Talking about romance and dating can be awkward conversations with our kids, but it's important that we help them frame their thoughts and feelings around this subject in a God-honoring way. On this week's episode we talk about how to have that conversation by discussing the Disney films Enchanted and Disenchanted (available on Disney Plus). On the Family Movie Night Podcast we want to help your family have better conversations around the content you consume. We encourage every family at Community Christian Church to have a monthly movie night, to help you and your children build memories and start conversations that matter. We want to not only recommend some movies you could watch on your monthly movie night, but give you some ideas of meaningful conversations you could have with your children during or after the movie. For nearly a century, Disney was synonymous with wholesome family entertainment. Now, it has evolved into a behemoth of woke capital, with shows and movies that push some of the most repulsive content imaginable. Will Donohue of the Catholic League has a new documentary about the decline, "Walt's Disenchanted Kingdom," and joins Charlie to preview it. Plus, Newsmax CEO Chris Ruddy discusses AT&T's politically-motivated move to deplatform his channel from DirecTV.Support the show: http://www.charliekirk.com/supportSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
In this final episode, Daniel shares his growing disenchantment with atheism and its lack of integrity and untrustworthiness with the historical facts. As he studies more and also begins attending some Christian churches, he discovers how Christian beliefs and relationships have been misrepresented by his Mormon religion. Brought face to face with the undeniable evidence for Jesus' resurrection and the incredible love and grace God is offering him in Jesus, Daniel decides to accept Jesus with both his head and his heart. The experience with a grace that saves and heals is unlike any he's ever had. See the show notes for Daniel's top picks for books that provide compelling evidence for the existence of God and the resurrection of Jesus.
The movie might not be very good, but this episode sure is fun!

People like Daniel are true health heroes. Like so many people who have been on my show, he went from pain to purpose. But not only did he perseveres despite the failings of the medical system and the marketplace, he created his own health healing device and now is sharing those with the world.Daniel Ebbett founded blockbluelight.com in 2016 upon his personal success of solving his chronic insomnia, migraines and eye strain by fixing his light diet and circadian rhythm. Disenchanted with the state of the blue light blocking market, which prioritised on looks over efficacy, so he designed and created his own and was amazed by the improvement his health. That was the start of his website and Daniel has persevered now for seven years providing people with the very best in blue blocking technology that was not widely available to the general public.Join us as we explore:How a teacher fixed her unruly classroom by changing the rooms lights! The impact of artificial blue lighting on brain fog, anxiety, headaches, concentration issues and mental performance. Why it's not blue light itself that is the real problem, but the mix of light spectrum, the amount of exposure to artificial sources and when in the day you are exposed. The worrying impact of LED and fluorescent light flicker in our homes and offices! What mal-illumination is and why it may be the missing piece in your health and wellness puzzle. An expert unpacking red light therapy – the good, the bad and the truth. If you can only afford one light device, Daniel's advice for the most health bang for your buck! Why yet another guest agrees that sunglasses are anti-ancestral wisdom and wreak havoc on your circadian rhythm.Contact:Website - https://www.blockbluelight.comMentionsScience – https://www.blockbluelight.com/pages/scientific-research-on-blue-lightPodcast – Jack Kruse Part 1, https://youtu.be/lMAkQ4H5x8oPodcast – Jack Kruse Part 1, https://youtu.be/swffkM4jsc0Support the showSUPPORT THE SHOW ON PATREON:As much as we love doing it, there are costs involved and any contribution will allow us to keep going and keep finding the best guests in the world to share their health expertise with you. With @kwsvocal it's all about the voice. Maybe you've heard Karen's before in a Disney film - she's in the choir in the new Disenchanted film, she's sung on Ice Age and many more. Karen is funny and engaging and interesting and we think you'll love this episode. Funny side note: this one was recorded on our phone because isn't that how life (and technology) goes some days?

