcades we love them. They hold some of the best memories in my heart and then they get ported to the home consoles. One such classic was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: The Arcade Game. It was one neither myself or my guest, Rob Cox, had played before....I wonder if it will be as good as Turtles in Time. As always we have our letter section, stick it up your jinjo and survive or die. This week, we have Rocksteady and Bebop in front of the bat. Which one will live? Debates have raged for years of whether and to what extent Big Tech - often known as the Big Four (Amazon, Meta/Facebook, Google and Apple) - should be regulated. As Rob Cox, global editor for Reuters Breakingviews, says in this episode: “The horse has bolted on this one”. So the matter turns to what kind of regulations should be put in place and for what purpose. Will regulation only serve to shore up Big Tech interests like the Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act did for Wall Street in 2010, or will it force greater accountability, transparency, and end user protection as legislation like GDPR hoped to in Europe? Ailish Campbell, ambassador to the European Union with Global Affairs Canada and Christian Lanng, co-founder and CEO of supply chain startup Tradeshift, debated these issue as they spoke on Centre Stage at Web Summit 2021, moderated by Rob Cox.Use promo code 'TNS' for 10% off your #CollisionConf ticket now.
