Thursday, 31 July 2025 Then He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and it was restored as whole as the other. Matthew 12:13 “Then He says to the man, ‘You outstretch your hand.' And he outstretched it, and it reconstituted, healthy as the other” (CG). In the previous verse, Jesus said to the Pharisees, “Therefore, how much man – he excels a sheep! So too, it permits – the Sabbaths – to do good.” Having said this, He now turns His attention to the man with the withered hand. Matthew notes, “Then He says to the man, ‘You outstretch your hand.'” The account says nothing of healing prior to the command. One might think He would say, “Give Me your hand and let Me help you,” or something similar. Instead, right in front of the Pharisees who had questioned Him about the appropriateness of healing on the Sabbath, He spoke the word of authority. In His speaking, He expected that the man would comply. From there, the man could have said, “I can't, the hand hasn't worked for twenty-five years.” Instead, however, Matthew next records, “And he outstretched it.” At this point, one might expect him to have extended his arm with the hand withered and useless, saying, “Well, if You want me to, here You go. If You can do something, please do it.” Instead, Matthew immediately records, “and it reconstituted.” It is a new word, apokathistémi. It is derived from apo, from, and kathistémi, to place down, such as putting someone in charge of something. As such, it would be a restoration back to the original standing of something. There is a separation from the previous, negative state to what lies ahead, meaning the restoration. In this case, the man's hand was once lively and active. For whatever reason, it became atrophied, desiccated, and useless. But with the mere spoken word from Jesus, the vitality it once had was restored, and the hand was reconstituted, just as “healthy as the other.” Hooray for Jesus! The man must have been astonished at the feeling of life, power, and ability in a hand that was thought to be forever useless. With nothing more than a spoken command, he could go back to a life of tending to chores, holding his wife's hand, and raising his arms in thanks to the God of Israel for His tender care of His people. Life application: Imagine having an arm that is like a dried-up piece of wood or legs that hang down, dead and unusable. There would never be a day when you would say, “I can't wait to do such,” and so because you would know that it wasn't within the realm of possibility to do it. You would simply accept your limitations and remember what it was like when you could do the things you can no longer do. Eventually, you will die, and that will be the end of it. Now consider that because of Jesus, whatever is afflicting you will someday no longer exist. Think of what it says in Revelation 21:4 – “And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” The man's withered hand was suddenly completely whole. Assuming this lasted until his death, he would remember the event with a sense of joyful amazement all his days. Someday, we will enter into a new phase of existence that we cannot even imagine now. This is the marvel of what God in Christ has done. What was lost at the beginning was tragic, but what has been gained on the way to glory actually makes all of the tragedy of this life worth it. This is because we will have something that we otherwise never would have known or been able to grasp. We now have Jesus. Someday, we will have the results of what Jesus did for us in their fullness. We will remember this life, consider the change, and be able to forever appreciate the difference. This man's restored hand is only a small taste of what lies ahead. And all God asks us to do to receive it is to believe the good news of Jesus Christ. Let us thank God. Through faithful obedience to the word, a lifeless hand was restored. Through faithful obedience to the gospel, the dead shall rise, and together with them, those who are His at the Lord's coming will be reunited with their Creator forever. Faith. Have faith in God's word. “But what does it say? ‘The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart' (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, ‘Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.' 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For ‘whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.'” Romans 10:8-13 Lord God, we have heard the word and we believe it. Thank You for the good news that has been presented to us. We are saved by the precious blood of Christ, not by anything we have done. What a wonderful thing to consider. Praise to You, O God, forever and ever. Amen.
Can Your Faith Heal You?Mark 10:52 “And Jesus said to him, 'Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he received his sight and followed him on the way.”How many of us have the faith of this man that Jesus healed? He was sitting on the side of the road, and when he heard Jesus was passing by, he called out to him. The crowd of people told him to be silent, but he kept calling out. How many of us listen when others tell us to be silent? Or worse yet, we don't feel like we are worthy to speak up in the first place, or we are too nervous to speak out and ask for help for fear of rejection. Bartimaeus did not listen when others told him to be quiet. He kept calling out. He believed that Jesus could heal him, and he was not going to let the chance pass him by. Once Jesus heard him calling out, Jesus told him to call him over. When the crowd told him that Jesus would see him, the bible says, “He threw aside his cloak, sprang up, and came to Jesus.” How great is that? How many of us are jumping up at Jesus' call? I know it's different. Jesus was right there, and he got to see him and talk to him. But we can also talk to Jesus anytime we want to. Even though we cannot see him, he is calling us to him. He wants to invite us into a deeper relationship with him. Do we hear this call? Do we jump up, throw our cloak aside, and run to him when we are called? I love the faith that Bartimaeus had. He knew Jesus could heal him. He did not seem to have any doubt that Jesus could cure his blindness. He also didn't seem to doubt that Jesus would want to help him or to question whether he was worthy enough. He saw Jesus walking by and called out to him. Do we do this? Jesus is here for us; he wants us to call out and rely on Him. Are we doing that? It seems each week at my Prayer Group, God is showing up for us, and he is telling us to come closer. He keeps telling us to rely on him, that he is our protection and our refuge. Why are we not calling on him more than? When Jesus healed Bartimaeus, He said, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” How great would it be to hear those words from Jesus? One scripture verse that I think is amazing and that I struggle with is Mark 11:22. This verse is Jesus' reply to the cursed fig tree. Jesus said to them in reply, “Have faith in God. Amen, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it shall be done