For generations, adults with ADHD have struggled to find workplaces and career paths that allow them to succeed, and usually ended up feeling like a square peg in a round hole. Those who have been able to figure out where their ADHD strengths fit best often did so after years of trial and error or were lucky enough to have a coach, mentor or parent who pointed them in the right direction. But what if job crafting for ADHD strengths was accessible for all? I came across an article in ADDitude magazine about ADHD and job crafting and decided to reach out to the author. A new global competition is taking place, and CNN Chief National Security Correspondent Jim Sciutto draws on his reporting from the front lines of political hotspots and warzones across the globe to explain history unfolding in front of us. The fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 was the beginning of the beginning. Three decades later, Jim Sciutto said on CNN's air as the Ukraine war began, that we are living in a “1939 moment.” The global order as we have long known it is now gone. Great powers are reinvigorated and determined to assert dominance on the world stage. As it escalates, this new order will affect everyone across the globe. Peace has been shattered by Russia's invasion of Ukraine, but in reality, this affects every corner of our world—from Helsinki to Beijing, from Australia to the North Pole. This is a battle with many fronts: on the Arctic floor, in the oceans and across the skies, and in cyberspace. Sciutto argues that we are witnessing the return of great power conflict, “a definitive break between the post–Cold War era and an entirely new and uncertain one.” The world order that marked the last 30 years is shifting, and Sciutto will explain the realities of this new post–post–Cold War era, the increasingly aligned Russian and Chinese governments, and the flashpoint of a new, global nuclear arms race. He poses a question: that as we consider uncertain outcomes, we ask whether the West and Russia and China can prevent a new world war. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Full Hour | In today's final hour, Giordano welcomes back in attorney Wally Zimolong onto the Dom Giordano Program for an update on his case pushing back against Act 77, which was approved in a bipartisan fashion, loosened the mail-in balloting rules while ending straight-ticket voting. Zimolong takes us inside the back and forth with Commonwealth Court judges, discussing arguments made by judges, including one that brings race into the debate. In addition, Giordano and Zimolong tell about the detrimental nature of allowing lax mail-in voting, and both offer why Pennsylvanians would benefit by ending Act 77. Then, after Wally, Giordano circles back to strategizing the response to Putin's invasion into Ukraine, playing back a clip of CNN's Jim Sciutto asking Biden spokesperson Ned Price why the administration continues to refuse a no-fly zone. Giordano takes umbrage with this suggestion, again explaining how a no-fly-zone would be met with ramped up retaliation by Putin. In the clip, Sciutto asks whether Putin essentially has veto power, and Dom agrees with this sentiment in a sense, explaining that we need to be careful to not draw ourselves into the next World War.

Jim Sciutto is CNN's chief national security correspondent and CNN Newsroom anchor. In his latest book, The Madman Theory: Trump Takes On the World, Sciutto looks at how a provocative approach to foreign relations, made famous by Richard Nixon, is today employed by President Trump on the world stage. Trump's mindset around America's relationship with other nations is understood in one word: transactional. “Trump's view of the world with adversaries and allies is ‘What are you doing for me? What are you doing for us?'” This has often led to extremely narrow points of view on issues where President Trump doesn't see the big picture as it relates to broader alliances. We see this playing out with China. Tensions have escalated sharply under the Trump administration with a trade war and attacks on industries like Huawei and TikTok. ————————————————————————— To learn more about this episode, including podcast transcripts and show notes, visit *salt.org/talks* ( http://salt.org/talks ) Moderated by Anthony Scaramucci.

Jim Sciutto - The Madman Theory: Trump Takes On the World CNN Profile CNN.com Richard Nixon tried it first. Hoping to make communist bloc countries uneasy and thus unstable, Nixon let them think he was just crazy enough to nuke them. He called this “the madman theory.” Nearly half a century later, President Trump has employed his own “madman theory,” sometimes intentionally and sometimes not. Trump praises Kim Jong-un and their “love notes,” admires and flatters Vladimir Putin, and gives a greenlight to Recep Tayyip Erdogan to invade Syria. Meanwhile, he attacks US institutions and officials, ignores his own advisors, and turns his back on US allies from Canada and Mexico to NATO to Ukraine to the Kurds at war with ISIS. Trump is willing to make the nation’s most sensitive and consequential decisions while often ignoring the best information and intelligence available to him. He continually catches the world off guard, but is it working? In The Madman Theory, Jim Sciutto shows how Trump's supporters assume he has a strategy for long-term success – that he is somehow playing three-dimensional chess. Now that we are four years into his presidency, we can see his unpredictable focus on short-term headlines has in fact lead to predictably mediocre results in the short and long run. Trump’s foreign policy has undermined American values and national security interests, while hurting allies who have been on our side for decades, leaving them isolated and vulnerable without American support. Meanwhile, he comforts and emboldens our enemies. The White House’s revolving door of staff demonstrates that Trump has no real plan; all serious policymakers—and those who would be a check on his most destructive impulses—have been exiled or jumped ship. Sciutto has interviewed a wide swath of current and former administration officials to assemble the first comprehensive portrait of the impact of Trump’s erratic foreign policy. Smart, authoritative, and compelling, The Madman Theory is the definitive take on Trump’s calamitous legacy around the globe, showing how his proclivity for chaos is creating a world which is more unstable, violent, and impoverished than it was before. Jim Sciutto is CNN's chief national security correspondent and anchor of CNN Newsroom. After more than two decades as a foreign correspondent stationed in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, he returned to Washington to cover the Defense Department, the State Department, and intelligence agencies for CNN. His work has earned him Emmy Awards, the George Polk Award, the Edward R. Murrow award, and the Merriman Smith Memorial Award for excellence in presidential coverage. On today's show we get into how a CNN story about a spy that was extracted from Russia because of Trump was actually pulled out because of the media, according to the New York Times. Also, a Washington Post columnist wonders what the point of his work is if Trump remains in office; social justice warriors set their sights on museums next; a disgraced #MeToo journalist's attempted comeback hits a bump in the road; Kamala Harris panders to the left on criminal justice issues; and saying, "guys," to a group of people is declared problematic. CNN's Jim Sciutto had himself a scoop — an American spy in Russia had to be pulled because the intelligence community was afraid the president would out them. It was a blockbuster that other outlets immediately reported. Then the New York Times poured cold water all over it. CNN's bombshell turned into another bomb. This didn't phase Sciutto or CNN. We have the story. Max Boot writes for the Washington Post, and no one cares. The columnist has been on a personal jihad against President Donald Trump, and now he's doubting whether his constant stream of anti-Trump screeds is having an impact. They aren't. We get into it. You'd think the definition of the word "museum" would be set, but you'd be wrong. Social justice warriors are aiming to change the very definition of the word to co-opt museums into their cause, and it will likely happen. We explain. Kamala Harris has a plan for criminal justice reform, and it doesn't seem to care too much for victims. We have the story. And "Now This News" declares the term "guys" to be part of the patriarchy, and therefore must be destroyed. Seriously.
