And that we can read in the religious/mystical scriptures.Maybe we need the world as a distraction? No mystic could me explain why sex is not necessary, even we enjoy it…And then comes their answer: Don't enjoy worldly pleasures. So what, should we suffer when we have sex? I think we suffer when we have sex. At the same time, we enjoy it.  Why should we not enjoy our sorrow?Life is sorrow (Buddha) Amen…Life is sorrow was the  Christian trueness until the fall of Constantinople. Still, it is true for all the other Religions. Can we only experience bliss, divine love, God, Satchidananda, Samadhi, Satori when we renounce worldly pleasures? This formula has never worked out … Regardless where I look the people love to suffer and look for reasons to suffer. The Religions deliver that suffering and the people want more… If we suffer, we experience our deep feelings. If we don't have deeper emotions for a long time we long for sorrow…The Religions give people a reason to suffer when they neglect worldly pleasures. And so the sorrow is meaningful instead to suffer just for some worldly pleasures.  In any case, we have to suffer … The world and our worldly desires help us to discover the divine or our true self. If we see the world as an expression of the creator, then the world becomes meaningful. What is inside is outside. What we see outside is always inside even more it starts inside. How can we purify us if we don't know what is inside of ourselves when we suppress our worldly desires/feelings/lust?The world is a reflection of us and helps us to purify us from our negativity. We can enter the spiritual realm when we:1.) Deep relax.2.) Have faith in God or our spiritual teacher.3.) Make the right spiritual exercises at best and not just so….4.) Go in the flow through body exercises.5.) Total exhaust our body through sport, dancing, or spiritual exercises. 6.) Try our best to get rid of our negative suppressed emotions and thoughts. And this has nothing do do with “the world is a distraction”…The spiritual realm is for everybody open!My Video: The world is a distraction https://youtu.be/To783OX7xMAMy Audio: https://divinesuccess.net/wp-content/uploads/2021/Podcast.B/The-world-is-a-distraction.mp3

This message challenges us to examine the state of our hearts if Jesus were to look at them today. Using the story from Mark 11, the speaker explores how Jesus' encounter with the fig tree and His cleansing of the temple symbolizes God's justice and restoration.Fig Tree as a Symbol: The tree, full of leaves but without fruit, represents Israel's spiritual state—appearing righteous but lacking true faith and obedience. Jesus curses the tree, signifying judgment on Israel for failing its purpose.Cleansing of the Temple: Jesus enters the temple and overturns tables, not out of mere anger but to restore access to God for all people, especially those being exploited. This is not just judgment but an act of restoration.Call to Faith: Jesus tells His disciples to "Have faith in God," emphasizing trust in His justice and sovereignty rather than worldly systems. The speaker challenges listeners to evaluate their own lives:Are you truly bearing fruit or just looking the part? Are you blocking others from accessing God?Are you willing to let Jesus remove obstacles in your heart?

FAITH By Pastor George Lehman It must be important because without faith we cannot please God! Our FAITH will never rise above the words of our lips. How many times do we speak defeat or negative over our lives. When last did you experience God's nearness, have real intimacy with Him?  Tears fill your eyes as you meditate on Him – when last? What is coming out of your heart – is it faith statements? Without it we cannot please God. Without it we can't protect ourselves either. Ephesians 6:16 – Lift up over all the (covering shield of Faith upon which you can quench all the flaming missiles of the wicked (one). When you leave an opening, the arrow comes in and the results come out of your mouth. Without it a victorious, successful, overcoming, devil chasing fulfilled life will not be possible. If the disciples who, saw Jesus, touched Jesus, walked with Jesus and experienced all the wonders and miracles - if they had to be spoken to so sternly about their faith, what about you and I? Mark 16:14 (Amp) - “Afterward He appeared to the Eleven [apostles themselves] as they reclined at table; and He reproved and reproached them for their unbelief (their lack of faith) and their hardness of heart, because they had refused to believe those who had seen Him and looked at Him attentively after He had risen [[d]from death].” Hebrews 11:6 (Amp) – But without FAITH, it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him.  For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him (out). Notice the condition in this verse. It does not say that God is the rewarder of everyone but "of those who diligently seek Him." Living faith is direct; it has its foundation in diligently, actively, consistently, and zealously seeking Him in study and prayer and in conforming to His will. If God demands we have faith when it's impossible for us to have faith, then you and I have every right to question and challenge God and His Word. But, if God has placed within our ability and means, and our choice that faith can be produced, and He did, then the responsibility rests with us, whether we have FAITH or not. Luke 22:31-32  -“31 Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to *sift all of you as wheat. 32 But I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. And when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.” *Sifting: To see what's really in you Peter If we don't have faith or we don't exercise the faith we have, it's not God's fault – it's our fault. Romans 12:3 – God has given us a measure of FAITH. Going back to the day you received salvation – none of us could ever have been saved if it wasn't for our FAITH. Rom 10:8-9, 10 , 13, 17 Romans 10: 8-10 - “8But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,”[d] that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. What 3 steps does a person take to receive salvation: (Let me just say this – they are all faith in action steps) Confess Believe Receive For whom is it available?  Verse 13 says  for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”  So where did all this FAITH come from to confess, believe and receive? Verse 17:  Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ. – by hearing and believing the WORD of God. Titus 1:1 – Paul, a bond servant of God and an apostle (a special messenger) of Jesus Christ (the Messiah) to *stimulate and *promote the FAITH of God's chosen ones and to lead them on to accurate discernment (onderskei) and recognition of and acquaintance with the “Truth” which belongs to and harmonizes with and tends to godliness. *Stimulate = live with excitement *Promote = advance, to a higher position Paul says “Our faith is foundational to accurate living to walk in the TRUTH.  The result will be Godliness or a lifestyle of Holiness. We proclaim we believe but when the “Tire hits the tar”, we seldom mix the Word or our belief with “FAITH”. You see – mere belief is not “FAITH” - even when a man believes in the right God, he might still be “faithless”.   Jack Coe, Jr said: “A person can believe that the true God of the Bible exists until you are blue in the face, BUT, until that belief leads to  Works (Deeds) of OBEDIENCE and TRUST, it's far from biblical FAITH”   The Bible drives this point home: James 2:19 – You believe that there is one God.  You do well.  Even the demons believe and tremble. James 2:17 – So also, faith, if it does not have WORKS (deeds and actions of obedience to back it up), by itself is destitute of power (inoperative, dead). James 2:26 (Msg) – The very moment you separate body and spirit; you end up with a corpse.  Separate Faith and Works and you get the same thing – a corpse. Maybe that's why some of you are experiencing a dead kind of relationship with God? What is FAITH Hebrews 11:1 (LB) – What is faith? It is the confident assurance that something we want is going to happen. It is the certainty that what we hope for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead. Children of God, it's high time we start living like FAITH people;  like Jesus is alive in 2025. We can say we know God's Word is right and good and true, but unless we act on the Word by faith, be obedient and reap its results, we will never really know and be victorious or obedient over comers. FAITH in God is simply faith in His WORD. To sum up: Romans 10:17 – FAITH comes by hearing and by hearing the WORD of God. One of the major benefits of reading the Bible, “Gods Word”, is that it teaches us how to respond in FAITH in advance to life's challenges: Dig a well before you are thirsty. Plant a seed before you are hungry. Don't wait until your whole life is turned upside down, to then try make out which way is up. When fear comes, expect the opposite – let FAITH rise up inside you. When symptoms attack your body – expect the opposite.  Have FAITH in God's healing power to touch you. When lack comes in – expect the opposite.  Have FAITH in God's provision to meet your needs – Philippians 4:19 - And it is he who will supply all your needs from his riches in glory because of what Christ Jesus has done for us. When confusion comes, expect the opposite.  FAITH in God's wisdom, peace and comfort. 2 Corinthians 5:7 – We Walk by FAITH and not (feelings) or sight. Poem: Doubt sees the obstacles (FAITH sees the way) Doubt sees the darkest night (FAITH sees the day) Doubt dreads taking a step (FAITH soars on high) Doubt questions: “Who believes?” FAITH answers: “I” We can't just pray for more faith. We must do what the Word teaches us Romans 10:17 – Faith comes by hearing and by hearing the Word of God.