for him.” This is the type of faith that I strive for, and yet sometimes wonder if it's possible. I wonder if there are humans who can have this type of faith? I know that God can do anything. I truly believe this. And yet, when I think of myself commanding a mountain to be lifted up and thrown into he see, I can't seem to wrap my head around that. I have searched for this type up faith for a very long time now. Probably since the first time I actually heard this scripture and let it sink in. The very next verse is Mark 11:23, “Therefore I tell you, all that you ask for in prayer, believe that you will receive it and it shall be yours.” This again just blows me away. All that you ask for shall be yours if you believe. That seems like a lot of pressure, and at the same time, a huge promise on God's part. As I said above, ever since hearing scripture like this, I have searched for this type of faith. I would love to believe without a shadow of a doubt that God can do all the things that I ask him to do, that he will answer all of my prayers. I find it a struggle to believe as much as I would like to, and I wonder if this is because I have a human brain and we were trained from an early age not to believe in things that we can't see or prove. We were mostly taught that there are certain things that can be done and things that can't be done. I think as humanity grows, we are learning to question that more and more. But it takes time to overcome years of that type of thinking. I thought I would give you one way that I have been able to deepen my trust and faith that God can do all he says he can do. I read books about all the miracles God has done and continues to do. I love to read books about healing. God is so amazing and he is performing miracles every single day, and if we would just be on the lookout for them, we would see them. If we can't see them in our lives, we can read about them in others' lives. Harold Hill's book, “How to Live Like a King's Kid,” is an excellent example. If you read all the amazing things that God did in his life, you can't help but start to believe he will do it for you as well. Harold Hill also talks about his faith journey and how he got to a point where he began to see God do amazing things in his life. Also, reading any books on healing, Francis McNutt, Randy Clark, Mary Healy, Matthew & Dennis Linn are just a few that I have read that have been really good. When you read about God's healing of others and how there are people out there today who are calling upon God to heal people every day, then it strengthens your faith that he will answer your prayers as well. Hebrews 13:8 says, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” We all know that Jesus was performing miracles when he was alive and walking the earth. He raised people from the dead, he cured so many illnesses, he turned water into wine, he did all the things. This verse from Hebrews lets us know that these miracles were not just something he did in the past. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” He is still doing these miracles today, and if we struggle to believe this, then we need to search out the testimony of it because it is out there. Another thing I pray often is Mark 9:24: “Lord, I believe, help my unbelief.”Dear heavenly Father, I ask that you bless all those listening to this episode today. Lord, we ask that you increase our trust in you. Lord, we believe, help our unbelief. Lord, we need you to show us the way. We would like nothing more than to have the faith to move mountains, and we know that you are the only one who can give us that faith. So we're asking you, Lord, we are asking for the faith to move mountains. Lord, give us the courage to ask when we need healing or when someone else needs healing. Help us to turn to you first and ask you to heal them. Lord, we give you permission to use us as your instruments of healing, as you used countless people before us. Jesus, you are the great physician, and we ask that you continue that work through us. There are too many people dying in the world today. Let us help you help them. Let us be your hands of healing Lord Jesus. We love you and we ask all of this in accordance with your will and in Jesus' holy name, Amen. www.findingtruenorthcoaching.comCLICK HERE TO DONATECLICK HERE to sign up for Mentoring CLICK HERE to sign up for Daily "Word from the Lord" emailsCLICK HERE to sign up for my newsletter & receive a free audio training about inviting Jesus into your daily lifeCLICK HERE to buy my book Total Trust in God's Safe Embrace
Welcome to The Daily, where we study the Bible verse by verse, chapter by chapter, every day. Today's shout-out goes to Dave Schuknecht from Waverly, IA. Thank you for standing with us throughout Project 23. You're helping grow faith that's deep, rooted, and bold. This one's for you. Our text today is Mark 11:20-24: As they passed by in the morning, they saw the fig tree withered away to its roots. And Peter remembered and said to him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree that you cursed has withered.” And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. — Mark 11:20-24 The fig tree is dead. Withered from the roots up. The very tree Jesus had cursed the day before is now nothing but dry branches and lifeless bark. Peter is stunned. But Jesus isn't. And Jesus doesn't say, “Look what I did.” He simply turns to his disciples and teaches them about faith in God. The kind of faith that moves what human strength never could. He speaks of mountains. Obstacles. Impossibilities. And he says, if you believe and do not doubt, it will be done for you. This isn't name-it-claim-it theology. It's an authentic, mountain-moving prayer, rooted not in wishful thinking but in confident trust in God's character and power. Jesus invites us to a faith that doesn't just believe God exists, but believes God is able. Not a faith that measures the size of the problem by our ability, but one that sees every problem in light of God's power. Some things in your life feel too big to move: That relationship. That addiction. That bitterness. That long-unanswered prayer. But Jesus says the issue isn't the size of your obstacle—it's the object of your faith. The point isn't to fixate on the mountain. It's to seek the One who made the mountain. And to trust him, whether the mountain moves or not. Because faith isn't confidence in your prayer or in getting what you want. It's trust in God's power, presence, and purpose—no matter what. #MountainMovingFaith, #PrayBold, #Mark11 ASK THIS: Why did Jesus use the fig tree to teach about faith? What “mountain” are you facing right now? Is your faith focused on results—or on the God who hears? What changes when you trust God's power more than your own? DO THIS: Pray boldly today for something that feels too big. Name the mountain—and ask God to move it, then trust Him either way. PRAY THIS: Father, I trust your power even when I can't see progress. Grow my faith—not just to pray boldly, but to believe you fully. Amen. PLAY THIS: “Do It Again.”

