On the show today… Start your engines! Today it was announced that the Stan Original Series RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under will return for a second season in 2022. But this time around there's a new plot twist with the casting, and it sounds like the series is going to be bigger and better than ever before. Plus, this week it was announced that Kaley Cuoco and her husband, Karl Cook, were divorcing after three years of marriage. The actress said she felt compelled to tell her followers about the breakup because they had shared so much of their life publicly, but it hasn't stopped people digging for dirt about what really happened. Now Pete Davidson has been added to the story, and we've got a pretty compelling theory about why every young Hollywood star feels the need to date him. And it's Weekend Watch time! There are two new TV shows on The Spill's radar this week, and we need to talk about both of them. This week we're talking about representation, both LGBT+ and beyond. We were very lucky to sit down with Max Currie, director and co-showrunner of Rurangi (now streaming on Hulu), an amazing new trans drama out of New Zealand. The fact he was a member of the pit crew on RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under also means he is very easy on the eyes, which was great for Mike and Kyle but doesn't really help you out much. Anyway, Rurangi is amazing, check it out. THE FINALE of RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under is upon us and Agie and Nick are here to break it down with you. We're having lots of feelings about the season in general and we invite you on our journey to figure it out together. On the show today… Currently, there are some wild headlines making the rounds about current Sunrise host Natalie Barr and former Sunrise host Samantha Armytage, insinuating that the two women are locked in a brutal feud. However, if you look past the headlines, and at one interview and one tweet in particular, you'll see a different story to what the headlines would have you believe. Plus, Rachel Lindsay, the US Bachelorette's first-ever African-American Bachelorette, has given an in-depth account of what it was really like to be part of the franchise. She says she thought she could “change The Bachelor franchise from within. Until I realized I was their token.” And we're joined by RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under on Stan winner Kita Mean, who tells us a pretty big secret about how the finale was filmed, the most emotional moment from the show, and what the relationship between the Queens is like now. The reality TV show RuPaul's Drag Race is an international sensation with multiple Emmy awards and spin-offs around the world. The final queens write their own verses AND perform to RuPaul's “I'm a Winner, Baby” and compete to be crowned winner of the first season of RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under. It's time for a Talent Show Extravaganza and the queens of RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under are definitely doing...something. Shout out to Art Simone for the funniest 5 minutes with absolutely no context for what her talent actually is ❤️. We're breaking down the talents, Raven and RuPaul's critiques of them, and how they all went down in front of the judges. We're also reflecting on the season as a whole and talking about what caused us to have such a 'mushy middle' of queens every week and whether or not we actually enjoyed it. We've got all that PLUS "Toot or Boot the Looks," #RuPaulNeedsaVibeCheck, Queens of the Week, and Rapid Fire! Spoiler alert: there's no booted looks and RuPaul doesn't need a vibe check, Rhys does. Queens of the Week are part of our rapid fire, so stay tuned til the end to hear what we're thinking coming up to the finale. As always, just a reminder that these opinions are solely ours as fans of RuPaul's DragRace. We are not drag professionals and are incredibly grateful to watch and share our of this show with y'all! As we inch toward our hiatus, Noel and Kate wanted to make time to catch up with at least one show recommended by our listeners, so this week on the podcast, we spotlight the first season (really the first half-season) of Netflix’s K-drama It’s Okay Not To Be Okay. A romance and soap sprinkled with fairy tale elements and a heaping helping of trauma, the series may not be for everyone, but it has a lot to recommend it. Before the season spotlight, though, we have a full week in TV to discuss. We kick things off with a conflicting Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, Kate gives a couple thoughts on RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under, and then we round out the week with plenty of genre, including catching up with Star Wars: The Bad Batch, an underwhelming DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, an overdue end to the forces arc on The Flash, a surprise reveal on Superman & Lois, and the series finale of Black Lightning. Take a listen, then reach out with your takes on It’s Okay Not To Be Okay as well as the rest of the week’s TV.Season Spotlight: It’s Okay Not To Be Okay (51:31)Our Week in TV Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (9:53) RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under (18:00) Star Wars: The Bad Batch (20:23) DC’s Legends of Tomorrow (24:28) The Flash (30:08) Superman & Lois (35:23) Black Lightning finale (38:43)Music Featured: “Move On Up” by Curtis Mayfield; Theme song to It’s Okay Not To Be Okay

That being said, we had a member of the pod out with her fam this week celebrating her sister's graduation (we miss you Stacey) so we don't have a true Survivor "episode" this week but rather an audio version of our Instagram Live from 2 weeks ago. We're so excited to do more of these in the future so ENJOY listening back to our reflections on watching 40 seasons of Survivor and starting a podcast in the middle of a pandemic. We did that. And y'all helped!! In this episode, you'll hear us literally cheers to watching all 40 seasons and talk about what we learned along the way. We also give a brief explanation of how the pod came to be and answer fan questions like "What season do we recommend for newbies?" and "what winner would we be?" (and so many more). This episode is as raw and UNCUT/UNFILTERED as we have ever been so enjoy a peek behind the curtain as we discuss everything we've been through. We are so incredibly grateful we had y'all with us on this journey and cannot wait to continue to grow and discuss with you going forward. On the show today… The Hollywood Reporter has released an investigation into Joss Whedon's behaviour on the set of blockbuster movie Justice League and it unearthed some disturbing news about Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot. And right now, the world believes that Taylor Swift and Sophie Turner are feuding and, while that would be very exciting, the real story is a lot more wholesome. Plus, in today's deep dive...this week Married At First Sight decided they needed an extra hit of drama and so teamed the poor souls up for girls and boys night reunions, where one conversation in particular broke the cast (and us). On the show today… Stan has today announced that Australian comedian Rhys Nicholson will be the third judge on the upcoming season of RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under. And Australians have finally been granted access (legally, at least) to the much talked about New York Times documentary Framing Britney Spears, which aired last night on Channel Nine and it's safe to that viewers were left extremely angry. Plus, in today's deep dive...last night kicked off Confession Week on Married At First Sight to see how couples navigate honesty. The result? Not that. Today we dissect this monumental disaster in addition to the social experiment. The Spill is Mamamia's daily entertainment podcast that catches you up on everything in entertainment and pop culture. On the show today… Yas queen! Stan has confirmed that RuPaul's Drag Race Down Under is officially happening. And, a moment of silence for the Bridgerton stars, who are devastated that their sex scenes have ended up on porn sites. Plus, in today's deep dive Jennifer Lopez has once again denied using botox after a fan questioned her appearance. But when it comes to celebrity beauty businesses, that's not the question we should be asking.
