Moreton: Moreton is the musical project of Georgia Potter, a songwriter who divides her music-making time between Brisbane and Byron Bay. After playing under her own name and in other peoples' bands for several years, she released her first EP under the Moreton name in 2016, titled "Specimen". She has just released a new single, "See Yourself", featuring James Vincent McMorrow and a second EP entitled "The Dog Years" is due soon. While Moreton is normally a full band prospect, our team caught Potter in solo mode. Recorded at The Bearded Lady on the 12th of July, 2019. Empress: Formed on the Gold Coast, Empress released their debut self-titled EP in 2017 before playing their first live show several months later. Comprised of Chloe Cox, Benjamin Smith, Julian Currie, Shaun Allen and Jackson Tuchscherer, the band have since consistently gigged around town, developing their enormous onstage sound. Recorded at The Bearded Lady on the 20th of July, 2019.