In this lesson, we continue our exploration of the Hebrew concept of faith—one that goes far beyond mere intellectual assent to a set of beliefs. Biblical faith is not just believing that something is true; it is a movement of the soul into the living reality of God through Jesus. One of the more provocative insights in this teaching centers on the Greek genitive case—specifically in passages like Mark 11:22. Most English translations render Jesus' words as, “Have faith in God.” But the Greek text reads: echō pistin theou—literally, “have faith of God.” The word “God” is in the genitive case, which usually denotes possession. This raises a powerful question: Whose faith is it? If the genitive is taken seriously, then the faith being referenced is God's faith— not something we muster on our own, but something God possesses and shares with us. This reorients our entire understanding of faith. We are not the source; God is. Faith becomes a gift—a relational and reciprocal dynamic. As we turn toward God in trust, He supplies the very faith needed to continue walking with Him. This deeper reading appears in numerous New Testament passages, though it is often obscured in translation. Join us as we uncover this overlooked dimension of faith and rediscover it as a shared life between us and God. -------------------------------------------------------------- www.figtreeteaching.com Join the Fig Tree Coffee Club: https://www.figtreeteaching.com/store/p3/Fig_Tree_Coffee_Club.html Support Fig Tree Ministries: https://donorbox.org/support-figtree-ministries Fig Tree Amazon Portal: https://amzn.to/3USMelI Lesson Handout: https://www.figtreeteaching.com/blog/the-faith-of-god-rethinking-the-source-of-our-faith Article - Rethinking Faith (PDF) https://www.figtreeteaching.com/uploads/1/1/9/7/119763168/fig_tree_ministries_rethinking_faith.pdf YouTube Video: https://youtu.be/tk3z2SkvRN0
# Miracles Week 6: Embracing Faith and Bold Prayer In this week's sermon, we delve into the profound themes of faith and prayer, exploring how these elements are essential in experiencing God's miracles. The sermon draws heavily from the story found in **Mark 11**, where Jesus curses a fig tree and teaches his disciples about the power of faith-driven prayer. ## Key Scripture: **Mark 11:20-24** Jesus's interaction with the fig tree serves as a powerful illustration of faith and prayer. When Peter remarks on the withered tree, Jesus responds with, "Have faith in God." He emphasizes that faith, coupled with prayer, can move mountains, encouraging His followers to pray boldly and without doubt. ## The Power of Thin Places The sermon introduces the concept of "thin places," where the spiritual and material worlds meet, allowing us to experience God's power and grace. These are moments where the divine becomes tangible, and miracles occur. Understanding when and why God acts is crucial for believers who seek to witness His divine action consistently. ## **Faith and Prayer: The Keys to Divine Action** - **Faith in God**: Jesus teaches that unwavering faith is the foundation for experiencing miracles. It is not merely intellectual assent but an active, sometimes risky, trust in God's promises. Faith expresses itself through obedience, regardless of the circumstances.- **Bold Prayer**: The sermon challenges us to evaluate our prayer lives. Are our prayers safe and predictable, or do they reflect a boldness that trusts in God's ability to do the impossible? Jesus calls us to pray with the confidence that God hears and responds. ## Lessons from Joshua The sermon also references **Joshua 10**, where Joshua's bold prayer for the sun to stand still results in a miraculous victory for Israel. This story serves as an example of how faith and bold prayer can lead to divine intervention. ### Three Lessons from Joshua: 1. **Take God at His Word**: Joshua's faith was rooted in God's promise. Believers are encouraged to trust God's word and act upon it, knowing that He is faithful to fulfill His promises.2. **Ask Boldly**: Joshua's public prayer demonstrated his confidence in God. We are encouraged to pray boldly, trusting that God will act according to His will.3. **Confidence in Relationship with God**: Despite past failures, Joshua's relationship with God gave him the confidence to pray for the impossible. This underscores the importance of a right relationship with God, which is made possible through Jesus. ## Living Out Faith and Prayer The sermon concludes by urging believers to live out their faith actively and to pray with boldness. It challenges us to consider what bold prayers we need to pray and what risks we need to take in our faith journey. In closing, the message is clear: through faith and prayer, we can experience the miraculous power of God. As we step into "thin places," we witness His grace and are empowered to live for His glory.