Jesus approaches a tree that has no fruit on it. He immediately condemns it to never bear figs again. The next day, the tree is shriveled up and the disciples ask about it. Jesus responds with these four words: “Have faith in God.” He goes on to say that incredible things are possible if disciples trust in God. In Jesus' midst are people of faith, like those who lay down coats and worship Jesus as He enters Jerusalem. But there are also hard-hearted Pharisees who have no faith. They defile God's temple with money tables. And they question Christ's authority over them, though He silences them almost immediately. They are like that fig tree, condemned for being spiritually barren.  The gospel of Jesus has had the same effect, all over the world, for centuries. Some believe. They lay their coats before Him and worship Him as their King. Believers pray in His name, live with great faith, and bear amazing fruit in His honor. These are the few and they belong to Him. But there are always many who live for themselves, are overtaken by greed, and will not submit to Christ's right to rule their lives. They are plants with every ability to thrive but are fruitless and dead. We must choose, every day, which of the two we are going to be. We are the fig trees, and Jesus has the ongoing right to draw from us richly.    Loving Father and gift giver, we praise Your name for the coming of Jesus to be our Savior and King. May we sing as believers did when He entered Jerusalem: “Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord…” Indeed He is blessed, and He is a blessing to all who believe in Him. Help us to bear fruit by His power and for His glory. Lead us to be prayerful, to ask forgiveness when our branches grow bare, and to give Him the authority and the right to draw from us things that please Him.    Thought Questions: -       The plant imagery is helpful. If you are a fig tree that belongs to Jesus, how does that impact the nourishment and growth you pursue daily? -       Jesus was deeply offended that the temple of God was infiltrated by greed. Is there a sense in which that has meaning for us in His church? -       There is instruction on prayer in this chapter. Why does Jesus call us to forgive “anything against anyone” before we seek God's forgiveness?

I greet you in Jesus' precious name! It is Saturday morning, the 15th of February, 2025, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We start in the Book of Luke 17:6: So the Lord said, “If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,' and it would obey you.”“Have faith in God.”Mark 11:22That's it - have faith in God. Without faith, we cannot please Him. Now Luke 17:5 says: ”And the apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.” Now, even the disciples asked Jesus, ”Please, increase our faith”, because they realised without faith, we can do nothing. Today, maybe you're struggling to believe God for a promise He's given you. Maybe He gave it to you many years ago and your faith is starting to wane, starting to lose power. How do we regain our faith? Well, if you look at Romans 10:17, the Word of God says:”So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Spending time reading your Bible, spending time believing what the Lord has said about you. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, My Lord will supply all of my needs according to His riches in Glory. We need to get started this morning. We need to get back to walking the faith walk. You see, faith is a way of life, not faith in faith, but faith in Jesus Christ, and the Lord always honours faith. Now I'm sitting here thinking about the first campaign I ever organised - it was in that little town of Ladysmith about probably an hour's drive west of where we live. It was ten minutes to seven in the evening. The service was going to start at seven o'clock and I was downstairs in the dungeon. I was waiting for the people to come. The band which we had brought up from Port Elizabeth were bravely on the platform playing music and I climbed up the steps, opened the door, had a look in, there was no-one there. I was devastated. I mean, I'd been praying and we'd been trusting the Lord. I went down and I said, “Lord, if nobody comes, I'm going to preach to the chairs.” This is the honest truth. At seven o'clock, by faith, I walked up, I opened the door and the hall was half full of people. That was the beginning. Well, I want to say to you, we started off with the Mighty Men Conference on this farm with 240 men, and we ended up with 450 000 men at our last meeting on this farm in 2010, and I've got news to tell you, that this year there'll be twenty Mighty Men Conferences happening all over the world. That mustard seed of faith! Trust the Lord, my dear friend, He'll do it for you. Jesus bless you and goodbye

In this episode, Pastor Dom teaches on real faithHebrews 11:1-31 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. 3 By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.James 2:2020 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? James 1:5-85 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.James 3:4-54 Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires. 5 Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things.Psalm 141:33 Set a guard, O Lord, over my mouth; Keep watch over the door of my lips.Proverbs 18:2121 Death and life are in the power of the tongue,…Mark 11:22-2322 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. 23 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.Luke 6:4545 For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.

