Cameron James & Alexei Toliopoulos
The Total Reboot with Cameron James & Alexei Toliopoulos podcast is a delightful and entertaining show that offers a unique twist on movie reviews. From the moment I stumbled upon it, I was hooked and eagerly anticipate each new episode. As a cinema lover, it's refreshing to find a podcast dedicated to discussing and critiquing movies in a fun and engaging way. The chemistry between Cameron and Alexei is undeniable, making for hilarious banter throughout every episode.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is the hosts' extensive film knowledge and insightful critiques. They truly know their stuff and offer valuable insights into the movies they discuss. Whether it's analyzing the directing, acting, or storytelling, they provide a comprehensive review that both informs and entertains listeners. Additionally, their ability to follow their whims down little rabbit holes adds an exciting element to each episode, making it a delightful surprise week after week.
However, as with any podcast, there are some drawbacks. One possible downside is that the show has transitioned from a "movie of the week" format to a more free-form structure. While this allows for more variety in topics covered, some listeners may miss the focused deep dives into specific films that were present in earlier episodes. That being said, there are still plenty of other podcasts dedicated to exploring movies on a deeper level.
In conclusion, The Total Reboot with Cameron James & Alexei Toliopoulos podcast is an absolute joy to listen to. The hosts' infectious enthusiasm for cinema combined with their comedic prowess creates an entertaining experience that feels like chatting with your funniest friends about movies. Whether you're looking for movie recommendations or simply want to enjoy lighthearted discussions about film, this podcast delivers in every aspect. I highly recommend giving it a listen if you haven't already—you won't be disappointed!

Horror filmmaker Ti West sits down with Alexei for a short sharp bonus chat in the lead up to his new film MaXXXine, the third in a trilogy of horror films starring Mia Goth. One of the key settings of his latest film is a dank 1980s horror/porno video store, so we had to jump over to Ti for a catch-up about it all. A much-treasured star of the Australian comedy scene, Aaron Gocs is bloody electric on screen. Catch him and a bunch of your favourite Australian comedians in THE EMU WAR, screening all around Australia this weekend (FIND A CINEMA NEAR YOU HERE). The Emu War gave me some of the most fun I've ever had in the cinema. Huge and powerful grubby laughs. You have to see it. Gocsy is one of Alexei's oldest mates in comedy, so he knows the fellas taste damn well. Might actually nail the recommendation on this one.