There is always a reason and that is also true for high blood pressure…The body wants to cope with some defects (physical, emotional, or chemical stress, diseases, toxic thick blood, damaged kidneys…) then the body increases the blood pressure (Dr. John Bergmann) … Actually, the body is doing good to elevate the blood pressure…And if you lower down your blood pressure with medication the medication can kill you! After the American Doctor Association people live longer with high blood pressure (165) than with low Blood Pressure (110)…After the Indian heart Doctors, the best blood pressure should be 140…And since 2004 is after the American Doctor Association the best blood pressure 150/75 before it was 120/80…2014, the American Heart Association think that 130/80 is the best…Have faith in God and not in medical Doctors!!!When I suffered from low blood pressure that is for me 120 then I saw very often stars when I got up… With Acupressure, I increased my blood pressure to 140 and I feel much better… Because people with my size of 195cm need higher blood pressure… If we want a solution we have to find the cause, instead to fight the symptoms…And if we check our whole body for the causes of high blood pressure, we can find the solution…Otherwise, if we are permanently under physical, emotional or chemical (toxins, medications, junk food) stress… guess, we have to reduce our stress level… Otherwise, our stress will destroy our body… and it is not true that high blood pressure is causing our death!!!! High blood pressure is an indicator that we under stress… Ask yourself:How to reduce your physical, emotional or chemical stress?Maybe we have to adapt to a healthy lifestyle?!With a plant-based diet and enough body exercise…And there is no other option…I am 61 years old and still, my blood pressure is on 140 like it was for 60 years ago…Why? Because of my healthy lifestyle! How to lower your blood pressure?Deep breathing because it relaxes your body! How to breathe deeply with your diaphragm?Because we have to learn to breathe like a baby with our diaphragm…Breath in with your nose:Put your hand on your belly, and first fill your belly, then your chest with air. The diaphragm contracts and moves downward. Breath out with your mouth:Push the air out while you lower your chest and then squeeze your belly… the diaphragm muscles relax and move upwards.Do this for 10 to 15 minutes and it will lower your whole blood pressure for the whole dayOr spend 300 to $400 for a machine RESPeRATE link at the end…My Video: How to lower High Blood Pressure? https://youtu.be/Nz2f62jWsUEMy Audio: https://divinesuccess.net/wp-content/uploads/2021/Podcast.B/How-to-lower-High-Blood-Pressure.mp3

Once you've prayed—act like it's done. Faith keeps things rolling. “When you pray for something, you must believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Mark 11:24Stop “checking” if your prayers are working. That's doubt—not faith; faith keeps moving and believes the outcome before it happens. Have faith in God and allow your faith to work for you.
We don't experience these things because we don't dare to trust God's word. We lack confidence in Him to act on His promises. The faith that unlocks the mind-blowing says, "Even if God doesn't save us, we won't bow. Have faith in God

Is your heart weighed down by anxiety, fear, or uncertainty? In this powerful Easter reflection, Fr. Jonathan Meyer reminds us of Jesus' words: “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Have faith in God; have faith also in me.” If you're feeling overwhelmed by the struggles of life—relationships, finances, stress—this message is for you. Learn how to shift your focus from uncertainty to what is true and certain: God's love, your existence, and the promises of Jesus Christ.
I greet you in Jesus' precious name! It is Friday morning, the 9th of May, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We start in the Book of Isaiah 43:1: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine.” What a promise from God! Do not be afraid. Then we go to the New Testament, to 2 Timothy 1:7: ”For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” Now the opposite of fear is faith. That's right. The Lord says in Mark 11:22 “Have faith in God”, not in anybody else, not even in yourself, in God! Many many times, the Lord, when he had prayed for the sick said, “Go in peace, your faith has made you well.” He said that to Bartimaeus, the blind man, in Mark 10:52: “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” We really need to put our eyes on Jesus and not on that fearful thing that is plaguing us at the moment. Do you know folks, do you remember Neil Armstrong? Who was Neil Armstrong, young people? Well, he was the Captain of the space shuttle Apollo 11. He was the first man ever to walk on the face of the moon. Go out tonight and have a look at that moon. He walked on top of that moon. His famous quotation was, ”That's one small step for man. One giant leap for mankind.” Do you know that 530 million viewers worldwide heard that around the world. That is an incredible step of faith, step into the unknown.Well, I want to tell you another little story. I've got three daughters and when they were small little girls, I would jump into the swimming pool and they would come and stand on the edge and I would say, ”Come on now. Jump in and I'll catch you.” And you know what little girls are like, they want to jump in but they're too scared. Then they are standing on the spot and their little feet are going up and down and they are holding their hands and they are saying, ”Dad, I'm scared. I'm scared, Daddy.” I'd say, ”Don't be scared. Just watch me and jump and I'll catch you.” And then they would take one giant leap and jump into that pool and they would defeat fear.Today, maybe you are full of fear. You don't know what the future holds for you and the devil's telling you, “You're a failure, you'll never make it.” It's a lie I tell you, from the pit of hell. Just take that leap of faith into God's arms. He has promised you that you are His and He will keep you safe. Lord, I pray for my friend listening to this very message now, that You will give them faith the size of a mustard seed, that they can take a giant leap into Your arms today, and their problems and their situations will disappear. In Jesus name, amen.God bless you and have a wonderful day, Goodbye.