Mountain Moving Faith #RTTBROS #Nightlight "Faith That Moves Mountains: Finding Strength in Life's Valleys" "For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith." - Mark 11:23 In our journey through life, we often find ourselves walking through valleys of loneliness, unanswered prayers, and overwhelming sorrows. B.B. McKinney's timeless hymn "Have Faith in God" speaks directly to these universal human experiences, offering a profound reminder of God's unchanging presence and power. The first verse addresses those moments when we feel isolated on our path. Like David in the wilderness, we may feel abandoned, yet McKinney reminds us that we are "never alone." This echoes the promise found in Hebrews 13:5, "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." Perhaps the most challenging test of faith comes when heaven seems silent to our prayers. The second verse encourages us to "wait on the Lord," reflecting the wisdom of Isaiah 40:31, "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength." In these moments of silence, our faith grows deeper roots. When pain and sorrow overwhelm us, the third verse points to a compassionate God who is touched by our grief. This beautiful truth reflects 1 Peter 5:7, "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you." Our sorrows are not insignificant to Him; they move His heart. The final verse triumphantly declares God's sovereignty even when everything else crumbles. Like Daniel who maintained his faith in a foreign land, we too can stand firm knowing that our God reigns eternally. His kingdom, as described in Daniel 7:14, "shall not be destroyed." Today, whatever mountain stands before you – be it loneliness, unanswered prayers, personal suffering, or widespread uncertainty – remember that faith in God is not just a suggestion but a lifeline. The chorus reminds us of an unchangeable truth: "He cannot fail, He must prevail." Let this hymn be more than just words on a page. Let it be your declaration of trust in the God who sits enthroned above every circumstance, who sees every tear, hears every prayer, and holds every tomorrow in His capable hands. Prayer: Heavenly Father, strengthen our faith when the path grows dark. Help us remember that You are sovereign over every situation, faithful in every promise, and present in every moment. May we, like Abraham, be "strong in faith, giving glory to God" (Romans 4:20). In Jesus' name, Amen. Have Faith In God B. B. McKinney, 1886-1952 Verse 1 Have faith in God when your pathway is lonely, He sees and knows all the way you have trod; Never alone are the least of His children; Have faith in God, have faith in God. Chorus Have faith in God, He's on His throne; Have faith in God, He watches o'er His own; He cannot fail, He must prevail; Have faith in God, have faith in God. Verse 2 Have faith in God when your prayers are unanswered, Your earnest plea He will never forget; Wait on the Lord, trust His Word and be patient, Have faith in God, He'll answer yet. Verse 3 Have faith in God in your pain and your sorrow, His heart is touched with your grief and despair; Cast all your cares and your burdens upon Him, And leave them there, oh, leave them there. Verse 4 Have faith in God though all else fail about you; Have faith in God, He provides for His own; He cannot fail though all kingdoms shall perish, He rules, He reigns upon His throne. Jesus said in John 14:12, “If you believe in Me, you will do the SAME Works I do, and GREATER Works, because I go to My Father. And whatsoever you ask in My Name, I WILL DO IT!” Jesus promises to answer your prayer Himself. Why? In order to glorify the Father through YOU. Prayer is not some formality, wishful thinking, or empty repetition. Jesus said, “WHATSOEVER you ask in My Name, I WILL DO IT!” Ask Jesus, ask the Father in His Name. Why do people pray to Mary and the saints? Scripture says they are ‘asleep in Christ', waiting for the bodily Resurrection, when the dead whose names are written in the Book of Life shall rise first, and we who are alive shall be caught up together with them to meet the Lord in the air! Daniel 12:2; 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17. But at this moment in time, Jesus alone is alive bodily in Heaven, the Firstfruits of the dead. 1 Corinthians 20. He alone is able to answer your prayer. Hebrews 7:25.  It is a direct relationship with Jesus that you need – approach Him in absolute confidence for the answer! Your strong dynamic prayer will avail, it will work! That mountain in your life will move! Jesus said, “Have faith in God. For truly I say to you, that whosoever shall say to this mountain, be removed and cast into the sea, and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he says shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he says. Therefore I tell you, what things soever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them.” Mark 11:22-24. Be specific. Be strong. Pray with faith. God will answer you.

Garth Heckman The David Alliance TDAgiantSlayer@Gmail.com      Mark 11 and Luke 13 tell of Jesus on his way to the temple… he sees a fig tree…    12 The next day as they were leaving Bethany, Jesus was hungry. 13 Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to find out if it had any fruit. When he reached it, he found nothing but leaves, because it was not the season for figs. 14 Then he said to the tree, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.” And his disciples heard him say it. 15 On reaching Jerusalem, Jesus entered the temple courts and began driving out those who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves, 16 and would not allow anyone to carry merchandise through the temple courts. 17 And as he taught them, he said, “Is it not written: ‘My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations'[c]? But you have made it ‘a den of robbers.'[d]” 18 The chief priests and the teachers of the law heard this and began looking for a way to kill him, for they feared him, because the whole crowd was amazed at his teaching. 19 When evening came, Jesus and his disciples[e] went out of the city. 20 In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree withered from the roots. 21 Peter remembered and said to Jesus, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree you cursed has withered!” 22 “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. 23 “Truly[f] I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. 25 And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”   It bears no fruit… neither does the Nation of Israel The temple had been turned into a shopping mall, not a house of prayer. It was supposed to bear fruit… but it did not.  It was supposed to be the time… but it was not. The fig tree was out of season for figs, so why did Jesus curse it? Because typically at that time it was not the season for figs.We know Fig trees produce leaves at the time of the Passover, and small fruits do appear, which will ripen later… so there should have been signs of fruits to come -  These fruits are unripe but marginally edible. The leaves promise fruit on the tree, but its barren fruitless… its a “looks like Tarzan plays like Jane”. Its bark is bigger than its bite… its a poser, its a wanna be…. It's Israel at the time Of Christ culminating act of dying for the sins of the world… they should be ready, waiting and open to bearing fruit… but they are hard hearted. The religious leaders of the day are barren.    So Jesus curses the posers… don't miss the irony here. God in just a second talks about unforgiveness…but right now he is cursing a tree symbolically as the religious leaders… so apparently you can without anger or bitterness or hate or malice - you can curse something or someone… but maybe that is just stored up for the religious leaders… and fake pastors and fake social media preachers and bible thumping hustlers… sorry I digress.  He also shows the power and turn around of a curse - 24 hours. Not bad. But it also shows us the power of a blessing…surely if Jesus can curse something and get results in 24 hours, he can also bless something and get results in 24 hours. And might I remind you that he goes on to say in faith we can do the same…. In fact we can tear mountains up with our faith and cast them into the sea… mere words with faith has immediate actions.. But there is a caveat… a warning or a read this before using notification.  And that is this: don't try this with unforgiveness in your heart. It seems that the sin of unforgiveness is the kryptonite of prayer. So maybe our first prayer should not be to move mountains for miracles but rather mountains of unforgiveness… and then we can start moving mountains of miracles…. Something to think about.

If we want to grow in faith, it is imperative that we ask ourselves - what competes with faith in our lives? What hinders us from being able to walk in faith? If faith comes by listening to the Word of God, then the reverse is true as well. Our faith is decreased when we listen to things that are contrary to the Word of God. We must partner with God in our salvation. The Sower sowed good seed. The faith of the people was hindered by the Jewish leadership. The environment was not receptive to the redemption of Israel by Christ. Being without proof of God we must believe in God by faith. "Without faith it is impossible to please Him." If we refuse the seed of the word of God we will die unfruitful, separated and lost. Believing in God because of proof is not faith. The will of man is stronger than God's will. “...without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 11:6***92: Jesus Condemns A Fig TreeMatthew 21:18-22; Mark 11:12-14, 20-26The next morning after his triumphal entry into Jerusalem, Jesus and his disciples left Bethany, where they had spent the night, to return to the city. On the way Jesus was hungry. Seeing a fig tree from afar, he went to it expecting to find some fruit. But the tree contained nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for fruit. Jesus said to the tree: “Let no fruit grow on thee henceforward forever.” When next they passed the tree, seeing that it was withered from the roots up, Peter said to Jesus: “Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.” Jesus replied to him: “Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, ‘Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea,' and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, ‘What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.' And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any, that your Father also which is in Heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in Heaven forgive your trespasses.”93: Jesus Cleanses The TempleMatthew 21:10-17; Mark 11:15-19; Luke 19:45-48When Jesus came to Jerusalem he went into the temple. He began to cast out those who bought and sold therein, overthrew the tables of the moneychangers and the seats of those who sold doves. He would not permit anyone to carry anything through the temple. He taught and said: “It is written, ‘My house shall be called the house of prayer,' but ye have made it a den of thieves.” The chief priests and scribes, when they saw the wonders Jesus performed, were greatly displeased and sought to destroy him but were afraid of the multitude who listened eagerly to his words. Then the afflicted came to Jesus in the temple and were healed. The people listened attentively to his doctrines and were astonished at his words and deeds.Children sang in the temple, saying: “Hosanna to the son of David.” The words of the children and the crowd angered the authorities, and the chief priests and scribes said to...