It's a super-sized episode to get you through the holiday season! In our main segment, we review Disenchanted, the long awaited sequel to the 2007 musical Enchanted. Was this story of after “happily ever after” worth the wait? In Screen Time in the News, we discuss a roundtable conversation between directors of some of the year's best and most anticipated animated films like Pinocchio, Strange World, Turning Red, and My Father's Dragon. We wonder whether the complex stories they'd like to tell are a good fit for their audience and whether it's fair to expect kids and families to always be ready to tackle weighty topics. In a bonus interview, Katie talks to her favorite boomers (her parents) about A Christmas Story Christmas, and in her gritty reimagining Deborah casts Katie's nightmare - a mumblecore princess movie.
“My hair is so high and my dress is so low!” The ladies of Disney ReWINEd kick off their next 50 episodes with a long-awaited sequel, Rachel's pick “Disenchanted.” Adina pairs this with an enchanting red blend from the Dreaming Tree, a winery co-owned by Dave Matthews. Rachel shares her personal experience with the filming location, while Adina details the ridiculously long timeline that finally led to making this movie. Together they gush over some of their favorite actors in this musical 15 years in the making. So grab your Andalasian Wishing Wand, pour yourself a large glass, and rewind back to Disenchanted! Jodi, Bridget, and Philip return to the world of 'Enchanted' in its sequel 15 years in the making. Set around a decade after the original film, Giselle and Patrick have a child of their own, the infant Sofia, and Morgan is entering her senior year of high school. They move from their Manhattan apartment to the idyllic suburb of Monroeville, but Morgan (and to a lesser extent Robert) is unhappy with the change. Despite having a more-or-less amicable relationship with her teenage stepdaughter, the added friction of the move casts a gloom over the household that Giselle attempts to lift by resorting to magic. Using a wishing wand gifted to Sofia by King Edward and Queen Nancy of Andalasia, Giselle wishes for the fairytale life she was hoping Monroeville would provide, but the wand's spell proves to be far more effective than Giselle ever would have anticipated.... This week we're talking about the new Disney movie sequel, Disenchanted. They really just...give a very powerful object to a baby, huh?
Disenchanted is on trial this week. A real thumper of a Disney movie or does it flounder? Alex argues that a realistic look at what comes after a 'happy ever after' ending and a compelling performance by Amy Adams makes this a sure hit. Ausy says that while the ideas behind it are good, the execution is dire and this is destined to sit alongside Hocus Pocus 2 as a dud. All this with a quiz about Disney sidekicks and an impression of a chipmunk. www.filmsontrial.co.uk/224

Kevin and Doug get animated in this review of the sequel to Enchanted which is to say they review “Disenchanted.” The beginning of the episode starts out with a silly song and a bright hope for a long awaited sequel. But does this movie keep the guys feeling good and happy? Or does it leave them feeling uh… disenchanted.

The Disney Plus movie Disenchanted brings back Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey and James Marsden in the continuing story of a cartoon princess making a life in the real world. A follow-up to 2007's Enchanted, it has more songs, gags and conflicts between fairytale life and reality that animated, so to speak, the original.
Legendary Oscar-winning composer and songwriter Alan Menken joins host Jon Burlingame to discuss his songs for Disney's Disenchanted, the long-awaited sequel to Enchanted. Alan reflects on his enduring partnership with Disney, how he created the ‘magical' sound so many associate with animated classics, and why he's enjoying revisiting and reinventing that magic in this new film.

The Empire Podcast has more hat-tricks than Mo Salah, and this week is no exception, as we welcome three batches of tremendous guests. First, Paul Mescal, star of the wonderful new drama Aftersun, goes it alone, as he tells Ella Kemp that he's not as serious as the movies and TV shows he makes, no honest. Then, Chris Hewitt is the Host Of Christmas Present as he chats to Spirited stars Will Ferrell and Octavia Spencer about the best swag they've ever got from a movie. And finally, Amon Warmann chats to Florence Pugh and Sebastian Lelio, star and director respectively of stunning new Netflix drama, The Wonder. And as well as all of that, there's an actual podcast in there too as, with Chris stricken with lurgy, Helen O'Hara invites Amon and regular pod debutant, Sam Clements, into the virtual podbooth for a fun pod in which they discuss the fictional movie companies they'd buy and tank if they could; the week's movie news (up to Thursday night that is); and review Disenchanted, Aftersun, Confess, Fletch, Bardo, Spirited, and more in another jam-packed reviews section. Oh, and a special guest host drops in for a short while too. Enjoy! (And please accept our apologies for the delay in it going up...)