And that we can read in the religious/mystical scriptures.Maybe we need the world as a distraction? No mystic could me explain why sex is not necessary, even we enjoy it…And then comes their answer: Don't enjoy worldly pleasures. So what, should we suffer when we have sex? I think we suffer when we have sex. At the same time, we enjoy it. Why should we not enjoy our sorrow?Life is sorrow (Buddha) Amen…Life is sorrow was the Christian trueness until the fall of Constantinople. Still, it is true for all the other Religions. Can we only experience bliss, divine love, God, Satchidananda, Samadhi, Satori when we renounce worldly pleasures? This formula has never worked out … Regardless where I look the people love to suffer and look for reasons to suffer. The Religions deliver that suffering and the people want more… If we suffer, we experience our deep feelings. If we don't have deeper emotions for a long time we long for sorrow…The Religions give people a reason to suffer when they neglect worldly pleasures. And so the sorrow is meaningful instead to suffer just for some worldly pleasures. In any case, we have to suffer … The world and our worldly desires help us to discover the divine or our true self. If we see the world as an expression of the creator, then the world becomes meaningful. What is inside is outside. What we see outside is always inside even more it starts inside. How can we purify us if we don't know what is inside of ourselves when we suppress our worldly desires/feelings/lust?The world is a reflection of us and helps us to purify us from our negativity. We can enter the spiritual realm when we:1.) Deep relax.2.) Have faith in God or our spiritual teacher.3.) Make the right spiritual exercises at best and not just so….4.) Go in the flow through body exercises.5.) Total exhaust our body through sport, dancing, or spiritual exercises. 6.) Try our best to get rid of our negative suppressed emotions and thoughts. And this has nothing do do with “the world is a distraction”…The spiritual realm is for everybody open!My Video: The world is a distraction https://youtu.be/To783OX7xMAMy Audio: https://divinesuccess.net/wp-content/uploads/2021/Podcast.B/The-world-is-a-distraction.mp3

This message challenges us to examine the state of our hearts if Jesus were to look at them today. Using the story from Mark 11, the speaker explores how Jesus' encounter with the fig tree and His cleansing of the temple symbolizes God's justice and restoration.Fig Tree as a Symbol: The tree, full of leaves but without fruit, represents Israel's spiritual state—appearing righteous but lacking true faith and obedience. Jesus curses the tree, signifying judgment on Israel for failing its purpose.Cleansing of the Temple: Jesus enters the temple and overturns tables, not out of mere anger but to restore access to God for all people, especially those being exploited. This is not just judgment but an act of restoration.Call to Faith: Jesus tells His disciples to "Have faith in God," emphasizing trust in His justice and sovereignty rather than worldly systems. The speaker challenges listeners to evaluate their own lives:Are you truly bearing fruit or just looking the part? Are you blocking others from accessing God?Are you willing to let Jesus remove obstacles in your heart?
“Have faith in God.” — Mark 11:22 Faith is the foot of the soul by which it can march along the road of the commandments. Love can make the feet move more swiftly; but faith is the foot which carries the soul. Faith is the oil enabling the wheels of holy devotion and of earnest […]

Jesus approaches a tree that has no fruit on it. He immediately condemns it to never bear figs again. The next day, the tree is shriveled up and the disciples ask about it. Jesus responds with these four words: “Have faith in God.” He goes on to say that incredible things are possible if disciples trust in God. In Jesus' midst are people of faith, like those who lay down coats and worship Jesus as He enters Jerusalem. But there are also hard-hearted Pharisees who have no faith. They defile God's temple with money tables. And they question Christ's authority over them, though He silences them almost immediately. They are like that fig tree, condemned for being spiritually barren. The gospel of Jesus has had the same effect, all over the world, for centuries. Some believe. They lay their coats before Him and worship Him as their King. Believers pray in His name, live with great faith, and bear amazing fruit in His honor. These are the few and they belong to Him. But there are always many who live for themselves, are overtaken by greed, and will not submit to Christ's right to rule their lives. They are plants with every ability to thrive but are fruitless and dead. We must choose, every day, which of the two we are going to be. We are the fig trees, and Jesus has the ongoing right to draw from us richly. Loving Father and gift giver, we praise Your name for the coming of Jesus to be our Savior and King. May we sing as believers did when He entered Jerusalem: “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord…” Indeed He is blessed, and He is a blessing to all who believe in Him. Help us to bear fruit by His power and for His glory. Lead us to be prayerful, to ask forgiveness when our branches grow bare, and to give Him the authority and the right to draw from us things that please Him. Thought Questions: - The plant imagery is helpful. If you are a fig tree that belongs to Jesus, how does that impact the nourishment and growth you pursue daily? - Jesus was deeply offended that the temple of God was infiltrated by greed. Is there a sense in which that has meaning for us in His church? - There is instruction on prayer in this chapter. Why does Jesus call us to forgive “anything against anyone” before we seek God's forgiveness?