This mystery is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel.Of this gospel I was made a minister according to the gift of God's grace, which was given me by the working of his power. The Word of the LordThanks Be to God Mark 11:11–23And he entered Jerusalem and went into the temple. And when he had looked around at everything, as it was already late, he went out to Bethany with the twelve. On the following day, when they came from Bethany, he was hungry. And seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to see if he could find anything on it. When he came to it, he found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. And he said to it, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.” And his disciples heard it.And they came to Jerusalem. And he entered the temple and began to drive out those who sold and those who bought in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who sold pigeons. And he would not allow anyone to carry anything through the temple. And he was teaching them and saying to them, “Is it not written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations'? But you have made it a den of robbers.” And the chief priests and the scribes heard it and were seeking a way to destroy him, for they feared him, because all the crowd was astonished at his teaching. And when evening came they went out of the city.As they passed by in the morning, they saw the fig tree withered away to its roots. And Peter remembered and said to him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree that you cursed has withered.” And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.The Word of the LordThanks Be to GodThe Apostles' CreedI believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth;I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead.I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen. ExamenIn God's presence, think through the day ahead:the work you will do, the people you will encounter, the dangers or uncertainties you face, the possibilities for joy and acts of kindness, any particular resolutions you need to renew, consider what might draw you from the love of God and neighbor, the opportunities you will have to know and serve God and to grow in virtue, remember those closest to you and all for whom you have agreed to pray, ask God's blessings, guidance, and strength in all that lies before you. Gather up these thoughts and reflections in the wordsOur Savior taught us to say: The Lord's PrayerOur Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen. The Collects of the DayGrant us, O Lord, to trust in you with all our hearts; for, as you always resist the proud who confide in their own strength, so you never forsake those who make their boast of your mercy; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen. Lord God, almighty and everlasting Father, you have brought us in safety to this new day: Preserve us with your mighty power, that we may not fall into sin, nor be overcome by adversity; and in all we do, direct us to the fulfilling of your purpose; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. Closing PrayersA Prayer of St. ChrysostomAlmighty God, you have given us grace at this time with one accord to make our common supplication to you; and you have promised through your well-beloved Son that when two or three are gathered together in his Name you will be in the midst of them: Fulfill now, O Lord, our desires and petitions as may be best for us; granting us in this world knowledge of your truth, and in the age to come life everlasting. Send us a textGod doesn't cause bad things to happen, neither does he allow them to happen.  We may ask ourselves: what if someone close to me dies and they were believing for healing? This happened to me just recently. A good friend of mine was diagnosed with cancer about a year and a half ago. Their family was believing for healing, she was believing for healing but ended up passing away. It seemed like God didn't heal her. However, what we didn't know was that my friend had given up fighting. She was tired of fighting when she knew she could be made free in heaven. Ask God if there is something that you're missing. He will show you!Think about Job, why did all of that bad stuff happen to Job? He had allowed fear to control his life, which opened the door to the enemy to be able to work in his life. Think about the woman with the issue of blood. She needed a mindset shift in order to receive God's healing. She was in a place where she continually expected bad things to happen. She had to shift that and begin to speak life over herself. God is constantly showering blessings down upon you. Picture an umbrella and under that umbrella is all of God's blessings that He has for you. Is there an area of your life keeping you from stepping under that umbrella?  For example, do you need to dig into the Bible concerning a topic, because you really don't know what it says?Is there someone that is causing you pain and you need to forgive them?Is there a secret sin that you are struggling with and you haven't told anyone in order to get help to overcome? Is there pride in some area of your life or vanity? Maybe feeling less about yourself than what God says about you?Is it doubt that what you are believing for will actually happen?Ask God to reveal to you if there's something in your life that is holding you back from stepping into those blessings. Maybe it's pride. I don't know. Ask God to reveal to you your blind spots. Things that maybe you can't see but are holding you back.Mark 11:22-24 says, "And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Confess Your Promises (audio) David Eells 8/28/24     Keeping God's commandment is not too hard if we understand the keys. Deu 30:11 For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not too hard for thee, neither is it far off… 14 But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it. 5 See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil. The key here is, if the Word is in our mouth and heart, we can do it. Pro.18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue; And they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. The tongue has the power to give life, which makes it easy to keep His commandments. Speaking them into existence and agreeing with Him is the key.   Confirming the words so we can do them is the key. Deu 27:26 Cursed be he that confirmeth not the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen. He goes on to talk about the blessings in Deuteronomy 28:1-14 and the curses in Deuteronomy 28:15-68. The blessings come to those who confirm the word. We are called to speak in agreement with God's Word, not add to it or take away from it, under penalty of a curse. Rev 22:18 I testify unto every man that heareth the words of this book, If any man shall add unto them, God shall add unto him the plagues which are written in this book: 19 and if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the tree of life, and out of the holy city, which are written in this book.   In James, we're told that the man is a perfect man who has control over the tongue. (Jas 3:2) For in many things we all stumble. If any stumbleth not in word, the same is a perfect man, able to bridle the whole body also. Now we see that, if a person can speak in agreement with God's Word, he will be able to obey because he will be able to bridle the whole body also. Speaking is a manifestation of faith. Faith without works is dead; it's unfruitful according to Jas 2:17. When we speak in agreement with the Word, we bring the power of God into the situation; otherwise, it is just dead religion. So, since our words can bring blessings and curses, we must, therefore, come into agreement with God's precious Word that we may receive the blessings.  Read it, speak it, and live.  Psa 107:2 Let the redeemed of the Lord say [so], Whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the adversary. We've been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. It's absolutely necessary that our faith be completed with works, according to James 2. The tongue and what we say are the most common way that we fulfill our faith. Faith that is not spoken or acted upon is faith that will not bring you anything. So, if we say we've been redeemed, we had better be talking that way. Many people destroy the works of God with their tongue. Out of one side of their mouth they claim that they believe that they were redeemed, but out of the other side they speak against it and they destroy it.    Col 1:14 In whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins. The word “redemption” means “a release on payment of a ransom.” We owed a debt we couldn't pay and Jesus paid a debt He didn't owe. A ransom is a price that is paid to release someone who is under a curse or in bondage. We've been in bondage to the curse, the old man, the devil, the world, sickness and all the bad things that go along with that.   Yet, Jesus paid the price to set us free; He paid a ransom so the devil would no longer have authority over us because we have the forgiveness of our sins. A ransom, according to Scripture, is something that must be confessed according to Psalm 107:2 Let the redeemed of Jehovah say so... We have many opportunities to confess Him before men according to Matthew 10:32 so that He, as the High Priest of our confession, can have an offering and confess us before the Father and we in turn receive the promises.    