I greet you in Jesus' precious name! It is Saturday morning, the 15th of February, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We start in the Book of Luke 17:6: So the Lord said, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,' and it would obey you.”“Have faith in God.”Mark 11:22That's it - have faith in God. Without faith, we cannot please Him. Now Luke 17:5 says: ”And the apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.” Now, even the disciples asked Jesus, ”Please, increase our faith”, because they realised without faith, we can do nothing. Today, maybe you're struggling to believe God for a promise He's given you. Maybe He gave it to you many years ago and your faith is starting to wane, starting to lose power. How do we regain our faith? Well, if you look at Romans 10:17, the Word of God says:”So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Spending time reading your Bible, spending time believing what the Lord has said about you. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, My Lord will supply all of my needs according to His riches in Glory. We need to get started this morning. We need to get back to walking the faith walk. You see, faith is a way of life, not faith in faith, but faith in Jesus Christ, and the Lord always honours faith. Now I'm sitting here thinking about the first campaign I ever organised - it was in that little town of Ladysmith about probably an hour's drive west of where we live. It was ten minutes to seven in the evening. The service was going to start at seven o'clock and I was downstairs in the dungeon. I was waiting for the people to come. The band which we had brought up from Port Elizabeth were bravely on the platform playing music and I climbed up the steps, opened the door, had a look in, there was no-one there. I was devastated. I mean, I'd been praying and we'd been trusting the Lord. I went down and I said, “Lord, if nobody comes, I'm going to preach to the chairs.” This is the honest truth. At seven o'clock, by faith, I walked up, I opened the door and the hall was half full of people. That was the beginning. Well, I want to say to you, we started off with the Mighty Men Conference on this farm with 240 men, and we ended up with 450 000 men at our last meeting on this farm in 2010, and I've got news to tell you, that this year there'll be twenty Mighty Men Conferences happening all over the world. That mustard seed of faith! Trust the Lord, my dear friend, He'll do it for you. Jesus bless you and goodbye

In this episode, Pastor Dom teaches on real faithHebrews 11:1-31 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. 3 By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.James 2:2020 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? James 1:5-85 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.James 3:4-54 Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires. 5 Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things.Psalm 141:33 Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; Keep watch over the door of my lips.Proverbs 18:2121 Death and life are in the power of the tongue,…Mark 11:22-2322 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. 23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.Luke 6:4545 For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
Mountain Moving Faith #RTTBROS #Nightlight "Faith That Moves Mountains: Finding Strength in Life's Valleys" "For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith." - Mark 11:23 In our journey through life, we often find ourselves walking through valleys of loneliness, unanswered prayers, and overwhelming sorrows. B.B. McKinney's timeless hymn "Have Faith in God" speaks directly to these universal human experiences, offering a profound reminder of God's unchanging presence and power. The first verse addresses those moments when we feel isolated on our path. Like David in the wilderness, we may feel abandoned, yet McKinney reminds us that we are "never alone." This echoes the promise found in Hebrews 13:5, "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." Perhaps the most challenging test of faith comes when heaven seems silent to our prayers. The second verse encourages us to "wait on the Lord," reflecting the wisdom of Isaiah 40:31, "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength." In these moments of silence, our faith grows deeper roots. When pain and sorrow overwhelm us, the third verse points to a compassionate God who is touched by our grief. This beautiful truth reflects 1 Peter 5:7, "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you." Our sorrows are not insignificant to Him; they move His heart. The final verse triumphantly declares God's sovereignty even when everything else crumbles. Like Daniel who maintained his faith in a foreign land, we too can stand firm knowing that our God reigns eternally. His kingdom, as described in Daniel 7:14, "shall not be destroyed." Today, whatever mountain stands before you – be it loneliness, unanswered prayers, personal suffering, or widespread uncertainty – remember that faith in God is not just a suggestion but a lifeline. The chorus reminds us of an unchangeable truth: "He cannot fail, He must prevail." Let this hymn be more than just words on a page. Let it be your declaration of trust in the God who sits enthroned above every circumstance, who sees every tear, hears every prayer, and holds every tomorrow in His capable hands. Prayer: Heavenly Father, strengthen our faith when the path grows dark. Help us remember that You are sovereign over every situation, faithful in every promise, and present in every moment. May we, like Abraham, be "strong in faith, giving glory to God" (Romans 4:20). In Jesus' name, Amen. Have Faith In God B. B. McKinney, 1886-1952 Verse 1 Have faith in God when your pathway is lonely, He sees and knows all the way you have trod; Never alone are the least of His children; Have faith in God, have faith in God. Chorus Have faith in God, He's on His throne; Have faith in God, He watches o'er His own; He cannot fail, He must prevail; Have faith in God, have faith in God. Verse 2 Have faith in God when your prayers are unanswered, Your earnest plea He will never forget; Wait on the Lord, trust His Word and be patient, Have faith in God, He'll answer yet. Verse 3 Have faith in God in your pain and your sorrow, His heart is touched with your grief and despair; Cast all your cares and your burdens upon Him, And leave them there, oh, leave them there. Verse 4 Have faith in God though all else fail about you; Have faith in God, He provides for His own; He cannot fail though all kingdoms shall perish, He rules, He reigns upon His throne. Jesus said in John 14:12, “If you believe in Me, you will do the SAME Works I do, and GREATER Works, because I go to My Father. And whatsoever you ask in My Name, I WILL DO IT!” Jesus promises to answer your prayer Himself. Why? In order to glorify the Father through YOU. Prayer is not some formality, wishful thinking, or empty repetition. Jesus said, “WHATSOEVER you ask in My Name, I WILL DO IT!” Ask Jesus, ask the Father in His Name. Why do people pray to Mary and the saints? Scripture says they are ‘asleep in Christ', waiting for the bodily Resurrection, when the dead whose names are written in the Book of Life shall rise first, and we who are alive shall be caught up together with them to meet the Lord in the air! Daniel 12:2; 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17. But at this moment in time, Jesus alone is alive bodily in Heaven, the Firstfruits of the dead. 1 Corinthians 20. He alone is able to answer your prayer. Hebrews 7:25. It is a direct relationship with Jesus that you need – approach Him in absolute confidence for the answer! Your strong dynamic prayer will avail, it will work! That mountain in your life will move! Jesus said, “Have faith in God. For truly I say to you, that whosoever shall say to this mountain, be removed and cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he says shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he says. Therefore I tell you, what things soever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them.” Mark 11:22-24. Be specific. Be strong. Pray with faith. God will answer you.