It's not good enough to just loosely say, “I've been redeemed.” When we have the opportunity to profess and confess that redemption in the midst of our trials and don't do it, we are negating what we say we believe. We are not bringing the benefits of the Kingdom to bear upon our life or our circumstances. Redemption covers all of the curse. Gal 3:13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us; for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: 14 that upon the Gentiles might come the blessing of Abraham in Christ Jesus; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.   The curse of the Law in Deuteronomy 28 includes all of those negative things that happen to sinners. We see the curse all around us and even in our own life, until we exercise the authority that we have been given to come out from under it. Jesus paid the price, the penalty, for the curse that we would normally bear. We were redeemed. If we fail in our confession, we can renounce this, confess it to the Lord, and begin again.  Psa 107:2 Let the redeemed of the Lord say [so]…. Why? Because faith without works is dead according to Jas 2:17. When we get into a situation that involves a curse (something which most of Christianity considers to be quite normal), we should know that the normal Christian life is a life delivered from the power of the curse of sin.     We understand the truth of the Gospel, that the Lord paid for our sins and we've been forgiven of our sins; therefore, we are no longer under the curse. Jesus bore that curse for us. We're not supposed to bear it and it doesn't please the Father that we bear it because His Son suffered and died to bear it, and for nothing in most lives. But we will bear it, if we do not confess our redemption.    When you read the Bible confess those things you see you lack, as yours. Jesus said, According to your faith be it done unto you in Mat 8:13; 9:29. When we agree with God's Word, when we watch our heart and tongue, and even ask the Lord to keep our tongue, then God is able to help us confess in the midst of the situations and trials that we are redeemed. Psa 141:3 Set a watch, O Jehovah, before my mouth; Keep the door of my lips.  It doesn't matter what the curse is; we have been redeemed from it. Jesus paid the penalty and we don't have to live under it. We are supposed to agree with this and speak our redemption, which is that we've been redeemed from the power of sin and its curse according to Romans 6:18, 22. According to this Jesus “made you free from sin.” So He solved this problem. Do you confess that you still have a problem with sin after you have confessed it to him?   Or do you know that the Lamb of God took away the sins of the world in John 1:29? Do you know that God made reconciliation already and sin is not a problem for you any longer, since He's taken care of it? Now you are to reckon yourself dead unto sin, as the Lord commanded. Rom 6:11 Reckon (Consider it done) ye also yourselves to be dead unto sin, but alive unto God in Christ Jesus. (What will this do if we believe it?) 12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey the lusts thereof:   Are you going to “let the redeemed of the Lord say so”? Are you going to confess your sins and then confess that you have been delivered and redeemed from the power of sin? Most Christians don't believe this because they have been taught otherwise. There are many aspects of our redemption that we need to confess before the Savior and High Priest of our confession (Hebrews 3:1; 4:14). Who then offers them as our sacrifice (Hebrews 13:15) before the Father. He has redeemed us out of all trouble. Psa 25:22 Redeem Israel, O God, Out of all his troubles. He has delivered us from the curse. How many troubles would we get out of, if we would just turn to God and confess His redemption? He has delivered us from all evil.    Gen 48:16 The angel who hath redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads... Jacob blessed Joseph's sons and this is our blessing, too. The apostle Paul said, The Lord will deliver me from every evil work, in 2Ti 4:18. Do you believe that this is God's plan? Most Christians believe their old life, which is their human nature. They believe that the normal Christian life is just to wait on the Lord to come and save them, but there is a battle to be won before this happens. A few believe in divine healing and a few in deliverance, yet redemption is deliverance from all evil and all of our enemies.   What can we identify as enemies? The flesh, the lusts of the flesh, the devil, principalities and powers, the world, the curse and so on. Luk 1:68 Blessed [be] the Lord, the God of Israel; For he hath visited and wrought redemption for his people, 69 And hath raised up a horn of salvation for us In the house of his servant David 70 (As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets that have been from of old), 71 Salvation from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us; 72 To show mercy towards our fathers, And to remember his holy covenant; 73 The oath which he sware unto Abraham our father, 74 To grant unto us that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies Should serve him without fear, 75 In holiness and righteousness before him all our days.   That's what redemption paid for! Glory to God! Most Christians never receive the fullness of what's been paid for by Jesus Christ because they don't confess their full redemption shown in many promises. He has redeemed us from a life of vanity, foolishness and failure. 1Pe 1:18 Knowing that ye were redeemed, not with corruptible things, with silver or gold, from your vain manner of life handed down from your fathers. We have been redeemed from our “vain manner of life,” a worthless and useless life. If you look at the life of the disciples, the apostles and Jesus, you will see a self-sacrificial life, not a life of materialism and pleasing self. They lived lives of sacrifice for others.    This was anything but a “vain manner of life.” Most people live, whether in peace and prosperity or not, a “vain manner of life,” given over to the corruption of the world. They ...strain out the gnat, and swallow the camel (Mat 23:24), making little things big and big things little. Important things are not important to them. What we need to do is confess that we have all of Christ. He was given to us as a gift. He now lives in us and we no longer live according to Paul's confession in Gal 2:20. We need to confess this before men, although I know it's a very unpopular thing to do, even before Christians.   But the Father has given us the life of Jesus through the reconciliation. Col 1:22 Yet now hath he reconciled (Or “exchanged”, meaning His life for ours.) in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and without blemish and unreprovable before him: 23 if so be that ye continue in the faith, grounded and stedfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel which ye heard, which was preached in all creation under heaven; whereof I Paul was made a minister. God gave the life of Jesus to us and took our lives and nailed them to the Cross.    Psa 103:4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; Who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies. We've been redeemed from destruction. If you look up the word “redeemed” or “redemption” in your Bible concordance, you will see how much has been provided.   The Lord Jesus has bought us out of bondage from the devil. The devil had his rights over us because we had sinned and we had no sacrifice, but now that we have a sacrifice, we must believe and confess the redemption that the Lord has given us so we can receive it. If we hold redemption only as a religious dogma and do not confess it with our mouth and accept it in our mind, then it's worthless.   Num 14:1 And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night. 2 And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would that we had died in this wilderness! 3 And wherefore doth the Lord bring us unto this land, to fall by the sword? Our wives and our little ones will be a prey: were it not better for us to return into Egypt? And God replied… 28  Say unto them, As I live, saith Jehovah, surely as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:  29  your dead bodies shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, that have murmured against me.   The Israelites spoke this against the promises of God because the spies had come back from spying out the land and told of the giants there and spoke of themselves as grasshoppers before these great giants. These giants represent our flesh that most don't believe they can conquer. Also, we must not speak what destroys others faith. They saw the Land of the promises, milk and honey and luscious fruit for 40 days but all they thought and spoke of were the giants.   Now get this: We have a refuge land of promise given to us by promises in dreams, visions, Words, types etc. And also we have received the promises for all of our needs to be met. And it is all free to you… We are each individually responsible to exorcise faith to take the Land of promises so it is not “revoked” and we are “disinherited” and “die in the wilderness” as we shall see. (Beware you do not go to this land for selfish purposes as some have and died in sin there.) I asked the Lord why many have not received this already. He said, “because too many are not exorcising their own faith to receive these things.” I also have known people who were counting on my faith to be enough. We will see that God wants your faith to count for you and yours. I have done my job up to this point. I have consistently claimed Father would supply the funds “abundantly above all we can ask or think”. Father has shown that the Soloman anointed Man-child will soon take possession to build the Latter Rain kingdom. Now everyone has to believe for their piece of the pie and the Lord will decide for faith just as He did for the Jews.    Please let us agree in prayer and confess our faith for God's complete provision.    Father, we who know we are called to this and ask that you make the wilderness provision for our needs that is already provided be ours in Jesus name. We commit to think and speak in agreement with this fact now just as the Israelites were expected to do when they went to take their land of the promised provisions. In accordance with your command in Mar 11:23-24 we believe we have received this provision. We know that the double minded man will not receive from you. We ask that you keep our thoughts and tongue in agreement with this because of the reconciliation which gave us the mind of Christ when the mind of the flesh was crucified. We ask that if we ever waver you will give us a mind to repent and begin again our confession. Fill us with your Holy Spirit to empower us to hold fast to the confession of our hope that it waver not. Amen!     Also we represent the land and the giants represent the old man of the flesh resisting us, which most preachers say are unconquerable destroying the faith of many. They say that we should accept that we are only “sinners saved by grace,” but we were sinners and now we are saved by grace. And the truth is the Lord said we can take the giants down and in fact, He has already accomplished this. He has taken down the giants of doubt and unbelief too. He was righteously offended that they spoke against His promises but He gave them what they confessed.     Num 14:11 And the Lord said unto Moses, How long will this people despise me? and how long will they not believe in me, for all the signs which I have wrought among them? 12 I will smite them with the pestilence, and disinherit them, and will make of thee a nation greater and mightier than they. God can disinherit us from the promises He has given us if we do not personally believe, just as He did with them.   Num 14:23 Surely they shall not see the land which I sware unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that despised me see it. Notice that He swore to give them the land but changed His mind because they did not keep their part of the covenant, which was faith. Jesus said, “Be it unto you according to your faith”, and “As you have believed so shall it be unto you.” Notice that He put the responsibility on you and your individual faith.   This can be more than just missing out on some benefits; it can also bring death! Remember their children didn't die and were not held responsible but they were. Num 14:28 Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord, surely as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:    29 your dead bodies shall fall in this wilderness; and all that were numbered of you, according to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, that have murmured against me. They spoke against the Lord and He was highly offended. When Jesus was on this earth and He heard a word of faith from anyone, He was so pleased that He gave the person their request and so it is now.   Only believers will take possession of their land and promises. Num14:30 Surely ye shall not come into the land, concerning which I sware that I would make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun. (Both faithful confessing believers) 34 After the number of the days in which ye spied out the land, even forty days (The number of tribulation, which they had to go through because they did not believe.), for every day a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my alienation. So God said they had rejected His covenant and had come to know His “alienation,” which literally means “the revoking of His promise.” Why? It was because they refused to confess their redemption. In the midst of the fiery trial, they refused to say what God had done for them.    We must watch in our daily trials that we do not think and say the very opposite of what we should believe as Christians, which is that Jesus has provided everything for us and we received this for us by faith.   Isa 43:1-5 But now thus saith Jehovah that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel: Fear not, for I have redeemed thee; I have called thee by thy name, thou art mine. 2 When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned, neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. 3 For I am Jehovah thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour; I have given Egypt as thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in thy stead. 4 Since thou hast been precious in my sight, and honorable, and I have loved thee; therefore will I give men in thy stead, and peoples instead of thy life.   Luk 1:67 And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Spirit, and prophesied, saying, 68 Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel; For he hath visited and wrought redemption for his people, 69 And hath raised up a horn of salvation for us In the house of his servant David 70 (As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets that have been from of old), 71 Salvation from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us; 72 To show mercy towards our fathers, And to remember his holy covenant; 73 The oath which he sware unto Abraham our father, 74 To grant unto us that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies Should serve him without fear, 75 In holiness and righteousness before him all our days.   Jesus gave us the key to meet all our needs in Mar 11:23-24 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall say unto this mountain (of resistance), Be thou taken up and cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that what he saith cometh to pass; he shall have it. (Jesus commanded every miracle before they happened.) 24 Therefore I say unto you, All things whatsoever ye pray and ask for, believe that ye received them, and ye shall have them. “Received” is past tense in the original text because we are shown to believe we received everything at the Cross.     Notice we are to speak it and believe we have received the promises. In this text Jesus was preaching long before what science has discovered in Quantum Mechanics or Physics. That is that the smallest particle is able to transform into whatever we receive by faith, good or bad. Faith cannot be seen but it is described in the KJV as the “substance” of what you need.   Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. I.e. While you have no evidence of what you need faith is the smallest particle or substance of it. Give God the substance. The whole creation was not made of physical things, but the spoken Word of God. Heb 11:3 By faith we understand that the worlds have been framed by the word of God, so that what is seen hath not been made out of things which appear. And we are sons and daughters of God to walk in His steps.   Jesus showed us that the tiniest particle or seed of faith can turn into the largest tree of support for His people. Mat 17:19 Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast it out? 20 And he saith unto them, Because of your little faith: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.   Mat 13:31 …The kingdom of heaven is like unto a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field: 32 which indeed is less than all seeds; but when it is grown, it is greater than the herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the heaven come and lodge in the branches thereof. We are likened to birds by Jesus so He is saying this that starts out as the “smallest particle” will grow huge to support His people.    Believe and speak what the promises of our future say. Jesus made you free from sin, as Romans 6:18 says. He set you free from the curse, as Galatians 3:13 says. He delivered you out of the power of darkness, as Colossians 1:13 says. He “will supply your every need” as Php 4:19 says. We individually need to speak and confess these needs as ours now in order to receive them.   I am reminded of a dream my wife had about getting rid of bad words that curse our fruit of Jesus in us. She was praying for a friend and had this very vivid dream; she saw her friend inspecting her own fruit tree, which represented herself. She saw fruit on the tree but there were worms in the fruit. She had a can of spray and was broadly spraying the entire tree; however, my wife told her friend that this wouldn't work.    Then my wife walked over to her and told her to spray each worm right in the mouth. She took the can from her friend and noticed that it now wasn't worms in the fruit, but little serpents, so my wife sprayed the can into each serpent's mouth to kill them. The thing that is ruining our fruit is the “little serpents” or demons that speak through our carnal nature, – those negative thoughts and words that come out of our mouth. The spray is speaking the good news of the promises which is the power to save us from these thoughts and words.    I remember when I had gathered my kids together and lectured them on why they shouldn't leave their shoes out on the front porch. I said, “I told you, if you leave your shoes out on the front porch, a dog can come and take one of those shoes off and then the other shoe is good for nothing.” Well, that is exactly what happened. A dog came and took one of their shoes and I realized that I was the one who made it happen. I had given the dog permission to come and take one of their shoes. To make a long story short, I told them to go out and look for the shoe but they couldn't find it.     