Pastor Hans encourages us to pursue all that God has put in our hearts in the new year. Have faith in God and know quitting is not an option.
Garth Heckman The David Alliance TDAgiantSlayer@Gmail.com Mark 11 and Luke 13 tell of Jesus on his way to the temple… he sees a fig tree… 12 The next day as they were leaving Bethany, Jesus was hungry. 13 Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to find out if it had any fruit. When he reached it, he found nothing but leaves, because it was not the season for figs. 14 Then he said to the tree, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.” And his disciples heard him say it. 15 On reaching Jerusalem, Jesus entered the temple courts and began driving out those who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves, 16 and would not allow anyone to carry merchandise through the temple courts. 17 And as he taught them, he said, “Is it not written: ‘My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations'[c]? But you have made it ‘a den of robbers.'[d]” 18 The chief priests and the teachers of the law heard this and began looking for a way to kill him, for they feared him, because the whole crowd was amazed at his teaching. 19 When evening came, Jesus and his disciples[e] went out of the city. 20 In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots. 21 Peter remembered and said to Jesus, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed has withered!” 22 “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. 23 “Truly[f] I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. 25 And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.” It bears no fruit… neither does the Nation of Israel The temple had been turned into a shopping mall, not a house of prayer. It was supposed to bear fruit… but it did not. It was supposed to be the time… but it was not. The fig tree was out of season for figs, so why did Jesus curse it? Because typically at that time it was not the season for figs.We know Fig trees produce leaves at the time of the Passover, and small fruits do appear, which will ripen later… so there should have been signs of fruits to come - These fruits are unripe but marginally edible. The leaves promise fruit on the tree, but its barren fruitless… its a “looks like Tarzan plays like Jane”. Its bark is bigger than its bite… its a poser, its a wanna be…. It's Israel at the time Of Christ culminating act of dying for the sins of the world… they should be ready, waiting and open to bearing fruit… but they are hard hearted. The religious leaders of the day are barren. So Jesus curses the posers… don't miss the irony here. God in just a second talks about unforgiveness…but right now he is cursing a tree symbolically as the religious leaders… so apparently you can without anger or bitterness or hate or malice - you can curse something or someone… but maybe that is just stored up for the religious leaders… and fake pastors and fake social media preachers and bible thumping hustlers… sorry I digress. He also shows the power and turn around of a curse - 24 hours. Not bad. But it also shows us the power of a blessing…surely if Jesus can curse something and get results in 24 hours, he can also bless something and get results in 24 hours. And might I remind you that he goes on to say in faith we can do the same…. In fact we can tear mountains up with our faith and cast them into the sea… mere words with faith has immediate actions.. But there is a caveat… a warning or a read this before using notification. And that is this: don't try this with unforgiveness in your heart. It seems that the sin of unforgiveness is the kryptonite of prayer. So maybe our first prayer should not be to move mountains for miracles but rather mountains of unforgiveness… and then we can start moving mountains of miracles…. Something to think about.

God tells us to ask Him for things in prayer! But why do we ask sometimes and not see anything happen? Often we ask but then give up too soon because things don't happen on our timeline. But all too often our asking is motivated by our selfish desires. The key to getting what we ask for is learning to ask and pray with a heart that is in alignment with and submission to the will of God.Faith is not something God expects us to muster up on our own. What does it mean to have faith when we pray? Today Dot and Cara discuss the difference between faith and belief, reminding us that prayer isn't about treating God like a vending machine, but about aligning our hearts with His will. Rooted in Mark 11:22-24, this conversation unpacks how prayer can change our perspective, deepen our relationship with God, and help us navigate doubt. Whether you feel strong in your prayer life or are still working through uncertainty, this episode will encourage you to keep pressing in. If we want to grow in faith, it is imperative that we ask ourselves - what competes with faith in our lives? What hinders us from being able to walk in faith? If faith comes by listening to the Word of God, then the reverse is true as well. Our faith is decreased when we listen to things that are contrary to the Word of God. Unbelief and doubt come into our lives when we give our ear to other things. What are you focused on? Your own opinions or the opinions of other people? The lies of the enemy? Shift your focus to the Faithful One and to His word, and your faith will increase!Faith is not something God expects us to muster up on our own. In fact, true faith doesn't come from us at all! Augustine said: “Faith is to believe what you do not see. The reward for this faith is to see what you believe.” When Jesus commanded us to Ask in Faith, He also gave us an invitation - an invitation to draw near to the Faithful One and allow Him to persuade and convince us of His power and His ability to perform that for which we pray. Join us as we open up this new command to Ask in Faith. You will be encouraged to allow God to reveal His faithfulness to you, and thus, increase your faith.Faith is not something God expects us to muster up on our own. The ReadingsEphesians 2:19–3:7So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit. For this reason I, Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus on behalf of you Gentiles— assuming that you have heard of the stewardship of God's grace that was given to me for you, how the mystery was made known to me by revelation, as I have written briefly. When you read this, you can perceive my insight into the mystery of Christ, which was not made known to the sons of men in other generations as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit. This mystery is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel.Of this gospel I was made a minister according to the gift of God's grace, which was given me by the working of his power. The Word of the LordThanks Be to God Mark 11:11–23And he entered Jerusalem and went into the temple. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead.I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen. ExamenIn God's presence, think through the day ahead:the work you will do, the people you will encounter, the dangers or uncertainties you face, the possibilities for joy and acts of kindness, any particular resolutions you need to renew, consider what might draw you from the love of God and neighbor, the opportunities you will have to know and serve God and to grow in virtue, remember those closest to you and all for whom you have agreed to pray, ask God's blessings, guidance, and strength in all that lies before you. Gather up these thoughts and reflections in the wordsOur Savior taught us to say: The Lord's PrayerOur Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen. The Collects of the DayGrant us, O Lord, to trust in you with all our hearts; for, as you always resist the proud who confide in their own strength, so you never forsake those who make their boast of your mercy; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen. Lord God, almighty and everlasting Father, you have brought us in safety to this new day: Preserve us with your mighty power, that we may not fall into sin, nor be overcome by adversity; and in all we do, direct us to the fulfilling of your purpose; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. Closing PrayersA Prayer of St. ChrysostomAlmighty God, you have given us grace at this time with one accord to make our common supplication to you; and you have promised through your well-beloved Son that when two or three are gathered together in his Name you will be in the midst of them: Fulfill now, O Lord, our desires and petitions as may be best for us; granting us in this world knowledge of your truth, and in the age to come life everlasting. Amen. Glory be to the + Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, now and always and forever and ever. Amen.Lord, have mercy! (3x)God, be gracious to us and bless us and shine Your countenance upon us and have mercy on us.This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it!The Father+ is my hope; the Son, my refuge; the Holy Spirit, my protection: All-Holy Trinity, glory to You!Amen!
Send us a textGod doesn't cause bad things to happen, neither does he allow them to happen. We may ask ourselves: what if someone close to me dies and they were believing for healing? This happened to me just recently. A good friend of mine was diagnosed with cancer about a year and a half ago. Their family was believing for healing, she was believing for healing but ended up passing away. It seemed like God didn't heal her. However, what we didn't know was that my friend had given up fighting. She was tired of fighting when she knew she could be made free in heaven. Ask God if there is something that you're missing. He will show you!Think about Job, why did all of that bad stuff happen to Job? He had allowed fear to control his life, which opened the door to the enemy to be able to work in his life. Think about the woman with the issue of blood. She needed a mindset shift in order to receive God's healing. She was in a place where she continually expected bad things to happen. She had to shift that and begin to speak life over herself. God is constantly showering blessings down upon you. Picture an umbrella and under that umbrella is all of God's blessings that He has for you. Is there an area of your life keeping you from stepping under that umbrella? For example, do you need to dig into the Bible concerning a topic, because you really don't know what it says?Is there someone that is causing you pain and you need to forgive them?Is there a secret sin that you are struggling with and you haven't told anyone in order to get help to overcome? Is there pride in some area of your life or vanity? Maybe feeling less about yourself than what God says about you?Is it doubt that what you are believing for will actually happen?Ask God to reveal to you if there's something in your life that is holding you back from stepping into those blessings. Maybe it's pride. I don't know. Ask God to reveal to you your blind spots. Things that maybe you can't see but are holding you back.Mark 11:22-24 says, "And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Mark 11:1–25 (Listen) The Triumphal Entry 11:1 Now when they drew near to Jerusalem, to Bethphage and Bethany, at the Mount of Olives, Jesus1 sent two of his disciples 2 and said to them, “Go into the village in front of you, and immediately as you enter it you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat. Untie it and bring it. 3 If anyone says to you, ‘Why are you doing this?' say, ‘The Lord has need of it and will send it back here immediately.'” 4 And they went away and found a colt tied at a door outside in the street, and they untied it. 5 And some of those standing there said to them, “What are you doing, untying the colt?” 6 And they told them what Jesus had said, and they let them go. 7 And they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks on it, and he sat on it. 8 And many spread their cloaks on the road, and others spread leafy branches that they had cut from the fields. 9 And those who went before and those who followed were shouting, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! 10 Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David! Hosanna in the highest!” 11 And he entered Jerusalem and went into the temple. And when he had looked around at everything, as it was already late, he went out to Bethany with the twelve. Alice has worked with The Navigators in disciple making ministry for nearly twenty years, with experience in college ministry and cultural competency training. She currently leads a Leader Development Initiative for The Navigators that develops leaders all over the world. She's also a licensed marriage and family therapist. Combining all of her professional experience and her passion for disciple making, Alice's book How to Save the World: Disciple Making Made Simple, featuring original Barna research, seeks to equip and empower everyday people to make disciples of Jesus wherever they live, work, and play.