So then I said, “Here's what we're going to do,” as I looked out the front window at the porch. “We're going to command that dog to bring back that shoe and put it back where he got it,” and that's just what we did. We didn't think about it anymore. The next day we just happened to be standing right by that window and I think it was my son who yelled out, “Look!” We all looked out the window and here comes this dog from around the back of the neighbor's house with the shoe in his mouth, and he dropped it on the porch. Of course, the kids and I were amazed. I spoke that thing and God brought it to pass. We have the power of destruction or creation in our mouth. We're sons of God and the Lord Jesus Christ lives in us.   He has given us authority in our words. Mat 18:18 Verily I say unto you, What things soever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and what things soever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. We need to pay attention to what we say and be careful to agree with the promises of God. We are constantly binding and loosing by our words, which could be for good or bad. We don't want to bind God and loose the devil. Jesus “could not do many mighty works because of their unbelief.”     We each need to watch our thoughts and mouth because, in so many ways, we can bring a curse upon our life, upon our children and upon the people around us. Mar 11:12 And on the morrow, when they were come out from Bethany, he hungered. 13 And seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came, if haply he might find anything thereon: and when he came to it, he found nothing but leaves; for it was not the season of figs. 14 And he answered and said unto it, No man eat fruit from thee henceforward forever.    And his disciples heard it. What do you think Jesus was talking about in this parable? Well, God's people are the fig tree and the next verses seem to imply that God was reprobating people even before they bore fruit because of unbelief, just like the actual fig tree. We have seen this happen to the faction in Jesus' day and ours. Faction and witchcraft took away all knowledge or respect of scripture which leaves them with no conscience. They are now dying in unbelief without fruit.    We have our opportunity to bear fruit and it has everything to do with what we say and do with the Word of God. We pray the prayer of faith for our children, and we should chasten them as the Word commands to cause them to fear judgment for their sin. If they don't fear your judgment, they will not fear God's judgment. Many times we get caught up with frustration and fear when we see them running after their flesh. We should, instead, be walking by faith for them and confessing their salvation by faith.     We need to not just broadly “spray the whole tree.” If we speak a word against our redemption, we need to deny that word and come against it. I think a good example of this is in Numbers. It speaks of a husband having the authority to disallow the words of his wife and children when they say things that bind their own soul, which the Bible calls a “rash utterance of her lips.”    Num 30:6 And if she be [married] to a husband, while her vows are upon her, or the rash utterance of her lips, wherewith she hath bound her soul (this is speaking things that bind our soul; the very opposite of our redemption), 7 and her husband hear it, and hold his peace at her in the day that he heareth it; then her vows shall stand, and her bonds wherewith she hath bound her soul shall stand. 8 But if her husband disallow her in the day that he heareth it, then he shall make void her vow which is upon her, and the rash utterance of her lips, wherewith she hath bound her soul: and Lord will forgive her.    The same is said here of a father for his daughter. The father can deny and disallow what he sees and hears from his children, or he can just let it go and the Lord can hold them accountable for that. The one in authority here has the authority to let these words stand or to say no to things contrary to the Word. “No, we're not believing that for our child, or about our situation, or about our health. We're not accepting that.” Of course, it always has to be done with kindness, since it could cause some friction. God said, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you (Num 14:28).   It came quite naturally to them to say that they were afraid of the giants because they were not believing what God said and He was offended. We are in the same situation. Mar 11:22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God (according to the Numeric pattern it is, “Have God's faith”.  This is because in the exchange He traded His faith for our unbelief. We see here that He is not talking about having faith in God, but about having God's faith inside of you. Some people may say that they don't have enough faith. First, they should stop saying that because it's not the truth and it can only hurt their faith. God has given to every one of us a measure of faith according to Romans 12:3. He also made reconciliation or exchange at the Cross, which gives us everything we need, including His faith.     Faith can be positive or faith can be negative. Pro 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue; And they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. Most people, when they are not lying, are saying what they believe. We have to exercise faith for some things, while for other things we exercise faith quite naturally because it is our belief and it does come to pass.    Gal 6:7 … Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. How do we sow things in the New Testament? When the sower went forth to sow, how did he sow his seed? He sowed the spoken Word. He sowed a seed called “the Word” in the hearts of men. How did Jesus know if the centurion had faith? He wanted Jesus to heal his servant who was sick of the palsy and grievously tormented. Jesus said in Mat 8:7 ... I will come and heal him. 8 And the centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof; but only say the word, and my servant shall be healed. How many times do you hear people say such a thing? Jesus knew by the fruit of the centurion's lips that he had faith. Jesus knew by his confession and then Jesus gave the centurion what he had confessed.    Do you think it is any different today? Jesus is waiting for us to confess our redemption, our reconciliation, and He is going to render to every man according to his works. Faith without works is dead. Jas.2:14 What doth it profit, my brethren, if a man say he hath faith, but have not works? can that faith save him? 17 Even so faith, if it have not works, is dead in itself. 18 Yea, a man will say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith apart from [thy] works, and I by my works will show thee [my] faith.

Mark 11:1–25 (Listen) The Triumphal Entry 11:1 Now when they drew near to Jerusalem, to Bethphage and Bethany, at the Mount of Olives, Jesus1 sent two of his disciples 2 and said to them, “Go into the village in front of you, and immediately as you enter it you will find a colt tied, on which no one has ever sat. Untie it and bring it. 3 If anyone says to you, ‘Why are you doing this?' say, ‘The Lord has need of it and will send it back here immediately.'” 4 And they went away and found a colt tied at a door outside in the street, and they untied it. 5 And some of those standing there said to them, “What are you doing, untying the colt?” 6 And they told them what Jesus had said, and they let them go. 7 And they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks on it, and he sat on it. 8 And many spread their cloaks on the road, and others spread leafy branches that they had cut from the fields. 9 And those who went before and those who followed were shouting, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! 10 Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David! Hosanna in the highest!” 11 And he entered Jerusalem and went into the temple. And when he had looked around at everything, as it was already late, he went out to Bethany with the twelve. Jesus Curses the Fig Tree 12 On the following day, when they came from Bethany, he was hungry. 13 And seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to see if he could find anything on it. When he came to it, he found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. 14 And he said to it, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.” And his disciples heard it. Jesus Cleanses the Temple 15 And they came to Jerusalem. And he entered the temple and began to drive out those who sold and those who bought in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who sold pigeons. 16 And he would not allow anyone to carry anything through the temple. 17 And he was teaching them and saying to them, “Is it not written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations'? But you have made it a den of robbers.” 18 And the chief priests and the scribes heard it and were seeking a way to destroy him, for they feared him, because all the crowd was astonished at his teaching. 19 And when evening came they2 went out of the city. The Lesson from the Withered Fig Tree 20 As they passed by in the morning, they saw the fig tree withered away to its roots. 21 And Peter remembered and said to him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree that you cursed has withered.” 22 And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. 23 Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received3 it, and it will be yours. 25 And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.”4 Footnotes [1] 11:1 Greek he [2] 11:19 Some manuscripts he [3] 11:24 Some manuscripts are receiving [4] 11:25 Some manuscripts add verse 26: But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your trespasses (ESV)

Mark 4:35-41 NIRVWhen evening came, Jesus said to his disciples, “Let's go over to the other side of the lake.” They left the crowd behind. And they took him along in a boat, just as he was. There were also other boats with him. A wild storm came up. Waves crashed over the boat. It was about to sink. Jesus was in the back, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him up. They said, “Teacher! Don't you care if we drown?” “Yes, I care. I gave you the authority to take care of it.” He got up and ordered the wind to stop. He said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down. And it was completely calm. He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Don't you have any faith at all yet?” They were terrified. They asked each other, “Who is this? Even the wind and the waves obey him!”Mark 3:13-15 (NIRV)Jesus went up on a mountainside. He called for certain people to come to him, and they came. He appointed 12 of them so that they would be with him. He would also send them out to preach. And he gave them authority to drive out demons.Could this have been a test for the disciples? An opportunity to flex their authority? Jesus selected 12 to go out to preach and gave them authority to cast out demons.38… “Yes, I care. I gave you the authority to take care of it.” - to resist opposing circumstancesEphesians 6:10-12 CEV10 Let the mighty strength of the Lord make you strong. 11 Put on all the armor that God gives, so you can defend yourself against the devil's tricks. 12 We are not fighting against humans. We are fighting against forces and authorities and against rulers of darkness and powers in the spiritual world.Revelation 12 - War In Heaven - authority from GodGenesis 3 - The Fall Of Mankind - authority God gave to manMatthew 4:1-11 - Temptation of Jesus - authority from JesusRevelation 12:12b - “But woe to the earth and the sea because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows that his time is short.”3 Steps To Resisting Opposing Circumstances1. Pray As You Align Your Thoughts (With Heaven)37 A wild storm came up. Waves crashed over the boat. It was about to sink. 38 Jesus was in the back, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him up. They said, “Teacher! Don't you care if we drown?”Our circumstances show up and that's all we see - emotions - see truthMatthew 6:9-10 NIV “This, then, is how you should pray: “‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, 10 your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”Mark 11:22-24 CEVesus told his disciples: Have faith in God! If you have faith in God and don't doubt, you can tell this mountain to get up and jump into the sea, and it will. Everything you ask for in prayer will be yours, if you only have faith.Post on Psycology Today, “...some sources suggest that the average person makes an eye-popping 35,000 choices per day. Assuming that most people spend around seven hours per day sleeping and thus blissfully choice-free, that makes roughly 2,000 decisions per hour or one decision every two seconds.2. Pray As You Respond And Move38… “Yes, I care. I gave you the authority to take care of it.” Israel was delivered - they saw their circumstance - panicked - Moses reminds them:Exodus 14:14-18 CEVhe Lord will fight for you, and you won't have to do a thing.” The Lord said to Moses, “Why do you keep calling out to me for help? Tell the Israelites to move forward. Then hold your walking stick over the sea. The water will open up and make a road where they can walk through on dry ground.James 2:26 CEV“Anyone who doesn't breathe is dead, and faith that doesn't do anything is just as dead!”Hebrews 11:2- Faith chapter (Noah, Gideon, Rahab, etc.) “It was their faith that made our ancestors pleasing to God.” 3. Pray As You Declare God's TruthMark 4:39, “He got up and ordered the wind to stop. He said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down. And it was completely calm.”Genesis 1:27 NIRV“So God created human beings in his own likeness. He created them to be like himself.”Quote from Randy Clark, Authority From God, How and Why You Can Kick the Devil Out of Your Life, “When God speaks a word of command He also supplies the power to accomplish what He said to do.” Psalm 119:89 NKJV, “Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven.” Settled has the Hebrew meaning as when an army takes land or territory and sets guards to protect it.Matthew 18:18 CEV, “I promise you God in heaven will allow whatever you allow on earth, but God will not allow anything you don't allow.”“We're gonna see the strongholds bow. We're gonna see the things of Heaven here, right now”“Light of the world, Lamb that was slain. Lion who roars, mighty to save. The fullness of God won't be kept in a grave. Darkness, your hour is over.”“This is our hope; the cross it has spoken. Death is no more, Christ is the Lord, this is our hope.” Ephesians 6:10 NLT“A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.”

Amen. The LessonsLam. 1:1-2,6-12How lonely sits the city that once was full of people! How like a widow she has become, she that was great among the nations! She that was a princess among the provinces has become a vassal. She weeps bitterly in the night, with tears on her cheeks; among all her lovers she has no one to comfort her; all her friends have dealt treacherously with her, they have become her enemies. From daughter Zion has departed all her majesty. Her princes have become like stags that find no pasture; they fled without strength before the pursuer. Jerusalem remembers, in the days of her affliction and wandering, all the precious things that were hers in days of old. When her people fell into the hand of the foe, and there was no one to help her, the foe looked on mocking over her downfall. Jerusalem sinned grievously, so she has become a mockery; all who honored her despise her, for they have seen her nakedness; she herself groans, and turns her face away. Her uncleanness was in her skirts; she took no thought of her future; her downfall was appalling, with none to comfort her. "O Lord, look at my affliction, for the enemy has triumphed!" Enemies have stretched out their hands over all her precious things; she has even seen the nations invade her sanctuary, those whom you forbade to enter your congregation. All her people groan as they search for bread; they trade their treasures for food to revive their strength. Look, O Lord, and see how worthless I have become. Is it nothing to you, all you who pass by? Look and see if there is any sorrow like my sorrow, which was brought upon me, which the Lord inflicted on the day of his fierce anger. Officiant: The Word of the LordPeople: Thanks be to God. 21. Amen. Mark 11:12-25On the following day, when they came from Bethany, he was hungry. Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to see whether perhaps he would find anything on it. When he came to it, he found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. He said to it, "May no one ever eat fruit from you again." And his disciples heard it. Then they came to Jerusalem. And he entered the temple and began to drive out those who were selling and those who were buying in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves; and he would not allow anyone to carry anything through the temple. He was teaching and saying, "Is it not written, 'My house shall be called a house of prayer for all the nations'? But you have made it a den of robbers." And when the chief priests and the scribes heard it, they kept looking for a way to kill him; for they were afraid of him, because the whole crowd was spellbound by his teaching. And when evening came, Jesus and his disciples went out of the city. In the morning as they passed by, they saw the fig tree withered away to its roots. Then Peter remembered and said to him, "Rabbi, look! The fig tree that you cursed has withered." Jesus answered them, "Have faith in God. Truly I tell you, if you say to this mountain, 'Be taken up and thrown into the sea,' and if you do not doubt in your heart, but believe that what you say will come to pass, it will be done for you. So I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. "Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses." Officiant: The Word of the LordPeople: Thanks be to God. 16. The Song of ZechariahBenedictus Dominus Deus - Luke 1: 68-79Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel; *he has come to his people and set them free.He has raised up for us a mighty savior, *born of the house of his servant David.Through his holy prophets he promised of old, that he would save us from our enemies, *from the hands of all who hate us.He promised to show mercy to our fathers *and to remember his holy covenant. This was the oath he swore to our father Abraham, *to set us free from the hands of our enemies,Free to worship him without fear, *holy and righteous in his sightall the days of our life. You, my child, shall be called the prophet of the Most High, *for you will go before the Lord to prepare his way,To give his people knowledge of salvation *by the forgiveness of their sins.In the tender compassion of our God *the dawn from on high shall break upon us,To shine on those who dwell in darkness and the shadow of death, *and to guide our feet into the way of peace. Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit: as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be for ever.
